Small bar like restaurant with great energy. Staff was good about seating everyone comfortably throughout dinner. We had 1 of each item on the dinner menu. Pork gyoza, yuzu salmon sashimi, and spicy tuna-crispy rice were my favorites. Highly recommend making a reservation because only 15-18 guests can be seated at a time. We will return for sure.

Wonderful evening at the Gyoza Bar, small setting, yet the originality of their creations sparked my taste buds! I enjoyed the cold tofu with chili oil, savory in crunchy green onions and mixed kaiware sprouts with a dash of bonito dashi! My favorite main dish so far was the pork rice bowl, simmering pork belly added with a poached egg it’s paired nicely with a refreshing cucumber mint yuzunade!

A perfect night out in echo park would start here - line your stomach with yummy gyoza, sashimi, a rice or noodle dish, the spicy tuna crispy rice FOR SURE and pair with a sake or beer - then go out on the town and drink more! Or simply come especially on a weeknight for good vibes and great food. The red light is very flattering for a date night and so is the cozy seating.

Such a cool hidden gem! Speakeasy vibes type Asian fusion bar/restaurant - very limited seating, you waitlist at the door (we waited 30-40min for 3 people on weekend night) - you stand at the bar to order then get seated when your wait time is up. Gyoza was very good and loved the shochu! Definitely pricey but worth a visit.

Maybe the name is not completely on target since they have a lot more tasty food than just gyoza. Tsukemen was delicious with snappy noodles and a refreshing creamy broth. Cold tofu was also very good with it's bright fruity dressing. Gyozas are top notch. It's a take out window or if you want to eat indoors, there is almost like a speakeasy bar inside with a very cool atmosphere. Feels like a small bar in Japan. Friendly service too! If you go for lunch (until 4pm), some items are cheaper. $25 for lunch and I was full. Soon they will have ramen too. Can't wait to try .

This is a hole-in-the-wall counter-service bar that makes you feel like you're in Tokyo with great music, Japanese cinema projected on the wall, and delicious food & drinks. We had the vegan gyoza, which tasted like there was pork in the filling, soft tofu with a crunchy shiso chile sauce, and their "sour beer" which has Asahi and citrus juice in a frosty glass. Everything was amazing.

This was my first time visiting this place, and I have to say, the only ones truly making it stand out are the servers. Those girls are amazing! Even though the space is small and seating is limited, they know how to make every guest feel welcome. Honestly, I’m only coming back for their incredible service. Please consider giving these girls a well-deserved raise!

BOMB!!! Absolutely obsessed with this place. Gyoza Bar is hands-down one of the best new spots in Silverlake. The vibe is effortlessly cool—minimalist yet warm, with the kind of laid-back energy that makes you want to settle in for hours. But let’s talk about the food: next level. The gyoza are chef’s kiss—crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. You can tell they’re handmade with care. The pork and chicken were standouts, but the vegan option was just as delicious. Don’t skip the dipping sauces—they elevate everything.

It feels like a ramen counter straight from tokyo. The crimson glow lighting. The bar-only seating. You won’t find extra flourishes, just well executed staples. From every staff member, service is swift and polite. The pork gyoza arrives crisp-bottomed and sizzling with a juicy filling that’s both savory and soothing. The tsukemen dipping noodles are cool, firm, and deeply enjoyable. These noodles are meant to be dipped into a heady broth, a blend of heat and warmth. Like a ritual: you dip, you slurp until nothing remains. The crispy rice with spicy tuna seemingly never disappoints with this one exhibiting genuinely spicy, fresh jalaneño. The well-spiced ground pork in the bean sprouts with spicy pork complements the fresh snap of sprouts and the subtle sharpness of leek. Finally, the buckwheat tea. Healthful wonderfully aromatic brew that is entirely gluten-free despite its misleading name. Ultimately, the restaurant delivers on its promise: an excellent journey into precise, authentic japanese flavors.

We tried the vegan and pork gyoza, spicy tuna crispy rice, salmon sashimi and a couple of drinks. The pork gyoza definitely stood out and was perfectly pan seared yet very juicy on the inside. For drinks we had the Yuzu Piña Colada and the Cucumber Mint Yuzunade which were refreshing and generously portioned. The crispy rice was very flavorful and the marinade on the sashimi was so fresh and citrusy which made the salmon really pop. Service was dry but everyone was very efficient at flipping seats in order to accommodate waiting customers. Overall the food was very satisfying and didn’t disappoint.

A friend of mine found this place on instagram and wanted to try it out. The food was very average. Nothing overwhelmingly delicious and we probably will not come back. The restaurant is very very small but it was not at all busy on a Saturday for lunch. Service was good. Price was okay but then the dishes are very small. The gyoza was not special at all. The most tasty dish was the crispy rice with spicy tuna. Everything else was just not memorable.

The cold tofu was pretty good but the gyoza has very little filling so it’s not a good value item - I’ve had gyoza for the same price with about 2-3x the amount of filling in it. The tsukemen wasn’t that spicy and it was cold (usually tsukemen is warm). The service is good and tons of street parking in the area.

Eating this solely on the actual gyoza as we didn’t try any noodle or ramen dishes. First impressions: very chill spot, dark and moody small bar; great for a quick bite. Simple menu with the gyoza and ramen taking the spotlight and some light cocktails too. I have to say I was disappointed with the gyoza. It’s one or the other. Either fill up the wrapper with more filling or make a smaller wrapper. Almost every bite explodes with hot soupy water from the inside. And you can barely taste the simple ingredients within. It says it has ginger but I could barely tell. Everything is so finely minced it’s more like a puree of ingredients. Whether this is traditional or not I find that gyoza from other restaurants or even frozen ones have more texture and flavor than these. The lunch special we got came with a nice simple side salad and the Gyoza came on a bed or simple white rice. Would have been nice if it was flavored with furikake or something! We also got the Cucumber Mint Yuzunade made with shochu. Could barely taste any alcohol but it was a refreshing drink regardless. They also have their popular HiroNori ramen bowls but we figured it’s best to just go to one of those restaurants directly to experience firsthand. Overall kinda disappointed with the simple menu they have here. They also only have pork and vegetable gyoza. Traditionally the kind you would make. But I do wish they had chicken. They did mention they would begin experimenting with shrimp ones soon. And ones with cheese which seems odd over chicken. Overall there are plenty of other local options for gyoza.

The gyoza was very tasty😋 I love how the white rice was cooked as well. Loved the atmosphere in this restaurant very chill and friendly people.
