This place is truly a gem of a restaurant. Italian food made by Italians!! I desperately hope they will preserve the taste of tradition, not of fusion, Americanization, and popularization. There are many Italian restaurants in LA But there are very few "real" Italian restaurants. Especially this kind of home-cooked meal. Parking is difficult, but it has a powerful flavor and atmosphere that you can't help but visit. Grazie for your kindness & warmth. 🫶Paula & Luigi🫶🇮🇹 Go Inter Milan☝️☝️⚽️😉
👌 I wanted to reach out and share that I had a wonderful experience at your restaurant. It is a great spot for a date night; the atmosphere was very warm, inviting, and romantic. The lighting and music were perfect, and the food was excellent. Additionally, the service provided by Dylan the waiter was exemplary. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend your establishment to others.
Colori Kitchen is an underrated gem here in Mid City. We saw an influencer post about Colori and decided to come, and it exceeded our expectations thoroughly! Come here for the food, stay here for the atmosphere. They’re family owed and make you feel like part of the family.
I lived in Rome for a period of time and was craving Italian food that was reminiscent of authentic Italian meals. Colori Kitchen brought me back to some of my favorite meals in Rome. We ordered the following: 1. Insalata Adriana 2. Chicken Marsala 3. Tagliatelle alla bolognese 4. Ravioli di Zucca All the dishes were well balanced and flavorful, particularly the bolognese and ravioli di zucca; some of the best I’ve had in the States and abroad. The salad and chicken Marsala were excellent complements to the meal. Their corkage policy of BYOB at no additional cost is phenomenal. Service was attentive and welcoming, and Paola made us feel like family. We talked about life in the States versus Italy and the arising cultural differences. We could’ve spoken with her in hours. The interior felt homey and had that classic trattoria vibe. We saw a lot of mobile orders and pickup, which is wonderful for their business, but we do wish more people would enjoy their food at a table with friends. We’ll definitely be returning.
I love Italian cuisine, it's seriously my favorite food; specifically pasta, spaghetti to be exact. This place drew me in with its different spaghetti dishes and incredibly pleased at how amazingly delicious and traditional the food tastes. I ordered the Spaghetti Al Pesto (absolutely divine) with tender chicken breast and my partner had the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese. He scraped his plate! I wish I had remembered to take a picture of our dishes but we were starving and completely forgot. The atmosphere is a very intimate setting. The location can be easily missed but once you step into the restaurant, you are graciously greeted by a member of this Italian family-owned establishment. The husband (owner) is the chef, and wife, Paola (other owner) along with son, Dylan handle the front of the restaurant. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Paola definitely the brings authentic Italian flare to this beautiful, quaint, and intimate dining experience. We were able to try a couple of their homemade desserts, of which I remembered to takes pictures, and were both delicious. If I had to pick one, though, I'd say the Canolis are my pick...and I live for a Tiramisu. Their Tiramisu was also very good, however, the Canolis took the W this time. All in all, everyone needs to visit this establishment. The food is amazing, the customer service is top notch, and the establishment is authentic Italian-family owned.
Great neighborhood spot - we live nearby and like to come here for a cozy meal. They have a simple beverage menu with a few affordable and mass-appealing bottles of wine available. For a meal for 2 people including 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 2 entrees, and a bottle of wine, our bill came in just under $100 (before tip). Everything was delicious. We saw positive reviews of the sausage appetizer, and it didn't disappoint. The server mentioned that the pumpkin ravioli would be sweet, and she was NOT exaggerating. I ate all of the ravioli, but did leave wishing I had something more savory - it was almost like a dessert. I went in thinking I would get cannolis for dessert, but there was no need after the ravioli. Last time we were here, I had the mushroom risotto, which I found to be more balanced.
Live nearby and searched for Italian places on Google Maps. It looked a little hole-in-the-wall from the pics there but 1. It was super easy to find. 2. There's some parking. And 3. It is absolutely homey, quaint, and cozy! It felt very warm (the vibe, not the temperature) We got there right as they opened for dinner. Got to meet the owner and his son and they made us feel like guests in their home. EVERYTHING was delicious. And the portion sizes were just perfect. The free bread was fresh and warm. My dad and I ate through 2 baskets within 5 minutes. We got the Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti Aglio & Olio both with added chicken. They tasted divine. We couldn't resist ordering dessert. The Tiramisu was good but the Flan was absolutely 'perfecto,' as my dad said. The staff were all very polite and customer service was top notch. The owner and his son made sure to chat with all the tables and really seemed to care for their guests. Overall, absolutely blew my expectations out of the water and I will definitely be back!
Wow the food is the best I’ve had in along time. The food was fresh warm and very tasty. Loved the service and they couldn’t do enough of us. Must dine here.
Delicious home style Italian food. I had the bolognaise. It was delicious. My friend had a very large lasagna. He enjoyed it as well. The calamari steak appetizer was also different and good. The service was prompted and efficient. All in all a good experience. We returned in March 2018 and I'm happy to say that the quality is still excellent.
Family owned authentic Italian restaurant , excellent taste at reasonable price
Very authentic Italian food, the food was so good, the pasta was amazing, the best part is you can bring your own booze 🍸, so take a bottle a wine and have all night dinner there,
Some of the reviews here say the pesto spaghetti is good. It's not just good, it's DIVINE. The best texture, creamy and rich and full of basil flavour. Sauce to pasta ratio is insane. Get it - and do yourself a favour and get the lasagna too, and the bolognese. We didn't get a chance to try the cioppino, but next time for sure. We also had the calamari special, with a delicious smoky flavour that was to die for. Overall one of the best Italian restaurants in LA for sure, and low-key as well.
Their food is always consistently good.. service is always great and their BYOB policy is always a plus! I've rarely been disappointed with any if their specials, but their bolognese, cioppino and calamari are always my favorite.
You can taste the quality! oh my goodness. Everything tastes like someone's grandmother made it. It's sooo filling. After you eat this lasagna you're not going to be able to eat lasagna anywhere else. I was honestly shocked at how good it was. Get the lasagna and the squid. you won't regret it.

Italian is one of my favorite cuisines and I’ll eat as often as I can. Colori is one of my go to Italian restaurants. It’s not a fancy place, it has more of a mom and pop feel to the place and that is what makes this place great. Their food taste as if they have an old Italian Grandma of Grandpa in the kitchen cooking up their secret family recipes. Couple dishes I love are the lasagna and the spaghetti carbonara. As for their deserts, their cheesecake is sooooo damn good. They’re working on getting a liquor license but in mean time you can bring your own bottle of wine...that is when they’re allowed to serve people indoors.

An hidden treasure! The food was amazing and made to order from scratch. The minestrone was a thicker version and delicious. Lasagna was full of flavor and melted in our mouth. Dylan was attentive, polite and made our first experience what will be one of many to come. The panna cotta was a great closer, creamy with the perfect balance of sweet. With incredibly reasonable prices, especially for what it costs to eat out these days, you won’t be disappointed.
Dear friends…if you haven’t been to Colori Kitchen…run don’t walk! It’s THE best! First off, the vibe is so cute - it feels like you’re in your families home. Exactly how a restaurant should feel! Also this place boasts the BEST lasagna in ALL of Los Angeles! I’ve had many things here, other notable things are the burrata, the rack of lamb, the tortilla soup and the Adriano salad. Love it! ❤️
This neighborhood gem offers an intimate and authentic dining experience with exceptional, homemade made pasta and warm hospitality that makes you feel like family. We ordered the bruschetta, the spaghetti pomodoro, and the aiglio olio - everything was fantastic, so fresh, and reasonably priced. Would definitely come back again!
Was one of the original diners when they originally opened in DTLA. Food is still delicious with generous portions. Excellent service as this is a family owned establishment.

Amazing food, amazing service, great vibes, fresh noodles, so many rounds of FREE bread. Absolutely incredible.

Dylan and the lasagna were amazing! What a find! Don’t sleep on this spot! Super cozy inside with a cool plant ambiance.
such a lovely restaurant; and the food was very authentic and delicious. the owner served us our food and explained every dish. lovely atmosphere, will be coming again!
Food was good. Caesar salad dressing was weird and was also expected big pieces of Parmesan not grated cheese :/
Came here on a Saturday night with friends. Would recommend getting a reservation cause the place is on the smaller side. Had the Spaghetti with pesto + chicken topped with cheese. The prices are reasonable and the food was good. Servers were friendly and attentive with our needs and water refills.
