We will definitely be back! This place is 10/10. Bar manager, Pauly was so friendly and very much a drink mixolgoist! Highly recommend the Pear Martini!! From apps to main course 10/10.

Our family had a great dining experience from start to finish. The dining room was beautiful, all the personnel were welcoming and knowledgeable. Before dinner we had nicely crafted drinks by the bar. The food for dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The bread basket is a must, and make sure not to forget the dessert!

2nd time coming here, about a 45 minute drive for me but I’ll definitely be back! Meals have been very tasty, service has been pretty good. Atmosphere is good. I just like this place all around. I recommend trying especially now that they are open to the public. The thanksgiving buffet was delightful! Plenty of delicious food! Everything I’ve tasted has been delicious so far 😋

We went there last night for a friend’s birthday dinner. This was probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve been to. When we walked in we were greeted by two people in the dinning hall. One person took my umbrella. That to me was an indication that this will be a great experience. (It’s the little things that are appreciated) Food, drinks, service, absolutely top tier. At one point a guest from our party got lost coming in and the manager went to look for her PERSONALLY. Not only that, the person who went to look for her initially got drenched in the rain and he provided him with a dry shirt so he could finish his dinner with the group. I don’t think any of us experienced service like this anywhere else. Don’t hesitate, come here! Thank you everyone who worked that night. We had a time and appreciated the atmosphere and service.

Most special seventh wedding anniversary of our entire lives. Impeccable service. Our meals, drinks and dessert were absolutely delicious. They gave us a special anniversary card and made us feel like the most special people on the planet. Private dining, it was unforgettable; truly lightning in a bottle. It was so beautiful.

First, the entrance is amazing, the rams are adorable and then you get to the restaurant and the inside is incredible! We were greeted by Andre who was very nice and corrected a mistake on our order before we could even mention it, he noticed! Then we met Tim who was just incredible. We had all been to the Foxwoods location and so we had to come try this location. So much better! We ate some of the same things as the other location and it was just so much better here. I don’t like bacon at all but that clothesline bacon, 10/10. It’s a must-try for sure! We will for sure be back! And going to the other locations, we’re making a list now! Please keep up the amazing work

Absolutely loved my experience at Double Barrel Steak! The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The star of the show was undoubtedly the open face chicken I ordered for lunch.

My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner this evening the speciality drinks were to die for as well as the clothesline bacon! And what a fun way to survey it. We both order steaks that were melt in your mouth to die for as well as the creamiest mashed potatoes and the asparagus. We will be back!

Overall an excellent dining experience, the steaks were cooked perfectly. We had the shrimp cocktail, a meal itself. The closeline bacon with a little lemon and pickle, who new about that and didn't tell me and the crab cakes delicious. Ths sides were excellent as well, we had the mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, wild mushrooms and the spinach, all perfectly prepared. And the steaks the 32oz porter house and the 42 oz caveman both perfectly cooked to medium rare. For dessert it as the Key lime pie and the chocolate mousse cake both were delicious.

I don't normally write reviews because that's how a hidden gem ends up being world-famous. That said, Double Barrel is way too nice to be kept a secret. The service was exceptional, with nary an empty drink in sight all evening. They have a drink menu with some choices that I found to be both unique and delightful. At Kristina's (our server) recommendation, I got one of their specialty martinis, a frothy bleu cheese and pepper mix with a generous pour of vodka--it was delicious. We had bread service, with popovers and cornbread, as well as the clothesline bacon. Don't skip the bacon. This bacon is life-changing. It was the best bacon I have ever had, and the next runner-up is basically garbage bacon by comparison. They torch sear it at the table. I've been to restaurants with family or friends where people are too polite to grab the last dinner roll. This is the kind of bacon that you would fight your grandmother for the last slice. For dinner, I had a charming lobster ravioli and my husband had the boneless short rib. We also ordered a side of the Brussels sprouts which was topped with a generous helping of bacon. All three dishes were Michelin-star worthy and I was a tad bitter my husband finished his entree at the table (the audacity!). The leftovers would have been legendary. Many of our group had Kristina package their leftovers to go, and I'll bet they're having the best lunch of their lives right now. At this point, I was truly full. But something about the dessert menu really called to me. Actually, everything about the dessert menu called to me. We went for the bourbon maple bread pudding (which had bacon baked inside) and it was heavenly. They also had a lovely coffee service, which was great for bringing us out of our food comas. I cannot wait to return to try their dry-aged tomahawk steak and--of course--more of the clothesline bacon.

Highly recommend this place! Went there for my wedding anniversary and my husband and I were treated like a king and queen. My husband had to change the time of the reservation and they were super accommodating. Our server Ben was super attentive the whole time and gave us great recommendations, the chefs and people that made our drinks went the extra mile and even the owner of the whole place, Paul, took time of his busy day to talk with us. Paul was very friendly, informative, attentive, down-to-earth and just wonderful to talk to (and so was Ben). Paul even bought us drinks and gave us a day pass for the following day! The whole dinner experience was an unforgettable one. Thank you for everything! We will be back!

I am not a bit hesitant to give this restaurant all 5 stars after my dining experience. My family and I made a reservation for 6 of us a month in advance just to make sure we would be able to get in for a birthday celebration. Everything was better than expected from the atmosphere, to the hospitality and of course the most amazing meal. We had to order the famous clothesline bacon of course to start and that was just as expected. We each ordered different steaks for our main course, all cooked to perfection. A manager stopped to check in on us during our entrees which I felt was a nice gesture. Is this an expensive restaurant?? Yes. But it is worth it! Especially for a special occasion. We will be back, thank you double barrel for a memorable experience !

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Double Barrel, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and the ambiance was inviting and elegant. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with precision and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend the Clothesline Bacon. How fun and delicious! Every bite was a culinary delight, and the presentation of each dish was exquisite. The attention to detail in both the food and the service truly set this restaurant apart. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of our meal was perfect. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate. Overall, I cannot recommend Double Barrel highly enough. It exceeded all expectations and left a lasting impression. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further.

Today, Mother’s Day, my daughter and wife and I went to brunch at the Double Barrel Steak house located in the Preserve Sporting club in Richmond RI. My daughter made the reservation a few months ago and I must admit after reading the Yelp reviews I went with some concern. I will try and structure my review to address some of the negative comments I read in yelp. First the arrival at the security gate, some reviews were negative about the experience. We were greeted like old lost friends. When we explained it was our first visit he replied “you will love it here” and gave us clear directions to the restaurant. Upon arrival at the hostess desk within the restaurant were were immediately seated at a table at a small bar with many mounted animals on the walls. The room was beautiful with wood and stonework. We arrived right at 11 AM opening so it took a few minutes for them to continue setting up. No problem we grabbed a few mimosas and sat down. Our waitress cam and introduced herself along with a few extra mimosas. There were several negative comments about slow service. We did not experience this. Our waitress cleared dishes every time she walked by but what I was most impressed by was the management in suits who also bussed tables every time they walked by. You do not see that every day. Now on to the food. Among the 3 of us we sampled, in no particular order; The lobster rolls, Stone crabs, U8 shrimp, Beef tenderloin Eggs Benedict, pork sausage, smoked salmon, lobster Pasta and popovers. This was only ½ the items offered! Everything tasted was exceptional. By the way the staff at all the stations were just as friendly and efficient as our waitress. We did have a small issue. When my daughter booked she confirmed they would make omelets. She reconfirmed this a second time. When we arrived, we found this to be incorrect. Not that we needed any additional food but my daughter mentioned this to one of the managers. He apologized and proceeded to have someone make me an omelet. That is excellent service! So, to summarize, friendly efficient staff, exceptional facilities, great food, and problem-solving management who are not afraid the get their hands dirty. We were so impressed that we are researching joining the club.

For my sister’s birthday the ladies in my family decided to get brunch before heading to the spa. The atmosphere was lovely, the almost every seat giving beautiful views of the property. The service was prompt and very professional and the food and drinks were amazing. Brunch prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious! Not only were the portions generous, the presentation on all of our meals were beautiful and I appreciated the use of local sources for ingredients (RI maple syrup and greens).

I came to the Double Barrel for Sunday brunch and my family and I had a lovely experience. The menu options were delicious and everyone in my group raved about their meals. I especially enjoyed the Peach Bellini drink special! The prices were very reasonable, the restaurant was extremely clean with very nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back!

I went to Double Barrel last night for a special occasion with a big group. We had a really great time. The serving team, led by Pierre, was attentive and friendly. We ate at a leisurely pace across apps, entree, and dessert. The group’s favorite dishes included the tuna and salmon tartar, the wedge salad, the porterhouse, the creamed spinach, and the donut dessert. It was a special night, made even more so because David Burke himself happened to be there and stopped by each table to say hello. We are all still absolutely stuffed full the next morning and already looking forward to our next visit. Note: The restaurant is located within The Preserve, a resort, so you have to drive in past the security gate and through the woods to reach the lodge where the restaurant is located. It’s beautiful. But make sure you have a reservation or I’m not sure if they will let you through the security gate.

I had the pleasure of dining at Double Barrel Steak with my husband and our 2 friends last weekend. The service was great and the food even better. We started with the bread service which was unique (popovers, corn bread, grapes and sweet butter). Everyone enjoyed their entrees and my husband expressed that the filet mignon was the best he’s ever had! We ended our meal with dessert and delicious espresso martinis. Highly recommend making a reservation and having dinner!

We had an incredible Easter Sunday Brunch here with our Son and 7 of his fellow cadets. Paul showed us around the property prior to our seating and told us all about the 3600 acre preserve. Very impressive experience all around. The food was fantastic and we will be back for dinner in the near future!

Planned a birthday dinner for my mother turning 87. We had 10 guests. The only thing better than the food was the service from our server Kristina. She didn’t miss a beat. All of my guests were impressed with everything. All of the food was perfect.

Double Barrel Steak has truly redefined my steak experience. From the moment I walked in, I was embraced by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive staff ensured a memorable dining experience, making me feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the steak. Each bite of the succulent Double Barrel Steak was a carnivore's dream come true. The chef masterfully brought out the rich, bold flavors of the meat, which was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right, melting in my mouth with each savory bite. The side dishes were equally impressive, complementing the steak beautifully. Whether it was the crisp vegetables or the creamy mashed potatoes, each element on the plate was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Double Barrel Steak. If you're a steak lover, this is one culinary journey you don't want to miss.

I had a great surprise when I was met by 10 friends for a 87 Birthday dinner planned for me. From the moment I arrived at the Preserve where the Double Barrel Steak is located...I was greeted by the security guard who said Happy Birthday too me. The meal and service were exceptional. The server treated me like a queen for the evening. Thank you to the staff at the Double Barrel Steak for making my 87th birthday soooo special.

We enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner — a traditional turkey and dressing meal with plenty of fresh vegetables, soups, salads and several desserts. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was excellent. The entire staff was friendly, professional and efficient. The only thing that could have made it better was a package that included a take-home dinner so guests could experience the joy of holiday leftovers.

We attended a Birthday celebration at the Double Barrel that did not disappoint. The restaurant and surrounding grounds of the Preserve were spectacular. Our hostess and waitress were very personable and accommodated our every needs, from a complimentary cocktail at the bar to the best seating in the restaurant, in front of the relaxing fireplace. Dinner was superb, starting with the Clothesline Bacon, more than enough for the five of us, and of course steaks for the main course. We decided on the dry age rib eyes and special bone-ln filets. Sides are extra but sufficient for sharing. I must say it was a Birthday we will cherish.

Easter Brunch was an absolutely divine experience. The food was award winning as well as the abundant selection. The service was impeccable with an extraordinary atmosphere and detailed decor. It’s always nice to see Chef Burke in his element. The Double Barrel Steak Restaurant by David Burke at The Preserve has become one of our favorite go to restaurants whether it be a night out, celebration, or holiday with family.

Just had an absolutely fantastic meal at Double Barrel. We started with the burrata salad with duck prosciutto which was spectacular. For dinner we had the double barrel steak special which included two 8oz steak filets, a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a peppercorn crust and béarnaise sauce. For $120 it is a tremendous value. We finished the meal with key lime pie which was 10/10. The service was impeccable and I regret that I don’t recall my waitresses name but she was attentive and friendly. Finally, Phil S, who I believe is the GM, chatted with us to assure that everything was up to par. He was truly a warm and convivial host. We will be returning again soon!

Went on Christmas Day and I think this will Be our new family tradition. We got the bacon and crab cakes to start, and I will dream about the bacon until I get it again. For entrees we had the Waygu burger and short rib and I cant wait to order the short rib again. Drinks were also incredible ! Just a 10/10 experience. Our server (Paul I believe his name was) was so friendly and attentive and knowledgeable and made the whole experience so much better. Love this place, going to return for New Year's Eve!

Had the most amazing dinner at Double Barrel Steakhouse inside The Preserve in Richmond, RI easily one of the most beautiful and elegant spots I’ve been to. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the tone, rustic yet upscale, with every detail thoughtfully done (even the pumpkins at the entrance were giving fall perfection 🍂🎃). We came with a party of 12 to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and the service was impeccable. Our waitress was so attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out perfectly, even with such a large group. Now let’s talk food 😍 everything was cooked to perfection. The steaks were tender and flavorful, the sides were delicious, and every dish was beautifully plated. You can truly tell the chefs take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience in Rhode Island that still feels warm and inviting, this is the place. Perfect for celebrations, date nights, or just treating yourself to a great meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 — highly recommend! 📍Double Barrel Steakhouse at The Preserve, Richmond RI 🥩 Elegant atmosphere • Exceptional service • Incredible food

Very nice special occasion restaurant located on the beautiful grounds of The Preserve. The restaurant vibe was good, the service and food much better. The marrow and bread service impressive and delicious. The bacon appetizer unique and equally delicious probably won the appetizer round. My shrimp and scallop risotto was mixed in that scallops were excellent, shrimp very good and risotto just average. My wife and son had filets and they loved them (I stole a bite and agreed, perfect cut, perfectly prepared and loved the sauce). Chocolate mousse cake was fantastic, bread pudding was good. We will return, probably on a cold winter night to enjoy the fireplace.

My son joined my wife and I last night for what turned out to be a nice dinner. Service was exceptional. The ambiance was very nice. Food was very good. Wasn’t very busy for a Saturday night but not unexpected for a higher end place well away from any major city. I was a little surprised to see blue jeans and pull over hoodies meeting the dress code but money talks I guess. We started with the bacon appetizer and a shrimp cocktail. For dinners, two of us had the bone in ribeye and one the short rib. We skipped desert as we were all full. As a steakhouse, it’s average. As a nice restaurant with very good food, it was very good. I’m sure we will visit again.

Overall, Double Barrel steakhouse isn’t worth the price. My wife and I stayed in one of the Hilltop condos for a night and decided to dine at Double Barrel Steakhouse. The setting was nice and the staff friendly. The host greeted us and tried to seat us next to window but we requested to sit away from the window to avoid cold drafts, to which the host happily obliged. We were one of three groups in the entire restaurant for the duration of our meal, yet the service was unusually slow. The host that seated us ended up being our server as well. It seemed like there was only one server and she could only go to one table at a time. She didn’t seem to understand that she could check on another table as she was walking by from another table on her way to the kitchen. I asked for a Blue Moon and the server came back a bit later to inform me they were out, and none of the other beer options are remotely close to it. I settled for a Sam Adams. I ordered the 20 oz. ribeye (medium rare) and Brussels sprouts and my wife ordered steak frites. When the food finally came out, my steak was much smaller than I expected for a 20 oz. and seemed more like a 12 oz. It seemed like it was crusted with a blow torch rather than cooked on a grill or griddle. It was more rare than medium rare. While the steak was tender, it had absolutely no juices and little flavor. I can cook my own steaks better and spend less than half of what I paid for this hunk of trash. Maybe it’s a David Burke thing or a dry aged thing, but both Double Barrel and the David Burke restaurant in Foxwoods casino provided a dry, flavorless cut of meat that I’ll never pay for again. Seriously? How do you mess up a ribeye? My wife seemed to like her steak, but it was a hanger steak and wasn’t dry aged, so maybe stop trying to dry age stuff if you don’t know what you’re doing? The Brussels sprouts were decent but also seemed like they cooled off too much by the time they came to the table. Are there no warming lamps in the kitchen? Or does the food sit for an excessively long time because the server is super slow? We will probably visit the Preserve again in the future and might give DB steakhouse another chance, but I certainly won’t be ordering any dry aged steaks.

Had lunch here today and while the food was overall good, there were some notable issues. We ordered an appetizer of Gruyère cheese popovers, cornbread and grapes to have with our wine. It was served to us without the cornbread and we were told that it wasn’t made today. One of my companions asked what they were going to substitute and the server went to the kitchen and came back offering more popovers. We didn’t want more popovers because they are rich and we ordered a sampler. A manager came over and also offered more popovers and we declined. Finally we were told they would take it off the bill. Also, there were maybe 10 grapes on the plate which seemed minimalist. Two of us ordered the pheasant sandwich. The menu said it came with guacamole. There were sliced avocados on them. My chicken salad with grapes and candied walnuts was flavorful but there weren’t any candied walnuts in it. We found the food to be extra salted, especially the fries, and we stopped for water on the ride home. The server was polite and professional but didn’t seem super experienced and having experience in the food industry, I don’t think she should have been the messenger from the kitchen when it came to the big omission in the appetizer.

Echoing others in the reviews: Double Barrel is trying very hard to be a high end restaurant, but misses the mark in value and experience. Dinner for four (bread, shrimp, steak/sides, dessert, and a $130 bottle) came to $700. There were only six other guests during our entire dining experience, yet dinner service lasted over two and a half hours - about one hour too long. A few notable delays: Took us over twenty minutes to get our bottle of wine, then another 40 minutes to get our mains. Tomahawks were cooked mid-rare but were lukewarm by the time they were prepped and brought to the table. The food was good but not great and our party agreed it was not worth the price. We’ll take our business to The Ocean House next time.

1st time coming here. we were a party of 6 on a Saturday night dinner. We were so looking forward for a aged steak, looking forward to experience a tomahawk steak. 2 couples ordered the tomahawk steak and one couple ordered the porter house steaks.Thinking we were going to get the steaks that they had photos of on there wed site and Facebook pages. the waitress comes out and puts the plate in front of me and I looked and say this isn't a tomahawk steak, it was 2 rib eye steaks individually cooked then the steak was sliced and laid on top of there steak sauce and a small rib bone between the 2 steaks, I asked where's the big bone and big cut of meat her response was, the chef butterflies the steak so its easier for him to cook. Now i didn't mind the steak sauce, butt my wife did and the other quest weren't happy about it either. so disappointing. I didn't realize that I was there to make the chefs life easier I thought the chef was there to cook the food as advertised not whats easier for him.

For a top end restaurant was really surprised that the food was not good. The hanging bacon was delicious. All the steaks were not cooked correctly. A $99.00 steak should be perfect. The wagu burger was supposed to be medium rare and was well done I will say the waitress was very good. We didn't complain to her because we felt bad we just won't go back.

Not impressed. the place was empty (including the bar) when we went on a friday night. scarce staff. They all seemed like we were interrupting their slow night. Food was good but nothing fancy - very basic. Decorated nice but no ambiance. If you are looking for outstanding food with a great vibe this is not it. If you want plain food in an empty place with zero personality, then you might like it. Oh and they couldn't even get the bill right (with 1 or 2 other tables of people in the place!)

2 stars for great staff. Food wasn't great and was over priced. Drinks were great but also very expensive (think NYC roof top prices but instead of a rooftop your in an outdated cabin). Menu is also sparse and boring. I've been to dozens of "Steak Houses" like this across the US and this is one I would not return to.

We decided to have a friends dinner and chose Double Barrel. The website, menu, and other events looked amazing. Upon arrival the restaurant is very well done. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant at the same time. Well it ended there. We sat and ordered drinks. Two people got their drinks, but the bottle of wine took about 30 minutes to show up. The man who brought it to us casually sad he got side tracked that's why it took so long. Ok let's move along from that. The server was polite but I am not sure the training is that of a fine dining establishment. We ordered appetizers. Brussel sprouts, bread service for 4 people (way over priced), side by side (oysters and shrimp cocktail) the shrimp were good as well as the oysters (tiny though). The sauces on the other hand were awful. The cocktail sauce was pretty much just ketchup. The mignonette was so strong with tarragon that it overpowered the oysters. The lobster dumplings were fine. Now let's talk dinner. We ordered and quite some time went by and the salad had not arrived. We asked for it and the server brought it out. We proceeded to order a 20 ounce dry aged steak for 2 of us to share, tuna, and steak frites. While we waited we ordered another bottle of wine with no issue. Our waters never got refilled until we asked. The food came out and the tuna which was ordered rare surprisingly (not really) came out well done. We sent it back. On the second chance the fish came out rare. Did I mention the piece if fish was tiny for the price?? The steak frites was not an issue. The 20 ounce dry aged steak was cut and served on two plates (which we did not ask for). The $75 steak was 100% not dry aged, the bone did not come with it, and there were 4 slices on each plate which I am positive was much less that 20 ounces. The side of mushrooms had woody "sticks" in it and bacon which was not advertised on the menu and one person at the table does not eat meat. That being said, we decided that we will not return for any events or for dinner again.

Grounds were nice. Restaurant atmosphere was nice. Food was so-so, my steak was good everything else below average. Service was poor, extremely slow. Our waitress took our order, brought us our drinks, then we never saw her again until she brought us our bill. We asked 3 different people for a 2nd glass of wine (a woman who refilled our water glasses and she said she'd send over our waitress, who never showed up, a man in a suit making his rounds asking how things were, and the young girl who initially seated us at our table who actually brought us the wine). It took over a 1/2 hour to get a 2nd glass of wine and even longer to get our meal. We will not be returning and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

T

From the gated entrance to the sign with dress code and members only partitions this place made you feel less than welcome. It took crazy long just to get the order in. Server was totally inexperienced. The appetizers took 45 min. Salads and a shrimp cocktail! During the almost 3 hour dinner we had our water refilled ONCE but only because we asked! I ordered a ribeye $75 rear. It was medium done and cold by the time our main appeared (30 min after appetizers). NYC high end restaurant prices with Wendy’s service and school cafeteria food … off all the restaurants I have been to, this is by far the worst

My parents invited me to dinner here for my birthday and I was really looking forward to the fine dining experience, however sadly that was not the experience. Our waitress made several mistakes and was very unattentive. When we brought this up to the waitress she snapped at my parents and when she returned with my drink it was slammed on the table. We had ordered entrees and drinks to consume together, entrees came I had to reorder my side because it was forgotten and it was as we were finishing up our meal we finally asked where our drinks were. We were given a story how our drink ticket was lost but that was besides the point, an attentive server would have realized the hold up long before we had to say something. My biggest disappointment was we came here for a celebratory experience and it turned out to be neither, our mood was killed by the service and after the 3.5 it took to have 2 drinks appetizers and entrees we were all ready to leave, only problem was it took us another half hour for my father to finalize checking out as our server was nowhere to be found after dropping off the check. I will say it did look busy but at a reservation only restaurant that shouldn't affect service. They did comp a couple drinks but in comparison to the bill seemed like a paltry gesture.

Went here for dinner with family today and was not impressed at all. The service was slow food was mediocre at best. For the amount of money you pay I expected a lot more from this restaurant. We had a reservation at 630p and we didn’t get our plates until about 8p. The drinks and appetizers were very slow to come out through the 1.5 hours we had before our main course came out. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant when we arrived. We ordered bread service, calamari, and the smoked salmon. The bread was burnt, calamari was all batter and barely any calamari, and the smoked salmon was decent. I ordered a ny strip and it was the thinnest slice of meat I’ve had at an upscale restaurant like this. For the price I expected a thick cut. As others have said, this place is not worth the price point and it’s trying to be an upscale restaurant but it shouldn’t be. The price does not match the service/quality.

all the hype around this place I thought it would be a fine dining experience with exceptional food. I made reservations months in advance and upon confirming my reservation days before they didn’t bother mentioning that there was a private party that night and the dining room wasn’t available. We were seated in a bar area. The bacon was good, but the rest of the meal was nothing special. My mom ate the swordfish and after dinner got food poisoning and was throwing up with cold sweats. For a restaurant promoting fine dining and making guests wear a dress code and spend hundreds of dollars this restaurant was no better than a local bar. Very disappointing food and atmosphere. Very inconsiderate to diners. Horrible experience would not go again.

My wife and I had been wanting to try Double Barrel Steak, so she made a reservation for my birthday dinner. We were greeted nicely, and the hostess acknowledged my birthday. Pretty much went downhill from there. The hostess ended up being the sole wait staff for our evening. She was very nice, but there was no bus service, so no one to refill our water glasses when empty, no one to replace silverware when needed. We ordered the bread service, and shortly after were informed that the chef said there were no popovers at the moment. We said that was fine, but assumed the order would come out later with another course. It did not, and towards the end of our meal, we noticed that other diners had received their bread order. No explanation as to what happened to ours. We ordered the porterhouse for two, which was brought out on a platter and held up for our viewing, then brought back into the kitchen to be sliced. It then took over 20 minutes for it to be brought back to our table. Back to the bus service issue… we actually had to get up from our table to request steak knives after our $135 steak was brought to our table. The food was okay, but certainly not the caliber of a high end steak house. We selected the doughnuts for dessert – the homemade donuts were almost inedible. The service throughout the evening was very slow, despite the restaurant being less than half full. We found ourselves waiting an unusually long time between each course. We were there for 3 hours – extremely excessive for a party of two. When we received the bill, our waitress informed us that 18% gratuity had already been added to the bill, something I have never experienced for a party of two. They also charged us for the bread service we never received. We were charged $16 for a negroni, and a $4 up charge for Hendricks gin. When at a fine dining restaurant, I do not expect an upcharge for a brand of alcohol that is standard at any other restaurant or bar. I’d much rather be charged $20 for the drink than be nickeled and dimed with an up charge. On our way out, I very respectfully shared our displeasure with the manager. He said, “Thank you.” As if I had provided a compliment. And that was all. No apology, so concern that we had such a poor experience. If I could give an overall rating of “0” stars, I would.

This place go down a lot! Cole years ago we got good experience and we come back for family celebration. Muggy vine glasses, dirty windows, overpriced food. And tips18% included in the bill!!! Even charging 18% tips for food to go! Shame.
