The Glasshouse Cafe offers a pleasant dining experience primarily due to its location within Fairchild Gardens, especially the butterfly habitat view. While some find the food good but not amazing, the atmosphere and friendly staff are consistently praised. Some find it pricey.

Food was okay overall, flavors were good but not amazing. Staff were friendly and service was fast. It is a really nice place to eat because it's outer walls are part of the butterfly garden.
Spending the morning at Fairchild Tropical Garden and we stopped at the Glasshouse Cafe for a bite to eat. The inside is very nice, comfortable seating and A/C, but we decided to eat outdoors and enjoy the beautiful day. Ordered 3 sandwiches, 1 salad, & 3 mango smoothies. Everything was delicious, the smoothies very flavorful and refreshing... Cost was a little pricy for what it was (came out to +/- $89), but the service was good... Still giving 5 Stars
Very pleasant, freezing, full of light, view over butterflies and flowers, nice food from Le Basque
Great experience. Loved the butterfly gardens

Great vegan tacos and amazing vegan popsicles
Best cheeseburger I've ever had
Delicious!! The popsicles are so good
Delicious food in a wonderful setting with views to then butterfly garden
Have not yet eaten inside but the food during the day to takeaway is excellent
Great cafe in a great park. Deffo a good rest stop while in the gardens.
You can see the Butterflys while you eat so Beautiful
Nice cool oasis un the middle of the gardens, beautiful view of the butterfly garden
Very good food choices And very courteous people
Food and cafeteria turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.
Food was good and butterfly garden Sorrounds it!
food was excellent & love watching the butterflies
It is part of wings of tropic. So you can watch the flying butterflies from the cafe....
Thanks for the good coffee and ice cream!
Good place spend time with Good air and Nice jardin.
Food was ok mango smoothie was good
Delicious food. Theme park prices.
Beautiful cafe with truly unique atmosphere.
Expensive and limited, but adjacent to the butterfly enclosure.
There food and the service was great
From coffee to wraps to vegan options and vegan gelato this place had it all. Bartender on site today with live music too! Definitely returning soon!
Very nice restaurant! It has a nice and peaceful feeling. It’s a great cafe to go for brunch or tea with a friend.
Wonderful salad, comfortable chairs and great view of the butterfly garden. The kids had a wonderful time.
Lovely dining area overlooking the butterfly house. Great place to cool off and have a delicious, healthy drink and lunch.
Food was great, and beautiful scenery, eating inside, you can see the butterfly gard, gorgeous.
It's a nice place for lunch while visiting Fairchild Gardens. People are friendly and food is good.
Nice people and the most beautiful flowers around you at the park. You desire more? Take a look at the butterfly house, pure beauty..
They have a nice little variety of lighter solids and sandwiches. They also offer beer, prosecco, and wine.
Beautiful place for respite and a quick snack! While enjoying the butterflies at a distance.
Excellent food, great view of butterfly area, clean, good service
Great restauant to have a casual lunch while you enjoy a break at the botanical garden
Great food and a great atmosphere. A bit pricey but considering the location it was relatively reasonable.
Right next to the butterfly garden. Awesome eats. Healthy food too.
The food here is really good. I always order the chicken club sandwish. I am addicted!
Good food and service for a park. Prices are reasonable too
Great place for a quick snack or lunch, very good sandwiches too!
Glasshouse Cafe & Restaurant– beautiful place, avocado toast is sooo good! 😋
Hearty meals that satisfy appetite while exploring Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. Modern yet unique ambiance paired with the incredible Butterfly Gardens. Lunch and a show!
I got to this café almost everyday because I'm an intern and let me say it is great! The service in so wonderful, especially from Rita M! She is an amazing woman. Thank you!
Great for light breakfast or lunch. Located in Fairchild Gardens and attached to the butterfly garden. Very nice to sit inside with a/c and watch the butterflies or outside and admire gardens. Very casual.
The indoor seating area looks out into the butterfly conservatory! The food is basic but delicious. Lovely break in the a/c
I love the customer service, the food, the ambience. Can't wait to go back! The fact that they have GF dishes is a plus. My sister enjoyed the tacos!
Food was ok but while you eat you can enjoy butterflies flying around in a glass atrium. Nice park to visit. Lots of Orchids.
The Glasshouse Cafe has plenty of seating with the back wall of windows overlooking the butterfly habitat. The habitat stretches along the entire back wall, and is filled with trees, other butterfly attracting plants, butterflies and humming birds. Very beautiful! The food is really good but a little over priced. It's definitely worth a visit. Service = 3/5 stars.
Located at Fairchild Gardens, a convenient watering hole with butterflies outside the glass windows. We had a sandwich spread, provided for a group of orchidists, so I do not know pricing. Plenty of room and pleasant atmosphere.
Outstanding and affordable choice set in the butterfly house.

I had never eaten here before but I was at the Aroid Festival and we decided to give it a shot. My friend and I both ordered the club sandwich and chips and it was very good. Fresh ingredients, prepared the way I asked, and the cashier/ server was friendly and polite. A little pricey, but good food and obviously great scenery.
Cute cafe.we didn't eat here. But our walking guide recommended going to the cafe because you can also look at the butterflies flying in the conservatory. There is also a chihuly glass hanging from the ceiling in the middle..
We were there in an event day so it was quite crowded. A little confusing about where to order and then where to pick up the food but the mango gazpacho was excellent.

Great food nice setting
Healthy and delicious food. Portions were a bit smaller than I would like.
View of the butterflies is great, price is a little up.
Beautiful spot. Food is ok
Nice setting. Food is standard cafeteria
Hot dogs 🌭where good and there mango sherbet was really good
Too pricey but the food tastes good.
Very good Club sandwich with orange sauce.
A cool respite from the sun! Decent food!
Inside Fairchild Botanical Gardens. Ordered the tuna and was surprised it was raw. Was expecting something a little different. Besides that it is local to sit outside or inside. Beautiful surroundings!
Food was good but over priced as would be expected at this venue. I just wish they would throw in a pickle and/or chips with their sandwiches (they are small).
Very clean, good air conditioning, spacious food okay ( sandwich ) salad and hotdogs ok too I do recommend it after a long walk.
Beautiful cafe. Food is good but they need to to have more variety of food. Staff are ok.
Great food. A little bit on the pricey side for quality but a good amount.
The observation type view of the Butterfly garden is priceless, and an oasis on a hot day for a cool drink and a snack.
You get on the line to order and they buzz you when it's done and you sit outdoors in the shade eating some delicious things like salmon with avocado and radish herb mayonnaise
The mango chicken salad was very good and there w was enough for another meal.
The Fairchild is a great visit, and food at the Cafe is good. Hummus was a bit bland, and prices are a little high for a self service format, but a good choice is you're hungry at Fairchild on a non-festival visit
Very good. I asked for the turkey sandwich, was a triple. Delicious. And a pasta pesto salad. I would prefer another kind of pasta salad. You can eat this between 2 persons.
May be pricey, but the food is good and one has to remember that it all goes to support the beautiful gardens that we all enjoy. This would be a fantastic venue for a wedding, anniversary or other gathering!
Delicious food for a fair price. Kind staff. Spacious and comfortable dining room with a beautiful view of the garden.
I enjoyed the lobster roll, I thought it was a little overpriced until I saw the quantity and quality of the lobster withing the sandwich. My wife had the grilled cheese... But the views of butterfly's and hummingbirds flying around in the pavilion was very relaxing !
Decent portions for the meals served here while exploring the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The inside seating area of the cafe is very large and spacious which is a plus. It's got pretty chilly A/C which helps, especially when you're chasing your kids around in the hot and humid tropics of the garden.

You don’t come for the food. It’s a respite from the heat. Best part is the wall of windows to view the butterfly house. Just get a drink and sit and watch them fly by.
Had the turkey and avocado sandwich. It was dry a d almost tasteless.

Good for a snack as you savour the gardens
Nice view, bland cafeteria food
Just cafe small bites. Great area to rest next to the butterfly area.
Love Fairchild but needs better food options.
The place is clean, beautiful views, and the decor is great, food it's good a little bit overpriced but the place is worth it to see
Very nice and tranquil but food isn't worth it. No freshness in the taste. Service is okay.
Shouldn't be advertised on Maps as a regular cafe. It's not open to the general public as it's inside a botanical garden or something similar. I thought I was going to a cafe but after parking far away and walking into some unknown main entrance I was informed that there's a few just to enter the grounds and that's the only way to access the cafe. Why this is on Maps I don't understand.
This cafe has very good food and is the only place at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens where you can get fresh food. I have been here many times and I can recommend either the grilled cheese, Caesar salad, or the croque monsieur. The downside to this place is that the food is just really expensive, an example would be the grilled cheese (it’s delicious, but it’s just cheese between 2 slices of bread) being $8.
Nominally priced blank food, you'll be better off bringing your own food or come filled up. We got chef salad 🥗, and soba noodle, they both were just OK, had it as we were very hungry, didn't even finish as can't eat much of flavorless food. Mango gazpacho was very tasty.
I came to Fairchild this past weekend with the family I babysit for. We came for the Jurassic Garden, which was great. We stopped to get something to eat at the cafe and it good. But we were getting ready to leave around the time the Gardens close. I went up to the window to ask for another straw and tried to order another smoothie and the lady told me only sodas from the cooler. Then the mom of the boys went up to ask for a box for the half a sandwich and the lady wouldn’t even open the sliding window to hear what she had to say. We tried to explain we only wanted a box but she ignored us and acted like she didn’t understand. Finally she brought it out the side door and placed it on top of a trash can and came back and said she put it over there. I understand they were getting ready to close but it was very rude. That’s not how you treat people that have spent money to get into the gardens and then spent money on lunch.

Expensive, $17 sandwich plus tax, forced 18% tip, total $21.

Weekend menu low quality for the price we paid. Not going back
Waste of money. Food is cheap quality, doesn't worth to spend time and money.
The food was not bad although they did not have some items, specifically the hummus and the garden taco which I wanted. It was the attitude and lack of customer service that was surprising. We were kept waiting and no one bothered to apologize or say they v would take care of us. When we went to pick up our food, the guy preparing the food was also not polite. It is such a nice place to sit and eat but I am not sure I would go back .

Was not clean and quiet expensive for that what i got it looks dirty sorry when I say that but it was like that
Bad bland food. Overpriced. I asked for water they gave me a cup with ice and directed me to the water fountain...uuuum ghetto. Get it together people.
I ordered the food, paid and 35 minutes later they told me they never got my order even if they gave me a buzzer. I had to do a charge back to get my money
Do not have the Turkey sandwich for $12. It is 2 paper thin slices of Turkey and a few paper thin slices of avocado on tasteless sour dough bread. I was extremely dissatisfied.
World class garden with Costco small frozen microwave pizza on paper plate for 20 bucks. Joke. Absolute waste of time to eat there.
The atmosphere is nice, the food is ok, but the service was horrible. We were there December 28th, for lunch. The cashier lady was terribly rude. My daughter politely asked what the creamy potato soup had and the lady looked upset for having to answer that. I asked her if she could ask somebody and she was calling but she looked very irritated that we asked that. In the end we bought the soup and a wrap because we were hungry. Also, she never told us where to get the food so we sat there waiting and we went to the cashier and didn't see any food and again I asked her where to get the food and again she looked like we were inconveniencing her and people in line told us where to get it. Terrible service! What could be a great memory for us ended up being a bad moment for the terrible experience with a gratuitous angry demeanor.
