Krischs is my all time favorite diner… I have come here since I was a little kid and still come here consistently as an adult. The homemade ice cream is my favorite, and the atmosphere is the best!! I always bring my friends from out of town here and they love it. It always hits the spot!

Krisch’s is the kind of place that transports you back in time — vintage décor, soda fountain vibes, and a warm, old-school atmosphere. Their homemade ice cream is the real star here. The flavors are rich, creative, and generously portioned (seriously — one scoop is more than enough!). Personal favorites were the Rainbow Cookie and Fluffernutter — both unique and delicious. The sundaes and milkshakes are fun, especially if you’re bringing kids or want to treat yourself. You have to try “The Kitchen Sink” challenge at least once for the novelty alone. The food side of the menu is solid, more classic diner fare — not bad, but nothing mind-blowing. Service was friendly, though things can get a little slow when it’s busy.

Whether you go for a classic sundae, a thick milkshake, or one of their specialty creations, you really can’t go wrong. The portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. What I love most is the nostalgic vibe—Krisch’s isn’t just about dessert, it’s an experience. It’s the perfect spot for families, date nights, or even just to treat yourself. Definitely one of the best places on Long Island for anyone with a sweet tooth! Highly recommend—you’ll want to come back again and again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a wonderful experience at Krisch’s! The ambiance is so warm and inviting — it really made the whole visit extra special. My burger was absolutely delicious: juicy, flavorful, and you can tell everything is made with fresh ingredients. And the ice cream… wow! So creamy, rich, and perfectly sweet — just the way I like it. It honestly felt like the perfect treat after such a great meal. Krisch’s is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food in a welcoming atmosphere.

Love a classic old school cozy and warm vibe at this 1950's style eatery! Vintage photos on the wall and a framed menu from that era as well! The waffles, the cheeseburger 🍔, the Thanksgiving wrap were all fresh and delicious. The ice cream sundaes 🍨 for dessert were really yummy! The place is truly adorable and the servers are all helpful and sweet. Hopefully this place will be in business for another 75 years!!! 👍🙏👌☺️

Super cute place... heard the commercials and never been. Like an old fashion place, very nice. The staff was great, ice cream delicious. Nice portions. Didn't have the "food" just ice cream. I'd like to go back to try the regular menu items and have more ice cream! You will have to roll me out! October 2024: Went back and tried the food! Excellent! Had the 3 egg omelet, so good! Others in my party had that, and one had the burger. Excellent waitress, ice cream again, amazing. When out of town company comes to visit, this is now my go-to spot to impress!

Cute local luncheonette featuring homemade ice cream. I found the place by accident when we were shopping in the area and stopped in for lunch and ice cream sundaes. We loved the old-fashioned soda shop atmosphere offering table, booth, or counter service. Service is friendly. The menu was pretty extensive but we saved room for dessert. Caesar salad was fresh and delicious. Grilled cheese sandwich was a bit greasy and french fries just mediocre. By far the star of the menu is the homemade ice cream….all flavors are rich and creamy with a great selection. Whipped cream is freshly served. Lots of ways to mix up your sundaes and a fun challenge if you’re up for it - it’s called “the kitchen sink” and 10 heaping scoops of ice cream and toppings are served in an actual stainless steel sink. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Easy to see right off of Central Ave servicing Massapequa and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Moderately clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. A throwback to 1950's style dining. Family friendly and nice staff. Homemade Ice Cream with many Sundae Choices. Large portions. 2/21/26 Saturday morning service was unacceptable in every way. Watched the host chatting with the cook while at least 4 other people were doing who knows what. Arrived at 9:00 am sharp. 2 other customers besides us and 50 minutes later still no food. I felt bad for the waitress.She said if she could go back there and cook, she would. I'd like to leave as honest of a review as possible, highlighting the positives and negatives of my experience at this restaurant. I always out to highlight amazing restaurants and the things they do great, and sometimes not so great. Me and my friend planned a trip to visit this iconic restaurant. We called a week or two in advance to try and schedule a time to come do their food challenges that would be beneficial and not interfere with a possible busy time at the restaurant. We were told we didn't have to do that and could come in at anytime to do their challenges. I had a 3½ hour trip, and his was over 5. I started getting a little bout of food poisoning from a meal the day before. It was very mild so I continued as planned. Upon arriving at the restaurant we weren't greeted very kindly but things improved somewhat as time went on. Although not much attention was given to us by the staff, with very minimal stops by a our waitress. One highlight was, she actually took part of my 2lb Burger patty that was slightly undercooked back to the grill to cook a bit more. Otherwise my Burger was absolutely delicious, from the amazing homemade coleslaw to the loads of fresh vegetables, drenching in Russian Dressing, and the nice soft homemade bun. Eventually my friend completed his burger challenge and I got very close, but my stomach just wasn't having it with how I was feeling. Other patrons were very supportive and helped cheer us on along the way! This was definitely a highlight of the evening. I personally tip on service and not on price of items, so I left $5, as I felt that was fair for the service received. Next evening we returned, andwere told to go back to the same table as before. Before we had a chance to settle in the manager came over & said we're going to have to hurry things up because it's a very busy night. (we tried to avoid this, so a bit rude.) I was feeling 90% better at this point & felt confident with the challenge having beaten bigger ones in the past. Our waitress took our Kitchen Sink orders & started preparing them. With the busyness they actually came out quickly! Through out the challenge patrons were again super into it & cheering us on, & even subscribing to our YouTubes. Many of our friends have completed this already. These Ice Cream Challenge Sundaes/Sinks came out beautifully! Ice Cream, toppings, & homemade Whipped Cream were all amazing! The food at this restaurant is outstanding. 30 minutes in my buddy must have had a physical dairy issue (unaware of) that caused him to reverse his food without warning into his bowl/sink. Our waitress didn't show up very often to check on us. I recall a couple times asking for hot water & napkins, & she brought them. Almost done and at around 57:28 out 60 min, I made the final push to clean my sink and grab my victory! Finished with a few min to spare. Waiting a couple min for someone to confirm I finished. My stomach was not happy (still recovering) I tried my hardest to hold it in, but reversed minimally into the sink silently & covering my face. Owner almost instantly came over & sternly told us customers were complaining about us throwing up & we should go outside. Immediately after that another employee delivered our check, charging us for both! Even though I had eaten it under 60 min & no rule on holding time. Packed up & went to pay based on service, our treatment, & being charged even though I completed it. I only tipped $1, & the owner proceeded to name call & to leave & never come back. They have amazing food, but when it comes to management & whether they should be hosting challenges that sometimes have unfortunate outcomes. No. Owner said to get new hobbies, & we should be embarrassed by ourselves. We did nothing but try to attempt a challenge they offer. Even though I was wronged, I hope the best for the restaurant, but definitely be warned that you could have a issue with management at some point whether with seating or some other issue.

The workers at Krisch's refused to allow my neice and her friends to eat their ice cream in the shop because it was 45 minutes until closing. We were told to order the ice cream to go. Were celebrate her 16th birthday, and preferred too eat inside, since it was January. The kids went to an escape room nearby and then straight to Krisch's for ice cream afterwards. Imagine our disappointment when we were told that we couldn't eat there. We left and drove to a Cold Stone where we enjoyed our fill of delicious ice cream. Thanks Cold Stone!
