A traditional dinner with veal with tuna sauce and agnolotti. Everything was delicious, with a touch of creativity (my wife had the Rabaton, which was decidedly unique compared to the usual ones). The view was breathtaking, and the service was adequate. The waiter was extremely kind and took care of us, even offering us a double round of the much-loved local amaro. The price was reasonable considering the location.

Not only is the location enchanting, like a true fairytale, but the food is surprisingly good. Perfect for a dinner with friends in the cool of the hills, or even better, for a romantic dinner. Excellent service, truly helpful and very kind.

My wife and I had lunch at this little restaurant on New Year's Eve, and we were truly satisfied with the experience. If I may recommend: tagliolini with white truffle for starters and dessert, and hazelnut flour cake. Not that the other dishes aren't good, on the contrary... but these two truly exceeded our expectations! The service was excellent. The waiter was very kind and even recommended the most unusual dishes for us to try.

The restaurant is located in a charming small town Lu. Very welcoming staff. Good food at a very reasonable price. Nice view from the terrace of the restaurant. Get menu in English from their website if you do not speak Italian.

We had lunch at this restaurant, located in an ancient monastery overlooking the hills. You can dine on a beautiful terrace (we ate in the elegant indoor dining room, but honestly, I preferred it that way given the heat outside). We chose the tasting menu, and they were very kind in offering us a variety of dishes. The dishes were very good, using high-quality ingredients. They also served a welcome appetizer, a pre-dessert, and a brittle treat with coffee—things that make you feel pampered. They also have a wide selection of wines. The service was top-notch; the waiters were attentive to our requests and highly qualified, friendly but never intrusive. Exceptional value.

Abbiamo cenato in coppia qui un sabato sera e dopo abbiamo pernottato nella loro struttura. Il ristorante è elegante e si trova in una struttura storica molto suggestiva, ristrutturata e curata nei dettagli. Come antipasti abbiamo preso la battuta di fassona con tartufo e il polipo: eccellenti entrambi. Abbiamo proseguito con i tagliolini al tartufo nero: purtroppo non al livello degli altri piatti, è stato quello che abbiamo apprezzato di meno. Il dolce è stato veramente la ciliegina sulla torta, le pesche ripiene erano sublimi. La presentazione dei piatti è molto bella e curata e appaga l'occhio, il personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile, ci ha cortesemente orientati nella scelta del vino. La carta dei vini è assortita con vini di alta qualità. Nel complesso avrei dato volentieri una valutazione di 5 stelle se non fosse stato per il primo. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

A charming restaurant located in a historic 15th-century building overlooking the Monferrato hills, perfect for a romantic dinner, a special lunch, or an important occasion. The cuisine is Piedmontese Italian, with expertly executed traditional dishes, such as homemade agnolotti, glazed beef cheek, and other seasonal options made with the freshest local ingredients. Pasta and bread are made daily with organic flours, and the wine cellar is well-stocked with quality local labels.

A very beautiful, well-preserved restaurant in the highest part of the village of Lu M.to, which was a pleasant surprise. I came here for the first time on a warm Saturday evening in late June: the restaurant was packed with customers, and the staff was courteous and helpful, although a bit overwhelmed by the crowds and the heat. We were lucky enough to get a table on the covered outdoor terrace, where we could watch a beautiful sunset and enjoy a lovely view while staying cool. The dishes are traditional Piedmontese, but not particularly good. Excellent value. Worth a try.

The Antico Monastero in Lu Monferrato offers an experience that goes beyond simple dinner, even at lunch: as soon as you enter, you're transported to another era, thanks to an extremely characteristic and unique location. The historic atmosphere is made even more captivating by the attentive service, which stands out for the care taken in selecting the wine best suited to each diner's tastes. Each meal is accompanied by a delightful discussion of local wines, with careful analysis and sound, expert advice that enriches the food and wine experience. Unfortunately, despite my initial enthusiasm for the tasting menu, I was disappointed to discover that this option is restricted to everyone at the table. This requirement can create some embarrassment and require convincing the entire group to participate, which I consider a risky choice on the part of the management and a limitation for the customer. However, the dishes served lived up to expectations. The linguine with black truffle and hazelnut, as well as the meat-filled agnolotti del monastero, are delicacies prepared with excellent ingredients. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients make each course a true pleasure. An added bonus is the convenient parking, which makes arrival easy and the entire experience even more enjoyable. Despite some limitations, L'Antico Monastero still manages to offer a high-quality culinary experience, immersed in a unique atmosphere, even for a special lunch.

I was here recently. The place is very charming, both inside, where it evokes all its history, and outside, where it almost makes you feel like you're in another world for those of you who come from the city. It's easy to get to and has ample parking. The restaurant is upstairs and is truly welcoming and warm. The waiter, super kind and helpful, welcomed us. We sat down and he immediately explained the wine list and menu to us. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely thrilled with the food; I expected a bit more. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. If you haven't been yet, go!

Siamo andate in questo ristorante la sera. La location e’ suggestiva con un bel panorama. Quello che abbiamo mangiato era ok ma niente di speciale. I formaggi non erano ricercati. La mia tartare e il flan erano buoni. Ho assaggiato la guancia brasata ma non sapeva di niente. Il servizio ahimè era un pochino inadeguato, superficiale e impreparato . Abbiamo chiesto info su qualche formaggio e ci hanno risposto di vedere su google. Anche al vino, abbiamo chiesto info speravamo in qualche consiglio, ma ci hanno risposto “Barbera” e stop.

We had dinner celebrating a birthday, given the location I expected the same in terms of food but unfortunately it wasn't like that... The menu was much vaunted but in fact average, let's say that for what we spent we could have ordered more, the terrace where the dinner took place was quite suggestive.
