Delicious and the staff is amazing! My husband and I will be back. Oysters are succulent and clean, the crab tower was so fresh and the fried platter my husband was huge and so fresh. Way to go!

First tume trying Fish City Grill. Wow, excellent! Grilled shrimp, beer battered halibut, catfish, fries and hush puppies. Halibut was my favorite, so damn good!

Went to this spot for lunch. Sorry no pictures. Appetizers we got the fried jalapeños which I highly recommend, 5 plus stars! We also got the calamari which I give a 4, hardly any on the plate. I ordered blackened catfish with fries. Seriously came out perfect and the fries were still hot. I dislike heat lamp fries. 5 stars! Or waiter was super attentive during rush hour. Easy 5 star for him. Rest of the group ordered catfish and fish tacos. Thumbs up from everyone. Street parking for us but I believe they have parking in back. I recommend this place because the food is good and the price is very reasonable. Casual clean atmosphere with a friendly attentive staff.

We have visited Fish City in multiple locations. This location is busy but the staff are very attentive. Wonderful dinner with friends. The weather cooperated with seating on the patio. Such a beautiful night. The seared scallops and grilled shrimp with risotto and butter blanc: AMAZING!!!! My wife had the Salmon and sautéed spinach (very tasty). The fish and chips are terrific too.

Great food. I had the shrimp and grits (maybe a tad too much butter), it was very tasty. My husband had stuffed grouper and had hush puppies for his side. Pretty good cocktails and service.

Came here for a little Fourth of July date night.. it was well Worth to try this place out. Torri, our waiter gave EXCELLENT service and even recommended the stuffed Floundwr which was delicious!!!! 😋 We will definitely come back.

We travel here from California to visit my sister. First time coming here. The I am always impressed with the service in Texas. They are so attentive to our table. I ordered the salmon that was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. The yellow sauce had a zest of lemon which gave the fish good flavor. Veggies were sautéed. This was one of their featured menu items that was written in chalk on the black board. To top it off they carried 1942 Tequila!!! We will be coming back. Thank you 🙏

I recently moved to Mansfield and just discovered Fish City. Someone on Next Door suggested them to another neighbor. I'm originally from Mississippi so I know good catfish and Fish City has GOOD catfish!!! I've been in the DFW for 5 years now and I rarely eat catfish here (unless my mama cooks it) because its usually Swai and I'm not a fan. The cod is delicious too! The seasonal veggies were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The spinach does need some salt or some kind of seasoning. It's not bad, just bland. I don't like adding salt to my food after it's been cooked so I will stick to the veggies. I will be bringing my mom and sisters to indulge very soon 👌🏾. Oh and the tartar sauce 😋

Wow. What a hidden gem. Everything was followed by sounds of satisfaction with each bite. Nice ambiance. Great service and great tasting food. The gumbo. The beans and rice. Just by themselves were a hit. The oyster nachos. The shrimp PO boy. The fish tacos all were enthusiastically endorsed. The bloody mary was pretty tasty as well. Definitely coming back . lots of options to explore.

We really love coming here for date night. We decided on FCG for our 29th anniversary this time around. Our server, Jordan (J), is fantastic. The food and drinks are always amazing. The specials are great and the favorites are favorites for a reason. Jordan, recommended the Rest Ashore drink and it did not disappoint! Thank you to the Fish City Grill staff for a terrific experience every time.

Best burger around… yes, it is a seafood focused restaurant. Still, burger is cooked to perfection with a toasty bun and all the fixins. I like to add bacon, cheese, avocado and some grilled jalapeños….amazing. Fries are well seasoned and have a great crispy exterior. Just get it! Gumbo is as good as any I have had in Cajun country. This place knows how to make a good roux, taken to the edge of smoke with that old penny coloration. A beautiful thing. Some of my favorite things: Makers Old Fashion - several great bartenders here all days of the week. The house salad - yes, sounds simple, but this is a unique treat. From the fresh greens to the candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles and white balsamic dressing. Oyster Nachos- the pico and the chipotle tarter make a unique blend and a great match. Peel n Eat shrimp - so fresh and clean Garlic Caper Salmon - you can just order a sample of the sauce and sip on it, wow…and yes I did Chargrilled Oysters - caution hot shell, cheesy and flavorful Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich- so good, and so spicy. I’m sweating at the thought. All of their Soups, Bisques and Chowders Anything blackened , mixed veggies added tops it off. Get a blackened pick two. Finally, Shrimp and Grits - heavenly gifts of brown sugar bacon, Andouille sausage and perfectly cooked grits. Well stocked bar and great local beer selection. You will feel right at home. 1/9 update: tried the Southwest Brunch Burger, photo attached. Bacon, mayo, lettuce, fried egg and a fried green tomato to round it off. Accompanied by the always perfect seasoned French fries. First their regular burger can’t be topped and this is not trying to dethrone that masterpiece. Everything is done right for this one, but would like more of a southwest seasoning kick. Very enjoyable. 1/18 update Again with the Old Fashions…my usual, but they make them perfect! Had Southwest BBQ Shrimp Tacos with Jalapeño Cheddar Rice. Delicious with the tangy bbq sauce and countering mango relish. Talented and creative recipes come through again. Picture added. I still like the Chipotle BBQ Shrimp Quesadillas best, but this is great as it is. 2/10 update: try the burger with cheese and bacon then have them do the patty blackened … wow! 9/10 update: Tried blu cheese on the burger, cooked medium, for lunch, took it to the next level. Love the chargrilled oysters for an app. 10/1: Wife, daughter and I had amazing grapefruit margaritas and also shared the delicious Lobster/Shrimp grilled cheese sandwich. 2/5/23…What a beautiful day to sit outside at Fish City in Mansfield! Matt killing it, as usual, making Old Fashioneds and Grapefruit Margaritas 12/11/23 update. New Old Fashioned recipe is very good. Shawn made it perfect. Looks amazing and tastes as good, or better. Asked Ramon what his favorite desert was, while he was helping the bar staff. Banana Pudding, he says. I said I love the bread pudding. He looked at me and said, “good reminder, some in the oven I need to check on.” Pulled it out just in time and gave me a free corner cut to take home. Beautiful desert! Thank you.

I eat there often! I love the specials and everything is made fresh to order and is always great!! This was our Valentine's day meal. Chocolate cake, shrimp n grits, scallops.....we cleaned the plates!!!

I dined in for Veterans Day. Fish City was busier than on a normal weekday but the staff were on top of their game. It appeared to me that everyone received excellent service. They have a nice selection on menu and fresh catch board to browse before deciding on your meal. I ordered oysters on the half shell for my appetizer and the shrimp & crab stuffed flounder for my entree. My server asked if I wanted and then dropped off an order of oyster nachos, on the house, because of a kitchen mix up. They had made two orders or something for a table that had only ordered one. I've never had the oyster nachos and OMG; I won't make that mistake again. The batter on the fried oysters was light and spiced perfectly. The chipotle tartar sauce with the pico de gallo topping set off a flavor fiesta. I could honestly see making a meal out of a couple orders of these. The oysters on the half shell were the Gulf Coast ones. They were fresh, clean, smooth and cool. Everything you expect from your oysters with absolutely nothing that detracts from an order on occasion. They were delicious. The shrimp and crab stuffed flounder was also tasty. It was a delicate fish, mildly flavored and seasoned. Cooked perfectly, it was a joy to eat. I think the French butter sauce that was drizzled across the top was what set it apart. I opted for the garlic, wilted spinach and the cheesy grits over the suggested sides. Both were portioned well and delicious.

Clean restaurant. Immediate warm greeting and we were seated fast. Everyone from the waitress to the manager made sure we had everything we needed and all our questions were answered. The food was great and the Bloody Mary was too!!

Really, really like this place. We've only been once (so far) but it was an awesome experience! Place was packed at 5:30 (always a good sign) but we still got a table in about 10 minutes. Staff is very friendly. The prices were more than reasonable. We got the sampler platter (queso was AMAZING), the fish and chips, and scallops with bacon wrapped shrimp. My wife is somewhat of a seafood buff and she said the scallops were the best she's ever had anywhere. I enjoyed the fish and chips. The breading was on point and the fish was flaky and flavorful without being too oily. They had seasonal drinks for Christmas time too. Just a really cool place. This is on our top 3 for date night in Arlington/Mansfield. I wish we had found this place sooner!

Delicious! We don’t have a lot of seafood options around here, so we were eager to try Fish City Grill. Our family tried the fish & chips, chargrilled oysters, Texas gulf redfish special, lobster & shrimp grilled cheese, and the smoked salmon crostinis. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The service was exceptional as well. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient as we had questions about the menu. Definitely a restaurant we will return to, and highly recommend.

The food was amazing. Oysters were fresh and tasty. The crawfish with the nitro sauce were great, but the veggies from the seafood boil wern't the best though.

Been a minute since I have gone out. I really picked the best place! Patio dining is the best. Our server Lilyanna has the friendliest attitude and even helped us with suggestions. Anyone who suggests the oyster nachos is a smart person and you should listen to them. Everything is excellent, I could write about every item! Don’t forget to ask for banana pudding! Lol This is a great lil hang out place.

We went during the dinner rush on a Friday night. It was packed we waited only 15 minutes to be seated. Had excellent food and cocktails. The server was attentive but not annoying. I had swordfish and it was amazing!

Great food, good service. Didn't love the fried pickles but the calamari and the fried artichoke appetizers are great. The bread pudding is fantastic. Our server brought us a "Welcome Wagon" sample of all their soups to try before we ordered.

First time here, I ordered the honey chipotle shrimp tacos with fries , extremely fresh and delicious. Service was fast and we had no complaints. We really loved the environment as well.

Wife and I shared the "Mexican" shrimp cocktail .... Amazing flavor. It's 3/4 eaten before I decided to take the picture. The bar also made her a custom drink to order and didn't charge her a crazy price. We will keep coming back.

UPDATE 02/18/22: I still feel the same as I did years ago when I left my 1st review. One of the few places that I can get barramundi. I love this location. They know me up in there😝. That says alot about their service and alot about why I keep coming back.

Good experience! We went during peak hours and the service was friendly, food was quick/fresh, and the overall atmosphere was great. I'd recommend giving this place a try for sure!

Our server was Payton. She did such a good job of helping suggest items to try for our first time here; she even brought us a welcome wheel for our first time with some samples of the soups they offer. Had the blackened salmon and the jalapeño soup. Great atmosphere and great food. Their craft beer selection is pretty good as well. This may be my new favorite place.

Great🍦oysters! did not care for the “salmon tartar” since it should have been minced and smooth enough to spread on a piece of bread instead it was more of a salad, the grilled fish was wonderful, kudos to the bartender. Fish City Grill is one of our go to restaurants in Mansfield. They are famous for their oyster nachos which are must try. Their Shrimp and Grits are the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the combo - shrimp and catfish with extra hush puppies. Torri was our server and provided us with impeccable service. He is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Always enjoy Fish City Grill. Excellent service & food. From meeting in the back room to celebrating big days (like Fat Tuesday today), it's always a great time. It is a great asset in Mansfield!

I went here for the first time yesterday. I had a great time. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. They have a great selection of meals available. I had their grilled shrimp with fries and coleslaw, and it was very delicious. If you are in the area, pay them a visit. You won’t regret it.

I wish I could give more stars… our truck broke down on the way to NC and we were just down the street getting it fixed. We called to make sure they would take dogs on their patio, and they did! It was refreshing to get out of being stuck for a little bit. The welcomed us with open arms. Now, we come from costal towns so we know seafood. The welcome platter they offered was an amazing additive to what we had already planned on. The fried oysters are the best I have ever had and that says a lot coming from the coast. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding! I can not think of the girls name that took care of us after all the stuff we are going through, but she is a beautiful curly haired blonde that was amazing! For someone on the high end service industry, I just want you to know that your efforts are seen and your staff is amazing.the wonderful hostess loved on our fur babies and treated us with much respect. We have family in Mansfield and I can assure you that when coming through again or making restaurant suggestions, you will be first on our list! I had previously been to Fish City Grill in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas and was very disappointed. I wouldn't even think of going to one again because of how disappointed I was. I thought the one I spotted in Mansfield was maybe not part of the same chain because the building looked so different. I took a chance and tried it. It turns out it is part of the same chain but luckily this place was excellent. I had the clam chowder and it was a great tasting, thick hearty soup. It is probably the best I have had in the DFW area. We had the calamari for a starter. It was fresh with light breading and the sweet chili sauce with it had a nice zing. My main dish was fried catfish and shrimp. Both of these items tasted as they should, were not overbreaded, tasted hot and fresh. The server was great and the building had a nice modern seafood decor that was very comfortable to dine in. I will be back to this Fish City Grill.

My mother and I decided to try this place out since we had a taste for some seafood. The crispy calamari was delicious. She got the stuffed flounder with crab and shrimp and I got the shrimp and grits. My mother really enjoyed the stuffed flounder and her prickly pear margarita. We both were not a fan of the shrimp and grits. Austin is a great waiter and was very helpful when my mothers food came out cold the first time. The place overall has good service. For dessert we got the brownie sundae

Delicious!!! Fist time here and they were sooo good to me! This was definitely a Texas Welcome if I ever saw one! I had a preference to be in a corner pocket and the waitress was a complete doll and made it no problem. I was serviced by Austin he was such a doll! Great Server very kind, well spoken and had Great Customer Service. I went to wash my hands and by the time I got back the Manager Isaac greeted me with a dish to try of some of the homemade soups made daily! See pics below. Austin let him know it was my first time here! They were so good! 10/10 so good the Manager Isaac sold me on the Gumbo so tasty!! Thank you! I tried the sampler. I was planning to get an actual entree but the sampler had the best of all worlds and a little bit of everything perfect to start your family on! Thank you both for the Customer Service you guys were amazing! I will def be back to try some of the beer and maybe sit at the bar top! We frequent Fish City Grill the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Lots of choices to pick from. Our favorite waitress is Sade! Sade is always provides top notch customer service with a smile and treats us like family. She is intuitive and attentive! There is always a table available for us when we visit. The only thing to remember os yo bring a sweater if your cold natured because they keep temp inside really cold.

Great spot, so glad we found it. Went for the first time on Mother's Day. The service was excellent. Every food we tried was delicious from the Chipotle shrimp appetizer to the lobster grilled cheese and clam Chowder soup. Will definitely be back!

We order the Chargrilled texas Redfish, Blackened Costa Rican Mahi Mahi, and the Darn Good Burger. All of it was delicious and the service was great. We'll definitely be back!

We'd heard about it, but we tried it yesterday for the first time. Our server was Ainsley. We were hungry and there were so many good items to choose from we just couldn't decide. She was patient with us, recommended great draft beers and even got to sing her happy birthday! The place can be pricey, but the food quality is over top, and we got lucky to get such an awesome waitress.

Went nuts here with my fiancé and ordered a whole bunch of delicious ocean meat. We got lobster, oysters, fish tacos, even grilled pickles! Quincey was our server and he rocked non stop. Please keep in mind that we are pretty far inland but this place knows how to cook fish any way you like it. The beer is cold and the food is hot. Great varied menu. Beer battered cod with some malted vinegar and fries? Yum!

Excellent customer service. Our server was very attentive. One of the managers came by to greet and check us…when she noticed the appetizers had come out ‘after’ our meal, she immediately went into action thinking we had been overlooked…until we told her we ordered another round of calamari since they were so good. 😂 It was a great place to celebrate our Anniversary! - says the wife. 😉

I had a taste for fried catfish and I wasn't disappointed. The also had friend green tomatoes one of my favorite dishes only one slice was good. It was cooked to hard. Next time I'll make a request for softer tomatoes.

Delicious food and fantastic service. They have a big board with specials. Menu says food comes with certain sides, however you can get any 2 sides you prefer!

Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, best service I’ve had in a while! The food was delicious and they were very accommodating with allergy information and substitutes. The fried catfish was a little bland but everything was perfect. It was a bit loud and busy but the tables are spaced nicely. Will definitely be a regular place for us.

Our server, Austin, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive without being overbearing and extremely knowledgeable. I have a slight allergy due to the preservatives that coat the shrimp, and he went above and beyond by checking directly with the cook to find out what kind of shrimp was used. That level of care meant so much to me. He greeted us immediately with a warm smile and was ready to serve from the moment we sat down. Food: I ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer, and it was hands down the best spinach dip I’ve ever had. For my entrée, I had the swordfish with roasted potatoes and asparagus and everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Overall, an excellent dining experience with outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and today we did. I have noticed that they have several fund raisers and that makes me want to try them even more, they give back to the community. We ordered the blackened tilapia and the shrimp and crab stuffed flounder. We could not of been happier with our selection. The food was top notch. We will be back to try other menu selections. Came here Veterans day with with my wife, the restaurant was VERY generous that day, wife and I both got a complimentary entree. I ordered the fish and chips whilst my wife ordered the Garlic Caper Grilled Salmon. The fish and chips were quite delicious and the fries were very good, very well seasoned. My wifes salmon came out like friggin' Gordon Ramsey had prepared it, beautiful presentation and I took a bit of it and wished I had ordered the salmon instead, it was fantastic. Will definitely return, delicious food and great atmosphere

The food is fresh and delicious. We had sampler appetizers of fried pickels, shrimp and crab queso, fried calamari and it all was delicious. The pickels were not over cooked. Yay. They also brought out a sampler of the soups they offer and the favorite for us was the lobster bisque, the red beans and rice was delicious. I had blackened shrimp and green beans and hushpuppies(I love good hushpuppies), all of it was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Great low key chill environment with good sea food and great vibes. Watched the UT/Tech final softball championship game and got some good eats. They didn’t just have gulf oysters, they had two types of East Coast Oysters so I knew then that it would be good. We got a half dozen of each East Coast oyster, then I got the steak and shrimp special. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t some fancy steak house steak, but it’s good for what it is and I definitely recommend it. We also got the calamari and that was great. I’ll definitely be back as I’m in Mansfield regularly.

Absolutely amazing!! We had the Seared New Zealand Ora King Salmon with mash 29.99 Absolutely delicious 😋 and the Grilled Pacific Snapper 22.99. I would highly recommend the salmon. Flavor was light, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Just know, it's a smaller portion so you may want to get an additional side. With that said, it's worth it!!

I’ve had several wonderful experiences with this Fish City Grill, but this evening’s meal exceeded my expectations! I absolutely love the shrimp and crab stuffed flounder (pictured in the background) and would highly recommend that. Tonight, I branched out and tried one of the specials with a tomato garlic sauce and grilled veggies. The veggies were cooked to perfection. As someone who cooks at home a lot, I was impressed that the chef struck the perfect balance between not too mushy and not too stiff, while still maintaining a tasty, fresh flavor. In addition to the delicious food offerings, I haven’t found an espresso martini that tops Fish City Grill’s.

This was our first time visiting and this restaurant was amazing !!! Every single dish was a hit! We ordered the Oyster Nachos, Charbroiled Oysters, Cobb Salad w/ Salmon, Red Snapper w/ Crispy Brussels Sprouts & Red Potatoes, and lastly Banana Pudding. Everything was a 10/10 and so delicious. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. We were seated promptly with no wait and the hostess was very sweet. Our server Torri was very attentive, welcoming, informative, and all around great! I originally arrived with knowing already which dish I wanted but after Torri informed us of the Weekly Specials, I could not pass up the sound of the Red Snapper! The atmosphere and service was 10/10! We will definitely be back!

I stopped for lunch at Fish City Grill in Mansfield, TX, around 1:30 PM on a Thursday while traveling for work. Despite the time of day, the restaurant was fairly busy, which is always a good sign. The service was above average, which made the dining experience even better. I chose the seafood enchilada, a daily special, along with a house salad. The salad was fresh, nicely sized, and a great start. The seafood enchiladas, served with black beans and rice, were very flavorful and a large portion for a lunch dish, especially at under $15. For dessert, I had a slice of key lime pie. While it was okay, it didn’t have the citrus punch I usually expect from a great key lime pie. Overall, I’d recommend Fish City Grill for lunch, especially for the excellent service and generous portions.

I've heard good things about this place and I must admit it didn't disappoint when trying it for myself. This may seem funny to hear but their soupss are really good. You have to try the roasted jalapeno or the crab bisque. The others are good too, but these two were my favorite. I had to bring some home. The main entrees were just as delicious. Im anxious for another visit to try more. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the beer selection, it isn't very large. Other than that the service, food and overall experience was great!

Date night for my wife and I. Nice restaurant. Our server Micah was very friendly and courteous. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us with our food choices. The food was very good. We will definitely return to try other menu items.

This is my first time here I went for lunch… The service was really friendly, very attentive and accommodating. The drinks were good and strong. The only reason why I didn’t give it a five star reading because the beans and rice were mixed together, which it didn’t taste bad. It was just different. I will definitelyvisiting this place again specially, since it’s down the street from my house.

Always have a good time eating here. I hate sea food due to the fishy taste but this place has a barramundi that taste like meat with no fishy flavor. Definitely worth the trip. They lost a star for being out of char grilled oysters and when they try to make it up half of our oysters which are grilled and the other half were sort of grilled. 4.22.22 parmesan crusted Ecuadorian swordfish was so fishy my wife couldn't eat it and she likes fish. They took it off the bill. My fish and chips with fried shrimp were delicious. Still and always a great place to eat.

Micah is an excellent server. Customer service was wonderful. I had the cilantro lime grilled shrimp tacos. They were very bland, but apologies were extended, and the meal was quickly replaced with a burger that was delicious and well seasoned. My husband had the salmon patties with the green beans, nothing exciting, bland as well. I'd return based on the customer service, not the food, unfortunately.

Nice vibe but patience is certainly a virtue. Seems a little understaffed but the food was decent. The shrimp in the shrimp and grits tasted very fishy but I just removed them and the grits were pretty tasty without them.

Service was great! My friends really enjoyed the rainbow trout, fish tacos and calamari. I ordered the gumbo and it was tasty but a little too spicy. The hush puppies are delicious. Would try Fish City again but try the redfish or trout.

Excellent place to enjoy an afternoon healthy lunch. Happy Hour margarita (cucumber) are excellent. Staff is friendly and responsive. We will certainly be back again.

I tried this spot a couple of years ago and decided to swing back by tonight—and wow, I forgot just how bomb the food really is! 🔥 My hubby ordered the Shrimp Po’ Boy (pictured in this review), and I went with the Fishwich, fried extra crispy. Confession: I didn’t even make it to the photo stage before taking a bite—the smell alone had me locked in, and the rest was history. 🤤 The fish was flavorful and crispy just the way I like it, though I do wish it had been drained a little more since it came out a bit greasy. Now, my husband? He was living his best foodie life with that Po’ Boy. He literally said it was BOMB—and judging by the look on his face, he meant it! I’ll admit I was a little jealous, because I wanted a Po’ Boy too, but shrimp is the only option right now and I don’t eat shrimp. Hopefully, they’ll expand the menu to include more choices (a fish or chicken Po’ Boy would be a game-changer 👀). The only downside? Parking. It’s super limited, and I had to get a little creative with where I left my car just to grab our order. 😅 But honestly, greasy fish and tight parking aside, this place is still 100% worth a try. The food delivers, and I’ll definitely be back!

The food was delicious! My husband and I each had two craft beers. I tried the temptress and if you like dark beer, it was very good. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. We chose it based off other reviews and it was such a good choice. These are probably the best fried green tomatoes I have ever had. We each had a cup of soup. He had the gumbo which he said was good and bit smokey tasting. I had the roasted jalapeño it was good, but a bit creamy and heavy. He had the blackened red fish and grilled shrimp special. The red fish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. He loved the side of green beans and how well they were cooked. He said they were crispy without being woody. I had the scallops and bacon wrapped shrimp. The shrimp was delicious and the scallops were perfect, not over cooked at all. We went all out and splurged on dessert too. He had the brownie he devoured, so I am to assume it was great lol. I had the chocolate addiction which was good, but a little rich. The chocolate mouse with the cheesecake was a bit much for me. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is good. Very glad we discovered this restaurant.

My server, Sade, was awesome! She’s what you wish for when dining at a venue. As for the food, well, it was a little flat. My rice was on the cooler side, the spinach was bland, and the blackened trout had a hint of burnt taste…in spite of drowning it out with tartar sauce. It wasn’t the worst and it’s not the best - it’s in-between. This means it’s pretty slim I’ll be back anytime soon.

We visited around 1:30 p.m. today. Overall, the food was just ok. The crab fingers were ok, but very soupy like. It was more onions and peppers than crab fingers. The crab cake was ok, but could’ve used a lemon butter sauce or something extra to bring it together. The catfish and shrimp meal was also just ok, the portion size was a bit disappointing, especially with only one piece of catfish considering the price. The best part of our visit was the Punchline Mocktail. We ordered two, the first one was pretty good, but the second had a stronger orange flavor that overpowered it a bit. It was still enjoyable, but unfortunately, the food didn’t leave enough of an impression for us to return soon.

So, we( party of 5; 2 of whom are minors) went on President Day Monday, and it wasn’t busy but we were still put in the back almost out of sight. Not sure if it had anything to do with us wearing hijabs but that is what I perceived especially since bigger parties were sitting in the main seating area. Our server was kind and respectable. Fish City Grill has been one of my go-to spots for years, but this week was a big disappointment. I ordered the crab cake, and what I got was nothing like the original recipe—more filler and herbs than crab, and honestly, it tasted off. When I complained, the manager told me all the recipes have recently changed and “everyone else has loved it.” She also said because I didn’t have an allergic reaction, they wouldn’t refund me.
