Booked a reservation for a Thursday night in February to celebrate my partner's birthday. The restaurant was actually very quiet, only a few tables, and we had amazing service. The bread was honestly just OK but the penne alla vodka was amazing. I wrote in my reservation that it was my partner's birthday but that he doesn't like public attention, and when we had finished eating I was convinced they decided not to do anything (which would have been fine!!) but then the server very, very quietly came over with a bowl of ice cream and a lit candle and said, "happy birthday" and walked away. It was the kindest act and it really made an impression on me. We'll definitely eat here again next time we're at Foxwoods! This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

Made dinner reservations, and we were promptly seated when we arrived. Menu is small, but there is something for everyone. The service was excellent. Food portions were not large, but they were delicious. My son said the pizza was some of the best he ever had. Out of all the restaurants in Foxwoods I've been to, this one had the best food.

It’s such a huge hotel, I got lost lol. But service was impeccable. The wait time for the check in was long but the room was immaculate and clean is an understatement. Beds were comfortable and the water was hot the way I like it. I would recommend.

A very good restaurant for not a lot of money. The service was good, though we were a large group and very demanding drink-wise. I didnt have a steak, but friends say it was good. The xlrg chix parm was unbelievable! Reasonably priced wine too.

Great small theater at foxwoods. There are no bad seats. Would definately seek out more concerts here.

One of my favorite, go-to restaurants at Foxwoods. The pasta is always fresh and the service is outstanding.

G-R-E-A-T Italian Restaurant in the Foxwoods Casino (North Tower). Ordered the Pork Chop (Giamotto Style?) it was sliced, cooked to perfection, and had new potatoes, sausage & onion. Also ordered Brusell Sporrs & they were also very good. What a great meal with friendly, courteous staff! Would definently visit again!

Had a wonderful experience here. Salmon was impeccable as well as the Ceasars salad. Great drinks,as well. Service was slow but understandable as the Comedy show that night was a full house. Highly recommend !!!

Came for a team family bonding dinner while at War at the Shore baseball tourney. I was apprehensive after reading many online reviews, especially given how pricey it was. Thankfully, our meals were fantastic! Mushroom mezzaluna pasta- light despite a cream sauce, very tasty; rigatoni bolognese- deliciously al dente; salmon with corn succotash- hubby enjoyed that. I had a sparkling moscato which was perfect as I love a sweet wine. Hubby had a Long Island Iced Tea- not too strong, and he was glad for that (though not at the $22 price tag). Everyone at our table enjoyed their food- mussels fra diavolo and pork chop got rave reviews. Staff was very friendly, though a bit slow in getting drinks out. Brought our check without asking if we wanted dessert, and we never saw the pizza menu til we exited the restaurant- maybe they were out? My only real complaint is how pricey it was, and not even complimentary bread or salad. Granted, my family doesn't go to casinos, so maybe this is par for the course. And portions could have been bigger, but that's probably because we're used to cheaper food that's served in large quantities! Definitely a better meal than was expected!

Only thing that’s better than the food (which is hard to beat) is the staff! Everyone so welcoming and kind. Also, the food is DELICIOUS. Already planning my next trip back :)

The food was great, though I do not recommend the espresso martini. The watermelon salad was excellent, the calamari was just ok, but the spicy tomato sauce that was served with it was exceptional. The chicken milanese was a delicious choice as well. The service was absolutely amazing! They were attentive, friendly, gave great advice on dishes, and the bussers were quick, professional and eager to help. I can't say enough about the great staff! The restaurant was clean and well laid out and this is a solid choice for a good meal.

Food was delicious, not ridiculously expensive. Portions were normal, not stupidly large like in some chain restaurants. This keeps quality high. Our waitress was professional and funny. What a great experience! Certainly compares to the better restaurants we frequent in Manhattan.

I ordered the scallops with truffle risotto. There was no evidence of truffles or truffle oil. The scallops were small and overcooked. My wife had a rib steak that was very good quality and cooked perfectly. Good dessert. Server was good. Overpriced.

Consistently Great. This is now our go to restaurant for Italian. Atmosphere and staff are always good but the food is amazing. Take the time to book a reservation. When it busy... it's busy!

We loved an amazing dinner experience !!!! The taste of Italian food was above and beyond !!! The house made pasta and bread is out of this world !!! Tony our server was just great!!! Thank you for an amazing food!!!

Food was good, not amazing, but solid. Service was friendly, though we felt rushed with a 9:30 reservation (they close at 10). $136 for two parms, two salads, and an app with no alcohol..felt overpriced. Overall decent, just not sure it was worth the cost.

Food was good. Service was mostly good. The waiter did forget my husbands second drink but made up for it with some cannolis.

The customer service was top notch they made sure I had everything I needed. I started off with the Caesar salad it was nice and fresh. I also had the garlic bread slices were big. For my main course I had the crispy chicken Piscataway the chicken was well cooked nice and tend full of flavor. The noodles were fresh as well. Very nice atmosphere..

Loved the gluten-free Fettuccini. The gluten-free pasta was made in-house. The chicken parmasean was excellent, and I got mine with brocolli. They also had some sorbet for dessert. The one disappointment is that they serve no bread. Also, there are no refills on iced tea.

I'm giving it four stars because the waiter made the experience better. Friendly, polite and attentive. We arrived a little early and was seated. No beers on tap because the beer taps were not in service. Bottle beer selection was that of a cheap bar. Calamari was great. Chicken parmesan was subpar. Chicken was not moist and the breading was weak. Sorry to say it but almost food service. The broccoli was great. Fresh and crisp with just enough butter.

Everything was beautiful but expected more from the rooms. Showers were great and water pressure was phenomenal. Casino was good, but LOTS of smoking. Smelled like a cigarette within an hour of being on the casino floor.

Shrimp scampi was great, and their salads never disapoint. My friend loved the chicken parm

Came here for my 40th bday dinner last week. Really liked the food, portions, apps, service, etc. The only fault is their tiramisu, typically my favorite, but not today, just a bit dense for me.

The food was served quick and the server was excellent. The food was ok. The chicken parm was a little overdone but my wife enjoyed the scallops.

Usually Food is amazing... unfortunately, tonight, the Chicken Parmesan was highly disappointing for my husband. Chicken was extremely rubbery , he wasn't able to eat it.. we were so excited to go, and the quality of the food was not typical of what we had there. Unfortunately, it's not the Valentines dinner we were hoping for. The service was top-notch.. our server was the kindest. Hope for better quality next time.

Go to Olive Garden. Portions were tiny. Service was slow. Good quality was just alright. They brought us the wrong appetizer and forgot my drink. The place wasn’t even that busy. Overall, it’s just ok, but for the money, there are better options.

The waitress told me 3 times she would bring me another soda before receiving half through the meal . Ask for another soda after that . It took her two more times before receiving my beverage. When ordering she asked if we wanted garlic bread with sauce. Never mentioned this was not included in the meal . Charge either 12 - 14 dollars. You would think for a 39.00 and 36.00 meal bread would be included. The food was average but definitely not great . It took the waitress Elyssa K . several minutes as well to greet us and asked if we wanted something to drink .I left a 18.00 tip on a 122.00 check which was to much for the service. 25 %- 30 % if the service was appropriate. The waitress was not overwhelmed as you have runners bringing out the food and clearing tables. Very disappointing night out .

Well... We ate here a few years ago..it was always a memory of one of the best meals ever! For an appetizer..we ordered shrimp scampi.. it was one thing slice of bread with 4 shrimp on top ..not enough for 2 people and a 17$ price .. Main Course we ordered the clams and pasta..chicken parmesan. The chicken was chewy and inedible...I sent it back.thr clams and pasta was ..just so blah. nothing exciting about it. Our service was top notch. Would not go back.

We dined here this year because we had such a great experience last year. Well we should have left it at once. The food was basic and the prices for the amount of food, especially the sides and appetizers was ridiculous. $11 for 7 spears of asparagus? And this is supposed to be a shared side according to our waitress. $16 for approximately 15 of the smallest calamari I have EVER seen. The steaks were ok, but I've had better for less. The wine was really good. But still, Will not be coming back here for our annual new years dinner again.

Two very poorly made drinks and a lack-luster appetizer cost $60. The peaches were hard as a rock although grilled, and flavorless. Crostini had no flavor but burnt. The prosciutto was ok. The negroni tasted of Mr. Clean and turpentine. It was hard to swallow. We didn't even order dinner, and won't be back.

For a pretty pricey Italian restaurant - the food quality and service does not hit the mark. 1) the restaurant was overwhelmed with late night diners from what appeared to be a dance competition at the conference center — that be said maybe service isn’t as bad usually . It took over 30 mins once we were seated for the waitress to get to our table (again they were overwhelmed), not once but twice did they attempt to serve us another tables meals 2) I have eaten at numerous upscale Italian restaurants not only at other casinos but also in Bostons North end — I expect it’s going to be pricey … but I don’t expect literally Olive Garden like food or even something like I could make at home. My bolognese literally tastes like something someone whipped up at home (and not in a good way).

My husband and I ate there last night. It was our first time going to this restaurant and we were very excited. I am Italian and I could not wait to try their food. All I can say is it was average at best. Extremely overpriced and the quality of the food just wasn’t there for us. The only good thing we had was a Caesar salad, which basically any restaurant can make. We had Nonna’s meatballs, which were extremely small and lack flavor and could’ve come from the frozen food section at Costco. My shrimp scampi was lacking flavor. I had to add a lot of Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to get it to have any flavor. My husband had the eggplant Parmesan extremely small piece does not come with any pasta on the side and I’ve had much better at pizzerias in the area. The final failure was the dessert we paid $14 for the smallest piece of cheesecake we’ve ever seen in our lives. If you want people to come back to your restaurant, please at least give a decent portion so that we could actually enjoy it more and see if we really liked it. It was literally an inch and a half in width Extremely disappointing. Unfortunately we will never go back there again. There are much better options in the area.

Honestly pretty good food but absolutely terrible drinks and staff. There were two beers not on draft and we were charged for it in addition to the two beers we did order (4 beers charged, 2 beers served). We also ordered two tequila shots and we're charged $90 for it. I understand there's expensive tequila but charging the most expensive stuff for a shot without being asked is pretty ridiculous. I asked for the whiskeys available and the waiter asked me if Knob Creek was a whiskey. Absolutely unbelievable. I get there's staff shortages and not everyone may be knowledgeable but this is an absolute disgrace.

This was a disappointing meal. To start, the service was poor. Constantly had to ask for drink refills and they left dirty plates on the table throughout the meal. Server was also very curt. The plates were small and the food mediocre. Fried calamari and piazza was decent. Famous garlic bread was pretty dry and should not be famous. It was a group of 6 and the meals we had ordered were sub par. Eggplant Parmesan had a sponge like texture and the sauce was super dark and chunky. Bolognese was so so. Short ribs over polenta had no actual polenta on the plate. Chicken Milanese was beyond bland. The desserts were no better. The fried ricotta donut holes were actually raw which the server was shown. When we told the server her response was “I’ll tell the chef to do better next time”. I have eaten at a lot of nicer restaurants and the typical response should have been for them to remove it from the bill which they refused to do. The cannolis were extremely small and the cream tasted nothing like actual cannoli cream. It tasted more like whipped cream and it had chocolate beads on it instead of the standard chocolate chips. Overall extremely overpriced sup par meal with sub par service. I would not recommend the restaurant.

We had made reservations for party of 10 to celebrate a 50th birthday and spent very good money there. I asked the women checking people in to put our cake in fridge before we were seated to keep it cold. That’s was never done because the cake arrived sagging and very warm. The prices there were inline but the quality of food is very poor and portions are extremely small. The chef or whoever they have in the kitchen preparing meals needs to be fired ASAP!. Would never go there again and would never recommend this place to anyone unless it was for a salad . It’s hard to screw that up..

R
Rachael Fortier

Made us wait for our entire party to be seated even though they were empty. Right off the bat they lost drink sales while we stood outside for 10 minutes for no reason. The drinks were not good. It was like it wanted to be a fine dining restaurant with the high priced meals and small portions, but the food actually had no flavor. Garlic bread with no garlic, rubbery chicken parm, a scallop meal with 5 scallops that were over cooked. The wait staff was fine but the hostess wasn't very customer service oriented. Overall, I cannot believe how much money we spent to have a meal no better than at a Dennys. Spend your money elsewhere.

The atmosphere was nice enough, service was ok. We started out with calamari, which was tender and very good, and garlic bread, which was big thick chunks of bread soaked oil/butter, but I couldn’t take any garlic. Several people in our group ordered the pan seared scallops with a butternut puree. All of our food was lukewarm to cool! We waited for the waiter to return but figured we better eat before it got colder and didn’t have the time have the food remade. One person in our group can’t have dairy so the did away with the purée, but didn’t give him anything as a substitute. When he finally did come back and we complained he said they were busy because there was a show tonight and they were busy he would he tell his manager, nothing was done! 5 scallops on a plate with a little purée for $40 and it was cold on top of that. I wouldn’t go back there!

The food was mediocre. 2/3 things we ordered didn’t come. The bartender was nice and comped our drinks, but would not return.

M
Mitzi MArtinez

The food was cold by the time it got to us and we waited awhile, when concern was expressed waitress didn’t off to reheat or resolve any of the issue. She came back with the bill told us manager was aware and she might come talk to us never again. At least serve 200$ meals hot and fresh

A

Drinks were ok and the food was ok. We ordered garlic bread and it was stale and did not even taste like garlic bread at all. The service was horrible. Had to ask the host if we even had a server. The server even had a weird vibe. The restaurant wasn’t even packed and we were waiting on drinks and food for a while. I’ve been to this restaurant before and it was great but now it has gone downhill. For the prices you are not getting what you are paying for. I do not recommend this place.

We dined on Valentines Day and I told them I was celebrating my birthday on my reservation. When I called to let them know I needed to update it they said ok but did not acknowledge the note that I was celebrating my birthday. When we arrived the hostess did not greet us and did not acknowledge my birthday. The waitress even by the end of my meal did not acknowledge my birthday and I ordered dessert which was a big fat let down. I didn't even get a candle or said happy birthday to. Also the cheesecake was supposed to be Nutella but there was barely any chocolate and had no flavor of Nutella and it was very dry. Thanks Alta Strada for not making the night a nice night at all. Very disappointed in the dessert and your lack of customer service

Tried for the first time tonight since options have been limited due to fire. Service at the bar for us was extremely poor… Don’t see myself returning…

H

Went to the restaurant and order chicken that came with greens on the side. It was heavy on the chicken portion. The chicken was so dry, I had no lie two bites. And all the greens, which were okay but if the chicken was edible I would have ate that. The bartender asked me about boxing my chicken and I said no, it wasn’t good. (I can’t remember if she checked in before that). She had the shift supervisor. They simply took a little more than half off because I ate the lettuce. $15 for a handful of lettuce and I will still hungry. So I had to go get dinner after.

M
Marlana Borgos

The prices are very high but the quality and taste of food are awful. The marinara sauce was so acidic. The bread (that you have to pay for) was cold and hard. The waitress was not interested in hearing complaints.

B

Atmosphere was nice that's about it. The service was horrible, had to wave down the waitress like I was haling a cab in New York just to get her to come to the table. There were only two of us but for some reason the party of 4 who was seated 20 minutes after us had three rounds of drinks brough to them before I even got my second one. Then an hour and half later we still have no food but again the party of 4 next to us were enjoying their food. We ordered a pizza and chicken under a brick doesn't take that long to make. I waved down the waitress again like haling a cab in New York just to check the check. I was so frustrated I didn't want anything to do with the food at this point. This so-called General Manager Casey Reilly was absolutely no help, she defiantly needs to go to training on how to handle customer situations without acting like its not her fault and offer 4 meatballs the size of cocktail meatballs for the inconvenience. Really. 30 years I have been in customer service and this by far my worst experience. One more thing, the next day I get emailed how was your experience. I filled it out with a one star looking for someone to talk to. Left all my info. email, phone number and still no one got back to me. Nice fine dining restaurant you are running there that not even anyone above this Casey Reilly General manager seems to care because I have ignored so far.

I’d give less if possible and I’m not even basing this on food 6:15 reservation, sat right away. It’s 6:47 and haven’t even received our drinks. I’ll let you know when they finally arrive lol

We came here for a valentine’s night dinner. I ordered the bolognese pasta and my husband had the shrimp scampi. Both pasta dishes were horrible. My husband and I have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants and this one definitely missed the mark. Both dishes had no flavor, watery. We both tried to swallow the food but we just couldn’t do it. Our server on the other hand was very understanding and kind. I honestly would never come here again and I would not recommend this place to anyone. For the price they charge don’t waste your money you’re better off going elsewhere.

David L

The waitress & front of house are great. We had a party of 6, spent over 2-1/2 there mostly waiting on the food. On a dead Wednesday, they ran out of the Veal, (most expensive menus item!) the Pork Chops were great. Everything else was awful. Pasta was made right as the order hit the kitchen, and by the time all the food came out, the pasta dish had a burnt crust from being in a plate warmer for so long. My wife’s bolognese tasted like the guys salmon next to us for some reason. Honestly we spent almost 750 dollars and got absolute terrible quality. We were expecting better for being less busy, but not a chance. Don’t order the calamari, it hit my stomach like a rock. In fact If you cook at home, chances are that you make a better meal. Will not return.
