Had the best chicken sandwich of my life here!
An excellent meal just the right size
Spruzzo rocks! I've eaten all over the world, yet I always am happy to be back home at Spruzzo's with their most excellent foods and selection of entrees. Zoe, Jose, Markus, and Saul exemplify exceptional service where they've mastered the delicate balance of being attentive without hovering over one's table. (I used to wait tables and it's an art form.) Phenomenal food and sensational service are complimented by gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. It doesn't get any better.
We've been patronizing this restaurant for over 14 years. We started picking up salmon dinners for take-out over the past 3 - 4 years and they always hit the spot! Because of a dietary restriction, I recently ordered mine with no added salt and the chef cooked up some of the most deliciously seasoned vegetables I've ever had to compliment my salmon and mashed potatoes. They also serve great steaks and pizzas. So much good food with great portion sizes!
I've been here three times now and all three times sat with a pretty large group of friends on the patio. Everything I've eaten here was delicious. We all loved our food. Service is always great and staff is always friendly.
This place absolutely deserves the spotlight. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, you can choose where to sit, clean, and clearly run by people who care about the experience as much as the food. And the pizza: The crust was that ideal balance, crispy on the outside, airy and chewy inside. The sauce had depth, not just tomato paste but a rich. And the toppings was fresh and generous. I tried the BBQ chicken and it was really good. You can upgrade the size for few bucks more, which I strongly recommend it. Smaller size is okay for 2 people to not be hungry, but not enough get really full. I recommend sitting inside as the chair is nicer and less street noise, but the balcon can be okay if you are okay with the street noise. Also staff and view was nice, overall great choice in the area, if you are visiting the are or beach it definitely worth the few minutes drive to get here.
Came there for drinks and lunch. Overall the place is pretty good. They give you Focaccia bread with olive oil and balsamic at your table before the meal. Inside atmosphere is nice and clean. I got the mojito which was really good. Linguine with clams was good but could have used some butter or maybe some cheese. Mozzarella sticks and marinara was also good. $18 is a little much for an appetizer 😅 BUT, I didn't mind the price so much because the food was delicious. My only gripe would be the outside patio. It's a really nice setup but it's kind of close to the road so there's lots of cars driving by. Not super viby when there's exhaust in your face. I'm sure it's much nicer at night when you can't see the traffic so much. 🤷 Overall the place was nice. I would go again.
This is a nice spot on the second floor of a shopping center with plenty of parking. One thing I gotta say is the the staff is really friendly and professional here. We ate outside and they brought us a heater lamps since it was getting cold out. The complimentary bread was the perfect appetizer before the we ordered our entrees. Excellent cappuccinos! The angus steak with veggies and potato’s were made to perfection! Spent around $80 for 2 entrees and 2 cappuccinos.
Located just outside of point dume on second story if shopping center. Decent parking spaces available. Elevator for those who need one. Stopped on way to LA for a quick bite and it was really good. We had a margherita pizza, lobster ravioli & kids spaghetti and meatballs. Be careful not to get full with the complimentary bread, it's really good. The sauce with the lobster ravioli is absolutely delicious and the pizza dough was really fresh crispy exterior and soft on the inside. Excellent white sauce pizza. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. Outdoor patio is awesome too. Two thumbs up
Sat outside on the deck with a beautiful view. Dog friendly. Saw a famous fashion designer, but left her alone so she can eat. Lol. It wasn't easy to do as I'm a huge fan. The food, service and drinks were all excellent with large portions. Very fair price for the area. This is now a must stop for me while in LA.
Great place. The food is consistently good, service is great, ambiance is always nice. You can be super casual, or a little dressy and feel comfortable. It’s on the second level, across from Zuma, so it can get a little chilly or sunny but there plenty of umbrellas and heating lamps, and even a large fire pit in the center of the patio. Not the best place for a view of the ocean, but you can definitely see the water if you’re sitting outside and you won’t be disappointed.
This place is located on the second floor of the shopping center! Great place to stop by for a drink and quick bite to eat. We started off with the Bruschetta (which was bomb!) Then we ordered the Italian spritz (okay, a bit bitter on the grapefruit side), then the two pasta dishes which were decent. In my opinion both dishes could use a spicy kick but they were good... nothing a little red pepper flakes can't fix.
By Zuma beach, not as popular as other beaches in Malibu that’s why we could find parking (it was impossible to get parking at the original place we wanted to go to). Nice outdoor sittings. Servers were friendly. Pretty old establishment. Cloth napkins, plates are past their lifetime. Among the foods that we ordered, only the skirt steak was good, well marinated (it was over cooked the first time it came out although we ordered medium rare. They were happy to replace for us). The shrimp ceviche was bland, missing the lime juice, missing salt, etc. The fish taco was just so so.
Nice place with good ceviche, but specials were awful(first time I’ve ever salted anything at a restaurant; very bland), and pizza is meh(doughy not crispy). Server didn’t fill water once(yes we asked, and it wasn’t that busy). Other reviews mislead me so here is my contribution.
Stopped by here for some afternoon drinks and a light snack. TLDR: Good location as parking is super easy (non peak hours) and if you want to grab ONLY some drinks i'd recommend it! if you want food - go anywhere else! Good spacious area - both indoor and outdoor! The outdoor has a partial view (one side are the hills, and the other blocked by some dense forrest). Drinks were fine for standard wines, cocktails, beers. The wait staff all just seemed stressed and unhappy to be there! All but one waiter and the hostess seemed to be genuinely friendly but others just couldn't wait for their days to end! Food - we did end up getting a salad and a pizza.. overall i'd pass on the food! To be honest, it's pretty hard to screw up a salad and pizza - the salad (Meditereanean) was soggy and just so-so; but the worst was the Pizza (Four Season) - absolutely no flavor, dry! You could buy some dough from Trader Joe's and make it half decent but dreadful how bad it was. Reminded me of the elemetary obligatory preset weekly menus - friday pizza!
This place is cute, located upstairs near the beach. They have outdoor seating which inspired me to get a meal while I got some work done. The server was attentive and cordial. My only qualm about this place is that I got sick later in the night from the seafood linguine. I thought it tasted a bit fishier than it should, so I'm not sure how fresh the ingredients were.
Not impressed. Traveling through and wanted a casual decent meal near the beach. Service was terrible. People standing around yet could hardly get anyone to take our order or notice we were done. Food was not good. Tuna was overcooked and had some type of balsamic drizzle that just didn't work. My wife had a chopped salad absolutely swimming in dressing. Seems like it could be a great spot with a nice patio view. But service and food will limit their potential.
Spruzzo has a prime Malibu location and a nice outdoor space, but that’s where the compliments end. Inside, it feels more like a diner—minus the charm, plus the prices. We started with the grilled artichoke, which, as an artichoke lover, I can confidently say was the worst I’ve ever had. It wasn’t actually grilled—just boiled, then briefly introduced to the grill for some decorative char marks. As if that wasn’t bad enough, it was drowned in balsamic vinegar, completely wiping out any actual artichoke flavor. A tragedy on a plate. Then came the skirt steak with beans and carrots—because nothing says “Italian coastal cuisine” like a hospital meal. And the lobster ravioli? A true paradox: somehow both boiling hot and undercooked, with raw flour inside like a failed science experiment. It was also utterly flavorless—if there was lobster in there, it must have made a run for it. This place could be incredible with a new chef and an interior designer, but for now, we’ll be eating elsewhere.
