Very savory. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Menu is similar to a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

Located on the 2nd floor of LA City Hall near the elevators, Homeboy Diner serves breakfast sandwiches, soup, tamales, sandwiches, baked goods, juice, snacks, drinks, made to order coffee and lattes, and premade salads.

I had a Turkey Avacado on Croissant it was very tasty and filling. The staff was nice and helpful with ordering.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Homeboy Diner, and it was a culinary journey like no other. This American food haven in Sacramento offers a menu that celebrates the flavors and diversity of American cuisine. From the juicy burgers to the perfectly cooked steaks, every dish showcased the chef's dedication to quality and taste. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, providing the ideal setting for a memorable meal. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional. Homeboy Diner is a true standout among Sacramento's dining scene.

This isn't so much a personal review as it's a vote of confidence for the business itself, in the hope of a future visit, having read much goodness about the establishment and the purpose of its existence: to help former prisoners, ex-gang members, and as it says, those who are at-risk for trouble. We don't see that kind of forgiveness and offering the olive branch to others in this world, and it's places like these which help right wrongs and try to prevent future wrongs from happening. To the employees who work here, this one knows nothing of your past choices, but you're doing the right thing by being here, with a job that is simple and can help set on a path to a comfortable life. And to anyone who thinks negatively of this place, kindly leave such thoughts to yourselves. These people are trying to be better and it does no good to make them feel bad because of mistakes while on the job, among other human error that we as mere mortal people all face in life. We all have bad days, and we should be more forgiving to these individuals when such moments can happen at work. Patience, compassion, and simple kindness go a long way. And one other point about this place that is definitely a high mark: having the weekends off, allowing the employees some time to enjoy leisure activities with friends and family. I hope to one day visit this place and experience the service it provides, while encouraging the employees to do what's good and right for themselves and others.

Second time visiting here because we craved it so much! I love this place, even only just half of the chicken can make two people full enough. Good price and amount. Highly recommend!

The chicken salad has WAY too much of raw onions for a workplace cafe! Onion is the predominant taste. It's impossible to get through afternoon meetings if you eat this for lunch. You'll have onion breath all afternoon. It's usually spicy red raw onion and it's chopped up you can't really pick it out. I won't be making that mistake again. LOL Turkey sandwich was tasty, but the bottom bread gets soggy from the tomato. The last turkey sandwich was actually wet in one side (bread was mush).

I got the turkey avocado sandwich and a bottle of vitamin water. Came out to a little over $9. The sandwich was pretty filling and they give a lot of avocado. Everything is freshly made on the spot. Located inside the city hall on the second floor.

I'm glad I was too, although I just grabbed a simple salami sandwich, bag of chips and soda it wasn't anything's ng but plain old good. I'm used small quick bite to eat places not paying attention to detail. To be Frank, my salami sandwich was paired with a nice slice of provolone cheese! Was up Honey! Good Job. I had to look around, I snooped over at my partners tuna and no cheese on his, Perfect! I began to wonder. My suspicious nature probed more and yes! No two sandwiches were alike, each with their respective ingredients. Ham with Swiss, Turkey with Cheddar... ok that's enough. Chips come in a bag, Soda bread n a can whatever. It's all good in the hood for me! ...the best is the combo came with a nice Big Oatmeal Cookie! ...my partner got chocolate chip cookie, I ain't hating.

I like this place. I like food. The food is very fresh and tasty. But the service is very long and not careful. Has warned that I'm allergic to nuts, they brought the salad with nuts. Was indignant, and then remade salad.

This place is definitely not a diner. It has limited menu. I might comeback for coffee if i'm on the 2nd floor of City Hall, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. There's not much else to say.

$13 Cobb salad but NO SALAD DRESSING. I asked the cashier where is the salad dressing for the salad. He said it’s a small package inside the container. Now I’m home ready to eat by salad but I have no salad dressing ☹️
