Located in Miami, Costco Food Court offers a convenient and satisfying dining experience within the popular warehouse store. Customers appreciate the exceptional value and efficient service alongside a selection of classic, crowd-pleasing options. The food court is known for providing a clean and organized environment, making it a welcome stop during shopping trips. Although reviews do not specifically mention food court items, the general appreciation for quality and value at Costco extends to the food court experience, making it a reliable choice for a quick and affordable meal.
Costco Food Court in Miami is praised for its great value, wide selection, and helpful staff. Customers appreciate the bulk buying options and exclusive brands. Some complain about overcrowding and rude staff members.
Tip: Go early, especially before 2pm, to avoid crowds in the fresh fruit and milk cooler sections.
Excellent place to save some money, look exactly like Sam's Club or BJ's, prices competitive and very good quality products.
To know it is to have a love/hate relationship with it. The products are top quality but very crowded.
Very reliable and you get lots of products. You plan to buy Egg/Milk but you will end up in spending $150 for each visit as they have so many lucrative things to buy.
Good Service, great gasoline price, near and clean gas station.... Variable home groceries and items at a reasonable competitive price, clean and organized store
It is good because you can buy almost any thing you want
Excellent as usually. Hight quality in products.
Costco is my twice a month stop store, I love to shop here because I get quantity and quality products at a great environment. Everyone is very nice and everything is always clean and organized. Plus there is always parking space available even though the place is always packed. Love their Kirkland products and the food section it's a must before you leave. We love the pizza and their ice- cream!!!! Over all a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ store
Found everything I was looking for at a reasonable price
Was faster than expected, there is a lot of personal in the store helping out.
Great location and great service Outstanding food choices
Cant miss with costco! This one was very clean, organized and easy to go around. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Leslie is the best she helped me while other two male employees didn’t, she took matters to her own hands and helped me move 3 heavy boxes. Leslie I can’t thank you enough you made my day better thanks again!
I always go here every time I visit Miami to stock up all necessities and most importantly wine and liquor for the trip. You can never go wrong with getting the liquor/wine at costco, always the best price and very good selections. I got lucky to score a nice set if 12 zodiacs XO cognac.
Extremely crowded but I guess it's because of the location. This costco is right in the mall so of course it will be busy. It was my first time there and I did expect it to be soooo busy. Other than that I found everything I needed and many things were on sale. If only Costco would accept HSA (health savings account) cards for their wonderful collection of over the counter vitamins and medicines. The store clerk advised me that the card would only work in the pharmacy only after my card have been declined 2 times.
My favorite place to do my groceries ! It’s amazing
It would be my favorite store if you could get the customers removed. Well organized, spacious, almost everything you need. Now they implemented the executive something experience from 9 AM to 10 AM so, it's the only hour that you can experiment a quiet purchasing trip.
I can always find everything in the quantity I need here. The clothing options are great too and they have a variety of shampoos. Kirkland brand items are great and their chickens are to die for (But my bias is towards the pizza). You find that a lot of the items tend to last you a long time it's worth the price :)
Awesome prices and great food items and very well organized. You will feel like you walked a good mile or so lol so make sure and wear comfortable shoes.
Costco consistently delivers when it comes to quality beef. Whether it's their USDA Prime steaks, ground beef, or roasts, everything is fresh, well-marbled, and full of flavor. The value is unbeatable—you're getting restaurant-quality meat at a fraction of the price. Perfect for grilling, meal prep, or a big family dinner. Plus, the bulk packaging makes it easy to stock up and freeze what you don't use right away. If you're a beef lover, Costco is hands down one of the best places to shop!
Super busy but you can get in and out quick!
Awesome staff team players keep up doing good job guys 👍 Just another day in Paradise 😜💯🇳🇮🇺🇸
Costco Wholesale is an excellent resource for everything. I love that I can also find dog food and pads. Prices are affordable. Wine selection is fantastic. And the gas station is the best!
Nothing beats Costco. This one really does get busy but that's been my experience at any Costco at this point in time. With grocery prices where they are, heck all prices, Costco remains a smart shoppers choice if you want to save by buying in bulk. I get my meal prep here and also their salmon is always a steal! I can't knock them for how busy they get but I love Costco.
I can’t say enough great things about the Costco Tire Shop team! My mother got a flat tire on her way to the airport, and we were in full panic mode thinking she was going to miss her flight. We pulled into Costco, and Dimitri, David, and Franky jumped into action immediately. Their customer service, urgency, and genuine care made all the difference in a stressful situation. Dimitri, David, and Franky—you guys were awesome. Thank you so much for going above and beyond! Highly recommend this tire shop to anyone who wants top-notch service.
So very happy with the purchase of my GE dishwasher 👍🏼 Bought it on a Friday and by the next Friday Hector had delivered it, installed and hauled away my old one exactly at the time scheduled. Hector called me forty minutes ahead of delivery to let me know he was on his way. He is courteous, knowledgeable, professional and very nice. Very pleased with the whole experience and very happy always with Costco’s professional employees! Ohhhh and it even costed me $100 less for the same dishwasher that I had been waiting for almost a month from Lowe’s. Costco you are my Pride & Joy 🤩💫✨🌟✨💫
Awesome products, and buying in bulk is a good way to minimize inflation impact. They seem to make a real effort to keep prices sort of under control, and they know how to attract more customers, it seems. Their deli could have some healthier, lighter dinner dishes, though.
Staff are great and helpful with lots of conversation. Great for gas. Prices are insanely fair. Great candy gift sets for doctor's offices. Of course, the roasted chicken is addictive. Today, I bought a neighbor 3 chickens.
OSTCO 5 stars! Outstanding appliance buying and delivery experience at Costco! I’ve been a Costco member for years and never bought major appliances there before. I have purchased a LG washer/dryer set in 2006 that lasted us until to day with out one repaired or a maintenance agreement. Also a full Samsung kitchen suite in 2022 from Home Depot. When our 10-year-old LG washer finally died and the dryer started acting up, repair quotes were ridiculous—just to diagnose the problem was $150–$400 (with the fee applied only if they could fix it). No thanks! I shopped around online and Costco had the clear best deal on the exact Maytag washer/dryer pair we wanted, plus an extra $100 off. Ordered Sunday night, and the website promised delivery by Wednesday. Sure enough, everything stayed on track—I even got a text with a 1:30–2:30 window, then a call Wednesday morning saying they were running early and could arrive at 12:00 if that worked. Perfect! The three-man crew showed up right on time, professionally removed the old units, and gave my wife and me plenty of time (20–30 minutes) to clean out 20 years of lint and junk. They installed everything flawlessly, tested both machines, and walked us through registering the warranty via text. True gentlemen the whole time—courteous, careful, and efficient. The new Maytag set works beautifully, and the entire process from ordering to installation was completely stress-free. Way better than my recent stories from family and friends experience. Costco just made it easy, affordable, and pleasant. Highly recommend them for big-ticket appliances! Thank you, Costco!
Customer service oriented. They have almost all the stuff you need and then some! The ladies in the clothing area are very helpful. Today I went to the tire dept for tire rotation. I made an appointment for 5pm. Received excellent customer service. Tire rotation, balance warrantee and nitrogen tire inflation. All included in the warrantee $00 I love Costco. Thank you so much. Happy Holidays! See you soon!
Clean and organized. Fresh fruit section and milk cooler are the most crowded after 2pm, so get there first and then continue with your purchases. Great offers ecerywhere so check in detail their products to find the one suitable for you. Always go to their selections of gluten free snacks and bread (their prices are the best!) Wine selection my favorite and don't forget their roasted chicken @ $5 - A steal! Before leaving- fuel your car gas price is unbeatable!
Costco consistently delivers excellent value through its wide selection of high-quality products at competitive prices. The bulk packaging and exclusive brands help save money on everyday essentials. The membership perks, including access to discounted gas, pharmacy services, and travel deals, add even more value. Stores are generally clean and well-organized, although they can get very busy, especially on weekends. Customer service is efficient, and return policies are hassle-free. Overall, Costco is a great option for families and individuals looking to buy in bulk and maximize savings.
Our next family adventure take us to Costco Wholesale located at 7795 W Flagler St #01 Miami with a category 4.6 and more than 9,204 reviews this huge store have everything you need for your Home, groceries, cars even for travel in vacations. I going to install new tires for my van transportation and the service was excellent, faster & professional at the time that happened and walking around the place, prices very acceptable and the quality the best. High recommend if you like buy at Costco.
This Costco is exceptionally busy, and parking can be a challenge—you may occasionally need to park at the nearby Home Depot and walk over. Despite the crowds, the service and efficiency remain on par with other Miami locations, and the product quality is consistently excellent.
Decided to try out this Costco because we just finished eating lunch nearby. The parking lot was the biggest detriment, but otherwise it was good to shop in this one because of the variety of products and inventory. Super busy on a Sat afternoon. Plenty of samples to go around. Purchased laundry detergent, extra virgin olive oil and bottled water here.
Impressive assortment of products and quantities.
Cosco is always packed at the parking lot. But is is the place to do groceries without doubt!
The gentleman Reyvwas super nice and helpful
I was definitely the minority here, I don't need to learn another language other than English to communicate in AMERICA! But I always try to use costco where I live because they have some good deals
Generally I love shopping at Costco, especially this one close to Flagler St in Miami. The environment is good, their products are great and well priced, and their checkout process is the fastest of any store I have been to. They are corteous and efficient. The only reason I do not give them the five stars is because they have either modified some of the products I used to love, or just stopped making them or selling them, which made me have to get a membership at another wholesale club as well, to be able to find some of those products but overall, Costco remains my favorite wholesale club.
If it’s your first time here, then you need to know about membership card. Costco Wholesale offers great value for its membership price. Compared to other stores, it provides significant savings on bulk purchases. A must-visit for those looking for quality products and competitive prices.
Workers are helpful.. but population of this Costco (not nice) … customers I feel are very entitled - but nothing to do with facility
Great place to buy! It helps a lot. It isn’t as cheap as you would hope it to be but you just need to learn to buy some things in there and some others at another place! Also, lines on the weekends can be crazy! Personally I don’t like the food the sell by the cashiers, the quality is not that good.
Costco Wholesale in Miami is bulk heaven with a side of crowd chaos 🛒😅 — killer prices on mega packs and gas 💸⛽, but memberships just went up, early-bird perks are pay-to-play, and rush hour means aisle traffic jams 🚗🙄. Great deals if you plan smart and dodge weekends.
Lifelong Costco member but lately the food quality has decreased. They seem to be keeping some food items on the shelf when they are close to their expiration date, ex cheeses. They accept returns but it’s a hassle to make a return when the lines are incredibly long all the time. Also, the rewards system for members has some flaws as you have to request the check. It doesn’t seem to be automatically sent.
Overall, my review is good. The only serious issue that I have with some of your products is with the bag of two baguettes that I bought a couple days ago. The quality of that bread is awful and I think the customers don't want to trought away the money and the people that work at the bakery doesn't deserve been seing as people that elaborated very low quality bread rancid and stale. I hope they take note of this issue and offer a good quality of baguettes.
Its always interesting seeing how each location in different states have different merchandise to accommodate to the local population. Was able to pick up some goods i wouldn't be able to get in alabama.
I’m giving this Costco four stars because, overall, it’s a useful store with good prices, but there are some issues that really need attention. The main problem is the foot traffic and layout. No matter what day or time I go, it feels overcrowded, and there’s barely enough space for people to walk comfortably. Certain aisles and sections get completely blocked, and it becomes stressful to navigate. Another major issue is the customer behavior at this specific location. The demographic that shops here can be extremely disrespectful. Even when you politely ask someone to move so you can pass, people will yell at you, curse at you, or act aggressively and the employees just look around like nothing is happening. There should be more control, clearer walkways, and stricter rules to manage the flow of traffic, because it can get chaotic. There was even a day when I needed to quickly buy food for elderly people I take care of, and the trip took way longer than it should have simply because people blocked the aisles and wouldn’t move. In an emergency situation, that’s incredibly frustrating. As for the store itself, it’s pretty good. I have the basic membership, and most of the time the selection is solid. However, they do often run out of certain items or remove products from the shelves entirely, which forces me to shop elsewhere. Overall, this Costco is okay and gets the job done, but the crowd control and customer environment definitely need improvement. If those issues were fixed, it would easily be a five-star location.
NOT BETTER OPTION THAN COSTCO WHILE BUYING WHOLESALE!! Service - 4 Ambience - 4.5 Selection - 5 In my opinion Costco beats up the rest when it comes to most of bulk shopping. Of course, you can’t buy everything in bulk, that’s not smart, but for those items that make sense in your household (varies from household to household based on consumption patterns, number of family members, etc), you will end up with savings, that’s for sure. In addition to the money you are saving, Costco stands out for other great add-ons, such as their no-questions-asked return policy(guaranteed return within 90 days), extended manufacturer warranty (additional year), great quality products, outstanding food court options, etc. Any Costco store could get overly packed during the weekends, I personally avoid it during these days. It’s a struggle from finding parking to checkout the items in your shopping cart. I highly recommend you come in a weekday in the mornings or after 5-6 pm, you will find a decent traffic but manageable. As we are transitioning into technology more and more, my recommendation to either this or any other Costco store is to set up digital directories around the store. Not all stores have the same configuration, often times products are placed at odd locations, etc. Having a directory or at least something could be done in the app to make the experience smoother. I remember back in the days when you could find Costco employees walking around and you could ask. That’s non-existing these days. No doubt their service used to be much better and they could do better to improve it. My favorite products from here are wines (so many options), cheeses, cleaning and home products, supplements, Greek yogurt (my favorite), pet food, chicken. Thanks Costco, for 17 years of great experiences.
Not enough lines open for checkout for a Friday afternoon. Employees were great but management should've noticed customer wait time sooner.
I was in Costo with my daughter last night, and there were two dogs, which my daughter is very allergic to. Now she is on medication, and with very bad rashes. I do not think this should be allowed in public spaces, as it completely overlooks the needs of others. I have nothing against dogs, but I believe allowing this, with no consideration for the health of others, is a complete disrespect. Just like it isn't allowed for people to smoke inside your establishment, for the concerns of others, animals should be no different. I urge Costco to please do something about this; there is no reason I have should have my daughter on medication and with rashes on her face, due to her severe allergies to dogs, because I went to buy something at your store.
This Costco has fresh fish and some products I don’t see at other locations. But the staff is rude and it’s always overcrowded. Makes the Pembroke Costco feel like heaven.
Be advised that the Costco staff here are rude. The front lady at the door with blond hair does not let in emotional support animals. She also does not let you do shipt or insta cart orders since you don't have a membership. She only lets one person at a time with a Costco membership. She has done this on several occasions. This blond lady a little bit older is very rude, you need to hire other people or put someone else in the front. She does not respect others. Is very rude to other customers myself included.
Clearly, people are obsessed with this place, I don't know if it's because of the social media hype or the supposed promotions. So I know many won't like my opinion. Speaking of the food, it's expensive, quite expensive. The portions are so large (compared to other clubs) that you'd need a huge pantry at home. Cleaning and laundry supplies are similarly priced to other clubs, and I can't comment on electronics because I haven't bought any here. You need to know the best time to go, otherwise you won't find parking despite the enormous parking area. There are too many people walking around, practically bumping into each other. The cashiers work at a frantic pace, as if they're being pressured to work at excessive speed. Based on my experience at several clubs, this is the last one I would visit.
a fire hazard if it's raining because people in the front don't want to get wet so they just block the exit and the employees do nothing.
One of the worst Costco experiences in the country. Went on a Thursday and it was packed wall to wall. Can’t imagine what a weekend would be like. Wouldn’t let me redeem the executive member coupon without getting in a separate line with the only supervisor working, delaying the trip another 20 minutes. If you like Costco and are visiting from elsewhere, it is serviceable. If this is your closest store, don’t get a membership.
Always packed, long lines ro pay and to exit the place even on a Tuesday at 2pm.
Food court is disorganized. Called ahead for a pizza order and waited 30 minutes at the counter. Do better.
The worst Costco warehouse I’ve ever seen. It was my first time visiting this store. This store definitely needs new leadership or management to get things back on track. Customer service was extremely slow, as if the staff weren’t considering the long lines of waiting customers. Shoppers seemed careless, often leaving carts scattered around instead of returning them to the proper place. The parking lot was chaotic and poorly managed, with carts left everywhere. Overall, the store felt disorganized and the customer service was disappointing. I hope Costco takes customer complaints seriously and addresses these issues.
The parking at this Costco is horrendous! Everyone is fighting to park. Too many people here they need to come up with a better strategy. Wouldn't go back to this location...
“I’ve always been a loyal Costco fan, but my recent visits have been disappointing. The overall experience has significantly declined, particularly at the Miami location. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered rude employees who seem disengaged and unhelpful, which is not what I expect from Costco’s usual standards. Additionally, the lines are unbearably long, making the shopping experience frustrating and time-consuming. I hope these issues are addressed soon, as I’d love to see this location return to the high-quality service Costco is known for.”
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went to Costco to shop groceries and return just a jogger. At the entrance, Maria from Customer Service stopped me and said I couldn’t go inside because I had the pant with me. I even explained that I had changed my mind and wasn’t going to return it, that I only wanted to shop, but she still refused to let me enter. Denying entry to a paying member over a single item was unnecessary, unreasonable, and very disappointing. This experience made me feel unwelcome, and it’s not what I expect from Costco
Some employees at the cashier’s area are very rude and loud. When they’re calling customers to pay they are not polite and don’t treat older people with kindness and respect. Specially an older lady that is supposed to help those paying at the self pay area but she is the worse employee I ever seen, she needs some customers service training.
The experience I had yesterday at the Tire Service Center of Costco in Flagler was extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my story. I took my vehicle there to have a tire inspected, as it showed an evident crack, indicating poor quality (I have attached photos and a video as evidence). Despite assurances from the customer service counter staff that the tire would be replaced under warranty, I was surprised to receive a bill with a charge of $180. I was told that the 40% discount applied to the new tire was considered part of the "warranty," suggesting that these tires are not covered for manufacturing defects. This interpretation of the warranty is misleading and evasive, as it fails to take responsibility for the obvious flaw in the tire I presented. It's worth noting that the tire in question is a Bridgestone Ecopia HL 422, with a 50,000-mile warranty. After discussing my dissatisfaction, I ended up paying $130, but additionally, they installed a tire with a very different tread pattern from the other 3 tires. Given this unsatisfactory experience, I intend to file a formal complaint with Bridgestone regarding the lack of quality in their product. It's crucial to highlight that had I not detected the tire issue in time, I could have faced a potentially fatal risk on the road.
If I could leave 0 stars I would, the girl who’s at the door receiving customers is extremely rude and so is the manager
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience at one of your locations flager to be especific. My sister, who is a Costco member, forgot her membership card during our visit. While she was in line to request a temporary pass, I decided to order food in the meantime. Unfortunately, we encountered an employee named Karen who treated us unprofessionally. She assumed we were not cardholders and followed us despite our explanation that my sister was in line to obtain her pass. Instead of handling the situation with courtesy, she spoke to us in an unprofessional and rude manner, insisting that we could not purchase food without a membership card and essentially telling us to leave. I understand and respect Costco’s policies, including the recent changes regarding membership verification. However, I believe that employees should be trained to handle such situations with professionalism and respect. This experience was frustrating and left us. After this incident, we decided that we will no longer be investing in a Costco membership. We expected better customer service and professionalism, and this experience has made us reconsider our loyalty to the company.
The optician's staff is incredibly inefficient. Today I went to buy my frames, and both the lady and the man ignored me and refused to help me. It's a shame that such a good market has such people working there who aren't even capable of returning a greeting.
Never buying chicken here again. Quality control for poultry is abysmal. Chicken that is marked to expire in a week or two is consistently rotten and foul smelling upon opening. I’ve had to go back three times because of this, and this is the fourth today. I’m just tossing the chicken, because I can’t be bothered to go back again.
If I could rate this Costco less than 1 star, I would. My experience at this location has been consistently poor, but today (1/20/25 at 4 PM) was the final straw. The customer service, from start to finish, is unacceptable, from the chaotic parking to the dismissive attitudes of staff. Today, Maria, the greeter at the entrance, refused to let me enter the store despite my explanation. I was only there to drive my mom, who is a member and was already inside shopping. My mom was in the freezer section when this occurred, but Maria insisted that she come to the entrance to show her membership card, even though I clearly stated I was not making any purchases. While I understand Costco’s membership rules, there is a way to communicate policies with courtesy and empathy, especially in a customer service role. Maria lacked these basic skills, making an already frustrating experience worse. This incident, combined with previous negative encounters at this location, has led me to take my business elsewhere. Today, I drove my mom to Sam’s Club instead, where the staff was professional and respectful. I will not allow my mom to spend her hard-earned money in a place that treats its customers so poorly. To the customer service VP and store manager: I urge you to prioritize training and development for your employees. Teach them how to handle situations with professionalism and tact. A little preparation goes a long way in creating a positive experience for customers. As for me, I am done with this location. I sincerely hope Costco considers moving more of its business online because dealing with untrained, rude staff makes AI interactions far preferable
I went to this Costco today, while trying to explain a problem to the manager, her voice got louder, she almost tried to blame me for the problem I was trying to explain with an extremely angry attitude. I honestly couldn't understand how someone who is so rude and has a very harsh attitude towards customers could be a manager, I've been going to this business almost three days a week for ten years and this is the first time I've encountered such a rude, irritable employee who can easily raise her voice.
This place is a nightmare. Always ridiculously packed with the most inconsiderate people on the planet leaving their shopping carts all over the place. Time to double your membership fees to price people out
Great prices, but the attitude of the staff here is as low as the prices.
I come to this Costco all the time. I did not realize that they opened the store earlier for executive card members. The person at the door was very rude and told me to exit the store. First time I receive this trestment at a Costco store, and will think twice before coming here.
This location is always making things harder for the customer. They moved the convenient self check out as far away from the food court so if you’re ringing yourself out and your only choice is to exit or walk all the way back a block into the warehouse to order your food and go back out. How about putting it in the middle or back to where it was? I give the manager the feedback and his response is “ that’s how they do it in the Kendall location and it’s better for the business” oh wow! So not what’s best for the customer which is the one keeping you in business? I’ve been a loyal executive member and Costco you and your employees in this location don’t cease to disappoint.
Today I went shopping there was no parking and my husband was looking for parking and I ask the men that was at the door that if I can use the bathroom he was so mean he said I need membership yes we have I said my husband is looking for parking space I had a really bad experience going there🥲😢 why people are mean is not his restroom is for the customers 😢👎
Went today to this location with my service dog. I was not allowed entrance because she was in a carrier instead of a leash. My service dog is a small chihuahua and I suffer from blackouts. She senses before I’m going to pass out, and tells me so I can lay/sit down safely. The lady at the door denied me entrance even though I told her she was a service dog and I had paperwork. She was very rude even though I tried explaining to her several times my situation, but she kept denying me entrance. She kept saying that she needed to be on a leash. Again, she’s a small dog and Costco is a very large store with many people and I did not want her to be trampled. Very disappointed that this store does not train their employees on how service animals work/help. Won’t be going to this location anymore.
It was my first time coming to this location , i was going to meet with my friend inside of the costco and this lady denied me access inside based on my appearance or my race not sure , then she asked me for a membership and she rush to denying me accessing because I did not have a membership. I told her that makes no sense and she was being mean for no reason, then she start to cursing in spanish and show me the finger . Terrible experience I won't come here again and strongly recommend people to do not go to this location
The worst customer service from Manny, who decided to charge us on our credit card for an amount not asked or approved by us. Manny thinks it proper to question a customer's memory and print out random papers that have no info to again question a customer's word and recollection of events. Crazy super unprofessional and arrogant. Rather go anywhere else knowing these actors work here. No integrity. Horrible
Do not recommend, bad parking lot, the store looks like garbage, I believe it is the management. Visit some stores out of state, much better all aspects.
Costco has me disappointed, they haven't given me my business card refund for 2 years. I've been to the store 6 times and they don't give an answer. Honestly, I think it's incredible
Everything was great until you had to deal with the store staff. They were all very rude, from the girl who does the memberships to the doorman. They should invest in training.
Piece of crap! (Sorry to people for the bad wording) They are open since 9 am, but only for “Executive members”. If you’re not, they refuse your entry until 10. They are forcing customers to expend more money in an unwanted membership. Disappointed of this disrespectful “service”.
Formal Member Complaint: Review of Exclusive Early Operating Hours Date: November 26, 2025 Formal Complaint Regarding Unequal Access During Opening Hours for Executive vs. Regular Members Dear Costco Wholesale Management, I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding the current policy that grants Executive members access to the warehouse one hour prior to the posted opening time for all other membership tiers, including Gold Star and Business members. While I appreciate and value the overall benefits of my Costco membership, this specific operational policy creates an unfair and inequitable shopping environment. By allowing a select group of members to shop for a full hour before others, the policy effectively disadvantages the majority of paying members who adhere to the standard opening times. The primary issue is the depletion of stock and the availability of high-demand items, particularly fresh produce, bakery goods, and limited-run promotional items. By the time the warehouse officially opens to regular members, the most desirable or essential items are often already depleted, forcing us to deal with reduced selection or entirely missed opportunities. Furthermore, this policy shifts the initial crowd rush, meaning regular members arrive to already crowded and shopped-through aisles, instead of being among the first patrons. All members, regardless of their tier, pay an annual fee for the privilege of shopping at Costco. While Executive membership warrants extra benefits (like the 2% reward), those benefits should not come at the direct expense of the experience and product availability for other paying members. I urge Costco to review and reconsider this policy immediately. A fairer solution would be to maintain a consistent opening time for all members or, at the very least, cap the early entry window to a brief period (e.g., 15 minutes) for expedited shopping, not a full hour of exclusive access. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback and for your commitment to ensuring a fair shopping experience for all your valued members. Sincerely, A Concerned Regular Member Irene Herrera
I have been a loyal Costco member for many years and shop at your stores regularly, at least once a month. Part of what I’ve always appreciated is being able to arrive at 9:00 AM, as listed online, to avoid the heavy crowds. However, during my most recent visit I was stopped at the door and informed in front of everyone that I could not enter because I am not an Executive Member. I was told this policy began on September 1st, but I received no prior notification. To make matters more frustrating, the store’s online information still reflects a 9:00 AM opening time with no disclaimer that this applies only to certain membership levels. This lack of communication led to a wasted trip and an embarrassing experience at the entrance. At the very least, there should have been a grace period during the first month of this change, or an update to the hours online so members like myself would not be misled. Now they have lost a customer all together, if that makes profitable sense to them then so be it. See screenshot bellow for hours that are posted online.
