Large selection of beers on tap. They have pool tables, and indoor and outdoor sitting areas great for large groups and gatherings...
Nice indoor/outdoor place to hang out. Good music, sports-bar-meets-backyard-party kinda place. Not too rowdy at 10:30p on a Friday night in late February.
Try their chicken wrap special, fantastic! I would have given atmosphere a 5, however, it was a little too loud for me and the dog. We had just arrived from an 8 hour car ride and would have appreciated a little less volume. However, I knew I could get something good to eat if I stopped in, so I did.
I was in town for work and looking for a place to watch Monday Night Football. When I walked in there were a ton of seating (3 different large areas) and a ton of TVs. It was quite but you could tell this would be a fun place on a weekend. I had ordered the chicken quesadilla which had a lot of cut up chicken in it and plenty of cheese. It also had a nice buttery taste. I also grabbed 6 of the bone in hot habanero wings which were big in size and coated with plenty of sauce. When I am back in town I will definitely be back!
I don't really think ours was the normal experience, apparently when the lights come on and the sun goes down, it's a whole different place, but I can definitely say that we enjoyed the sunshine out afternoon experience. The food was good seem to be more of a sliders and other basic items
Update as the menu has totally changed! Little Woodrow’s in Lubbock is a fun spot if you’re looking for drinks. Great selection of beers, good cocktails, and a lively college atmosphere that makes it a great hangout. The staff is always friendly and on point, which makes the experience even better. It’s also an awesome spot to watch football plenty of TVs and a laid-back vibe that makes game day a blast. That said, I’d recommend sticking to drinks here. The food just doesn’t compare to other Little Woodrow’s locations and isn’t really the highlight. Come for the drinks, stay for the atmosphere (and the games), and you’ll have a good time. ------- The service was excellent. Waitress was friendly, attentive, and provided awesome service. Food was above average. Ordered wings and a burger. The atmosphere was rad for Monday Night football. The semi outdoor/indoor vibe really creates an awesome atmosphere. Cool place to go watch football!
Terrible service. We had to go find someone for menus and to order drinks. The drinks then took 20+ minutes to arrive. Limited menu. No changing stations in the bathrooms. They had the swings and slides close because it drizzled rain and they didnt want them getting dirty (even though they are outside items). The kids had space to run around and that was the only perk of this place.
I would suggest going somewhere else if it's Game Day in Lubbock and you want food while watching the game. We ordered our food a 1150 am and got chips and queso an hour and a half later. I get it, it's busy, but chips and queso isn't an hour and a half wait type of thing. Go to Cujos on 4th if you want quick service during a game in Lubbock. The TV and atmosphere is good, and I'm sure it's a nice place when a game for Texas Tech isn't happening, however this isn't a good look. If you only want to have a drink, this is a good place to come to, but food, pregame the place or avoid it. Others waited just as long and when we got our chips, another table asked when we ordered. They ordered at 12:15 and we're still waiting on chips and queso as well. The point of a limited menu is to ensure quick service, I don't think they fully understand that.
Came here on a Sunday, out of several beers food is ok and very limited. The cook vapes over your food, fries very salty. They do have some fun games here, and no smoking which is a plus. Would I come back or recommend…..ehhh definitely not. You might say well you went on a Sunday, they should know how much product to have on hand. It’s not like they just opened.
Personally I feel like if you’re ordering something and you don’t know the price the bartenders should tell u before. And also 45 dollars for a bucket of seltzers is crazy. I know it’s not the workers fault for the prices but Woodrow’s definitely need to do something about that price cuz I was mind blown by it
I used to love Little Woodrow’s and went often, especially early on. Service, food, and atmosphere were great. But after about a year or two away, I came back—and wow, what a change. I waited 30+ minutes at a table with no service, while staff joked around and even played games. The only person who helped was the manager. I’m blown away by the decline and won’t be back.
I went to Little Woodrow’s on New Year’s Eve, me and a couple of friends went to the bathroom and saw this girl who was over served sobbing her eyes out. She was really really drunk and crying hysterically about her boyfriend. Staff came into the bathroom and escorted her outside. I wanted to go check on her to make sure she was safe, and when I did the boyfriend was outside getting really close to her. I tried to tell staff that he was why she was crying to get him away from her, and I was called a slur by the boyfriend. There was a bunch of staff outside that heard him call me a slur and did nothing about it. It seemed like they were protecting the boyfriend. When I went back inside they came up to me and asked for my ID like I did something wrong when all I was trying to do was to make sure this girl was okay. Even though i showed my ID when I first got inside. A security man came up to me a little later and “apologized” and when I asked if they would ban the man who called me a slur he said no. When I left the man was outside and was staring at me I felt so unsafe, he could’ve had a weapon on him and did something to me. That night it didn’t seem like they protected women or queer people but instead protect men who call people slurs and was scary towards his “girlfriend”. At least 3 staff people heard him call me that and no one did a single thing about this dangerous and hateful man. I will never come back here, the service is bad, the food is mid. I would recommend if you’re a woman or queer person that you do not come here they will not protect you and make sure you’re safe. I had to walk to my car feeling so unsafe because they let this man loiter outside after he called me slurs and was the reason this girl was in the bathroom sobbing her eyes out.
No urgency at all from our server here. We waited over 45 minutes to get our drinks and 2 hours for our food. Once we reminded our server about our food an hour after we had been waiting it seemed like she never put in the order to begin with and forgot about it. Our sliders came out soggy and extremely disappointing given the amount of time we were waiting.
Extremely poor customer service. I had to wait over 30 minutes just to order a drink and nearly an hour to order food. I kept asking the server each time she came by if I could place my order, and she kept saying, “I’ll be back to take your order,” but never did. It took over an hour to finally receive my food. This has happened every time I’ve come here, this was my final straw. I won’t be returning.
Took my family and some friends for the first away Tech game vs Utah (11am game). They are not from Lubbock so I wanted to show them a cool place to watch the game. Let me first start off by saying that our waitress was great. She checked on us often and had drink orders quickly and correctly. However, the food/kitchen was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a bar/restaurant. We ordered 2 chips and queso appetizers for the table, then 3 of us ordered sliders. This was about 10 minutes into the 1st quarter when we placed our food order. Vibes were good, Tech fans were happy, drinks were great. Halftime rolls around. We are starting to all get hungry so I politely asked our waitress to check on our food order. She came back and said that the kitchen was backed up and that she would keep checking for us. Fast forward to the start of the 4th quarter. Still no food, no appetizers. I am pretty pissed at this point, and I feel bad for the waitress because I can tell she is flustered and is getting nonstop complaints from people. I decided to go to the source this time and ask the kitchen. 2 and a half hours and we couldn’t even get our chips & queso? They told me the same thing, rudely said that the kitchen is backed up and food would be out shortly (which is what I heard an hour ago). I am fuming at this point, not even wanting food anymore. They finally bring out the appetizers, and I kid you not, there was the smallest amount of chips on a paper plate that I had ever seen. I am almost laughing at this point. And I am very angry. So I walked the chips up to the kitchen and said “does this look acceptable for a family who just waited 2 and a half hours for an appetizer to come out?” They gray haired dude with a ponytail sarcastically laughed in my face and threw another handful of chips and the plate as if he did it on purpose in the first place. I really like the setup and vibes of the place, but the food service was absolutely terrible. Not just bad, but worst ever. Get it together. That is unacceptable. I could have driven to Plainview and sat down at a restaurant, ordered, ate, and drove back to Little Woodrow’s in Lubbock and still not have my simple appetizer. That is embarrassing service. FIGURE IT OUT.
We decided to try this bar for the first time while visiting Lubbock since it was right around the corner from us, but the experience was really disappointing. The service was terrible—after waiting about 30 minutes at the bar, we finally got the bartender’s attention, only for our drinks to come out wrong. The bartenders seemed very slow and not efficient at all, especially with how crowded it was. There were huge crowds of people waiting, but far too few staff to handle it. Definitely not a place I would recommend if you’re looking for good service or a quick drink.
Holy cow this place was terrible. I'm not sure where to start. The menu is now a one sided half sheet of paper. Sliders, fries and wings. The sliders claim to be wagyu, but it was so overcooked and thin, no way to prove what it was beforehand. It's served on Hawaiian buns, that's how small they are, 2 per entree. Absolutely gross and underwhelming. Aside from the place being empty, it took over 20 minutes for sliders to be served. Now on to the white queso, it had large chunks and tasted of mildew. The server agreed with us, it was probably bad and still charged us for it. Go anywhere else for food, come here for drinks. They do that part well. I had a low bar set but they bragged about wagyu. It was absolutely not and hands down, the worst dinner I have ever had. That's an accomplishment.
I do not recommend this establishment due to extremely poor treatment from the door staff. The bouncers here are unprofessional, dismissive, and quick to assume that any out-of-state ID is fake. Instead of handling the situation with respect or professionalism, they choose to be unnecessarily rude and confrontational. He said either he could take it or have a cop come and take it. It’s illegal for the bouncer to take personal property. I found this experience incredibly disappointing. If you’re from out of town or have an out-of-state ID, be prepared to be treated unfairly. With so many great bars and restaurants in Lubbock, I would suggest spending your time and money elsewhere.
I had 3 different people tell me food would close at 11:30-12. Attempted to order food and was told they close when they want. Please put hours up for people to know. Tried to order sliders at 10:50 and was told they chose to close. Please clarify hours for those of us that would like to order. Or at least make an announcement the kitchen is closing.
Worst service I’ve had in my life. Had 4 people in our group and was one of the only groups there at about 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered food at around 12:50 and waitress kept coming back and bringing drinks/refilling drinks and saying food should be nearly ready, sorry we have 8 orders right now and that’s why it’s been slow. Even then, 8 orders should not be that big of a deal for a place this size. After going up to the bar multiple times and asking about our food, nothing happened. One order of sliders came out around 2:00, but nothing else came out with it. At about 2:30 we were fed up and all were hungry, so we talked to the manager. He ended up taking off a few things and saying next time y’all come in y’all can get a free meal, but never asked for a name or anything. Not sure why he didn’t just give me all our drinks for free right then and there because does he really expect us to come back after that? 0/10 service at this place, I would understand if the place was packed, but it wasn’t. Plus we were one of the first groups there. Said they “lost our order”, but we said something multiple times so how do 4 different people not see that when we asked them about it. Terrible experience, never going back.
