You don't need to be gay to come to this bar. My wife, friends, and I had an awesome time at this place! Great price for the beer! Great atmosphere! Great music! Great service! They don't have food, but there is a subway just around the corner that is open till 10pm. The restrooms could be a little cleaner but that doesn't stop you from having an awesome time at this place! Thanks Jalisco Bar!
Had lots of fun. The place needs some work(restroom/ceiling) but the atmosphere is great. Singer was getting the crowd involved and had everyone cheering on. Music for dancing was put on in between the shows. Drinks are $10 had a michelada and margarita. They were ok. Place started popping 11p-midnight.
Being downtown's oldest gay bar don't expect the latest in bar scene trends. Do expect a great price on beer and cocktails, and a nightly raunchy drag show in Spanish. The clientele heavily leans Latino so if your rusty on your Spanish be warned. The staff are bilingual so no problem there, but patrons less so. Otherwise just order a drink and enjoy yourself.
After seeing some of the reviews, I was kinda hesitant to come, but turned out to be pleasantly surprised! Parking can be kinda tricky, but there is a paid lot next door. The woman at the bar seemed pretty cool, and I was able to get a drink pretty fast. The drinks were kinda on the pricey side, but they tasted great to me.
This immaculate bar is a great time. I was reckless with my phone there and found it behind the bar because it’s a chill spot with patrons who have integrity. It was popping on a Monday and everyone was having a great time
Spent my birthday here on a Thursday night and Had a private lap dance from a dancer from the show. It was amazing. Been back many times, and enjoy this bar. Just note that it's cash only, and the dancers are great eye candy.
It's a cool place. Stopped in before a concert, they were really nice, staff was friendly. Good service!

It's a Mexican gay dive bar. No attitude and cheap drinks, what else do you need? The place can be totally fun and a great place to hang out before or after visiting the theater district or shopping in DTLA. It's also close to the subway, so you can skip the crazy traffic and insane parking which is a real plus. It's the oldest of the current gay bars in DTLA, and still a lot of fun.

Visited this bar on a Thursday and it had a drags and dancers show. Good vibe. Felt a bit crowded, messy.
I'll admit, this is a hole in the wall bar, but it's really fun! They have very entertaining drag shows and a friendly staff. Beto is our favorite bartender, so make sure to say "hi." If you're hungry, they serve tacos at the front entrance that are very tasty.

Usually a cover, They have a great selection of GoGo boys on Tuesdays and Thursdays but they are pushy for tips. Overall great experience, have become a regular.

Boys Night Uot! Friendly bartender, but was a ghost town when we went. Ceiling was missing some panels in a few parts and overall felt cluttered. But liked that it was family run and good vibes.

This place has so much potential, but some of the staff that work here need better attitudes. Let me start by saying this bar has the best male gogo night on Thursday, it is free to get in before 10 and $15 after. The Drags Queens here are also great. Where they need improve is there is no AC in the entire bar so the only thing keeping you cool is fans. On Thursdays it get packed and very hot in the bar without the AC. Also the alcohol they serve is trash. There is no good Vodalk not even a smirnoff. The last thing is the lady behind the bar is extremely rude to customers. The male bartender is always nice, but the woman bartender is extremely rude.
The atmosphere here is a bit fun, but the gogo dancers are pushy to get money out of you. The bucket of Coronas is ridiculously over price at $42 for 6 beers!!! Is hard to support a small business with does prices, when their bathrooms aren't even clean, and their floors falling apart. My friend also hurt himself on his foot because the flooring had holes in it. Their AC wasn't even working either it was so hot in there as well. They had a commercial fan that only blew hot air!! If you're going to charge an arm and a leg for drinks, make your establishment better equipped to handle that much traffic!!

The bartender was very disrespectful. He said goodbye to me by giving me a nickname as if I knew him or he was my friend. Tonight there was only one bartender and a woman, so it's easy to identify. It was the disrespectful person.
Went with a large group and bought shots, $8 a shot, and they were watered down. When we told the bartender she got upset, she said it was the type of tequila. Other drinks we ordered tasted watered down as well. You don’t cheat people and expect not to get called out, don’t waste your time or money comin here.
Wanted to check this place out for the first time. Got there early since it's free before 9:30. I walked in because no one was at the door. There was a bartender who looked like he would rather be anywhere else. I made a comment about showing up early to not pay the cover, and all I got was an eyeroll and annoyed look. I wasn't aware it was cash only, which in this day and age is extremely unheard of, so I didn't come prepared. But the vibe was just unwelcoming. I wouldn't go back.
We had just paid our cover and sat down to enjoy the show. We have been regulars for the past 2 years. This “lady” comes over and rudely motions us to leave as we weren’t buying drinks. Despite paying the cover and intention to tip the performers, we were rudely told to leave. Need better service and attitude.
This place leaves the door open and loud music with the bass plays and disrupts the apartments all the way til 3 am
When at this bar, there were only 4 customers, and the music was too loud. I could not here myself think nor have a conversation. The lady behind the bar is VERY RUDE. I asked her to turn down the music. Her response was: "I no speek Ingleesh." She shrugged her shoulders, and walked away. This Lupita should not have any contact with customers.
