Stubborn Seed provides an amazing dining experience with creative and delicious dishes, especially the tasting menus. The service is consistently outstanding, with staff like Ida, Stephen, Lesia, and Ricky being frequently praised. It's a Michelin-starred restaurant where the food and service are both top-notch.
Tip: Consider the tasting menu for a full experience. Miami Spice menu is a great value. If you have dietary restrictions, they are accommodating.

We experienced the six-course tasting menu with wine pairing at Stubborn Seed Miami Beach, and every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully executed, with the wine pairings elevating each course perfectly. What truly stood out was the team’s precision—service flowed seamlessly, timing was impeccable, and everyone worked in complete sync. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.
Fabulous dinner from start to finish, withe raviolo being spectacular! Service was exemplary, & we were thrilled with the speed of it (tasting menus are usually a Doom March, but our 6 course was served in just over an hour). Excellent wines too! The noise level was a bit high, but added to the vibe. Highly recommend!
I've been to Stubborn Seed twice now, and both times it's been a wonderful experience. This time we did the 9 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each plate is meticulously crafted and looks as amazing as it tastes. The menu changes with the seasons and uses ingredients from the chef's personal farm. My favorite course was a play on peanut butter and jelly that involved foie gras (for that smooth peanut butter texture), a peanut miso crumble, and tomato yuzu jam (the "jelly") served with perfectly toasted bread slices to spread it on. With the wine pairing, you are served seven different drinks that pair beautifully with their respective courses and also give a great variety from sparkling white to light and then bold red to a Moscato with dessert and even a sake (this was my personal favorite of the night). The service is super friendly and attentive and explains each course in detail. I highly recommend this for a fancy night out and we will be back anytime we are in Miami!
Stubborn Seed exceeded all expectations during my Miami visit. The service here is truly impeccable - among the best I've experienced at any Michelin-starred restaurant in the USA. I opted for the 3-course amuse menu ($85 + tax), and appreciated that unlike many Miami restaurants, they don't automatically add a 20% service charge. The meal began with a delightful soft roll and beautifully shaped butter. The food was excellent overall, though the Seared Berkshire Porkchop (2nd course) had prominent cinnamon that wasn't mentioned on the menu. When I mentioned this, the staff was incredibly responsive - he later apologized and surprised me with a complimentary caviar course. This level of attentiveness was outstanding. As a birthday celebration, they went above and beyond with a gorgeous dessert presentation including "Happy Birthday" carved on the plate with a candle. The desserts were delicious and beautifully plated. Despite being "only" one Michelin star, this is hands-down the best Michelin experience I've had. The combination of exceptional service, excellent food, and reasonable pricing makes it a must-visit. I'll definitely return on my next Miami trip!
Everything was absolutely delicious. We came for Smash Burger Night and were greeted by Steven, who took great care of us from the start. The managers stopped by our table to check in, and Freddy, Ricky, and Luis were also incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. My favorite dishes were the egg dip and the Facundo cocktail with the passion-fruit mousse on top — truly amazing. And the desserts were on another level. Loved the whole experience. I’d definitely come back. Highly recommended!
Stubborn Seed offers a truly elevated dining experience — the six-course tasting menu was creative, beautifully plated, and showcased thoughtful techniques in every dish. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and you can tell each course was crafted with intention. Service overall was friendly and professional, and we were especially impressed by the staff’s knowledge and attention to detail. They described each course with ease, naming every component and ingredient, which really enhanced the experience and helped us appreciate the complexity behind each dish. The pacing of the food itself was on the slower side, but it allowed time to fully enjoy the wine pairings and presentation. The atmosphere is sleek and modern — just a little colder than expected, so bringing a light sweater isn’t a bad idea. There was a noticeable fragrance in the dining room — likely from candles or diffusers — that was pleasant but a bit strong and overpowering the food at times. Overall, the night felt special. Thank you to the team for helping us celebrate both my birthday and our anniversary!
We spent Valentine’s Day at Stubborn Seed and did the 9 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Every dish was outstanding, and the wines were paired perfectly with each course. My favorite dish bieng the fish and my favorite wine bieng the sake. The service was exceptional—our servers were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and able to explain every dish in detail, along with each wine and how thoughtfully it complemented the food. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
Amazing experience! Went there on a Monday night to celebrate a special milestone. Ricky was extremely attentive and kind. His enthusiasm for the food came through with service. As far as food and cocktails, the tasting menu is top notch. You start out thinking it won’t be enough food at the end, but the pacing and portions are spot on. By the time dessert come, you have just enough room for it. Definitely well priced for what it is, a great experience and special occasion dinner.
The service provided was truly exceptional. Our stay was wonderful, and the cuisine perfectly complemented the overall ambiance. The atmosphere fostered a sense of community, even amidst the bustling city. As someone from a rural background, I particularly appreciated the fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Our sincere gratitude to the staff for ensuring such a delightful experience in every aspect.
The food is amazing—it’s a full 9-step experience with different flavors in each course. You can also pair the experience with wine if you want to. The portions are perfect, the flavors are incredible, and the dessert isn’t too sweet, which I loved. The service was excellent, and the hostess was incredibly kind and sweet.
The first immersion was a six-course tasting menu, paired with a wine selection in which each glass complemented and carried forward the symphony of flavors of every dish presented. Undoubtedly, I could begin to describe each course in detail, treating every one as a separate symphony of taste, but I will refrain from such scrupulousness—though who could truly blame me? Overall, the experience was extraordinary, resembling a journey in which each distinct flavor transports you to a specific place: from an open field at dawn, running barefoot through cold morning dew, to a small house among the fields of Provence on a languid summer evening with a glass of wine, or to the farms of New England where young lambs graze and maple syrup slowly simmers. The dessert course was as vivid as a burst of citrus, yet at the same time as light as a ballerina’s flight in an improbable dance of flavor. Overwhelmed by this cascade of tastes and emotions, I simply could not bring myself to stop the evening or place a final full stop upon it. Following the server’s recommendation, I ordered the poussin with radishes grown on the chef’s own farm. Something disarmingly simple, yet truly perfect—where every element harmonizes so completely that the flavors seem to play and dance. At my request to be surprised, the bartender presented a cocktail that was, in essence, a gin sour built on a cucumber and dill syrup—something so refreshing and familiar that it felt like being transported back to childhood, to my grandmother’s village home.
First off, I am a huge Top Chef fan, so naturally I had to visit Jeremy’s flagship restaurant after visiting Miami! At the centre of the bar was Kwame’s cookbook - was a nice nod to their friendship! Overall the food was delicious and the six course tasting menu was vibrant and unique. I thought the first course would be a crudo (joking!) but it was a very nicely cured yellowtail. The finger foods (a tartare and an oyster) were delicious. I found the raviolo to be a bit too rich (had Gruyère, a lot of potato espuma, the egg yolk) but it had nice flavours. Perhaps a bit too soft in texture, even with the additional garnishes, personally. The gusher was very unique, with jalapeño giving a nice palate cleanse. The lamb was super tender and flavourful, cooked to perfection! Lastly the dessert was delicious! Definitely a great experience with a delicious curated tasting menu!
Gabby was out main server and she was exceptional both with service and knowledge. We had the 6 course fish menu and it was exceptional. The rock oyster was off the scale and the fois gras peanut and jelly sandwich I will never forget. Would totally recommend.
We had an absolutely lovely, totally worthwhile experience at Stubborn Seed. We sat for the 9 course tasting menu during Art Week, and were amazed at how seamlessly the staff and kitchen turned a normal Friday evening into a magical dinner we’ll never forget. Our server, Stephen, took perfect care of us, was incredibly gracious, and made sure we had everything that we needed. We will DEFINITELY be back, and I seriously encourage you, whoever might be reading this and considering trying Stubborn Seed, GO. It’s SO worth it, and will be a meal and experience that stays with you for a long, long time. I only wish I took more pictures- but trust me when I say that the posted pics do NOT do the food or service justice 😅
I’ve been a fan of Jeremy since Top Chef, and Miami Spice was the perfect introduction to dining at Stubborn Seed. We were absolutely blown away! The chicken was the most tender I’ve ever had, the beef cheek was rich with deep, layered flavors, and the lamb ravioli was pure perfection. Dessert was exquisite, full of flavor bombs and unexpected pairings like feta and banana that worked beautifully together. And lets not overlook bread and butter service.. WOW! The service was excellent from start to finish, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance of upscale and inviting. Can’t wait to return and try the full tasting menu one day!
My wife and I had an incredible experience at Stubborn Seed. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding the entire team was warm, attentive, and welcoming. Our server, Stephen, was fantastic. He was not only informative about the menu but also shared some fun facts about the restaurant that made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and the flavors paired beautifully. I also highly recommend the corn whisperer drink!!!
We celebrated our anniversary at Stubborn Seed, trying their Miami Spice menu ($60 per person). The food was delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. We arrived early at 6 pm, so it was quiet with only a few other guests, which I loved and the restaurant had a lovely, subtle scent in the air. The dress code was quite mixed: some guests were dressed to impress with high heels and elegant outfits, while others wore beach clothes, sneakers, and shorts. Plenty of street parking nearby made it easy, and thankfully, it wasn’t a long walk in high heels 😂
One of the best restaurant experiences in my life. The service was impeccable and truly deserves a Michelin. Our server, Lesia, made the evening unforgettable with her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Every dish was a masterpiece — beautifully presented, perfectly balanced in flavor, and made with the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting, making the entire evening feel special without being overly formal. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone who values exceptional dining
What an amazing culinary experience! I ordered from the Miami Spice $60 dinner menu, and the chef changed the main dish to accommodate my pescatarian diet. The food was so delicious in taste and texture, and so beautiful in presentation, and the service from Ida and all the other staff members was impeccable. The drink I ordered was amazing but expensive. So if you are in town during August or September or for any special occasion, I highly recommend this Michelin-starred restaurant.

Wonderful experience with amazing service & delicious food on a special night! Well deserved michelin star. We got the 6 course tasting menu and loved each dish. Much thanks to our server Ida for a great time!
Amazing service food and drink. We sat at the bar and had the opportunity to converse with the bartender, Ida, who was so sweet. The food was spectacular, chicken the best we ever had and they were so nice to accommodate my gluten intolerance. Thank you Jeremy Ford for creating such a restaurant. We will remember this for a long time.
We did the tasting menu and spent about $700 for two with drinks, and it was worth it. Every course was thoughtful and beautifully presented, and the flavors really stood out. The vibe is modern but still cozy, and the service made the whole night feel special. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Miami—pricey, but unforgettable.
Wow. Great meal and dining experience. Creative and delicious dishes from start to finish. And a very reasonable corkage fee as well. Highly recommend, one of our best dining experiences this year for us
Stopped in for a quick bite and took a seat at the bar. From the moment I walked in I was greeted very warmly and genuinely. Despite being seated at the bar the service was top notch. Menu was explained in refined detail by my server, whose name I regret to have forgotten, and the care for the presentation was beyond reproach. Everyone worked as a team to ensure my experience was excellent. To say that even Gabriel, the wait assistant was just as knowledgeable in the menu and ingredients and process as the servers themselves. That says a lot about the standards they have set. Oh, and the drinks. I had what I believe was called The Mango Tree and the Facundo. Both very different from one another, but both were exceptional. The balance, quality and level of refinement in these drinks is amazing. And I would be remiss to not mention my cocktail creator, Lesia. Not only is she a master of her craft; she is a wonderful conversationalist. Chatting with and watching her perform her magic was just as good as the food itself; which was spectacular!!!
Amazing food experience. From the ambience, to cocktails, to wine, to service, to food just simply excellent. we were a group of 5 and every single person loved the dishes and enjoyed the evening. As the menu changes I am just attaching the different chefs tasting plates. Again, amazing and highly recommended.
An unforgettable dining experience! Every course was thoughtful, sophisticated and full of imagination. The food was breathtaking, but what truly made the evening special was how welcomed and cared for we felt the entire time. Stephen and Ricardo (Ricky) were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging - absolutely amazing overall! It wasn’t just a meal; it was a beautiful experience we’ll be talking about long after. Truly deserving of every star and more! Thank you!
I came here for Miami spice and what an incredible experience. I cannot recommend it enough and will be probably returning for their full tasting menu. The food was absolutely incredible, probably the best food I have had in Miami. The duck gnocchi was my favorite dish, but the swordfish was also absolutely incredible. Would also recommend their cocktails, which were it’s an experience on their own right.
I don’t remember how I found out about this Michelin-starred restaurant, but I am so grateful I did. My husband and I were in town for our anniversary and chose the tasting menu with some additions. I grew up here so I am not a stranger to the incredible food this town has to offer and how competitive the restaurant business is here. This was easily the best meal I’ve ever had with every single dish hitting a variety of flavor and texture profiles with complete balance. As if this wasn’t compliment enough, the service was next-level, with Chuck feeling like an old friend by the end of the meal. This felt like an intimate, brilliantly creative, sensory experience paired with the service I remember from pre-corporate Vegas, where businesses sought out the best of the best and compensated them as such. We also loved being able to observe the rapport between the back of house staff. Stubborn Seed is everything a fine dining experience should be and every minute of our time spent reinforced their excellence. Brilliant and perfect.
Let me start by saying I read a lot of reviews about this place and had mixed feelings. I tend to read bad reviews first, but we decided to go anyway. I am so glad we did. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding! The 8 course tasting menu was like a piece of art on the plate and in your mouth! The staff was changing our utensils at least 15 times during the dinner, if not more, and everyone knew every single ingredient of every dish - it was impressive! We left so full and so happy that we didn't listen to "negative Nancys" Can't wait for you guys to open one up in Chicago, so we don't have to fly to Miami to do it again :)
This was my first Michelin experience, and it was delightful. I was grateful that I was able to get a dinner reservation on the same day. The service staff was unbelievable. The level of professionalism couldn't have been higher. The food (particularly the passion fruit dessert, a true work of art), and the wine pairings, were exceptional. My ONLY feedback is that there was a large party celebrating a birthday, and they were being extremely loud, so loud that it was echoing around the restaurant. Honestly, I didn't care. I was grateful that the ambience was fairly casual. But it is something to consider, I could imagine other people being upset by it. Perhaps some sound tiles up in the ceilings or something. Thank you!
Absolutely incredible experience at Stubborn Seed, my first time visiting. The decor, the ambience, the eloquence of the staff; everything about my dinner was an exceptional expression of what fine dining should be. Sophisticated yet comfortable. The quality and execution of the ingredients translated masterfully with every dish and drink that I tried. Our server, Arturo, was cordial and very attentive to my party throughout the evening. Our food runners, Jordan and Ricky, were always on top of making sure everything was efficient and that transitions between courses were seamless. The crunchy truffle bravas were delicious and a perfect start. The sopressata and parmesan complimented the dish really well. The Stubborn Truffle Chicken which is one of their signatures was the juiciest piece of chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The crispy skin and the pomme puree as well as the jus all worked so well together. If a restaurant can make chicken exciting, then that’s usually a very good sign. The snapper dish was great too and was presented beautifully. The House-made Ricotta Gnudi (not pictured because I was too excited and forgot) may have been my single favorite dish of the evening. The manchego umami foam elevated this dish to a whole other level. I still think about it from time to time. For dessert the Roasted Sweet Potato Mille-Feuille had a really fantastic textural contrast. The toasted barley ice cream was unique and paired delightfully with the almond chocolate phyllo. As if the food wasn’t amazing enough, the cocktails curated by Ida are truly some of the best creations in the city right now. We ordered the Facundo which was tropical and smokey in the best way. The Kill Dill is perfect for gin lovers who like cucumber drinks; the dill syrup used in this cocktail was delicious and added almost a savory element to the drink. The Stubborn Old Fashioned was also an eye-opener with its use of a five-spice syrup that reminded me of my favorite Cantonese braises. All in all, I had a phenomenal time at Stubborn Seed. The GM, Michael, was also very endearing and treated me graciously for the occasion as it was my birthday celebration. Very attentive and very hospitable. Recommendations were provided by Tokyo and he knew exactly what menu items to pair for my tastes. He was most discerning and I loved everything he suggested. I will definitely be coming back soon and I’ll be singing praises to everyone I know.
The Gold Standard of Michelin-Starred Excellence! As a dedicated follower of the global culinary scene, I have dined in many of the world’s most acclaimed rooms, but my recent experience at Stubborn Seed was a masterclass in why this establishment holds both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star. It is rare to find a restaurant that balances high-concept innovation with such deeply personal hospitality. A Michelin-Level Journey The technical precision coming out of Chef Jeremy Ford’s glass-fronted kitchen is breathtaking. From the first amuse-bouche to the final dessert, every bite was better than the last. This is contemporary dining at its absolute peak—brashly creative, bold in its Latin and Asian influences, yet grounded by ingredients sourced directly from their own 5-acre farm. The flavors are complex and "rigidly executed," exactly as one would expect from a Michelin-caliber tasting menu. Flawless Celebration & Management! What truly set this evening apart, however, was the service. We were there to celebrate my father’s birthday, and the management team ensured the occasion was handled with a level of grace and attention to detail that went above and beyond. Not a single beat was missed. In many starred establishments, the service can feel clinical; here, it felt like being a guest in the home of a master. The team orchestrated the evening to perfection, making it a milestone my father will never forget! Stubborn Seed is not just a restaurant; it is the pinnacle of the Miami dining scene. Whether you are there for the artful presentation, the sustainable farm-to-table philosophy, or the impeccable service, it delivers on every promise. For anyone seeking a world-class experience that justifies every bit of its acclaim: this is the spot! As someone who deeply appreciates the nuances of Michelin-starred dining, I was blown away by the kitchen’s precision—every dish seemed to surpass the one before it. However, what truly made the evening unforgettable was the impeccable coordination from your management and service staff. Thank you!
As special as it is made out to be! The winter tasting menu was spectacular. I’m not a huge raw food fan and there were several raw dishes, but unsurprisingly they were so well done it was a treat and helped on my journey to appreciating raw dishes! The clockwork orange was delicious and sweater weather was also great. My favorite dish was the mushroom risotto and the sea bass was my second favorite. But they were all incredible.
Unseeming on the outside, but once you step inside you’re swept away into a gastronomical alternate reality! Wonderful and unique taste palette pairings. Many of the dishes were truly one of a kind out of the dozens of other Michelin tasting menus I’ve eaten. Staff was kind, too! Wish they would change the music genre to something more fitting and ambient :)
We have spent one week in Miami Beach and explore several restaurants, I can truly said these is the best experience we have. Our company of 8 pax have chosen Miami spice for 60 usd per person, truffle potatoes and meat were insane, all the desert were awesome , I don’t like sweets but these really impressed me , and signature cocktails must try , service was nice and fast
Probably the best dining experience I have ever had. I am so enthusiastic of this experience that I felt the need to write this immediately after leaving. The waiter Ricky was so attentive and amazing that I felt like I was being taken on a journey of flavor. He did a great job describing the dishes in great detail and was extremely attentive to anything I could have needed. The wine pairing was unreal. Every dish was well thought out and 100% satisfying!
Just when you think it can’t get any better, Chef Jeremy Ford’s team knocked it out of the park, again. Tyrease, Stephen, Alejandro, Ida, Angiolo and Ricardo were nothing short of sensational and the food was exquisite. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, a symphony of taste sensations that left us speechless. Whether in Miami or Vegas (shout out to Chef Ricky and Andrew), the dining experience is a testimony to their skill and passion for food, the sustainability of our planet and the overall customer experience.
This was my first experience at a restaurant with a Michelin Star, and I was not disappointed! There was so much attention to detail in the plating, pairings, and service from start to finish. The space was modern and sleek. We were able to meet the chef at the end of our meal (as well as the pastry chef who created a phenomenal dessert)! The swordfish was spectacular, and the duck was unbelievable. I have tried to figure out my favorite dish from the evening and I can’t choose. Everything was amazing. I know the price point is a little steep, but if you ever have a special occasion (or if you simply want to treat yourself), this is 100% WORTH THE SPLURGE!
Such a fun and innovative restaurant, I absolutely loved my whole experience here. Stubborn Seed offers a contemporary American style dinning experience; both through their tasting menu and à la carte options. It was the tasting menu that called us in since my partner and I feel like it really reflects the chefs creativity. Needless to say it did not disappoint! The dishes were right up my alley! They were beautifully presented, tasty, tangy and fresh! I also very much appreciated the wine paring which was lovely with all the dishes. The food was to die for and all the different flavors really amazed me and my husband. Yet, it was the staff that added the final touches to the whole experience. They were so engaging in every aspect from when we first got there to when we left. Major kudos to S.S I look forward to visiting again soon.
Let me start by saying this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had from start to finish. I was greated upon entry by a friendly smile and quickly showed to my table. Shortly after that our server Luis came to introduce himself and explain a few things about the menu and wine. Beside the wine pairing (which I strongly recommend) we were drinking water and our glass was never less than half full. Luis was extremely attentive, yet never intrusive to our meal. He is an excellent server and when we return I will specifically ask for him as our server. Jordan also brought some dishes from the kitchen and explained them table side, this was excellent since we were able to appreciate the components of the dish better this way. Their menu has descriptions of their dishes so I won’t type them here but they are composed beautifully. Seasoning on all dishes was simple perfection. Ingredients were respected and properly highlighted. It’s not surprise they had a Michelin star. Dishes came out at perfect times and temperatures. There was background music that allowed for private conversations without it being too loud. I really enjoyed the overall vibe of the restaurant. I am so glad I had a dining experience at Stubborn Seed because I will be returning with family, with friends, and again for a date night with my wife. This was an exceptional dining experience which I strongly recommend for any occasion.
Kudos to an INCREDIBLE and ATTENTIVE staff! Truly first-class service. There was no snobbery here, just great people and elevated dining. The dishes were works of art (not to mention delicious!). Pro tip: The high-top tables are a bit cramped, so try to grab other seating. This is a great place to celebrate with friends and loved ones! Would highly recommend for a memorable meal.
I like to try new restaurants alone every week or so and last week I had the good fortune of dining at Stubborn Seed which has been on my radar for a while now. Excellent food from start to finish. Bold flavors all curated thoughtfully with an emphasis on locally grown/sourced ingredients. Service was wonderful. Welcoming and helpful. $300 inclusive of 2 $26 glasses of wine, tax, and 20% tip. I highly recommend this restaurant and would go there asap while they still have this well-constructed menu!
Tried the tasting menu and some cocktails, the meal was exceptional. Flavors were all very balanced, delicious heat in so many of the dishes. Textures and palate balances were also considerations which I really appreciated. For me, the highlights of the meal were the sweater weather cocktail, the venison, the agnolotti, and the sesame milk bread. But all the dishes were great. I’ve been to a few Michelin star spots now and this one stood out with the uniqueness of its dishes and the quality of ingredients. Service was excellent and the pace of the meal was perfect. There’s street parking around the building, some paid lots, and paid valet parking in the front of the restaurant.
Hands-down best meal in my life. My husband and I did the nine chorus and so glad we did. The butter, oh my God, the butter. It will be the best butter you’ve ever had in your life. The Four gras also so memorable. Everything was seller, the dessert wasn’t my favorite but really it was the most incredible food night. I’ve had in a long time.
Everything was top notch: the service, the fantastic table with front row view to the seamlessly functioning kitchen, and the food. Dishes that at first seemed unremarkable showed their depth as more bites were savored—the crudo and the pavlova, for example. One slightly irritating detail is the seemingly endless “add-ons” offered when making the reservation. It makes one feel like they’re being treated to a substandard dinner at $125/pp. It would be preferable to raise the price and simply fold in the additions.
We had the 3-course meal, which was delicious. Very tasty, fresh salad with gooseberries and crispy croutons, great stubborn truffle chicken (signature dish) on potato purée and tasty white ember dessert. The last wasn’t really our favorite because of the gelatinous consistency of the main part of the dish. Had the recommended Pinot noir, which was quite nice. Lesia, our server, was very good. The explanations of the dishes were spot on and we didn’t feel rushed. Would definitely go back.
Locate in the charismatic area of south point! First impresión of the building is like they are upgrading the exterior a little bit, but in my opinion sometime the fact that a restaurant is not in perfect conditions by its image is because the food will impress you! We tried the Miami Spice Menu who was very straight forward, two options for the appetizer, two for the main course and two for dessert! We chose both since we were two people and we decided to share everything! Food was great, and at the end the executive chef brought the dessert by himself to us. ——————————————————— Service was attentive! You may find pay to park parking on the street or valet parking on site!
I can't say enough about this place. I went by on Monday night for JJ's Guilty Pleasures Pop-Up and it was great. Before I get to the food, the service was fantastic!! I have work in the hospitality business myself for a bit, and from the servers (Luis), to the food runners (Jordan & young man that was training, sorry I didn't get his name), and of course Ida at the bar gracefully making top quality craft cocktails, she's fantastic! I heard a local Miami Beach patron say that this place has the best cocktail in all of South Beach, and I'm having a hard time disagreing. And the General Manager Micheal, that was just top notch. He has a phenomenal team that just compliments one another. It just great to see a place run on all engines like that. And the kitchen which is always under pressure with a fishbowl view of them cooking up a storm behind that glass moving all in tandem, getting that food out expeditiously, bravo to them as well. Yes, I know I am fanboying, but I felt I was in a great episode of the TV show "The Bear"(if you don't know, you have to check it out). And finally the Smash Burger they featured this week which perfectly cooked and juicy with crispy onions, and crave sauce with American cheese was otherworldly. And save some room for desserts because the pastry chef who I regret not knowing their name is an artist. Their desserts were top notch, and the plate design and execution was next level as well. I believe that this pop-up is going in for another 6 weeks on Mondays, so folks, come check it out and you will find out for yourselves!! Thank you to the entire Stubborn Seed staff for making this a most memorable evening!!!
Food and service is consistently EXCELLENT here and so excited to see Chef Jeremy Ford and his team’s expansion into Vegas & beyond. Great for special occasions or just a nice night out for amazing food and ambiance. Tokyo the host is SUPER friendly, accommodating and hospitable we can’t thank him enough for helping us. 🙏
In terms of food and service, Stubborn Seed clearly deserves two Michelin stars, rather than one. This was the best meal I've had in Miami in quite a while. Every dish was delicious, interesting, and beautifully presented. And of course, the quality of the ingredients was obvious. Also, they were able to make gluten free substitutions for us even though we didn't mention that restriction when we made the reservation, and those substitutions were amazing! We'll definitely be coming back with some frequency!
The flavor and texture combinations are spectacular. The portions for the first two options (bread and yellowtail) are small, but the gem salad was huge, and the truffle chicken is a good size to share. The Heat Wave drink has a fabulous presentation with a smoke-filled bubble and the spicy mezcal flavor is delightful.
Excellent experience at Stubborn Seed. The food was outstanding, but the service truly made the night special. Ricky was an amazing server—attentive, fun, and very knowledgeable. As an extra thoughtful touch, he took the time to translate the entire experience into Spanish for one of our guests who didn’t speak English, making her feel comfortable and fully included. Big thanks as well to Tokyo and Freddy for their support and great attention throughout the evening. We will definitely be back.
Stubborn seed was a phenomenal experience, this was a night to remember. Ida our server was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Food quality was above and beyond. Their Michelin stars speak for themselves. We experienced the Miami spice menu and it has been one of the best. In the area of Miami Beach… this is a must try location. I highly recommend. Their cocktail menu is diverse and just the high quality we were looking for. I want to thank the team for being so detailed and the hospitality they provided during this special occasion. Looking forward to our next dine in. I celebrated my birthday dinner and the chef personally gave us a taste on one of her specialty desserts. She enhanced our palates to a new experience that will forever be remembered. I want to personally thank the GM Michael who went out of his way to finish this evening with a remarkable memory. Thank you to all the staff. We are looking forward to the next special occasion.
Truly an amazing experience. We came here on our baby moon, so my wife couldn’t have raw meat, and the staff made slight tweaks to the 9 course meal to accommodate. Luis went above and beyond. He was thoughtful and kind in every interaction and made the 2.5 hours fly by. He had mocktails made for us that were spot on and made the meal so relaxing. 10/10 experience!
I gave myself one night out last night, at a 1-Michelin Star restaurant here in South Beach, Miami 😍 Let me tell you that Stubborn Seed is perfection. This was the spring menu and all 8 courses were impeccable, creative, beautiful, artful and delicious. The flavor combinations I thought I could imagine, but they surprised me once scooped into my mouth. Brilliant. I can’t wait to try their summer menu later on this summer! I sat at the bar (since I was solo). Beautiful space, lovely staff, nice wine list. Thank you!
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious — clearly crafted with care and attention to detail. Our waitress Ida was attentive without being intrusive, always arriving at the perfect moment to check on us. . This restaurant has clearly mastered not only the art of great food but also the art of great service. We’ll definitely be back.
Eating my way through Miami and Stubborn Seed absolutely stole the crown. 🌴✨ One-Michelin-star, farm-to-table cooking from Top Chef Season 13 winner Jeremy Ford, tucked near the southern tip of South Beach. I went with the 6-course tasting (with plenty of surprise extras along the way). The full lineup included: 🍣 Yellowfin tuna with tomato consommé, French Farms watermelon radish, and kombu citrus granita; 🖤 Truffle cheddar jalapeño popper with truffle emulsion and winter black truffle; 🧀 Braised leek & gruyère raviolo with potato espuma; 🥓 Crispy smoked pork belly with shallot sofrito, egg yolk, and a potato nest; 🍋 Lime-jalapeño granita palate cleanser; 🦆 Honey-glazed duck with turnip, pine nuts, Lion Farms mushrooms, sour cherry, and spiced honey; 🍰 Citrus pavlova with candied pistachio, yuzu curd, olive oil cake, mandarin basil sorbet, and matcha meringue. Standouts for me: The jalapeño popper—piping hot, shatter-crispy, and explosive with black truffle flavor. The raviolo—creamy, cheesy, decadent, and deeply comforting. And the dessert, which I wasn’t expecting to love but absolutely crushed it—the chew of the candied pistachios paired with the tart yuzu and mandarin was outstanding. The duck was a new feature that night and, while the flavor pairing with sour cherry worked beautifully, it was tougher to cut and chew than duck usually is. I shared that feedback when directly asked, and the response was textbook Michelin-level hospitality: the chef personally sent out their signature truffle chicken, layered with gravy, potato, and Brussels sprouts over a perfectly sous-vide chicken breast I could slice with a stern look. Incredible. This was my favorite meal in Miami—an exceptional value for the cuisine, service, and care Chef Ford and his team deliver at Stubborn Seed. Highly recommend. 🍽️👏 @stubborn_seed #StubbornSeed #MichelinStar #MiamiEats #SouthBeachDining #TopChef #JeremyFord #TastingMenu #FarmToTable #FineDining #Foodie #FoodPorn #MiamiFood #ChefDriven #HospitalityDoneRight #WorthIt #BathboyEats
Came to celebrate the start of my birthday week!!! Our server/bartender Raphael Ceballos was amazing!!! He made the experience (first time being here) so absolutely incredible! The food was fantastic, the staff so knowledgeable- loved the fact that everything was described in detail! What an incredible way to start of my 58 years!
Truly remarkable. We enjoyed the 9-course tasting menu with the wine pairing and waygu enhancement, putting dinner at $375pp including tax and tip. Worth every penny. Our primary server, Gabriela, was fantastic although several other staff members delivered our dishes, including both managers and a member of the chef’s team. I enjoyed the variance as it allows one to meet several members of the staff. Of the nine wines there was one I didn’t care for so, when asked how I liked it and said, “not so much” it was immediately replaced with a choice between two fine wines. It’s in these moments you understand the staff are true professionals providing the best dining experience possible. Gabriela, or Gaby as she prefers to be called, is a true professional The only marks against is the dress code. One gentleman at the bar was in a T-shirt and a baseball cap. Later two gentleman sat at a high top near the door, both in baseball caps. Also, the bartender was wearing a tank-top with the back cutout, something one would expect at a beach bar. The stark contrast between she and the very smartly dressed manager, Jonathan Smith, in a suit and tie, was noticeable. I’m old school dining with my 94 year old father who is really old school so my critique of attire when we’re only here for dinner may seem displaced. My apologies. For anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in Miami Beach I highly recommend Stubborn Seed. You will leave full and an experience you’ll remember forever
Fabulous meal and fabulous service. Stubborn Seed provides a beautiful showcase of inventive and very tasty food. The tasting menu is a terrific progression highlighting wonderful ingredients and flavors. One of the best restaurants I've been to in quite some time. The restaurant highlights why Jeremy Ford is a Top Chef. And a big shout out to the team at the restaurant, especially our server Lesia, who help make it all happen!
Amazing dinner. You can really see why Stubborn Seed has a Michelin star. Everything was on point, from the food to the service. The cured Japanese yellowtail was fresh and perfectly balanced, the raviolo was a standout, and the pavlova was a great way to finish — light and refreshing. Service was excellent. Jordan and Nathalie were super attentive, and you can tell the great work being done by CDC Diego in the kitchen and Jonathan, the GM, keeping everything running smoothly. Very well-deserved Michelin star. Food and service are absolutely at that level. Would definitely come back.
Stubborn Seed was a delightful culinary experience from start to finish. The bartender, who was from Venezuela if I remember correctly, was so sweet and friendly. She made perfect accommodations. I was thoroughly impressed by each course. No course was too heavy, as everything was perfectly balanced with the herb and fruit choices. I appreciated the timing of each course, as I was never rushed. I would highly recommend this spot for a date night or even a solo dinner spot.
We recently spent a week in Miami and this was by far the restaurant we went to! The food was unbelievably delicious and the service was great. Our main waiter Louis was personable, attentive, and clearly very knowledgeable about the menu. While we were there the team learned they had just earned a green Michelin star for their sustainability efforts. The restaurant was filled with so much joy after this announcement, it was really cool to see! The only downside I would say was for a few of the dishes we were only given a spoon and really could’ve used a knife to help cut the food. Also, it was kind of confusing having multiple different waiters/food runners throughout the dinner. But neither of those even come close to outweighing how amazing the food was!
Little late on posting my review.. I realized I hadn’t posted and it was a situation that needed to be rectified ASAP. We had dinner here to celebrate my friends birthday. The service and the food were excellent. Just what you would expect for Michelin dining! I really enjoyed the great view of the kitchen from the dining room. Each dish was well executed and flavorful. Highly recommend!
Lemme tell you THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN MIAMI service and food wise. Coming here for 3 years (every 3 months they have new menu) now and never disappointed, always surprised actually. The BEST combinations of flavours and textures compared with wine courses, oh boy. The kitchen is a heaven and all workers are the angels, not less, all other employees as well. This is THE EXPERIENCE. And you’re always SO full after everything. Just love you guys haha.
Truly an amazing experience. Best michelin star experience I have had in Miami, Paris, or anywhere. The service was unparalleled, and each dish was inspired. What was especially distinguished was the work of the pastry chef Leiti Gonzalez who is truly passionate in her use of fermentation, and made some desserts that I think may have been the best I have ever had.
We had wonderful dinner at Stubborn Seed tonight! Everything was delicious, especially the bread service, striped sea bass, koji marinated lamb loin, and the corn cream reverie dessert! The service was impeccable and every single person was so professional and kind. Special shout-out to Jordan for elevating our experience even more with his soothing demeanor and apparent excitement for the food he was sharing!
Exquisite dinning experience. Where to begin? My husband and I have dined at quite a few Michelin star restaurants in Chicago where we live. Stubborn Seed quickly became our favourite; food, ambiance and staff. The best part of our experience was how personable the staff (Ricardo, Juan and Tokyo) were. Ricardo was our main server and he set the standard of excellence for the night; timely, knowledgeable and a good vibe. My husband bonded nicely with Juan and even earned the nickname, Juanito. ALL courses were delicious. There nothing to complain about except wanting MORE food. We were pleasantly satiated by the end of the night. Tokyo wrapped our experience with a bow; a yellow paper origami with a note of congratulations on completing the Miami marathon. This was especially touching because of his attention to detail. Based on observing his clients he deduced my favourite colour to be yellow. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and especially the food. Our only regret is that we had to leave. When back in Miami, we WILL return.
Stubborn Seed in Miami has quickly become one of the city’s most sought-after dining experiences, and for good reason. Holding a Michelin star since 2023, this restaurant combines creativity, precision, and flavor in every course. From the moment you sit down, it feels like more than just dinner it’s a curated experience. The meal began with the wagyu beef tartare, bold and flavorful with just the right balance of texture. The Florida oyster brought a subtle smoky touch that lingered beautifully, a flavor you don’t forget easily. The lamb and harissa raviolo was deeply comforting, a dish that feels both refined and soulful. The highlight of the night was the koji-marinated lamb loin, perfectly tender, memorable, and full of depth. Dessert was no afterthought either the Corn Cream Reverie closed the evening with something light, layered, and completely unique, a creation that lingers in your mind long after the last spoonful. Dining at Stubborn Seed is more than a meal; it’s an experience that defines why Miami has become such a standout culinary destination. For anyone searching for Michelin star restaurants in Miami or simply looking for a night that feels special, Stubborn Seed is one of those places that truly delivers on its reputation.
For true foodies the opportunity to eat in a Michelin starred restaurant is truly a special event. If you are ever in Miami and are looking for an incredible dining experience I highly recommend visiting The Stubborn Seed. The 11 course chef's tasting menu included things we had never eaten, and in some cases never even heard of. Every course was amazing! Attached are some pictures but they really don't do the presentations justice. The service was excellent, friendly and dare I say educational. A meal to remember for sure!
I ended up unexpectedly dining alone and Stubborn Seed went out of their way to make me feel comfortable in every way. Every moment was perfect, and every staff member I interacted was amazingly kind and personable. The food was outstanding for the price you pay, and I love that they've made Michelin dining more approachable and less pretentious. Would definitely visit again.
We visited Stubborn Seed for what was meant to be a simple business-casual dinner, and it evolved into one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Miami. The tasting menu was truly exceptional — each course crafted with precision, creativity, and a depth of flavor that consistently surprised us. The wine pairing elevated every dish beautifully, showing thoughtful curation and a clear passion for harmony between food and wine. Our server, Ricky, took extraordinary care of us throughout the evening. His attentiveness, warmth, and knowledge made the experience feel effortless and personal. We felt genuinely grateful for the way he guided us through the menu. A special mention as well to Jordan, whose presence added an unexpected layer of magic to the night, and to Freddy, who helped make everything feel seamless. Together, they made us feel not just welcomed, but truly valued. What started as a casual dinner became a full-on culinary journey — one we would gladly return for. Highly recommended.
The food is beyond what you'd expect! It looks a lot simpler than what you usually see at other Michelin restaurants in the area—mostly because you can actually pronounce the names and recognize what’s on the plate. But the taste is still way above 5 stars! The interior is super simple too. You’d feel totally fine wearing jeans. My guess is it’s on purpose—so the chef knows people are there just for the food! I even had water dripping on me from the AC (they moved us to another table), but the food was so good it didn’t even ruin the experience haha
I recently had the most incredible dining experience at Stubborn Seed, a three-time Michelin-starred and Michelin Green Star restaurant. 🏆🤯 It was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had. I chose the 9-course tasting menu, and each dish progressed beautifully—somehow, each one became my new favorite. The ingredients were hyper-seasonal and many of the vegetables were locally sourced from Jeremy Ford’s personal garden, adding a sustainable and thoughtful layer to the entire experience. ⭐️🌿 We began with a refreshing amuse that perfectly awakened the palate. Next came a ceviche, bright with yellow and bell peppers, kissed with Thai chili sauce — the balance of spice and acidity was flawless. Then a charcoal oyster landed, delivering a bold, smoky punch of umami that left a lasting impression. One of the most inventive and unforgettable dishes of the night was a foie gras course — a luxurious and playful twist on peanut butter and jelly. The rich duck liver was paired with Knotts Berry Farm jam, set atop a nut and pistachio crust, creating an elevated yet nostalgic bite that was both indulgent and comforting. 🦆🍇🥜 It tasted like a grown-up memory you didn’t know you were missing. The ravioli, filled with confit, came dressed in a bright mint sauce with house-made yogurt, Indian spices, and bell peppers. Every element added depth and warmth. The parmesan-crusted halibut was served alongside an incredible medley of marinated vegetables, including tomatoes, avocado, onion, egg, and tomato consommé. The charcoal-blistered onion was deeply flavorful and tender with just the right amount of crust. And the citrus-poached artichoke next to it may have been the bite of the night. 😍🐟🌿 The one-bite wagyu tartare on toasted milk bread with crispy leeks was ethereal — it quite literally melted in my mouth. And the lamb loin with cherries, beans, and mushrooms brought it all home with an earthy, savory finish full of balance and finesse. Each dish was layered with so many components — sometimes over 17 ingredients per plate — that I couldn’t possibly recall them all, but every bite was meaningful and masterfully crafted. The entire staff was phenomenal. From the maître d’ to the bartender who also served me, everyone made me feel welcome, cared for, and fully immersed in the experience. I don’t remember all their names, but I’ll never forget how they made me feel. 🙌🏽❤️ I had the pleasure of meeting the incredibly talented Executive Chef Armando and the amazing Pastry Chef Leiti Glez — both of whom came out to greet me and take a photo. 👨🍳👩🍳📸 Such a highlight of the night. Jeremy Ford, the owner and Top Chef winner, has created something truly visionary. 🧑🍳🏆 Watching the kitchen in action added even more awe to the already flawless food. 👀🔥 To top it all off, the team brought out a surprise birthday cake 🎂✨ and sang Happy Birthday 🥳 — a personal, heartfelt ending to a night I’ll never forget. 💫
Amazing dinner. You can really see why Stubborn Seed has a Michelin star. Everything was on point, from the food to the service. Very well-deserved Michelin star. Food and service are absolutely at that level. Would definitely come back.
Where to begin, oh where to begin: I was looking forward to this meal for months. my wife and I got married a few days ago and were celebrating our mini moon with chef Jeremy and the SS team. The food was incredible throughout (albeit the cheese course was lacking). my wife has a severe nut allergy and what turned into a good night went bad quick. the quick notes: 1. We explained the nut allergy multiple Times and waitstaff brought out food representing it was nut free only for another waiter to say, “that’s wrong there’s almonds in that.” After multiple reprompts. 2. Incredibly rude waiter who had words with me trying to justify his representation. 3. Wacky waiters who didn’t know what the one hand was saying, multiple incorrect assertions. 4. Another nut mishap within six minutes of one another 5. The wine list displayed the wrong “Stag’s Leap” (two very different wineries). The waiters never heard of either winery. All of this is to say that their service was laughable and took me out of the entire experience. great food but to me a restaurant that will without a doubt lose their star soon.
Nothing here was terrible, but nothing was great either. The portions were so small that my wife and I were still hungry and each got a slice of pizza at Nick’s, right down the street, immediately after leaving. Typically when I leave a multi-course meal at a Michelin starred restaurant, I feel stuffed - this was the extreme opposite. We paid $50 to upgrade the lamb to Wagyu and it was maybe 1.5 bites for the $50. Additionally, some of the “courses” are bites you would typically see listed as an amuse bouche, palate cleanser, or “gift from the chef” - not a course. The menu listed 9 courses (not counting the properly labeled “intermezzo”), but it was really 5. The pros: - The sauce with sea bass course was excellent. I see some reviews complaining about the quality of the fish, but we thought it was good. - The dessert course was creative and very good. - The foie gras course was a creative play on peanut butter and jelly that actually worked very well. - The intermezzo (or palate cleanser) was maybe the best thing served. - The cocktails were creative and reasonably priced, but it’s a minimalistic menu. - They did seem to be searching for genuine feedback on the dishes. Cons - The $50 upgraded wagyu course was lukewarm/cold when served to us. I suspect it sat in the back a while before being served. - The “crab & spring pea tart” tasted like lemon and nothing else. It was an extremely heavy-handed treatment of a delicate ingredient. Marylanders would be offended by the abuse of that ingredient. - The beef tartare was covered with way too much kimchi such that you could only taste the kimchi. - The “sun-kissed” oyster was way overly charred. - The servings were so small that my wife and I each got a slice of pizza next door after. For context she is about 5’1 and 110 pounds - so a small person to still be very hungry after a meal. - We waited about 30 minutes for the dessert and another 20 to pay the tab (with no drinks or anything) after we were finished and all dishes had been cleared. Given the price and the Michelin Star, I was expecting more. We’ve been to about 15 Michelin starred restaurants in the US and abroad and this would be second from the bottom of the list.
Hugely disappointing for a Michelin starred place. Food flavors clashed & fought one another. Example: Foie gras was their take on PB&J, but the flavor & texture of foie gras was overwhelmed by peanuts & sweet. In general too much salt used in everything from bread course to yellowtail crudo. 9-courses included Amuze bouche, intermezzo & bread (so really only 6 courses). Wine pairings fell flat. Wine list very limited with poor selection by the glass. Service was slow & spotty. Poor seating w/ crowded small tables made the experience even less enjoyable.

I had high expectations for Stubborn Seed given its Michelin star, but our 9-course tasting menu during Art Basel week was disappointing. A week before our reservation, the restaurant canceled our original 3-course menu and forced us to upgrade to a more expensive 9-course option — not a great look & felt like a cash grab. We were seated at the worst table, right next to the front door and in front of the bar. Every guest walking in and out of the restaurant likely bumped my right shoulder. Another guest seated by the bar had a dog inside the restaurant. The dog was fed at the bar and had its water bowl placed on the bar surface — a blatant health code violation that staff ignored. The ambiance was so dark it was hard to appreciate the food presentation. Service was slow (over 4 hours for 9 courses), staff struggled with dish descriptions, and one course may have been skipped entirely. One dessert arrived with the ice cream falling off the plate, the server shrugged it off, no effort to fix. Some dishes were tasty, but the overall experience didn’t match the $900 price tag or the prestige. If you’re used to high-end tasting menus, this one may disappoint.
Great atmosphere, very good service, we had with my wife Miami Spice menu with wine pairing for me. The wine pairing was great, crudo starter was great but the main courses were so oversalted that we needed extra botlle of water. Great idea by the dishes with a lot of components but so salty you can barely can say what is what especialy in the beef dish
did instagram become a tool for running a restaurant? the host or manager at the front was preoccupied. The food tasted fine but we waited a long time for plates to arrive and it should be better than fine for those prices. the bathrooms were in poor condition. Loved it last time I came. this felt recycled and watered down.
