The beans were amazing. My son wants me to include that the fries were amazing. He was also really enamored of the decorations.
Been ordering the nachos here for decades! Love to come here for a quick lunch or bring the kids for dinner. They have great kid’s plate prices. Just with they had draft beer.
Absolutely wonderful. Great lunch specials and very good prices. Thankful for good food and great salsa bar!
I ordered Chicken Enchiladas with Sour Cream ! And got Cheese Enchilada with Sour cream ! I took it back up there and got what I ordered! It was a new waitress up there taking orders ! I have been there many times ! Did y'all change tortillas they taste different and you have to cut with a knife ! Thanks Melonie Fowler
The layer dip is phenomenal! It is a meal unto itself. Be sure to buy the bag of chips rather than the basket so you can enjoy the rest at home. It's a very generous serving . Chips are very fresh. Love the tortilla soup & comes with a soft or hard shell taco to boot. Extremely reasonable prices!!
Wonderful food at a great price!
First time I have ever eaten here. The food was good, and very reasonable priced
Amazing and friendly atmosphere. We love the strawberry margaritas and the queso is so amazingly good. This is the best queso I've ever had for sure.
Fantastic food and atmosphere! Brisket nachos were tasty and was a massive plate. You gotta try the layered dip if you go here! Will be coming back to try more and enjoy this nice restaurant.
Went to eat there recently had a great experience with Z she was very friendly and helpful, food and service was on point ! Great place for lunch I really appreciate how polite the staff is there
Brandi was great! Very pleasant service 💖
Used to come here every Saturday night, now it's just whenever the mood strikes. Great food, friendly employees, great service.
We love Mamarita's! Their queso is perfect (not too spicy for the littles). Love their salsa bar! Sour cream chicken enchiladas, nachos and taco plate are usually our go to's. We've never been disappointed. Staff is always pleasant.
I just moved in the area, my friend took me to Mamaritas for a couple of beers. While there I ordered the most delicious three hardshell tacos I have ever had and I had just came from California. The employees are so wonderful with attending to service. I will recommend this place to all my friends.
Great atmosphere for sure. Food was excellent..and very reasonably priced! Our waitress was very polite but she did get my enchilada wrong, I'm still giving 5 stars because she's human just like the rest of us.
Their menu has been expanded to include some trendier taco options. The vegetarian black bean option was amazing! And our traditional favorites are still delicious and seem to be in even bigger portions on pretty new ceramic platters.
I recently went over to the Mamarita's Border Cafe in Lubbock. When I visited the very nice dinning hall I was very impressed with the small details this well maintained establishment was operating. I visited the bar where two of the nicest, most friendliest, and quickest bartenders Kyleigh and Tanner was running the bar. I’ve been around lots of restaurants and among other things and honestly Kyleigh and Tanner would make my list of the top 5 team driven bartenders of all time, if you believe in a hard working and awesome service I’d recommend Kyleigh and Tanner as your bartenders over here at Mamarita's Border Cafe in Lubbock, Texas.
Mamaritas has something for everyone. Outdoor patio seating, indoors in the AC, and bar seating. It's a tad smokey duento being a smoking bar area. There are closed doors between indoor dining and the bar but you know how it is. The food is pretty cheap and delicious. The happy hours can't be beat- their regular prices are pretty good, too. Great place to spend some time and have some drinks! Their salsas in the salsa bar are absolutely top notch and I love their queso. Haven't had anything bad off the menu. The Smokey Pig nachos and the beef qeusadillas will fill you up.
Thursdays.. 1.00 crispy tacos… beef OR chicken…. Lots of salsa choices and pico de gallo… DELICIOUS! Full bar available … great music playing… We go Thursday evenings… never miss…
Good variety of food and sauces. The price is reasonable. They made room for a large group of us. The setup is good. Stand in line to order and go sit at table. They call your name and you pick up food. No waiting for a wait person or paying a tip. We did tip the cleanup person.
Taco Thursdays is awesome. The best homemade Taco 🌮 shells ever with your choice of beef or chicken with fresh lettuce and tomatoes and cheese 🧀 for .99 cents and 6 different salsas to choose from every Thursday all day. Amazing and authentic. Thank you Trish for everything.
I love Mamarita's I don't come back to visit very often , used to come here often before I moved away in 1994. So glad it was still in business & the food is still fresh, flavorful & they have the best queso & flavored chips that I got to take extra order back to Oklahoma with me & share with my family. They provide fast & friendly service restaurant is clean & has good free salsa bar to add to order! Always have loved eating here and was not disappointed on my trip back now! If you've never tried Mamarita's on Slide road & 289 you are missing out on very good Mexican food you need to try it once bet you'll come back for more!!! Love this place thank you for providing great food all these years!!
Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere!! I've been coming here since I was a teen and it hasn't changed. 10/10 would recommend and do recommend to everyone I know.
I didn't eat here, but the bar area was fun. Regulars are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. As a visitor from out of town, I will definitely be back.
I did give this a 5 star about a month ago. Have really enjoyed the place but the last 3 weeks we go in, can't get service in the bar. Waitress keeps passing us but does not ask if we need anything. Today just killed it took kids and us to eat. Order didn't get the order right. Had to wait for a plate of quesadillas. We ordered 2 plates the other plate they said we never order refuse to give us our receipt. That was the last time I go in there. There is better places for drinks and food.
For as long as Mamarita’s has been open in Lubbock and being here all my life. I have not ever tried the food until tonight 12/29/24. I never knew what I was missing out on until I tried the Beef Enchiladas, Rice and beans I really have to say they were delicious and filling. I tried the Hot sauce and it had the right amount of spice it was really good. I will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try the 99 cent Taco Thursday. Thank you, Paul Chaney
Love this place. Ate there all the time as a Tech student. Our daughter now goes to Tech and we always eat there.
Great place to chill and have a bite to eat and grab a beer. Environment is great and service was excellent. I recommend coming here to have a great time
One of our favorite spots for a Sunday afternoon !! Food is great !! ALWAYS!! Very reasonably priced .. and the staff are friendly and professional !! It’s a long time favorite … !!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mamaritas never disappoints! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is always welcoming, and the service is top-tier. I also want to give a special shout-out to Ashton, the new bus boy — he is genuinely one of the kindest and hardest-working people there. He makes sure you get what you need, always with a great attitude. Mamaritas give that dude a raise! Highly recommend this place.
Food has always been great everytime we go! Queso and hot sauce are so good! Service has not been an issue so far, we recommend giving them a try!
Wonderful atmosphere. Absolutely loved the fajita enchilada con queso. Highly recommended.
Good place to dine if you want mucho nachos. That's all I have ever ordered. My wife love the chicken strips. The crew that work there are respectful and nice.
Quick and easy choice for lunch. They have great options to choose from and at $6.99 you can’t beat that. A lot of locals hang out here and the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. I always get their lunch sour cream chicken enchiladas.
I enjoyed the good food! Due to this I impressed by taste and low prices, I have been here many time’s. No staff service, but the chashiet was very professional and very kind. The atmosphere was delightful. They made you feel at home. Noise was very limited Only one child was crying briefly.
Wife went to school here a while ago, with respect to her time frame here, I will not provide it. But awesomeness Viva Lubbock and TTU!! Quick fact: Mother Law Wife Niece Have graduate from this amazing university. Pretty’s sure one of sons will be here in a few years! Viva Lake Highlands Dallas, TX TECH GRADUATES
Such a classic place. I've been coming to this place for over 20 years. We moved to the DFW area about 10 years ago and we try to come by everytime we are in town. We, of course, had to get the nachos. And like usual... they were amazing. We ordered the regular beef and bean nachos and then the Mamas Mucho Nachos. And you can't help but hit the hot sauce bar with the 5 different levels of hotsauce. Mild, hot, snake bite, Holy Jalepeno, and sweet. This is a must-eat-place if you are in Lubbock by the mall area.
Normally delish.....kitchen was not there today. Cheese enchiladas were rubbery. Asked for a large order of snakebite hot sauce and got small.
Pleasant and love the sour cream enchiladas. ...if u want the shrimp tacos w no spice ask for no sauce on the shrimp and a different sauce like ranch....or u Get Spicy TACOS! for those of us with digestive issues. They will make it to order....and if you like it HOT ...ASK Andy what sounds good...he makes his own concoctions when he is there at night...except for Monday nights when he is usually off.
Nice little place with very good food... Servers can be a little pushy when told no.
Mamaritas queso is some of the best in town, next to Caprock. This is mainly what I go here for and it's always delicious. I like the tacos and smothered burrito here as well, but they're more basic. However, that's also what I like about them! Sometimes I just want simple, hot food Plus I've never had an order come out that was wrong or not hot. There's something to be said for that! The staff inside are always friendly and patient with order taking. Recent changes to the menu seem to be moving in the right direction to keep it new and the salsa bar is always appreciated. A downside that keeps us from eating in the restaurant (we always get to go) is the smoke smell. Even though it's partitioned off, during happy hour it's still pretty pervasive. Definitely will continue to get food from here!
Best place to eat tacos on Thursdays! Better than any other "Taco Tuesday"! It's worth the wait. A few other items on the menu that are delectable are the Fajitas and fatita nachos, and they do have the best carne guisada Burritos in Lubbock, TX. I would rate a 10, but the Mexican rice is best left off the plate. I'll post pics the next time I visit.
We came in because it was an hour wait for Cotton Patch! So glad we did...we ordered, got our food, ate and were out the door in less than an hour! The sour cream enchiladas were good but a little dry. They were packed with shredded breast meat though. You seated yourself and picked your food up at the counter but it was all good. Huge portions too! Their salsa bar is where it's at! The rest of our group was pleased with the flavor and amount of food in their orders too. Great atmosphere too!
We enjoyed the chips and queso. The food is good and margaritas are fantastic. Wish the quesadilla had more meat but other than that it was good
Friendly staff and decent food. Not terribly priced. It is good dont get me wrong but didn't quite hit the authentic flavor i was looking for. Ill give it another try when able. The nacho chalupa was my only disappointment: its just a tostada with jalapenos and melted cheese on it. Oh there is one major highlight worth going for regardless of what you get- that great sala bar!
I come here almost weekly. I love the food and the staff is normally very friendly... BUT I always feel hassled about the salsa. I have never been to a mexican restaurant where they make you feel guilty for wanting more salsa. Or just flat out refuse to give you more. But tonight being told that I could only have 2 little cups with chips and meals. Come on... If Mamarita's is so hard up for a profit, then I'll pay for more. Not a problem. Dont get me wrong, I love this place. And most likely will keep coming for a long time.
Food was good, especially the salsa and queso, but the brisket ( on the brisket nachos) was very fatty. Rice and beans were better than expected. The only real issue was that smoke from the bar spills into the restaurant.
The food is ok not expensive at all but a couple of things that were bothersome. We were there almost an hour not one table was cleaned during that time many nasty tables with food sitting on them from probably lunch we got there almost 5. Also I asked the cashier about the specials and she hadn't a clue. Really she needs to know the menu. I wouldn't go back honestly
They have good food sometimes but recently been getting my order wrong and the a few times now I just waited in the drive Thur for 10+ mins just to be ignored by the staff. It's a big let down but if you eat inside it should be good just don't get carry out!!!!!
The food is pretty good. Glad it wasn't too crowded, because they don't enforce wearing masks inside. Even their staff, if the mask is even on a part of their face (not just around their chin), doesn't cover their nose. In the bar area, not one person was wearing a mask. Still have communal salsa areas...the customer serves themselves. Wish they would follow regulations better to protect the citizens of lubbock.
I used to come to this place years ago on a pretty regular basis. They had good food with a lot of selections. When I came here a few days ago, the menu has changed quite a bit and not near as many options. The girl at the front counter seemed like it was a chore to take my order and scoffed when I didn't leave a tip, even though this order was a to go order. The nachos tasted fine like always, but the other two things above kind of sadden me as I first started coming here over 20 years ago.
Pros: low prices, friendly staff, entrees are decent; Cons: smelled like cigarettes in the restaurant and my beans tasted like cigarettes, rice was not good, chips were bland.
First, let’s start with the food the food usually at the restaurant Mamarita’s is pretty good. However, I went there yesterday. I had to send the burrito back three times because of the fact that one the first time it was cold, the second time had beans, finally the third time was right. I had ordered a beef and cheese burrito no beans. Then when it finally came up right I told the cashier Karen I said thank you and she totally disrespected me. She turned her back and walked away. Customer service they do not have. I do not appreciate being disrespected anywhere. I will go to a different location to eat, however, even the cook gave me a dirty look. And let’s be realistic. This was his fault and her fault not mine. I was very explicit on what I wanted and she overcharged me by the way just so you know folks so be very careful there. This is the one on slide. Her name was Karen. I don’t know the name of the cook because he was awful. Just be careful of this if you want. Good food try different location. I do not recommend them. Not this location
Pretty disappointed with my experience and meal. The food, although a good price and visually appealing, was really bland and some ingredients were on their way out or stale. The basket of chips we had were two types mixed together, half stale old chips and half thin chips. The queso was disappointing and gloopy. My street taco was good, but my chicken taco was flavorless and bland. Other reviews have mentioned as well but they do allow smoking on one side of the restaurant, we were able to get seats as far away from that area as possible but still left feeling smoky smelling and with irritated lungs. Won't be returning.
The food was just ok. The chips and queso are good. Smoking is allowed in the bar area and it's doors are closed to the main restaurant but you can still smell the smoke. We are in the patio because of it. We probably won't be back.
Walk-up order, fast casual Tex-Mex. They have a smoking-allowed area which unfortunately flows quite a bit into the rest of the non-smoking areas. Felt back in the '90s. Food is relatively inexpensive but you do get what you pay for. Friendly service though, and fast.
Been enjoying brisket nachos for years. Last night my to go order had oil flowing across the bottom, the wife's order had an odd taste that she could not eat.
Chips and queso were good that’s why it’s not 1 star. Monday night. About 12 people in the entire restaurant. Over an hour to get 2 entrees and a kids meal. When politely asked about our order, girl at front counter said it wasn’t her problem and the kitchen was to blame. Offered extra chips. 3 other orders came out and gone before our food was delivered luke warm. Rice was inedible. Girl at counter began to cry for no reason seemingly overwhelmed even though there was no patrons to get overwhelmed with. We were never rude or upset just had to check on our order multiple times. Incredibly poor and unprofessional customer service. If this keeps up there will be no Mamaritas locations in Lubbock. Won’t return.
First and last time here. Food was fairly bland. Girl at the counter was very kind and helpful. Seems like a cute place for a young person to get some frozen margaritas.
Pretty bad, do not recommend with all the good Mexican food options around Lubbock. The food was disappointing. Chips were stale, taco shells were stale, the tacos were worse than you'd find at Taco Bell. Just all around pretty poor. Service was fine, other than there was only 1 person taking orders with a pretty significant line. Atmosphere, oh boy. The place is so dingy and dark inside, it felt like a good place to be stabbed. The worst part is they allow smoking. It's 2023, and a restaurant, not a bar. There is a door between the smoking and non-smoking areas, but smoke does not respect doors so the whole restaurant smells and looks like a really sketchy, run down bar. There are far better options around, and if you really want the true experience of Mamarita's, just get some Taco Bell tacos and add cigarettes. You're pretty close.
Went through drive-thru. While waiting I watched an employee chunk a bag of trash towards a wall. Completely missed the trash can and kept walking. Left all the trash over parking lot. When I got to drive up window the staff were talking and could care less that a customer was at the window. Same employee who chunked the trash came in without washing hands and began touching food. I was disgusted. The young women who eventually came to the window was very nice. I did not eat my food for fear that it had been touched by that employee.
Heard great things about Mamarita’s queso and decided to give them a try. The queso IS REALLY GOOD. Unfortunately that’s all that was good about this place. We had two enchilada plates and a taco salad. All the rest of the food was subpar. They got the wrong enchilada sauce on one of the plates, the rice wasn’t cooked all the way, and the desert was not edible. We ordered to-go and when we got home, our queso wasn’t in the bag. Went back and reported the missing queso. The waitress who took our order was very apologetic and that offered to give us a second queso for free. A second waitress chimed in and said, “I don’t wanna do that.”We got the queso we paid for but all the rest of the food was cold by the time we got home. Atmosphere is fine albeit a little greasy and smokey. Overall the only reason to stop in is for a to-go queso and chips. Just make sure your food is in the bag before you leave.
The Manager here is terrible. Tried to tell me I was wrong and they don’t have a rewards system and she tells them what to put in. I showed her the text where it said to redeem the rewards and she argued and belittled us. Below is what I showed her and she argued that it was for another business. They use the same texted service Twny. Very rude and unprofessional. The cashier was very helpful and understanding.
Street tacos tasted great, salsa was unfavorable taste was blan and nothing special. Ordered top shelf margarita 🍹 and it was watered-down with too much ice and too much sweet and sour... pretty sure both shots poured were 1/2 shots or 3 second pours. If the bartender counted out 5 seconds during pour then she was probably a cheater when counting as a child in hide and seek.. you know.. one.tw.th.fr.five..ready or not here's your skinny marg. Anyways I won't go back, negatives out weigh the decent over priced tacos.
The manager well, she was acting like the manager was SO disrespectful. My friends graduated from Tech and all of their friends/family came out of town only to experience very unprofessional treatment. They received cold food, like the rice was crunchy cold and was given attitude for requesting fresh rice. My other friend was WITH her parents and asked for a marg bc she JUST GRADUATED, they said no but her mom let her drink hers and they came, took it and threw it away?? We were all shocked at what happened and the same woman comes and kicks us out. Our friends mom, who’s a business owner had to go speak with them. It shouldn’t have to take someone else to come tell you you’re treating a customer wrong to come and apologize. I do not recommend this place.
Way off the mark, rice and beans are completely inedible and the rest of the food tasted like it was microwaved leftovers of a TV dinner. Dry, bland, tough meat. Flavorless guacamole and all the salsas are mild. Staff was friendly though.
The manager refused service to me and my wife because I had my Trained Psychiatric Service Animal with me. This is a Violation of State and Federal Law. Per Texas law - Food Establishments (Texas Health and Safety Code, Section 437.023) If a service animal is accompanied by a person whose disability is not readily apparent, for purposes of admittance to a food service establishment, retail food store, or physical space occupied by another entity, a staff member of the establishment, store, or entity may only inquire about: whether the service animal is required because the person has a disability; and what type of work the service animal is trained to perform. Patricia did not ask either of those 2 questions, but rather demanded I present a “Service animal ID card” which is not actually valid or legal in any 50 states since there is no official national service dog registry. Per FEDERAL LAW ADA Guidelines An establishment may ask: Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? An establishment IS NOT allowed to: 1.Request any documentation that the dog is registered, licensed, or certified as a service animal 2.Require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person’s disability That being said, I offered to show a letter from my mental health professional recommending my use of a service animal which the manager Patricia refused to see. The behavior and actions of the manager are inexcusable and highly illegal.
I ordered the smoked brisket nachos to go. Extremely disappointment. Cooks in the back grabbing lettuce and cooking food without gloves. Paid $10 for berry small portion and chips were stale. Do not recommend and will not be coming back. Wish I could add a picture of the mediocre nachos I got.
Called in an order for puck up. We were told to pick up theough the drive thru. Ordered chicken fajita grande nachos and 2 large cokes. When the girl working fonally came to the window she told us our total was $32. Because the picture of the menu online was blurry it was difficult to see the price but we knew it wasn't that much. We paid and asked what was in the order, thinking maybe we were paying for someone else's. Instead of just telling us, the rude girl just said "I'll print out the receipt for you". When wr looked at the reciept she had charged us for 2 of the nachos unstead of one. Didnt say anything because we figured wed wat it later. Sje gave us the order and we had to ask for our drinks. We ordered large coles bit they looked medium. By that time i was so sick of her attitude that i didnt say anything. When we got gone, i realized my nachos jad ni cheese. Vary small pieces of chicken in bith orders and stale chips. I recommended to go there for dinner because we arent over there very often and the nachos USED to be amazing. When i called to let the manager know, the only thing he could offer was for us to drive all the way back into town for them to remake it. The whole point in calling it in and goung gome was so we wouldnt have to get out of the house again! We will never go there again. Ots not worth the time or money. $32 dien the drain for something my child could make better.
The smell in this place is bad. The food is worse. What you can see from the kitchen window tells me all I need to know about the food preparation and why it tastes bad. Updated 2023. Food is till bad. Smell still there. I had to go with a group as this is where they wanted to try. Meat in the taco was old tasting...freezer burn taste. No seasoning. Aviod
Bad on so many levels. We waited forever for take-out, which wouldn't be an issue, but the food was cold! The only thing that was strangely hot was the refried beans, and they looked like they had been sitting in the sun for days. 3 people, 3 meals, chips and sauce, and not one of us ate our meals. There was a legit concern for food safety procedures. We watched an employee vaping in the kitchen, which really should've been our cue to ask for our money back and leave, but that's another story. Sad, this place used to be so good.
This rating is mainly for the process we went through more than the food. I placed an order over the phone to pick up through the drive-thru. When I got to the drive thru line, there were two cars in front of us, nobody even answered at the menu speaker, and when we made it to the window (15 minutes or so after pulling up) they told us their system was down so they were unable to take our order. We told them we placed an order over the phone. They told us they haven't been able to take phone orders because of the system being down. Also not sure why it took so long to get the other two cars in front of us out of the way if they weren't able to take orders. Anyway, we drove off, called them back to see if we could talk to the same person who took our order over the phone...he answered, we asked why we couldn't get our food, he said the order never went through (???) then said he could take our order again....I'm not usually one to get hangry, but Mamaritas at least accomplished that for me. I've eaten here before though and their food is pretty good for the price.
Went through the drive thru today to order a brisket Burrito conqueso or how ever u spell it I got charged for that exactly item and when I pulled away I checked to make sure and it was just a regular burrito conqueso so I went inside to see if they could re make it or at least give me some brisket to put it inside the burrito and the lady told me that I asked for a regular burrito conqueso even though she charged me for a brisket burrito conqueso even my boyfriend who was sitting right beside me heard me say brisket burrito conqueso the lady also had an attitude with me will probably never come here again unless things change to be honest
Worst experience I've had there ever. Fajita nachos had 6 very very small pieces of meat. Same w my mother's pork nachos. 2 weeks prior I sat at the drive through window and 2 guys sat there and ignored me while they talked for 10 minutes. I'm never going back and I used to go all the time.
Awkward. My best friend and I went in for dinner one night (first time being there for both of us) we were totally ignored by all staff. We were stared at (we are cute but come on) but never waited on or approached. We stayed for awhile....just to make sure this was real life....left with not a word and still hungry. Went across the street to On The Border and spent lots of money and had a blast! 🤷
Went for nachos based on other reviews I had seen , regarding the best nachos in Lubbock. I ordered the chicken fajita nachos with extra chicken, which was an up charge. This was for a pick up order . I noticed when I picked up the order the bag was extremely light. I got home and open the box , the nachos were primarily iceberg lettuce with a little tomatoes. There is virtually no nacho cheese at all, and for the chicken , there couldn’t have been more than 2 ounces of chicken . Literally the most bland nachos I’ve ever had , was extremely disappointed, especially after paying $15.
worst place to get any good customer service I was heavily disrespected and yelled at by their own management, for just getting a drink i didn't even say a word to them place is very unprofessional, and rude, I do not recommend at all it's ridiculous and pathetic how they treat customers for no reason at all.
Our experience was... Not what we expected. First: the food... I wish I stood up and took it back... I was just ssooo hungry and dealing with my son made me even more Shakey my Life Partner allowed me to go in and get my food without them... So I get my food and literally start scarfing it down 👇. Noticing it was barely not cold. Definitely not hot or even room temperature. I ate it anyway... My Life Partner got the nachos... The pulled pork nachos... Little did we know... It was a mistake; it is now the next day and he has been up since 4:15 am on the toilet... Might even miss work. >:(. My son's food was mediocre. They made my LP's food and my sons fries and had it sit while the corn dog was being made which made the nachos cold and my sons fries marinated in its own grease which was gross... His cheese wasn't even melted, last thing STALE BAG OF CHIPS... Service: 🤦♀️ I KNOW that girl had a (ugh why you come in) attitude I wish I knew her name! I WAITED in the front cuz I was starving! I saw my food get ready and SIT in a "heated" window for over 5 minutes! No wonder my food was cold. 🤦♀️ My son went to get ketchup TWICE and both times no one acknowledged him... Atmosphere: it was VERY dirty took ages to find a table. This old guy buser? Maybe watching TV. All them dirty tables and he's watching TV. Everything looked as though it was not well kept... We will definitely not be going again. And I hope others read this comment and take their business elsewhere. v.v
Food was mediocre but acceptable. Nothing wrong with. It just wasn't as good as one would guess by the price. Bar area was very popular, and they were having a great time there. Dining area was as blah as the guy taking our order. The only excitement we saw out of him was the Glee with which he told us that we could sit together as a family at the same table. I'm sorry I have children. To get around his power trip, we sat the six of us around a table built for four to make our way through our meal. Salsa was pretty good. Chips were over salted but crisp. Most places have free chip refills but not here. Not worth the gamble to go here. We took a chance, because the On The Border across the street had too long of a wait. On The Border is not much better to be honest, but at least they are friendly and don't look like I peed in their corn flakes when I want to have my own children sit with me.
Food was ok but the service was very very unwelcoming. I would NEVER go back!
If I could vote 0 I would. I originally wanted to go to another restaurant, but it was closed. So I saw this one across the street and thought to give it a try. When we walked in wasn’t welcomed. Instead we had to approach them for service. So basically, you order your food and they call you when it’s ready. The food wasn’t what I would expect. The presentation just wasn’t there and flavorless. The atmosphere was vintage. Maybe, I came at the wrong time. However, I am not willing to give it a second try!
I will never come here again food came out late and was cold before hitting the table wasn't good at all and while waiting my boyfriend and his mom seen a mouse will never step food in this place again it was disappointing
Food was terrible....and when I complained about how food was cold, tasted sour, rice was hard, charro beans were chili beans, etc the waitress was kind of rude. Spoke with the manager and she ended up not charging for the food but she was not very pleasant about it either. Definitely do not recommend unless they get it together in the future but for me I will not ever be returning.
Some things never change! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve eaten here, and they still don’t take orders at the drive-thru window (the exact reason I stopped coming before). Honestly, just board up the window and tear down the outdoor menu. I’m sure the food would have been great… if I’d actually gotten any.
I came here for the first and last time today. I ordered online, the menu made no mention of lettuce, tomato, or sour cream on the nachos I ordered. While waiting for my order I noticed all the food was coming out of the window with sour cream. I let the young lady that was helping me know, and that I was not interested in having that. “They will just take it to the back and scrape it off, they won’t remake it.” is the only help she offered. Then I find out that I paid $7 for this small Queso, that doesn’t come with the chips to eat it. Upset I used the link to email the restaurant only to get an “address not found” response.
