WOW! Definitely a special occasion spot. Attentive service, incredible food (be sure to tell your server you want a cinnamon roll as soon as possible as they sell out). I was expecting it to be very loud because it is a DJ brunch, but it was perfect. Great music and you could hear everyone at the table.

Lovely and romantic Ventura Boulevard restaurant. Love the menu and pricing is fair for the delicious food. This is one of my favorite menus in the area. We had the brussels sprouts, Thai noodle salad and Branzino. Everything was cooked to perfection. My only complaint was the hostess was not very friendly. We sat at the bar since we did not make a reservation. It was a fabulous dining experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant. Valet recommended.

An upscale Sunday brunch experience. Great starters and huge selection of brunch options. They ran out of Chilaquilles so I ordered the prime filet eggs benedict. Was so good. Friends enjoyed the French toast and omelette. DJ kept the place lively. A fun people-watching place where people dress up and enjoy a great atmosphere

If you are looking for a steakhouse in LA - this is the spot. You’ll be treating yourself! A great trendy place. There is a bar area where you can get drinks and also get some food with their special menu. I have tried their Maragrita and it was really good. Otherwise, the dining area is quite big with a lot of space. It can be bit noisy if this is something you care about. The staff has always been very nice. Each time I came here I always really enjoyed the food. The meat is excellent, I usually just go with the filet mignon and their bernaise sauce. The fries are delicious. Coming here is always great, usually for special dinners and occasions because it is on the pricey side of restaurants. But, I will be coming back soon to try the brunch, which I haven’t tried yet!

I have been to Baltaire twice now, once for dinner and recently again for their brunch. The food is amazing but the service is exceptional. You can tell they care deeply about the experience from beginning to end. Also the brunch is not to be missed! We treated ourselves to the Bloody Mary cart and the cinnamon roll (call ahead to reserve, worth it). Definitely a splurge, but a great time any time!!

Walking into Baltaire is absolutely beautiful. The space is stunning and exquisite. We had a table of 10 with 3 wheelchairs and service was impeccable. We enjoyed everything on our table from drinks to dinner to dessert. The steaks melted in your mouth, the sides were all delicious including the Mac n cheese, which is a hard one for me. We will definitely be back again.

This is a beautifully stunning & very loud restaurant. Thankfully, we got seated on the outskirts but still the volume was intense. If, this is your kind of scene then this is the place to visit. The food we ordered was absolutely amazing. Fresh, tasty & of quality. Great place to share plates. Menu provided plenty of options for every palette. Desserts were pretty good but I was disappointed in the mango & raspberry sorbet. The mandarin was refreshing. Cocktails were too strong I thought but others like 1 and done. The flavor profiles were nice. Staff were super friendly & playful. Service was great!

Great service and atmosphere made for a pleasant evening. I would have appreciated more flavor in the dishes. The steak was cooked well but the side dishes were nearly bland. The croissant bread pudding had so much potential. Really needed a kick up on cinnamon and nutmeg, adding a quarter cup of bourbon or rum to the cream soak would boost flavor too. Nice location but don’t expect a lot on the meal.

We dined at Baltaire for their New Year’s Eve prix fixe dinner, and while parts of the experience were excellent, others fell short of expectations given the $195 per person price and mandatory 20% service charge. The food was largely outstanding. The oysters were fresh and beautifully presented, the endive salad was well balanced and flavorful, and the ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and truly excellent. The atmosphere was also a highlight—festive, elegant, and very much in the spirit of New Year’s Eve. The only culinary misstep was the beignets, which were thick, heavy, and even a bit tough, though the flavor itself was still good. Unfortunately, the service did not match the caliber of the food or the price point. Only one side dish was offered to be shared between the two of us, which felt stingy for a premium prix fixe menu; it would have been far more appropriate to serve two smaller sides instead. Service was notably slow throughout the evening, particularly when it came to clearing plates after the entrées. The table was never properly cleaned—crumbs were left on the tablecloth, and new plates were simply placed directly on top of them, which is unacceptable at this level of dining. Baltaire has all the elements of a top-tier dining destination, but on a night with such a premium price and expectations, the service details matter. With more attentive pacing and refinement in service, this could have been a truly exceptional New Year’s Eve experience.

Stopped for brunch and had the chilaquiles and eggs Benedict, both were delicious. Their lattes cocktails were good but one was a bit too strong. Overall great experience!

So first time for brunch here and the last one! It’s fine, nothing interesting and extraordinary, but there is nothing like it in LA, so we came to check it out. Amazing Bloody Mary cart!!! Delicious cinnamon roll - order with your server upon arrival, steak was great, the rest was good. Even it’s $89 per person, Bloody Mary service, champagne service & cinnamon roll are not included. We spent $509 for 2 people (service 20% included). DJ wasn’t creating any vibe at the place, was really boring. Was or worth it - strong no.

although the steak was delicious (we ordered wagyu a5), the rest of the dishes here were less than stellar. you can skip the Caesar salad (no flavor), onion rings (bland) and the bluefin toro crispy rice (overpowered by sauce). spicy salmon crispy rice was good, and the creamed spinach was excellent. service was great, and they don’t keep you waiting too long in between courses which was well appreciated. Don’t know if I’ll return, but if I do, it’ll be a long time from now.

I visited Baltaire after a friend highly recommended it—and after my algorithm was flooded with videos of their famous giant cinnamon roll. Those two things ultimately convinced me to give it a try. I went on a weekend, when they offer their brunch menu. There was a live DJ, which unfortunately made conversation extremely difficult. The space is enclosed, carts are constantly moving through the restaurant, and with other diners talking, the overall noise level felt chaotic and overwhelming. If I remember correctly, the brunch is a fixed price—around $85–$90 per person—and includes five shared appetizers. The only ones worth mentioning were the mezze and the whipped feta, and even “worth mentioning” might be generous. They’re simply the only ones my friend and I could recall afterward, as we didn’t finish any of the others. For my entrée, I ordered the Maine lobster omelette. Considering I had gone for a long run that morning, worked out, and then drove over, my hunger was real—and my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the dish fell flat and was a letdown. Things only went further downhill with dessert. I ordered the much-hyped cinnamon roll and managed just one spoonful before giving up. While I did appreciate the birthday card and complimentary dessert gesture, the overall experience left little desire to return. All things considered, this was my first—and last—visit.

Mediocre at best. It's a shame because the restaurant itself is gorgeous with beautiful ambiance but the food and service don't even come close to matching the setting. Grilled artichoke - exactly that, nothing more. Bluefin toro crispy rice - good. Greek salad - drenched in dressing, far too wet. Bib salad - good. Porterhouse - good. Filet trio - completely overcooked. Onion rings - awful, soggy and not at all crispy. Mac & cheese - good. Mashed potatoes - good. Ora King salmon - dry and overcooked. Branzino - decent flavor but nothing special. Asparagus - burnt beyond saving. For this price point, playing a hit or miss game with every dish is a total waste of time and money. Everything should be cooked right the first time. The service was worse than the food. Our waitress asked for our order after drinks... but never gave us menus. When the entrees arrived, the plates had visible dirt on the tops and large smudges underneath. Our server disappeared when we needed her. The manager only came by after we had eaten half our meals, too late to fix anything and her response to our concerns was, "Thank you for your feedback." That's not service, that's deflection. This place is clearly being run by people who are underqualified and untrained. If the manager can't even handle a basic service issue professionally, there's no hope for the rest of the team.
