Fantastic food and great service. We were there on a very busy night. Including someone's 90th birthday. The packed restaurant didn't seams to influence the food or service. We tried the unlimited bread. We asked for vinegar and oil which they brought. Bread was very good. Was being baked and cut near by our table so it was impossible not to order. Would recommend. Prices seamed extremely reasonable, plates sizes are a little smaller than at some restaurants, however seamed like the right size so you finished full, but no left overs to take home. I liked the idea pay less for smaller meals. Lobster ravioli was amazing. As well as the Alfredo fettuccine. Good dessert options. We tried both the lava cake and vanilla cheese cake. Both were top level. Wanted to try the spaghetti ice cream but will have to be for next time. Had good prices on wine and wine bottles for restaurants. They do let you bring you own for a fee. This has currently moved to the top of our list for Italian food in the Beverly Hills area and we will be back.
I'm not one to write reviews... but this place deserves it. Best Italian spot in LA. My girlfriend and I came here unexpectedly on a late night during vacation and both agreed it was the best meal we had our entire trip. We even came back again right before we had to fly out of LAX. Both times the food and service were beyond excellent. The chef comes out to talk to you and help you order. Very personal and delightful experience. The prices are so great, we didn't feel like we were overpaying for the first time in California.... If you are thinking of checking this place out, don't hesitate. 5 STARS!
Food was very tasty, the service was great, the prices were affordable, the atmosphere was pleasant. Definitely will be coming back here when we want delicious Italian food.
I’m so happy that they are back in business! So sad for them that they can’t have outdoor dining, even in their nice patio. But happiest for me that I get to bring their homemade style food into my home! I ordered the yummy minestrone soup, which is basically vegetable and tomato soup, but I don’t like to fill up on noodles anyway. My favorite is the eggplant Parmesan appetizer. Not heavily breaded! So enjoying the full flavor of the eggplant, cheese, and tomato sauce. (It was so good, I forgot to take the picture before I devoured it!) The Restaurant obeys social distancing, allows only one person indoors at a time, provides sanitizer, and requires masks. Even dirty and clean pens are separate. You feel very safe there.
This is a great place to dine. They have the best Italian food. We did pick up this time and it did not disappoint at all. The place itself is so pretty, and clean. It is comfortable and you will get great service whenever you go. Make a reservation or you will have a very long wait. The place is just adorable inside and out. We love all their pasta and have eaten there more than once, but we were in a hurry to get home so we just called and it was ready for us the minute we got there. Their penne pasta dishes are my favorite and it matters not which one you get. All of the food is wonderful. We also love their chicken parmesan and they have great starters as well. The prices are fair for what you get. Our take out was just perfect and all we needed.
Though serving popular appetizers, we were delighted to find that they also had some authentic appys like white anchovies with mozzarella and stuffed zucchini flowers. We ordered bread, which came with an olive tapenade-so good! And the Lobster Ravioli which was delish!!! The meal ended with the best cappuccino and espresso you could ask for. And the service was excellent! Highly recommended! Grazie mille.
Just moved to Culver City area and was looking for pizza and never knew a about this Italian restaurant. Food is very authentic and delicious. Pizza was thin crust and sauces taste homemade. The inside looks very warm and welcoming. Next time I will definitely get a table outside. Get some wine and unwind at this awesome place.

Loved getting some traditional Italian food on a Saturday night. Welcomed at the door and the great service continued throughout our delightful dining experience. I have the spaghetti and meatballs. My eyes were bigger than my stomach when I ordered the extra meatballs… but it was worth it. They were delicious. I'm fairly certain it was one of the best pieces of pumpkin pie I have ever had. Definitely in the top 5 ever. Looked like an ideal setting for 2 to 10 people. I look forward to going back.
Easily the best Italian food in all of Los Angeles! Every dish is so authentic and the staff makes you feel so at home.
Been eating here since their previous location a few doors down. I love absolutely everything I order here, from the thin and crispy pizzas to the chicken milanese to my favorite, black and white pasta! It can be casual, romantic, or quick and easy. It’s really a beautiful place, and whenever we try another Italian restaurant in LA, we always wish we’d eaten here instead. Just a perfect balance of ambiance, reasonable price, and quality.
The cannoli here are absolutely delicious, with a crispy shell and creamy filling. They also make fantastic Italian cookies that aren’t overly sweet. The shop smells amazing the moment you walk in. The owners are warm and welcoming, often offering samples. It’s worth stopping by if you have a sweet tooth
First time visiting LA and we just stumbled to Trattoria Bella Roma just by chance. We are italians, and let me tell you, we don’t joke with food. The experience, service and food quality was great, Roberto was looking after us and made us feels right at home. Absolutely didn’t feel like US at all. Thank you Roberto and team, highly recommended!
I found this lovely restaurant taking side streets on my commute home and initially noticed the French restaurant right nextdoor, but when it came down to trying it out, went first to the Trattoria and have not stopped returning. First of all the food is excellent, as is the service. The lovely gentleman (I presume the owner), from Rome has been incredibly welcoming each time we have returned. The biggest challenge for me is to decide what to try next. I have now tried apps, soups, main courses, pastas, and most of the desserts. There is nothing bad and no choice that will steer you wrong. I like lasagna generally, not love - like, but I've had it here twice. It's amazing. I've had the veal Marsala...amazing. Boscaiola (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and it was gorgeous. And the best part, beyond the fresh bread and olive spread that continually comes to the table.... The price is right. It's the only restaurant in Los Angeles where I can have apps, drinks, a main, and dessert without feeling like I am going broke and leaving disappointed. In fact I consistently walk away feeling the opposite - full, happy, and like I got a fantastic deal. This may be the best kept secret in LA.
Absolutely the BEST Italian food, service, and atmosphere. We have been here one other time and Roberto and the staff are amazing and welcoming just like the first time, except this time they remembered who we were, including my wife’s wine order. The food is cooked perfectly and has the homemade taste. You’ll be greeted with a smile and they are prompt at the service once you’re seated. You have to try the chocolate chip Cannoli Cake at the end. Though they are an intimate setting they welcome small children and families. One of the best pets is there is plenty of one and off street parking. You’ll definitely be missing out if you don’t try them at least once.
It’s always so wonderful to be at Cafe Bella Roma! The food, the service and the warmth of this cozy restaurant is always so welcoming! They make the best Mushroom Pizza in the city! We always feel so special when we’re there! I love all of the pasta dishes! You will find something wonderful to eat, and you will keep coming back for more!

Came to Trattoria Bella Roma with a large group. Staff were accommodating and friendly, and our meals came out quickly. Unfortunately, my steak was burnt and did not taste as advertised. Portions were large and desserts were sweet but not overly. An above average experience.
Nice little mom n pop Italian restaurant in west LA. Food and service was good. They have both traditional and American Italian food.
Really nice place to enjoy food; as well as the service being good, they are respectful & the place is clean.

My friend made a reservation for 9 for her birthday on a Friday night. For the size of the restaurant, it is rather small. Would definitely recommend making a reservation. Service at the restaurant was great! They gave us a pizza on the house, and the waiters were very courteous and prompt. They also serve complimentary bread with olive oil and vinegar. I ordered the arrabbiata, which was a spicy marinara pasta. It was pretty good and the portion was not bad at all. A little too spicy for my own taste, but the other dishes that my friends ordered were all pretty good. Prices for the dishes were quite reasonable, too. All the dishes we ordered were around $12-16, so definitely a place with good and affordable food. Because it was my friend's birthday, they also gave us a free pie. Parking is rather hard to find because it is Downtown Los Angeles. If you are lucky, you can find parking in the neighborhood right next to it, but the parking lot for the restaurant is rather small and you may have to find street parking. Overall, would recommend people to come here and try out this restaurant.
The atmosphere is ok.The food is ok.I was served a goat cheese salad with unripe pear and unripe pitiful tomatoes hilarious, also my main dish of meat ravioli was undercooked. The bread was the best thing about this pretentious restaurant. Been there twice.won’t be back.
I had been coming to this restaurant for years as it's close to my house, well never again! The Chef came out to talk to what seemed to be friends for a couple of minutes and the manager and waitress decided to start yelling at the Chef in front of customers. That was clearly a bad idea because you could taste the anger of the Chef in the food and it is clear he hates working there. The veal milanesa was soggy and burnt, the "grilled" carrots where old and chewy, the spinach looked not wilted but rather depressed and ready to die, the potatoes were dried and tasted like days old, and while things were burnt at the same time everything was cold, not seasoned and simply TERRIBLE! My mom's and my sons entree were also a disgrace, it's one of those restaurants that lives in the past and has 500 things in the menu to appeal to "somebody". The manager was rude, if you HAVE to eat here go for the pizza at least that they still do semi-decent, everything else you will regret for the rest of your life. Simply go eat some real italian food someplace else.
