I went there twice and tested like real Japanese shaved ice! I really love this place a lot! I wish there is this vender in Ft. Myers.

They have really good shaved ice. It may sounds unfamiliar to Americans since it is something originated from Asian. We don't have much milk in summer so we use ice instead. Try the strawberry or mango flavor

New style kakigori done nicely. So pretty. I liked that this was natural fruits has a surprise cream in the middle, good flavor balance. Not sweet just right. I had the Goku was awesome. Half Passion Half Blackberry. Put extra gummy bears on top ! Good price point. Will come back again.

This is my fav place in Design District . I look forward to chatting with the owner and having my treat. Friendly place. I’m hooked on the Tiger Tempura flavor. Others that are must trys is the dulce brownie passion mountain CHOKO s’mores mango milk . My plan is to try the whole menu !

Love Japow! The Strawberry Daifuku flavor is exceptional. One the best shaved ice I've ever had. It's so delicate, creamy, and delicious. The quality of the chocolate, the fresh strawberries , and mini mochi take it over the top. It's nice they use natural flavors. Loved the service. We had no idea what to order and the lady there helped us figure out what we should try by asking us if we preferred fruity or creamy flavors or both. We decided chocolate and strawberries would be best, and she was right! Best choice! This place is special. Whenever in Design District will be back for sure.

Excellent shave ice. More on the Gourmet side. Natural syrups, no bs. It melts in your mouth, no crunchy crsuhed Ice. Excellent toppings. I want a pint of the espumita cream. I Recommend the Goku and the Coconut Milk one

We ordered the passion fruit mountain and it was so delicious. A perfect, refreshing dessert for our afternoon stroll. The cream on it was so good too! Definite recommendation!

Where has this been all my life?!! OMG this is truly a hidden treasure that everyone should try. The array of flavors can satisfy even the pickiest eater and the best part everything is fresh and made with quality ingredients. I cant wait to go back and try some of the other flavors. I had the strawberry and my friend had the smores both were absolutely delectable! The owner is also very friendly and attentive! I highly recommend this place!

I love Japow. I keep coming back for the Passion Mountain and the Dulce brownie. It's my special reward for the day, its so good. It's like a fruit cloud the cream is awesome! Portion size is great for the price. Sometimes there is line I try to go in the afternoon after the rush, it's totally worth it!!

Absolutely love this hidden gem in design district. My favorite flavor is coco s’mores. Every single bite of this has flavor, there are no cutting corners with this establishment. Ownership is on point and the customers come first.

Lily is an absolute breath of fresh air, not only does she serve the absolute best Japanese Icees, she has the BEST customer service ever!! I love walking up and seeing her face light up as she embraces me, feels like family. Will continue to spend my money here! Oh and if you haven’t had Japanese icees before, you literally need to come here ASAP!

Fantastically original, not an Italian ice not a flavored snowball,but a different textured ice 'substance' with many out of the ordinary flavors. So good you want to scarf it down,but be mindful of 'BRAINFREEZE' !! The only drawback.

Wanted to try Japanese shaved ice for the first time ever and see what’s different about it compared to bingsu (Korean shaved ice). Got the GOKU flavour - super refreshing and the Japow milk on top with crunched almonds was so creamy and perfectly crunchy, but the shaved ice melted and watered down extremely quickly

The miss was very very gentle. Good ice cream too

Happy was good but a bit overpriced for what it is. Don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed it but for glorified shaved ice, it is a little pricey

We ordered the passion fruit flavor. It was very sour not sweet.

Looks better than it tastes. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it again, especially considering the price.

Shaved ice not kakigori.... but shaved ice was fine. Disappointing but flavors good... 3 stars because I feel it wasn't a true kakigori. I would not come back. But would recommend a try as flavors are quite nice.

Quite disappointing, strangely, the ice was rather hard (like crushed ice) and melted quickly. I love kakigori and have eaten it in different countries. This one didnt have much flavour. Staff was uninterested in serving. 3 stars are for the cute truck and design.

Expect overpriced slurpees with bad customer service. The server was rude and borderline prejudiced. She chatted in Spanish with 2 men before us for 10 minutes while we waited in line to order and then when it was time for us, she yelled at us that it was closing time in Spanglish but we would be the last to be served. There was no closing sign which would be the most obvious thing to do instead of screaming at customers. Then another Spanish speaking family showed up behind us and she said ok to their order. It felt awkward for average stuff but I guess this is what Miami is like, a lot of hype and little love for people who speak English in America.

I visited this shaved ice business with high expectations, but unfortunately, I encountered an extremely disappointing experience. The customer service was terrible, especially from the lady taking care of it. When my daughter received a shaved ice with the wrong flavor, I tried to explain the mistake kindly. However, the lady’s response was shockingly rude and unprofessional. She spoke to me in a loud voice and did not allow me to speak, constantly interrupting me. Instead of trying to solve the problem, she chose to yell at me, creating an uncomfortable and unpleasant situation. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any business, especially one that relies so much on customer satisfaction. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone due to the terrible customer service. One star is too much for the experience I had.

I was really dissatisfied with customer service. It was my first time trying the shaved ice and decided to see the menu and check all the different options. However, the lady working there was almost screaming if I already decide which one I was going to order otherwise it’s closed. I told her just give me one minute but she refused to wait and told me either your order now or never. I do not need her attitude since I’m the one ordering something. At the end I didn’t buy anything because I don’t want to pay for something where they treat me like that. Extremely disappointed

$9 for a fancy looking snow cone seems a bit steep to me😭 you’re basically paying for slush with a little bit of cream on top and like 3 tiny pieces of fruit

Horrible experience. Stay away! Asked for a kids Ice and was given a different flavor than asked for. We asked politely for our flavor and to exchange it. We were met with a horrible attitude and rudeness by the owner. We didn’t get the flavor asked for and we’re yelled at. Really?
