Our overall experience was fantastic, we had waiter Grayson and he was extremely informative, answered any questions we had and even asked the chef if he didn’t know. We came in for happy hour and had two appetizers, highly recommend the oyster nachos. They come as individual nachos, six to be exact, with the chipotle creama on top they’re delicious. They need no salt and are extremely savory and hearty. We also got the flash fried calamari and the marinara sauce needed salt, but overall was a really good combo of squid and okra maybe just needed a slice of lemon to round it all out. To drink we had a $5 margarita which was a great price and tasted good, not too limey. And the Day at The Lake which was like a tropical punch, very sweet and flavorful.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our Friday night dinner. Our waiter AC was outstanding! We both had a "pick your own" menu item. My Husband had Maui Maui and I had the catfish cooked style Oscar style with lump crab, red beans highly rice and loaded red potatoes with no sour cream. It was absolutely delicious. It was a busy night but everyone looked like that they were enjoying themselves. I highly recommend going to Rockfish for an enjoyable dinner.

Just came here for my birthday dinner. I'm amazed we haven't made it out here before. Daniel was our server. He was very knowledgeable and had recommendations and answers to any questions we had. His customer service was wonderful. We started off with the crab cakes and calamari. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. For the main course I had the ragin Cajun and my wife had the voodoo platter. The crawfish and snow crab were perfect. I highly recommend the nitro seasoning and garlic butter. We ended with the bread pudding, which was one of the best I had ever had. We will definitely be coming back! Update: Came back for my wife's birthday. Once again everything was fantastic. Grayson did great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us a free dessert for her birthday and this time they said they could add ice cream to the bread pudding. TO DIE FOR!!!

This might be my first time rating a 5/5 on a chain restaurant but Bret deserved it. He made us feel welcome the moment we stepped in. His service was efficient with likable personality. As a long time employee, Bret almost knew all customers by names and that told a lot. We were impressed. We ordered Volcano Shrimps, Blackened Salmon and Traditional Mussels, all delicious. An enjoyable meal, would surely return.

My family and had a great time tonight. Our waitress Maddie D was very sweet and provided us with great service. The hostess got us seated quickly with a packed house and everything we asked for was given quickly. The food was great we all had boils and enjoyed it greatly. Made for a great Family Valentines Night. We will be back for sure.

I had been wanting to try this place out as it is so close to me in distance. I went on my birthday. I had the shrimp & crab salad it was very fresh, including seafood. The service was outstanding! I told the waiter it was my birthday but keep it a secret! 🤫 For dessert 🍨 I had the New Orleans Praline Cream Brule it was the best Brule I ever had!💯❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏 Will I return? Absolutely 💯 I would highly recommend it! Oh, I forgot to mention my outstanding brule was on the house! Thank you!😘! Update: Today, Labor Day Rockfish had limited special for Labor Day selected Appetizers 50% off I ordered the Volcano Shrimp on bed of cabbage (raw) Absolutely 💯 Delicious! Also, I ordered the Calamari and okra. Unfortunately, the Calamari was overcooked and tough and chewy, not pleased at all! 😫

Always a great experience! Love the Calamari w/ Sweet Thai Sauce! Restaurant is always clean. Angie was our server and is always pleasant and helpful with menu suggestions, specials and overall amazing service. Fun seasonal decor is always a plus. We had dinner at this spot and had an excellent experience! We loved the fresh fish options where you can choose your style, sauce, and sides. The portions were generous, food tasted fresh, and the prices are some of the best you will find in McKinney. They had a $5 margarita special the night we went and they have daily happy hour until 7PM. It’s not fancy, but it’s a great spot for a low-key night out. Our server was friendly and helpful. Louisiana Native here Came to eat crawfish, the crawfish is fresh I can taste it. Ive eaten enough crawfish in texas that I can tell whether it’s fresh or frozen. Would have been 5 stars however the flavor profile< it was okay but its not the type of flavor you expect on crawfish. Tips for the chef: onion,celery, garlic oranges and lemons. We went last night because once again they had their $8.99 shrimp boil special. You can’t beat the value with 12 or so large shrimp a potato and corn. I like their “all in” seasoning which is a blend of butter/garlic and Cajun spice. My wife had the planked salmon, she said it was “good but not great”. They run some great specials so make sure to get on their text list. The service can be “spotty” when they are busy, but I always enjoy the food.

Food was good and the prices were fair. We went on a Saturday night a little after 8 the bar was crowded and super loud.I think some sort of party kinda killed the vibe. Our waitress was excellent and very friendly. I got the day at the lake drink it was pretty tasty not very strong. I would definitely get food to go from here again.

I really wish I could give this place a higher review as it is fairly close to where I live. However, I found what we had ordered was either too salty or too sweet. We had come during happy hour, and the drinks were all very enticing, however the mule and peach jalapeño martini were too sweet to enjoy. And I’m someone who likes anything quite sweet. The reason for the visit was for a birthday and my desire was to enjoy some seafood boil. I selected the “all in” sauce for the seafood boil, which consisted of garlic butter and Cajun seasoning, which sounded perfect for my liking, but was dreadfully salty. I had to eat my crab clusters without enjoying the sauce because of how salty the sauce was, and that there was no spice to the seafood boil either. The roasted jalapeño cream soup was actually probably the best thing that we had, it was flavorful and perfect amount per person in a cup. I would completely skip the Cajun pasta. There was no richness to the sauce and might as well have been called overcooked pasta with a butter sauce, and some protein on it. Even the sausages looked like hotdogs rather than andouille sausages. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we were kindly served a Keylime pie, which was also not too bad. Although the food was not very satisfying, the customer service was lovely and we were attended to very quickly.
