Our waitress, Sammy was very sweet! She smiled easily and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We really enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent! We got the 2 for $20 meals. Mozarrella Sticks, Spinach & Artichoke (grilled) Chicken Cavatappi, and Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. Mmm.

I don't know if they had a change in management or what but we ate there the past 2 nights. Friday and Saturday night and the food was fresh and hot, the service was friendly, thorough and quick. The music Friday night was mostly country, the music Saturday was mostly classic rock. It wasn't too loud. Everything just seemed way better than previous times where the wait took forever, the service was slow and the food was terrible. Not these past 2 nights (Dec. 9 & 10, 2022) Keep it up Applebee's on Towne Blvd in Middletown, OH!

Had a amazing experience tonight and just wanted to say that it's been one of the best ones I have been too and ill definitely be back. Just wanted to say I had another great experience i come in all the time and just had the best grilled chicken ever from here. I asked the manager on duty who made it and she said it was a guy named Gary so this guy definitely needs a raise if he always cooks this good I want more already. The manager chastity was very sweet and told me she would let him know.

Ribs were magnificent! Paired with a beer it was great. Sitting at the bar was just fine. Didn’t have to wait for a table.

All I can say, it was absolutely amazing💞. My family and I went out for dinner for the first time in a while, and when we came, we were seated in a nice corner booth. Our waitress, Jessi, was phenomenal. She was beyond sweet, checked up on us regularly, and had an amazing attitude (including all of the other ladies we've had), that definitely made us want to come back soon! She even recommended me a meal that I am STOKED to try the next time I come back. Our food was absolutely delicious. I get the same thing every single time I go; boneless wings with the hot honey glaze, 4-cheese mac side. My family was satisfied with their meals & their desserts (sizzlin' butter pecan Blondie).I can't believe it's taken so long for me to finally write a review for this place. She was more than patient with us while also giving us a great example of what each item tasted like and was good with. Edit: Applebee's made this right. They contacted me and provided me with a coupon. So I went back and ordered the neighborhood nachos again. Although I don't have a picture, they were perfect! Thank you Applebee's for being awesome! This is what you get from Middletown Applebee's for $12.99. No sour cream, no guacamole. I called and they wanted me to drive back across town for the items missing but refused to make me a new order. This will be my last time ordering there.

Love this Applebee's location! Great food, not always super packed where you have to wait forever, & wonderful servers! Also come here alot with my kids & my oldest is autistic, which can be a problem at times with restaurants. Every time we come here though the servers are SUPER sweet to him, answering all his questions & listening to him talk about his favorite super heros. Service was great but not from our waiter. Told me the MTN Dew Blue Bash was not available because they were having issues but then I saw another person get it at another table. I wasn’t feeling too well, I got food poisoning from the previous night and had to immediately use the bathroom because I was about to vomit, I got to the trashcan at the end of the hallway and threw up in it. Whoever the young man who was working at 1:30-ish who came to check on me was very thoughtful. He said it happens all the time and understands since they have a bar. Thank you, so much.

Great food! Great atmosphere! Not so much on the service this time. The server could not recall items we requested. He kept asking us to repeat our requests. Had I thought about it, I would have suggested that he keep a small note pad with him for quick reminder notes. This helped me in my past waitress jobs. He was pleasant though, and that did help some. Overall, it was a good experience.

I did takeout at Applebee's in Middletown and when I got home which is less than 5 miles away my food was cold, I also had to wait in the restaurant 15 additional minutes so my food should've been hot. I called and told the lady I spoke with what happened and she said we can remake it. I thought that was nice but when picking up the remake they charged me because whoever put the credit in the books wrote 2 for $25 instead of the $32.99 I paid and because of that I was told I had to talk to the General Manager. I called the next day and was told he'll be in tomorrow, called the next day and was told the same thing, called the next day and a lady answered and hung up on me so I called back and a lady puts a Kitchen Manager on and he says I should see my money in 1 to 2 days well today makes day 3, very unprofessional. Today is May 9, 2025 and Mr. James who is the General Manager reached out to me and resolved my problem, Mr. James was very professional and I am very happy with the outcome.

I ordered a chicken tenders plate, a side of pickle fries, and a double bacon cheeseburger plain. I went with carside to go since we wanted to eat at home. They don't bring the food out themselves when the temps are low, that's fine I can walk 20 feet for food. They some how didn't read the order of remove everything but cheese. My plain burger is always messed up everywhere I go lol. The burger ended up tasting good (sans bottom bun, was covered in mayo). My son was happy with his chicken tenders. Overall food was good but, the portion size for to go is much smaller then eating there. (At the same cost)!

We ordered 2 streaks medium and we got 2 well done. I gave mine to my husband bc I had had a tooth pulled recently and knew I couldn't chew enough for that hard piece of meat. They had no baked potatoes, and I can't have milk, so I ordered broccoli and got some onion rings to give to hubby. The kitchen remade my steak and it was PERFECT! If I was able to base my review off food alone I would probably give only 1 star & that would be only because I had to. Our family had placed an over-the-phone to go order for 5 people and the gentlemen taking the order was fantastic besides after putting me on hold he never returned to the phone with my total which no big deal after several minutes went by I called back. Half Slab of ribs were extremely burnt, Medium Rare Steak was cooked all the way through, Fries were very cold and I ate them as soon as I got back in the car, Mac n Cheese was dry, and broccoli was very much over cooked, Chicken Quesadillas you couldn't even chew. On a good note the mash potatoes were fabulous. 😬 Very Disappointed with the food this time around and I've never had anything negative to say about this restaurant after years of being a returning customer.

The service from the waitress was great....but the food was a different story. Steak so raw inside I couldn't eat it , dry, powdery "garlic" mashed potatoes that were NOT garlicky, broccoli with no flavor. I was not in the mood to complain...just took the stuff home and cooked it. By the way, those shiny take home containers melt in the microwave.

I was not happy because they were out of ribs, but cooking more, ordered something else, but by the time our order came, the ribs by that time would have been close to being done, I would have waited. No smile on the waiters face, he didn't write anything down but we all got the correct orders..

While prices have went up the quality of food and service is just not what it used to be. They allow waitresses to have fingernails so long that they touch your salad or soup. They still don’t bring out plates with your appetizers. Bathrooms are always destroyed. Hostess aren’t nearly as friendly as before. This was the dirtiest Applebees I have ever been in. From the floors to the booth backs, black grimey build up. We went on a Sunday evening, realizing it may be busier than usual. Even though the restaurant was less than half full, we were told we still had to wait since only 3 servers were on duty. Sat down, ordered soup, salad and sandwich. After 45 minutes with only water delivered as our drinks, we still couldn’t even get soup and salad while e Antone else around us, even those who came in after us, were served. Waitress was not accessible nor could we get her attention. After almost an hour, we got up and walked out, asking to see the mgr. Even that request on deaf ears. We will never go back to this location.

When we came in we were sat right away. Once we ordered and got our food the waitress ignored us from there on out. We had Hailey M. No drink refills no telling us it's a charge ro have a tiny container of ranch or blue cheese dipping sauce for our wings even though ir doesn't say this in the menu either. We had to flag down another person who seemed a bit frustrated and put put herself foe having to go find our waitress. When she did come up she still ignored us and spoke to a couple at another table. She wasn't friendly she didn't ask if we wanted deserts she was grumpy when asked to get take home boxes. My mom was choking and asked for water and she left and came back empty handed. Yep that's it. This place has been going down hill and loosing customers and today they lost me and my family.

I have been going to this restaurant for 2 years and I always see the poor hygiene of one of its employees, who when bringing food puts his fingers in the plate, and not only that, but also with long and dirty nails.

Absolutely horrible service, this place has gone down hill and then when you call and speak not only to one manager but two none of them want to do anything. There should never be a time that you sit at your table for over 40 minutes and not be asked what you want to eat, exspecially since the restaurant was not even busy five table in entire store they were all catered to but out table was not, in drinks and appetizers we spent alone 22.87, and they wanna not do anything for the crap service and the sitting there for over 40 minutes with only drinks. How sad can one restaurant be to sit there and treat people who come into their establishment like that. I'll say this I probably will never be back. Exspecially since 2 managers did not want to fix the problem. Absolutely disgraceful. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

We for the 2 and time in 3 weeks we tried the Middletown Applebee's and for the 2nd time we walked out after standing at the hostess stand for 10 minutes w/o being acknowledged.. and I don't see the possibility for a 3 strike ....the first time the store was pretty empty. 2-3 employees walked by us w/o glancing our way or welcoming us...then those employees disappeared...3 other couples walked in behind and after a short period they asked us if we had been approached. A few minutes later we left followed by 2 of the other customers...fast forward to today after about 5 minutes and several employees passing by us, a young man came by to say if will be a few more minutes.he disappears and then about 10 minutes later I see him struggling with tables in the far end of the restaurant for the party that was sitting in the waiting area. He finally came back and engaged the couple that came in just prior to his return, asking them what was the size of their party. I spoke up and reminded we were here first. His response was that other table was for the party before us, no related to the party that had just walked in... I am sorry but the customer service here is pitiful....maybe a manager is needed to over see this store's operation because it seemed like " the kids were running the store" Don't see a return to this store!!

We went to Applebees for a late lunch. The music was so loud that we could not hear the waitress. We told her we needed to move for this reason. My mother struggles with steps which is obvious. We were moved to the next level which required her to go up steps. Really? Would it have not been easier to display good customer service and turn the music down? Obviously you don’t need our business.

Waited forever on food and service. My shrimp were about the size of nickels, all 5 of them. The waitress was nice but it took an hour and a half from start to finish. I doubt I'll go back.

Every time we go is slow service n food always wrong.. Well been over a yr thought give it another chance.. ordered a well done steak, it came rare so sent it back n it came back very pink again so tired again,, the edges were burnt n inside pink. My son was done with his n my taters was cold by now so opted to leave.. Manager was nice but seemed unbothered.. Will not be back!

Server Doug completely horrible he is very slow as hell left my dads debit card unattended left it at the counter and walked away does not know how to do his job he needs to be fired we will not be back

They say they have curb side pick up but please do not think that’s true. You will have to go inside to get your order and you’ll see several staff members sitting at the same table by the bar, even the ones Who are supposed to be doing curb side pickup. I also suggest checking the order prior to leaving. Thankfully I did as my order was wrong and the food was not remotely worth the money. Look elsewhere.

I ordered bourbon street steak meals car side to go and they were extremely well done. The time before that my husband and I ate inside the Applebee’s restaurant in Middletown Ohio and it was the worst experience ever our food was overcooked and the margarita my husband ordered from the bar had a hair in it and when we showed the server he said he would get a new one, not only did the red headed bartender have her hair down but she got nasty with the server over having to remake it but we could hear her from the table we were sitting at near the front door. When he brought it back to the table it had no alcohol in it what so ever, he offered to get a new one but we declined and left that one sit. Keep in mind that people working in restaurants are supposed to have their hair up when working around food. I spoke to Manager named Chasity after submitting a complaint on the app, she kindly helped me and gave me a $80 credit for the next time we ordered. The day after another manager which was a male called me to check on my complaint because he said it showed nobody had followed up, I explained to him that Chasity had followed up and I told him a way to make sure the To Go steaks don’t overcook and he said if that works it would be a good changer. I called Applebee’s in Middletown Ohio today June 29, 2025 to redeem my credit, the first time I got hung up on by someone named James so I called back and he actually stayed on the phone but wouldn’t honor the credit that was given to me. Applebee’s has seriously gone down hill it used to be a great family fun dining place that my family loved to go to but after 3 bad experiences we will find a new place to enjoy.

We haven't been to Applebee's for a very long time, because of service and quality of food. But thought we would give it another try. I'm sorry that we wasted our time. Nothing has changed, we waited 10 minutes noone came to even take drink orders. Did not want to waste anymore of my day. We left very disappointed with Applebee's that we will never return to any of them. They should consider closing their doors and selling the building's

I don't know what to say about service . The kitchen did awesome . Our waitress was awesome. There were other employees hanging out and the stereo for the whole restaurant was blasted. I asked nicely to turn it down because it was 7:00 in the evening and I'm tired and just want quiet . Not even quiet I just don't want to feel like I'm at da club on volume 11. I'm at Applebee's . There was probably 10 customers there and 10 employees and they were just having a good old time . The manager pulled our plates when we were about to ask for the check . Just because we were complaining about the unnecessarily loud music . We tipped the waitress and left .

I use to frequent this location a lot but over the past few visits they habitually mess up a simple order. A chicken fajita roll up only chicken bacon and cheese. I'll get a normal roll up, only cheese, no bacon, and this time no chicken. I can verify it's not the person taking my order it's the cooks who apparently can't read or follow simple directions. UPDATE: 6/21/2023 this location is still absolutely pathetic the management is lazy and possibly a tax write off that gets dropped off to work. The bar refuses to make drinks that you ask for due to laziness they magically don't have the ingredients that's visible.... my roll up had little chicken and I was told it's measured out to 4oz I picked the chicken out and this is not 4oz

Servers were great, food was mid at best, the Mac n cheese and Alfredo were terrible. The building, interior and restrooms were awfule

Just got a pick up order and was very disappointed. Ribs were overcooked like they were just microwaved and not even sauced on every slab. Several slabs had little to no sauce. The greenbeans were rubbery and bland. The cinnamon roll dessert seemed like it had been sitting quite some time. I arrived before my order was due and ready, so it's not like it was delayed from me not picking up on time. I also live about 10 minutes away so there was no real warmth loss on the drive. Will not be eating from here again considering how expensive this dinner was. As I mentioned, pretty disappointed.

Molly the lady the waiting on us was very very good The kitchen burned the ribs we sat there 3 hours waiting on food Molly kept apologizing some people got their food The kitchen services terrible The manager was very disrespectful as a young man that waited on us to that was disrespectful I we had a large party which I understand it takes time but it was over two and a half almost 3 hours before people got food One one server to work for 25 The young lady who was our server did a excellent excellent job her name was Molly I really felt sorry for our server she kept apologizing she did an excellent job

Friday night experience, not to busy. order the chicken parmesan Fettuccine. my lady got a chicken Quesadilla. her food came out great, tasted amazing ! mine on the other hand wasn’t so great. i’m not the one to complain about food, but the chicken tasted and looked like it was frozen, hard robbery just wasn’t right. the fettuccine was okay a little bland. but not bad, bread was good. server came over two times including seating us! we asked for the check and some boxes, i paid left a 15% tip. tip total was 5.92. we left and went about are night, to later find out i was charged a additional 25.92. which seemed odd and fishy. i tried calling no one answers at any time of the business hours. i’m not one to accuse but just seems off that i gotta second charge 25.92$ like someone dropped a 2 in front of the 5! anyways don’t recommend tipping with card whiling dining in. do not recommend this location.

I've been to this location quite a few times since it's near my house. Last night was my final time. Walked in and told the host two people. He sat us at a table, and I asked him for a booth. In a very hateful tone, he said "that's all I got that section is closed." And walked away. Talked to the manager on duty and her response was very unconvincing, she only said "I will talk to him", no apology no nothing.

My finance and I went here for a date night. We both ordered the steak and shrimp with zucchini. Our steaks were so raw they were purple on the insides. The waitress took them back to cook them longer but when she brought them back out they were THE SAME. I couldn’t even cut through it, it was so raw. She took my steak off the bill but didn’t offer for me to get anything else so I left still hungry. Manger also never came over to our table. Terrible experience.

The food was a terrible and under cooked. And the manager did not seem to care. He had already been dealing with angry customers complaining about their food. I would not go in this building again if it was all free !!! And the manager was rude to multiple customers probably upset about the bad food.... Do yourself a favor and avoid this disaster.....

My boyfriend took me out for lunch for my birthday (today) and the place was dirty the food was disgusting and the waiter seemed like she was arguing with someone on her phone she seemed aggravated and got a little rude with us but once she saw the look on my face she very quickly changed her attitude. We were so disgusted we couldn't eat our food and we ended up leaving. We did pay her a tip but she didn't deserve one from us. We won't be back do better Applebee's $66 was wasted

I ordered $50 worth of takeout including tip and the quality of the food is horrible. Nobody ever brought my food out so I had to go in, no big deal. The steak is mushy and pink when it’s supposed to be well done, the burger is also supposed to be well done and was not. I am pregnant and cannot eat anything that is not fully cooked very disappointing and disgusted. Lemonade was supposed to be peach flavored and it is not. Attempted to call the restaurant but did not get an answer. I suggest going to west Chester or springboro.
