HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Everything was delicious. For two of us, we had fried squid, mountain stew, and stuffed peppers. EVERYTHING was tasty, even the complimentary tapa was good. Generous portions at a good price. And to finish, a Caipirinha! 🍸 And the service was excellent too!
It's a restaurant with a pleasant and well-maintained atmosphere. The staff is friendly and professional; Alan and Lukas, in particular, stand out for their kindness and willingness to provide excellent service. The dishes are of good quality, with careful presentation and well-balanced flavors. Without a doubt, a highly recommended option for enjoying a good meal and attentive service.
IMPECCABLE from start to finish. A new team at Casa Segis with attitude, enthusiasm, and skill. The service is excellent from every member of the team, with special thanks to Lukas for his attention, advice, friendliness, and above all, his natural charm. Dishes as visually appealing as they are delicious on the palate—when things are done right, everything else falls into place… The atmosphere? Packed to the rafters, and the service was seamless, with everyone getting the attention they need. Highly recommended! We wish you all the best for the future, although there's no doubt you'll win over your customers… In short, we'll definitely be back. Thanks, guys!
It's a shame there aren't more stars, because it deserves them. We went for lunch, two of us with three dogs, and the first thing they did upon arrival was provide two bowls of water for them. The service was excellent, and the food was spectacular! They suggested several dishes, and they didn't disappoint. For starters, we had crispy prawns with aioli, and for the main course, a slow-cooked Tudanca beef rib with barbecue sauce, all to share, and it was delicious! You can tell everything is very well prepared and made with care and attention to detail. For dessert, we also ordered an apple tarte tatin with Maria cookie ice cream, also recommended, and it was delicious! And what can I say about the coffees... excellent and perfectly made. Without a doubt, a place to return to and keep trying new dishes. A must-stop if you come to or are passing through Cabezón de la Sal. We're from Asturias, and we left delighted.
Exceptional food. We ordered a tomato that needed nothing more than oil and salt to shine, braised beef cheeks that were the most tender we've ever had, and grilled squid with a perfectly cooked and flavorful egg. We didn't have dessert because there were two of us and we couldn't eat another bite, but we were definitely tempted. The staff provided impeccable service. The setting was very pleasant and the price very reasonable. I would definitely return and hope to do so again.
We were craving some good steak, and after a bit of Googling, we ended up there. It doesn't disappoint. It has a lovely terrace with a well-kept garden, plenty of space between tables, which is appreciated, and the waiters are very friendly and quick. The food was fantastic. We were looking for a good steak, and it lived up to expectations. For a starter, we ordered broad beans with foie gras, which were delicious (photo, we had already eaten). I recommend making a reservation because it fills up quickly. Highly recommended.
Mu rico to
Very close to Cabezón de la Sal, right on the main road, you'll find this well-maintained restaurant with a lovely terrace. It offers excellent, friendly, and attentive service, high-quality products, and very reasonable prices: local tomatoes, exquisite baby squid, Russian salad, fried squid, or simple eggs with potatoes. Highly recommended. Reservations are necessary in the summer.
A lovely restaurant with excellent produce. The service was very good at our dinner on the terrace. The squid rings, as their reputation suggests, were delicious, some of the best in the area. The tomato sauce tasted like tomato with quality oil. The salad reminded me of Andalusian recipes because of the chunkiness of the potato. My partner loved it. The cheesecake, slightly overcooked on top, was one of the most fluid you can find in this region. It's not one of the best I've eaten, but the cheeses used make a good dessert. When we return to the area, we will definitely return to the restaurant, even if it's just for those squid rings 😬
Two of us had dinner. We ordered off-menu local tomatoes with Picual olive oil and black salt, bonito tacos with pickled vegetables, and Tudanca beef sirloin. For dessert, we shared crispy fried milk with lemon ice cream. I can't even say it was better; everything was spectacular. The service was excellent, and the place was equally impressive. The price was very reasonable at €50 (drinks not included). Unbeatable.
As always, incredible!!! The terrace is now beautifully set up with awnings and heaters so we can continue to enjoy it. I'm posting some photos, let me know what you think!!! They use an oil that we liked so much I asked about it. I'll upload a photo of that too. I recommend booking in advance.
Excellent value for money. It offers an extensive menu featuring market-fresh produce, including vegetables, meat, and fish. In addition to the indoor dining room, it also has outdoor terraces that are very comfortable and pleasant when the weather is nice. Excellent service from the waitstaff. Restrooms are in good working order.
We went for a family lunch. It took 40 minutes to get our salad and mussels, while the table next to us, which had ordered at the same time and was even larger, was almost at dessert when our food finally arrived. Of the 10 mussels we ordered, only 2 were closed. We told the waiter, and he still gave us a dirty look. In short, we think they've changed management, because we didn't remember this place like this.
We were served a stew with very little seasoning; it was meant for three people, and we each got a tiny piece (we paid €32 each for the stew), a tomato salad with a very tasty tomato, some guilds, and a basic mushroom and ham scramble that didn't impress me. We ordered two desserts, for three of us: a very basic flan and a cheesecake.
We had a very disappointing experience a couple of days ago when we visited Casa Segis. We had made a reservation with three days in advance. I arrived there first like, an hour before our time, but I was surprised I wasn’t even offered drink. When I called the waiters, they looked the opposite way, and never approached me, like they were running away from the client! Then they took forever to attend us, while they got lost in apologies. The food was nothing to write home about. There’s a long way to go before they get to the minimum level of a nice restaurant experience.
Coffee ok. Service not good at all. Very unfriendly and even wanted to take a tip in the end by waiting to take the cash and returning with our change. Don’t go there.
