I was feeling sushi, but I was tired of going to the same spot as always. Had been driving past Niko’s for a while now, but had never stopped. I absolutely loved it. Fish quality was on point. Service was great. Prices were fair. Paid ~$89 for this + a Miso soup, beer and a coke. Had Christmas music playing and vibes were good. Room for opportunity: it was a little bit dark in the dining room. Will definitely come back!
Originally opened in 2008 Niko Niko Sushi sits on the northern side of the Palms District near Mid City LA. I live a bit west of this location and I’ve passed it countless times over the years but this past weekend my friends and I were looking for a great local spot and Niko Niko popped up on our must visit list. A few of us who are from LA have already been here, but it was a new spot to the others in our group. As many of the reviews mentioned the service here is very friendly and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Pricing is what is to be expected for a sushi restaurant, there are definitely a lot cheaper places, but also a lot more expensive places. You will have to pay a lot more for Omakase at one of the older sushi restaurants in LA which is known as a sushi city. I think Niko Niko is a great balance between casual and premium and we all had a great experience. They have a free parking lot attached to the tiny shopping center that it’s located in so parking won’t really be an issue ever. For our visit we ordered a mix of items, which is common for all of our sushi visits. We started off with a series of nigiri, my favorite being albacore and sweet shrimp which they had both. Next came a few different hand rolls and we especially enjoyed the blue crab hand roll special , which was filled with delicious real crab. Lastly, we got a few different special rolls for the table and each one was a real hit. The portion size was very generous and honestly all of the items were very good. Our bill came out to be about $175 for four people without alcohol so it definitely could’ve been cheaper, but also could’ve been way more expensive, just depends on what you are used to. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great sushi spot, especially if you’re looking for a casual spot that also has premium ingredients.
How did we miss out this place for 17yrs? 😳 The owners & team are super attentive & kind — excellent service. Fish: super fresh Quality: 👨🏼🍳😘 Portion: generous Value: solid My parents are waiting for their next trip to dine here. 🙏🫶🍣🥢🍶
Amazing fresh food. The people are very welcoming and the food is traditional and authentic
When to Niko Niko for dinner with some of the family, they frequent this location and I will be as well in the future. We were greeted and seated quickly, it is spacious and welcoming although when we were leaving it was busy and people were having a wait. The sushi was fresh and presented nicely, the salmon skin salad is large enough for two, it’s so good I kept it all to myself. If you enjoy wasabi you’ll love it here, wow what a kick I got a couple times. The staff is very friendly, being we were there a bit early for the crowd they may have been to accommodating, checking n us every few minutes. If you are in the neighborhood and looking for a great sushi spot this one won’t disappoint!
The restaurant space is clean and had enough tables for a fair amount of diners. Service was fast, friendly and efficient despite having only one server during our visit. Everything tasted great from the soft shelled crab tempura, nigiri, to the rolls. The seafood is fresh, you can tell by the color and the texture. I say overall excellent value for your money. I am glad it's they're not too far from my place. Fresh smelling hand sanitizer with moisturizer placed on each occupied table. Parking doesn't seem to be bad. I couldn't really tell because we just walked going to Niko Niko. Will come back! 👍🏽
Second time here, food is amazing, fish fresh as always, the only thing i would want that they could add is beef udon instead of only chicken or salmon tempura.

I've been coming here for years and the quality and atmosphere hasn't changed one bit. The food Quality is top notch and the staff are so friendly. Whether I sit at the sushi bar to watch some sports/chat with the chefs or sitting down at the table with friends and family, this is my go to Sushi spot!!
We have been coming to Niko Niko since 2018. The food is so fresh , the service is so kind and respectful . When our kids are visiting from France this is our happy place where they want to go with the family.
The fish is so fresh and high quality, and served up in generous portions. My favorite roll was the hot babe roll. I agree with another reviewer who said that this restaurant is in-between casual and premium.
Absolute banger of a spot! Cute little Japanese restaurant where the service and chef are both top notch. The fish is fresh, the sushi hits, and you'll leave satisfied.
Great place. Fat pieces of fish. Super filling. Will come back
Came in for lunch and this sushi was the best I’ve ever had. The Niko Niko roll is AMAZING. Wish I could go back in time and have it all over again. My new favorite spot, won’t disappoint!!
Wow, I genuinely haven’t had sushi this delicious in a really long time. The pieces of fish were beautiful and everything tasted fresh. Had the R&B roll, the In & Out roll, salmon and albacore sushi. So. Good. Can’t wait to try more on the menu. Service was friendly and prices were fine.
I’ve been going here for 3 years now and the quality has not changed. Amazing sushi spot if you want something very tasty and worth the price. the staff was very welcoming and positive. my favorite order is the westwood roll and it is great! highly recommend!

First off let me say for the most part service was great, there was an older lady with glasses who me give 1 less star. I think she just wanted to go home cuz I was enjoying my beer and told my server that I will pay once I am done, but the older lady was like pay now. So I had to get up and go the front to use my apple pay. They were closing soon, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt but there were others who were still seated eating. Atmosphere was friendly, greeted by the chefs and greeter, my only wish isit was more dim lit. Food was an A+ and huge portions for the price, I had a whole meal for one day and ordered a bento. I wish they did Door dash or sole other food delivery but they do take pick up orders. Overall pleasant experience and good food with a chilled beer glass 🍺 …def will be back!

I ordered a take-away sushi set, but they chose to offer me sashimi with a bowl of rice. That's not a sushi set, that's a work-in-progress sushi set. To be honest, it's my first time experiencing this as an Asian who has been eating sushi for years. However the fish are all fresh and of high quality. It deserves a higher rating than the original one.
Standard sushi restaurant that leans more on the American style side, where they have these crazy rolls with a lot of sauces and toppings within. The food is consistent and is pretty good. The service is quick and fast. Please note that this is actually owned by Koreans, so it's not the most "authentic". Walk-in with no reservation is fine as it's a big place. Free parking in their lot. Worth checking out if you're craving sushi and you're in the area. Not something I would go out of my way for.
Their sashimi and sushi rolls taste good, very fresh. However the sashimi was a little under defrozen so i still tasted of ice crystals in my first bites. They are a little pricey, I would say about 35 and up per person.

Their base roll is the California roll. The portions are large. I did not like the ratio of imitation crab to the different toppings. The rolls were good. The salmon was fresh though 👍🩷

Eh... The quality of the sushi was good, the technique in making it was inconsistent, almost sloppy. Presentation was your living room. The service was unprofessional and frustrating at best not making for a good experience. Although the general decoration of the place was not bad, the haphazard storage of chairs and restaurant supplies all over the place ruins the vibe. I was unfortunately disappointed. I would like to like it, but no thanks. When you are paying for a premium product you expect some things.

Teriyaki chicken plate came up to 15 something it was not filling nor good it was very plain. If I would've know I would've went to Oki dog on pico cheaper plate, fresh and, tastey for less. I wouldn't come back here. The ladies that work there are rude too.
