A hidden gem in the mid city. We have lots of Salvadoran and Mexican food but not Nicaraguan and Honduran. The prices are cheap and food is delicious

Loved the food Amazing service will deff come back
My experience here was excellent. A friend and I stopped by and both ordered the carne asada plate. To start, it was a large plate filled with food, the aroma was mouth watering. The carne asada itself was tender with impeccable flavor! The rice was super delicious as well, as were the plantains a delicious crunchy side to the plate. I washed it all down with a nice cold Mexican coke. I am not too nit picky about service but the service was excellent! Overall, we left satisfied and full! Would gladly come again.
Small place, but biiiig in flavor and season... A place to go with your love ones... FYI: I paid my check...🤣
Excellent delicious clean and great prices a lot variety of food.

Great service friendly people ...the food is fresh and delicious. And a variety of options to choose from . very satisfying every time I'm here.
This is my new Nicaraguan place to eat, is always available, food is amazing, the staff is like family, there's karaoke is everything you ask for, and they have the world famous Toña Nicaraguan beer. Highly recommend
First time, this was my boyfriends childhood place and his mom brought us today...I had salpicon and it was delicious! Also cold cocoa was my drink, was basically the best chocolate milk I've had in a while 😄
Very delicious, taste, and the best part I believe it is not processed. I would recommend it to anyone who want to try Nica food.
The food was excellent…alot of it and super deliciously authentic too. Enjoyed every bite till i rolled out lol

Great !! wish they would remodel. food is pretty good
Great food, sketchy neighborhood. Poor parking.
It's a local family restaurant with good service and food.
For an evening in the city. Good food at a reasonable price. BTW the paella was delicious and the Ribeye tender.
Food is excellent it tastes like homemade food! Can improve in the service a little bit!
Pretty authentic food from Nicaragua. Comfort food that is different from the usual, Nacatamales are delicious!
Mama was craving food from the motherland. Found this mom and pop spot. Had a few parking spaces in the back. Looks shady, but the food made up for it. Delicious and good service. Food came out nice and hot and with lots of flavor. Definitely coming back.
We liked this little Nicaraguan place. Had the Fritanga plate was perfectly enough for two.

Always a great choice to swing by El Camacho, would recommend to any Nicaraguan or Central American who misses the food. The great thing about it is that there's food that everyone will love, so check it out. Enjoy! Disfrútenlo!
Who doesn't like Nicaraguense food? Super helpful and happy people serving some yummy food. Thank you for a pleasant experience. When we are back in the area, we will stop by again.

Good food but it needs a bigger parking lot
El Camacho Nicaraguan restaurant is a mas o menos of a restaurant. I was very displeased with how the food was cooked. I ordered a sopa de mondongo and it tasted old. The food portion was good but it can become better. When I mean better I mean that they can start by getting fresh produce to make their food worth wild. I would also say that the cacao drink tasted good but not authentic. Overall this Nicaraguan restaurant can become better if they start by cooking authentic Nicaraguan food. I also consider to say that the restaurant needs a major upgrade. Overall I give this restaurant 3/5
The food is good and the staff is friendly. The portions/plate are big. They have like 30something different pates to choose from. The menu includes pupusas, panes con pollo, carne asada and much more. The place could use a little update in decor.

I used to come to this restaurant as a child, with my parents when the owners were Nicas back in the 90s, and I remember the food and the hospitality were 5 Stars. As of today the restaurant is under different management. The food is alright the service ok.
I order a salpicón meal with gallo pinto and queso frito. I also order a Nacatamal . The Nacatamal was ok , the salpicón and gallopinto was very good. The service was bad but I guess in our culture there’s no such thing as good service. They are inattentive and just don’t care about good service really. Will not come back

I don’t like cacao is like water and I think there from Guatemala because they don’t know how cook Nicaraguan food
They forgot I ordered and took forever to get my order out The service was extremely bad
Food wasn't good. Service was a bit worse than the food, and they weren't even busy. The table that came after us almost left because their food was taking way too long; the food we ordered was nothing at all like the actual Nicaraguan plates. I only give two stars because I was told it was also Salvadorean, so maybe it was the salvadorean take on Nicaraguan food? .... Still, I don't think I will be going back.

Confirmed a reservations for New Years and when we got there they were closed. Thx
Honestly they don't even deserve a one star but I have to put at least one star to make this review. I ordered their mixed plate which should have shrimp, steak, and chicken and they literally only gave me 3 shrimp a little piece of steak and literally no chicken. Plus they have no AC or refills. And they charge way too much for the portions they serve. I guess some of their family members went too while we were there and when we saw their plate they had packed it with so much food it was falling. That's just discriminating and straight up mean.
We order Carne asada omg paresia don't even know how to tell you one thing I know it's not worth it. If I would had open the bag since we order to go I would had left it. This was the 1st and last time I go there cacao to much sugar
I use to come to This place for Years . It’s been 10 years since I last came however this place needs to close its doors. My maduros are reheated rice old and the fried cheese was reheated $60 bucks later not worth the drive or Time. The actual dining area was filthy.
