We stopped by this restaurant by chance, and the experience couldn't have been better. The cocido montañés comes in a casserole dish, and the scallops were excellent, as was the wine and the dessert, which was homemade rice pudding. Very good food and excellent service. Highly recommended place to return. We were two people, and the price was good.
The restaurant is on a busy road, but that doesn't detract from its value, given the undeniable quality of the service and the food. We ordered three dishes to share between two people, and each one was better than the last. High-quality ingredients, excellent preparation, and incredible flavor. I highly recommend it. We ordered the tomato with anchovy and Pasiego cheese, the fried squid, and the hake meatballs. For dessert, the apple tart tatin was delicious!
🍽️Review🍽️ We were sightseeing in the area and found this restaurant by chance while looking at local reviews, and it was a real success. As an appetizer, they served us olive oil, which I think was cold-pressed, and it was spectacular. I can tell you, we had to order more bread! 🤤 Also worth mentioning are their octopus and desserts.
Ii had a great food experience there yesterday. I didn't have a reservation done but a got a table near a love small window. I am vegetarian not veggan thought and I could have a delicious meal and an excellent rglass od red wine Ribeira Duero .
Highly recommended!!! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is top-notch. We went for dinner and ordered a tomato and burrata salad that was amazing, and a very good steak with potatoes. For dessert, we had cheesecake that was spectacular, unlike anything you usually find. The owner was very attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which made our experience even better. It's a beautiful and well-decorated restaurant.
What a great idea it was to come here! Such nice people, and how easy it is for the guests to feel at ease. The atmosphere is great, people keep coming in, and then you understand why. The food is wonderful. We were left wanting more because it looked amazing. The stews are a mess in the photos; you can't see how delicious they are, but I'd eat one of those every time I think about it. We ordered a cocido montañés and some caricas. A cheesecake for dessert. I don't know which one was better, but I'll take both! And the cheesecake is so, so delicious! We'll definitely come back!
Great traditional food for a reasonable price. We were recommended to go to this restaurant since we were in the area and we were not disappointed. We ordered two entrees, one main and a desert. Everything had great taste, specially the croquetas and the cocido. Portions are big, just be mindful. Service was very kind and the place itself it’s pretty small so call in advance to get a table. 58€ in total (with a couple of wine glasses and coffee). Recommended.
Highly recommend this restaurant. We chose it based on the other great reviews they have gotten and were just as happy with our choice. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and we really enjoyed each of the dishes we ordered. The tomates de Ucieda salad was wonderful, excellent rabas and hake main. Nice choice of wines too. We will be back for sure when next in the area.
A must place after (or before) visiting the sequoia forest nearby. Amazing tomato salads! Exquisite meatballs and bulls tail dish. Irresistible cheesecake. Also the team is super friendly and nice. Don't change!!
Amazing dishes. Everithing melt in your mouth!!!
Excellent!
Very nice staff! The food is lovely. We had the weekend menu with a dish of red beans and I had stuffed bell peppers as a second. The desserts are home made. Great selection of wines (but we had sidra)

We had a delicious mountain stew at a very good price. The portions were large, which is great for sharing dishes and trying several things. The apple tart was very juicy and served piping hot. The hake and prawn meatballs were good, but in my opinion, they didn't quite reach the level of the stew. They had a highchair, which is much appreciated when you're with babies, but we missed having a changing table in the bathroom. The service was friendly. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
We came based on good reviews and booked a table for lunch for four people on a Sunday three or four days in advance. There's no menu; everything is ordered from the menu. We ordered a couple of portions to share (borono and croquettes; the latter, we had to let them know, weren't fully cooked and were still cold), then each of us ordered a main course (tripe, ribeye steak, cachopín, and fish balls) and a dessert. It's worth noting that it took almost 45 minutes to bring out the first course of the entire meal. They were aware of this and without any further warning, but served us some tomato sauce with good oil. Later, the courses were served in a reasonable amount of time, without waiting too long between courses. The presentation of the dishes was very clean and thoughtful. Each one was prepared with care and was very tasty.
We had a very good meal. It's a small place, so we recommend making a reservation. The service was very good, and the waiters were very friendly. A noteworthy detail is that we hadn't seen part of the menu, as it was a daily suggestion, and although we had pre-ordered our orders, they gave us the option to change them. Of course, we didn't. The food was delicious, and of course, we give their cheesecake a special mention.
Pleasant surprise When I mentioned "Casa de Comidas" (Food House), I was thinking of a restaurant based on a daily menu, but that wasn't the case. The first and final impression is that of a charming place, adorned with fresh flowers. The products are prepared and carefully presented. Except for the octopus, I found the rest of the dishes to be good, especially the desserts. Everything was very clean, and the service was pleasant. The quality/price ratio was average. I would return.
I decided to go because of the positive reviews I'd read. The restaurant is small but cozy. Everything we ate was delicious, the tomato was spectacular! The staff were very friendly and attentive. In short, it didn't disappoint and I highly recommend it. The only downside is that some dishes are a bit pricey compared to other restaurants.
