Succulent Japanese platter and delicious lamb cutlets and wagyu beef. Excellent ambience and service. The creme brûlée is exquisite.

I ate here on a Sunday evening, I had reservations, but the place wasn't too busy. I like the room layout and decor, it has an airy contemporary feel but retains it's intimacy. Music wasn't too loud, and added to the mood. The staff were friendly and servers very polite and exceptionally helpful. Never once did I have to ask for a refill of water. The food came in small plates, each was delicious, quite unlike anything I had tried before. We would definitely go back and try other plate combinations. There were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu too.

A very posh restaurant, service is the best thing I would say about this restaurant, all waiter and waitress are very attentive, friendly, welcoming and polite. We had the 6 course tasting menu, food is delicious , I only didn’t like the sauce of a few dishes , the sauces were very sour in my opinion, if without the sauce the food would be perfect. I was a bit disappointed about myself didn’t dress up to this restaurant, as it appears to be very posh and almost all customers were elegantly dressed though the restaurant didn’t impose any dress code. I would say it is a very good dining experience.

This was the best meal I think I’ve ever had in Manchester! Every single dish was 10/10, packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. I can’t believe I’ve never been here before!

Came for my friends graduation meal, and we all agreed it was a meal that we would not forget! Probably the best food I’ve had in Manchester. Was a bit apprehensive this would be a place just for influencers or Instagram but the evening was amazing. Quality drinks, food, service. Really lovely host, and Pasquale looked after us really well. Would especially recommend the seafood risotto, snow crab signature dish, and lamb cutlets. Great experience

If you are ill , you go see a doctor. If your car breaks down , a garage . If you want to experience a nightclub in your mouth , more specifically The Hacienda , want to experience sensory overload , want to dissappear into somewhere " interesting in your mind " you go to Peter Street Kitchen , the Hacienda , that's the 80 90s mancunian nightclub btw and not the middle class marks and sparks definition of the word . The place has an air of "something other " going on . They want you to experience the place , you aren't here just for the food. From the gentle waves of incense scent floating through the air relaxing your mind The D.j playing trance tunes making me reminisce of my times as a teenager in the early nighties in Manchester - now in my 50s sat here with a wife and two adult kids , biggest buzz of them all , wink . We haven't even got to the main event , the rush hasn't come in yet . Right let's talk food enough of these Happy Mondays vibes, look em up kids and you thought you were cool ! Made to feel welcome and like I said the incense stick burning seemed to act as a decompression chamber as you walk in off the busy Friday night Manucnian Street. The bar area is very tastefully done , loved the oriental cushions on shelves in the air . This is not an intimate restaurant, like I said it's a full on sensory experience. You touch , taste , smell , see and hear . It's an inner and an outer journey. The outer the ambience, the inner the food . Emily handled us expertly and with a friendly manner We dropped our first edamame drizzled with lime and chilli , a great palate cleanser , the journey begins. From that point onwards , dish after dish we were blown away . Everything was expertly cooked and tasted fantastic. No two dishes were the same . The dishes were presented with a brief explanation and what I really liked was that they were served in a specific order , just like the trance music building to a crescendo so did the food , the lamb cutlets hitting the peak . Then the gentle come down . The chocolate bento box and the passion fruit creme brulee acting as soft ground for us to land back on. The prices are on the high side but this is a celebratory place . A place you go to remember and make a memory . Bravo .

It was a really nice experience, there’s a bar where you can sit while waiting for your table availability. The environment low light and good music atmosphere is perfect for couples on a date. Staffs were super friendly and professional. I love it all.

We have a birthday dinner here. We ordered the omakase which has 6 courses! I personally love their starter especially the salmon tartare and beef thing. And the staff are really friendly and attentive. Their service definitely worth more than 5 stars. Everything is great except the baby chicken and the cod fish is a bit salty for me.

Great experience here at the restaurant!! We had an amazing service from Salvatore and Matteo, always understanding our needs and taste for drinks. Will recommend 100% and we will be back for sure

Every course in our taster menu absolutely knocked our socks off! Everyone in our wedding party experienced and tasted something different, whether it was the wasabi, wine or whiskey. Not forgetting the orange sorbet with black sesame cheesecake. The atmosphere on a very special August 6 was unforgettable and we were so well looked after, from Amy's logistical help to Domenico, Fineas, Faisal and Rob's friendly faces and expertise on the evening itself. An absolute must visit for the flavour-filled experience and drinks on offer. Can't say a big enough thank you - see you all again soon!!!

Very exciting menu. Top class venue, service. Sommelier on hand, plenty of staff. Tapas dishes came out quickly and were cleared. We mixed Japanese and Mexican dishes. Even had cider!! Tables busy. Habenero sauce too hot for us!

My partner and I came to Manchester for the night to celebrate our anniversary and had an amazing time dining here! We managed to have a drink at the bar before our reservation and the bartenders were very friendly, they made our drinks really quickly too! When it was time for our food we were served by the lovely Antonios who made us feel relaxed and welcome from the get-go and checked in on us throughout the night. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and even got us a dessert plate to share for our anniversary. I think he really made the experience perfect for us! We're both vegan and struggle to find nice places to go to for celebrations but we were spoilt for choice here, we had a great selection of small plates to share and were blown away with each one. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant to all our friends and family when they find themselves in Manchester :)

As our first time attending PSK we could not have asked for more! We attended on 14/01 and our server was amazing! He was attentive and friendly and made us feel so at ease with his recommendations. The food was to die for!! Absolutely somewhere to visit and take advantage of the January 30% savings deal!

A fantastic experience! Came here as part of a graduation meal and we had a bespoke menu. Everything was delicious, the drinks were great, the interior and decor were lovely and the service was superb. And then to have live music, albeit a touch too loud at times, was also a lovely touch. Highly recommend coming here for a great meal.

Went for a birthday celebration and it lived up to the high expectations we had. The service was really quick and the staff were lovely, helpful and very attentive to all of our needs. The food was delicious, and so were the cocktails. We’d recommend the roasted aubergine and duck salad (the edamame were also great and moorish!). Had lots of lovely vegetarian options and a gluten free and vegan menu too. A lovely time and we would recommend and definitely visit again! 😊

Walking by we just wanted a nice dinner with a good vibe and atmosphere. Warmly greeted with a smile and ushered to our table but before then we looked at the time a daring menu with a fusion of Mexican and Japanese. Let’s give it a whirl. We are vegetarian and we ordered the vegan menu and had most of the starters which were nice. The mains we had were the soy chicken and empanadas which again were too small portion but nice (a little expensive ) Positives - great customer service by matt. He made the night very seamless and super helpful. - food was interesting and presented nicely - the overall service was very good Negatives - the music was good but too loud - the toilets are a little further away inside the hotel - would be good to have slightly bigger tables to allow for all the tapas dishes to be on the table

I had the Set Menu here during my stay at the Edwardian, the Staff were friendly and hard working. We was very well looked after. The Complimentary Cocktail was delicious. And the food was phenomenal, one of my starters was calamari and I’ve been to Greece and this was very close in terms of quality, I highly recommend anyone to pay a visit here and for the food you get it’s definitely worth the price you pay, and then some. - will I be back? Most certainly. 11/10

We went to Peter street kitchen for my partners birthday! When we first arrived we found the place quiet lively, the onsite DJ was great but the volume was a tad too high, but we must say we were very much impressed with the food, the menu and concept was intriguing; but hands down probably one of the best food we’ve ever eaten, the FOH associate (Nora) was very attentive and well informed, she made our visit more special with her knowledge with the and professionalism! We look forward to visiting again in the nearer future thank you for hosting such a great evening. Thank you

Really enjoyed it here - the food was fantastic. We opted for a Japanese set menu, and it was all really good. Service was quick, staff were friendly, and we also liked the decor and the general vibes/music - what’s not to like.

I have eaten at this place at least yearly since it opened. It's probably the only restaurant in Manchester that I've been to and found to be consistently great. The food and service never disappoints here! Some might find the live DJ a bit loud, but it's never bothered me personally as it adds to the atmosphere

This is* my favourite restaurant, not just in Manchester but my favourite. The Japanese/Mexican fusion was the combination of my 2 favourite cuisines and the food was beautifully prepared and with incredible twists on traditional dishes, with the more traditional elements being the best-in-class of those foods. The Tortilla Chips for example were the best I've ever tasted, something as simple as the Tortilla Chips. The more decadent dishes share this sentiment, everything was perfect. I had been going to Peter Street Kitchen at least annually for the last 7-8 years, frequently multiple times a year. *It is with regret that I have to include this, but since changing to Japanese/French, I'm less interested in going. The menu looks more boring and Tapas stylings going makes this feel like it's lost it's unique experience. The meals themselves look nowhere near as unique as before and I honestly think this will result in the restaurant losing it's character. I hope the move is financially successful, but I'm certainly unhappy with this change.

Had a great time here, our waiter Francesco was great and designed the perfect meal for us. He was also super friendly and easy to chat to. Definitely made the evening very memorable. The food was great and the cheesecake was just... perfecto!

Popped in on Saturday evening for a couple of glasses of wine at the bar. The atmosphere, service, venue & wine were as perfect as always. Domenico & his team were professional, friendly, welcoming & very genuine in their service. The wine was beautiful, along with been very well priced. A great evening with great music, company & a wonderful experience as always.

It’s hard to not get too over excited but we had a family meal here last night celebrating 2 birthdays - 27th & 25th and we experienced some of the best food I’ve eaten in a while. The vibe in the place was perfect, nice subtle music in the background with a buzz in the restaurant. I wasn’t sure about Japanese and Mexican mix but wow it worked. Small plate dining but we were very food satisfied by the end - no one could eat anymore. The 9 course experience was exceptional and allowed you to try dishes you would never order but were first class. I have to call out a few - 1. calamari - oh wow - this is simple to cook but so many get it wrong, here it was amazing 2. The stone bass - incredible dish cooked superbly well 3. But the deserts came …. Caused arguments on our table as we couldn’t decided what was nicer the crème brûlée or cheesecake - sensational. The service was exceptional and we were looked after by Mira who was a buzz of positive energy and a great host. Our table connected with the sommiler who gave us the best Cloudy Bay I’ve had and the general manager was an amazing guy who ensured we were fully looked after all evening. An absolute first class experience - I could not recommend this place anymore.

⭐️ A Wonderful Evening at PSK What a lovely service again last night at PSK. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant management and staff demonstrated impeccable attention to detail, ensuring everything ran seamlessly and that every guest felt genuinely valued. James and Dominico were amazing once again — attentive, professional, and effortlessly warm. Their knowledge, timing, and care truly elevated the entire evening. It’s rare to encounter such consistent excellence in hospitality, but they deliver it every single time. For people who appreciate good food and service like myself — having experienced some of the best restaurants across the UK and around the world — PSK continues to stand out. The chefs at PSK truly know their art. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced in flavour. The food and service were amazing as always. PSK continues to set the standard for what a great dining experience should be — refined, welcoming, and unforgettable. Already looking forward to the next visit.

Outstanding food, some of the best I have had the pleasure of trying. A little more to be desired from front of house service.

We booked a table for four before seeing a show. The Mexican/ Japanese fusion intrigued me. Walking in I found it to be a very swish place indeed. Once seated napkins were folded out onto our laps, and an offering of £11 water. An explanation of the menu was then provided along with a suggestion of 3 or 4 dishes each. The menu contained some really tasty dishes from lobster tacos to wagyu. Me and my friend opted for the tasting menu which offered edamame beans, duck salad with pomegranate, truffle cabbage, seabass, baby chicken with miso butter, calamari, another creamy salad, white chocolate cheesecake and a mandarin cream brulee. This was set at £55 per person so we thought it worked out as better value. Another friend just ordered some other dishes separately, some of which were in our set.. While we waited our cocktails arrived which were pleasing to the eye and some were delicious. I had the palomino , my friends ichigo which tasted more of gingerbeer and another had a old fashioned. This is where things got a little confusing. Two plates of the beans arrived so we naturally thought it was one each. However, as time passed we realised you only get one plate of food with the "sharing tasting menu" so the beans had been my other friends. It's a good job we realised this sooner than later because we could have eaten her sea bass too! I think this should have been better explained. Also it didn't turn out better value as initially anticipated. I have to admit though every plate was presented beautifully and tasted delightful. I did find the amount of attendance was uncomfortable though like they were really trying to justify the 12% service charge. Our napkins constantly tweaked and water topped up after a few mouthfuls. Overall the food was delicious but yes expensive, especially with the service charge and water. Also another friend ordered the £80 seafood platter which did not look substantial. I also found certain elements could have been explained better. I might return in future as a treat to sample the wagyu.

Food was lovingly prepared and presented. But a little to heavy on the spice for me particularly the nachos. But well worth the visit the staff are really nice and attentive. My favourite dishes were the desserts beauty for the eyes.

It was our anniversary so we looked for a restaurant that would offer food that surprises our taste buds. The official photos of the food from this restaurant are very attractive and so are the descriptions and the general comments and so we went there with great expectations. The restaurant is actually much smaller than what you perceive in the wide angle photo and so the tables are indeed quite packed. It was a Friday evening. As the restaurant was very busy (a lady kept giggling at the top of her voice and coughing at the table at my back!) and the music quite loud, I didn’t feel too relaxed. Because one of us don’t eat fish, we didn’t go for omakase but instead tried most of the other dishes on the menu. The tacos were good and so were the signature dishes, but the other mains like baby chicken, risotto, ribeye steak and lamb cutlets were not impressive given the price. There was a sour taste that ran through many dishes, which was rather refreshing when I first tasted that from the yellowtail tuna, but a bit too much when it came up again in the avocado tarco and the risotto. The service was friendly but the overall experience was just short of a full 5 star.

J

Food was very good. Pricey, but good quality. The portion sizes were actually a lot better than expected, I was expecting to leave hungry as is with most fancy restaurants, but I was actually quite full. I had 3 small dishes to myself. The music at the restaurant was a bit weird for me and not relaxing, felt like I was in a club lol. But that's subjective!

L
L B

I would give this place 4.5 if I could. The service was impeccable from the moment we entered, staff were attentive, friendly and gave honest recommendations which was refreshing as opposed to upselling. The restaurant is modern and comfortable, my only issue is they could tone down the dj music a little it does get overwhelming and almost cheapens the vibe of a lovely restaurant. The food was excellent, I do wish the menu was more fusion rather than just a Mexican bit and Japanese section i think there’s room for some more creative and impressive dishes. The food was very tasty pit presentation could have been better for the price of the dishes it would have added an extra luxurious feel to it. The dessert was the best part and also the addition of a sake menu which was great. It is one of the pricier restaurants in town, I think it’s definitely worth a try, I don’t know if I’d hurry back but we had a very enjoyable evening and it’s great for a special occasion.

We went for the Omakase experience which is their six-course signature tasting menu. Their salmon tartare and beef tataki were exceptional. Their final four dishes, while tasty, they didn't quite hit the heights of their first two dishes. We also got a couple of cocktails and a carafe of wine - all totalling around £190. I think while on the high side, the price was what I expected of a restaurant with this type of lively atmosphere (it is within a 5 star hotel). The staff were really helpful and friendly (Mark who served us most the time deserves a special mention).

Beautiful setting inside the Edwardian Hotel. On arrival staff were very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. The food was good, we enjoy small plate sharing so the Japanese Mexican fusion is perfect for us. Very lively atmosphere, was a Friday night so the DJ was on, probably a bit too much like a Nightclub for us but I'm not complaining about that, it's Manchester and full of younger people and that's the vibe they want. All in all very nice place and would recommend. Thanks to the team for the anniversary dessert too...nice touch 🙏

The small dishes of food that we shared between 2 people were tasty, but heavy on the raw onion! The wagu A5 beef was also difficult to eat with tough ligaments that made chewing and swallowing a bit of a challenge to be honest. The drinks were slow to arrive and arrived after the food, which wasn't great, we ordered more drinks mid way through the meal and we'd just about finished the meal by the time they arrived. The server was friendly enough but didn't seem that familiar with the menu and looked confused when we order things on the menu. I did enjoy the decor, they have done the best they can with the space and I thought it looked pretty good, I liked the open flame and teapot and the raw wood accents.

Fantastic food and good service. Absolutely loved the Waguy. However, the DJ night club blasting theme was definitively not my cup of tea. Could not even hear what the waiter was saying, let alone properly communicate with my family while dining. Apart from the noise, best food I tasted in Manchester.

L

Good atmosphere. Like that there is a dj. Service was good. Food came out quick. Quite a few small plates to choose from. My favourite was the braised beef tacos. Decor is quite nice and the semi private area on the side looks really good. Definitely good for a date night A must visit if you are into Mexican Japanese cuisine. Lets not forget the top tier amaretto sour with the froth Highly recommended

Excellent food and lovely drinks selection. Really nice cocktails and sake. The set menu is great value with interesting flavours. Professional and attentive service. There’s definitely an atmosphere created there which was quite buzzy and sophisticated in beautiful surroundings but the music was obnoxiously and unnecessarily loud.

C
Carlos Castillo Pardo

Some dishes are very good, but too much wait for each dish ( very small) supposedly each dish is to share but each dish is uneven so is difficult to share. Music is not bad. Overpriced for this flavours (just personal opinion)

BAR REVIEW NOT RESTAURANT Me and my wife decided to stop here for a pre drink on Saturday, the welcoming from the team was nice and we was quickly sat at the bar. We were provided the menus and seeing they had Whiskey classes I opted for a Hibiki Suntory and my wife had a delightful cocktail i cannot remember the name im afraid, the cocktail had a great balance and was beautifully presented. Ill add this was a treat for me and my partner as we dont do it often. The barman asked how i liked my whiskey which i informed i enjoyed with one large block of ice so it dosnt water down too much but is served chilled, they proceeded to make my whiskey immediatly with 3 small cubes sat on the side melting while they made my wifes cocktail by which point when receiving the drink my whiskey was 1/5 water, I opted to remove what remainder of ice was inside. I didnt cause a fuss as my order was clearly understood and simply ignored which i found suprising to say the least as they offer whiskey masterclasses i would have thought there was more respect for the drink. We opted to have a 2nd drink elsewhere and wont return. In addition Unfortunatly behind the bar they were using Old Heinz mayonaise 5/10LTR buckets to mix or clean things which isnt a great sight from a customer facing bar area but nothing too devistating.

Overall experience was pretty average, had high expectations as it was Christmas dinner and £155 per person. The 5 course dinner was actually only three course, the stale bread and frozen sorbet I wouldn’t class as separate courses. Staff were great, very helpful and attentive. Love coming to the cocktail bar, and have been for the last few years, but Christmas dinner was disappointing. Lovely hotel, but this has put me off coming to the restaurant for future dining.

TL:DR - Both of the 2 stars belong to the kitchen. The food we had was nice. But overall a poor experience. This is not really the fault of the on the ground staff but I think management really need to look at their offering against what else is out there on the market. Long read: We came to Peter street kitchen for the omakase menu. At the time of booking they offered two - a standard omakase menu with wine pairing for £130PP or a premium omakase menu with pairing for £200PP. We had opted for the premium. Upon arrival we were told that this option was no longer available so we'd have to have the standard omakase or opt to go a la carte. This is annoying as we had a preference for some of the dishes on the premium menu but so be it. I feel this could have been communicated to us ahead of time rather than on arrival. Not the fault of the staff greeting us but started off with a disappointment. We were seated, though when we were shown to our table it was only made up for 5 and there were 6 of us on the reservation. We then opted to go for the standard omakase rather than a la carte. Our waitress was lovely and asked us if we'd like to have a cocktail before the food/wine started. We said yes. The waitress went away but by the time somebody came back to take our drinks order (it didn't feel particularly long) other staff had already brought our first course and wine pairing, feels like poor communication. We opted against the cocktail since it would disturb the flow of the wine. Lost revenue for the restaurant and a worse experience for us. Course two - our wine pairing was forgotten until we asked about it. We had to make an effort to reserve some of the dish to have with the wine when it arrived. From then on it was fairly uneventful but it did seem like the staff were very busy and people didn't have time to be attentive - at no point did anybody take any time to explain the dishes to us or the wine (beyond repeating the name of the dish back to us from the menu). The chap who delivered our wine didn't even tell us where the wine was from simply 'and here is your Chardonnay'. Again there is nothing wrong with this but it's hardly premium... Your website mentions your expert somelier - they should be giving the wait staff some tips/tasting notes on the wines they are serving as a bare minimum. Even better some explanation as to why they pair with each course! It was an okay wine selection though! 1 sake, 1 red, 3 white and 1 plum wine. Couldn't tell you much about it though! The wine measures seemed quite small but thats not always a bad thing. If you look at this offering and the price point it's a small-ish menu (6 dishes and not a single carb) there was nothing to really wow you it just doesn't feel like good value. Comparing it to the level of experience and service you get from somewhere like Sampa, restaurant Orme or even Six by Nico it just does not compare... So id just like to reiterate, the food was tasty. The staff were all polite and friendly, but at the price point it really is not worth doing their 'omakase - chef led tasting experience' - stick to a la carte as there really is no experience. If you want a good tasting menu there are plenty of places in Manchester doing equally good or better food but with an infinitely better experience for less money.

Last night, two of my friends and I travelled to Manchester from York for my friends leaving do/birthday celebration and we were so excited to visit Peter Street kitchen as we had heard really good reviews. Also, my friend had previously been twice before and spoke very highly of her experience there. I would say we were quite disappointed by our visit to this restaurant, and quite frankly it did not live up to our expectations. Upon arrival, we arrived promptly at 6pm for our booking, we were told that our table was not yet ready and to wait at the bar - which of course is absolutely fine, however we were waiting at the bar for about 20 minutes and other people were being seen to their tables who arrived after us. Secondly, the hostess did not offer to take our coats despite offering all other guests that entered the restaurant. My friend had to ask the hostess to take our costs which at that point she did. The gentleman that served us at the bar was lovely however and very attentive. When he finally sat down at our table the table was beautiful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. There was a pianist that played temporarily which was lovely when he did. Prior to our food arriving, we asked the waiter if he would mind taking a photo of us, to which he stated he would, but that he would be back shortly to do this. He didn’t arrive back until around 10 minutes later until after we had our first set of food plates delivered to the table. At this point, we had already began eating our food when he returned and we felt a little flustered as there were plates on the table and we were half way through eating. He very kindly removed the plates so the table would look clear for the photos, however these got cleared away afterwards (the side plates) which my friend still had some lobster on which she was a disappointed by. The food we ordered was delicious. However, personally, we knew the portion sizes were meant to be tapas-style, however we did feel that from what we have previously experienced they were exceptionally small, so just to advise anyone to manage their expectations with this. Later throughout the meal, we went to order our final drink. My two friends wanted to order a glass of the same wine, and the waiter asked if we wanted carafe. My friend queried if this would be more expensive, which was uncomfortable to watch as we felt he was trying to upsell us and convince us it would be “cheaper” which was not the case, as once we checked the menu we realised this would cost an additional £41 each. This would of course of been satisfactory and even helpful, if this was offered at the start of the night, however this was our final drink and we did feel he was trying to upsell and it did feel a little awkward, especially as for all the questions my friend was asking, he appeared reluctant to answer. In simple terms, he said this option would be “cheaper” for us, and it would have not been - I am glad my friend checked the menu. Throughout the night, I would have said the service was generally quite poor and the staff were generally inattentive, we had to flag the waiter down multiple times. Due to it being my friends birthday, we thought it would a nice idea to go up to the hostess and let her know of this celebration. My friend walked up to the hostess to ask directions to the toilet and to inform her of the birthday, to which the hostess snatched her iPad to her chest as if there was some government secret on there and that appeared generally unfriendly. Credit to her though, she did inform the waiter of the birthday and my friend did receive a little birthday sweet treat at the end. Towards the end of the night, the waiter asked us if we would like to look at the desert menu. We distinctly said “no thank you”, however he swiftly returned with the desert menu in a sad, final attempt to upsell. Again, uncomfortable. Overall, the experience was decent but it did not feel like a fine dining experience at all.

Left in a committed relationship with the nearest late night pizza place. This used to be an incredible Mexican Japanese fusion spot. Big flavors. Big portions. Zero regrets. Now it’s “French,” which apparently means tiny plates and dramatic descriptions. The Valentine’s menu was a love story where the food ghosted us. Every course looked like a garnish that escaped from a real entrée. By dessert, we were still hungry and emotionally confused. The dining room was packed, though with enough lip filler in the room to float a small yacht. Five stars for the memories. Two stars for the food. Drive-thru for dinner.

Food was good. But the service was atrocious and despite the food we left with a very bitter taste. Even after we’d made our issue known, they still added service charge which just showed to us they didn’t really care, and which we asked they remove. (For more info, we’d confirmed with the server the order the food would come in, in line with the menu structure. It came in a different order, which we raised, and the server just brushed aside the problem and said that’s how it works here and they send food “as it’s ready”. Sorry what? This isn’t a local takeaway, this is a fine dining restaurant. Food shouldn’t be sent in the wrong order just because it’s “ready first”, and a server should certainly never just say to guests that the kitchen “just sends food in whatever order it’s ready”. It’s up to the chefs and restaurant to serve food in the right order as per their menu… if it’s ready in the wrong order, that’s a restaurant mistake) They’ve also completely ruined an historic site, covering the old free trade hall sandstone with grey and beige. Tasteless. Understand it’s a Friday night so a DJ makes it “cool”, but the volume and style was way too much for an early fine dining dinner. Conversation was difficult. We saw other tables leave shortly after sitting down. I don’t know how tone deaf you have to be to persist with this. At least wait until 8pm or so to start the DJ A shame writing this review as the food and location are great, but ruined by poor service and management

Food was good but the service we experienced completely ruined our meal. Will not be going back and would not recommend as a result. Took 30 minutes from sitting down to get served some water and our drink orders taken. Food was good when it arrived and although the style is “arrives as and when” me and my friend had nearly eaten both our dishes by the time my other friends first dish has arrived to the table. No one came to check on the food and we had to repeatedly ask for the bill at the end of the meal. We dined on the January deal for 30% off which does not state anywhere on the website set times for dining unless you book direct on the website and when we paid the bill it was not added. We asked for it to be added and it was with a new bill printed however when we asked to remove the service charge after the poor service they came back and told us that we could not have the offer as we were dining too late. Clearly they did not like that we removed the service charge and decided we were not able to have to 30% off after having already given it to us. Overall it was a really poor experience and I won’t be going back or recommending it.
