I haven't been to Panera in years, but I decided to give it a try again last week. The food was phenomenal, and any sandwich can be made to be vegetarian which is great.
Went there yesterday for lunch. Was my second time there so I didn't think I would be disappointed. I Had the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The service was also good!
Absolutely excellent meals. Staff is amazing 👍👍 Prices are reasonable. Tend to be busy from noon to three but service is very efficient. I highly recommend Middletown location 👍👍
I placed 3 separate orders and everything was ready in about 10 minutes!
I give this place a five because I love their soup. I did get it in a bread bowl which was ok but hard, soup would have been better by itself. Very friendly staff.
Love it! Soo good, quick makes, awesome breads. Now the French baguette does get hard as a rock after 24hrs so eat it quickly. Don't care for the pickled onions I believe they are on the steak sandwich and it was on the Cobb salad as well, which soaked the flavor threw everything in it. Now I know for next time to have them leave it off. Just not my families particular taste. But everything else has been awesome. The turkey avocado blt amazing, I'm a fan favorite of the chipoltle chicken avocado sandwich and the Baja bowls, which I get extra to take to work the next day and they heat up well. My kids love the chicken noodle soup. The Mac and chz was a hit, broccoli and cheese soup yummy. The breads make it so worth it. I've been purchasing the family meal that has 4 half sandwiches, quart of soup, whole salad and whole baguette family loves it and we usually have leftovers for work the next day. Cracked my drink cup getting in the car and staff was quick to replace it with a new cup, thanks so much! Will keep coming back!
My favorite place to eat and I always get the mac and cheese with a grilled cheese sandwich. It's the best!! The store is clean and the associates are friendly. Definitely recommend.
Food was good, reasonably priced.Staff courteous. Soup could have been hotter served left soup on counter while waiting for pizza to cook. He graciously gave us another bowl when we let him know it wasn't hot
Got their tuna, yum! Only problem was there was too much bread for me. Service was good, I had to wait for my sandwich. This is a new location and it was very busy.
Always hot, always ready. I have had nothing but good experiences here. Just picked up my 10th? Order from this location. The chicken noodle soup is my go-to when not feeling so well and I don’t want to cook. The portions are generous and the bread is always fresh! Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Went opening day, and while they were working on orders I directly observed the Manager fill orders himself. When an order took a little too long, I even watched the manager offer a free pastry to the customer who was waiting. This has been a great addition to the MOT area. Panera, thank you for coming!
The girl behind the counter when I walked in was so sweet and friendly. This was my first time in this Panera AND my first time in one in many, many years...probably 10 or so. I've never had one close enough to be a regular customer. The combo I ordered (homestyle chicken soup and half chicken avocado sandwich) was so tasty! The soup was properly skimmed, delicious and hot. The sandwich was equally as good. The coffee was good, but not great. I had a large amount of grounds when I reached the last bit. I'll definitely go again, though. I was with a friend and we both forgot to get pics of our food. We were too busy catching up. 😁
Great place for a good and healthy lunch. Food items are fresh and well prepared. Service is cafeteria style with self-service. The restaurant is clean and well lit with plenty of seating at tables. If you are seeking great ambiance, you won't find it there. If salads, soups, and sandwiches are what you seek, this place is for you.
A newer Panera that is bright, and has a more open feeling than older Paneras. My wife ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, and I ordered a Southwestern Caesar with chicken. Both included a section of a baguette. The salads were fresh and flavorful. I have not been impressed with many of the Panera locations, but this restaurant was an excellent experience.
I would like to thank the assistant manager Joe for going above and beyond in customer service..He handled a situation with professionalism and swiftness. My friend and I could of had a ruined dining experience but Joe made it a very enjoyable one. So much, I forgot to take pics of the meal that was so delicious. I will be returning
Super easy experience. I ordered at the kiosk and left my phone number to get a text when the order was ready. I received a text a few minutes later and grabbed my order from the counter. Everything was great!
Ordered the new chicken sandwich. Got to pick what I wanted on the sandwich. The chicken was very tender and delicious. A bag of chips was included. Also ordered was the pepperoni flatbread. That was very good too. I would highly recommend this place. Enjoyed everything we ate.
Our food was amazing. First time stopping at this store. My sandwich was overflowing with chicken and bacon. Glad we decided to eat in store and not while on the road. We got there at 12 noon. By 12:17 the place was full.
Probably the nicest Panera I've ever been to. I always get a veggie version of the bacon turkey bravo with a side of Asian Sesame Dressing. It never disappoints. The green tea is a mild addiction and those orange scones are dangerous. So simple yet so good. My son absolutely loves the Mac and cheese (only gave 4 stars because of one occasion it was incredibly runny) but still tasted fine. The brocoli cheese soup always hits the spot and we love the sides of baguette. 🤌🏻
I don’t know what you guys order but the blueberry lemonade has been amazing! I love the broccoli and cheese soup and their steak and cheese sandwich always hits the spot! My child loves the mac and cheese! We don’t come often but when we do that’s our orders and we love it! No complaints! One time we got a free cookie because my kid is cute I think haha!
The food was great. There was one person behind the counter, and this was my first time there, and she seemed annoyed that i didn't know what to do with the kiosk ordering. We figured it out, tho I never did figure out what her job was since she didn't seem to want to help anyone and just stood there the whole hour we were present
The order came out fairly quick, tasty and hot. But how do you rate service when you order from a kiosk and pick it up at the counter to take it to your table! Well I suppose it was 👍 OK. We have been to several Panera Breads in different cities and we can depend on them to be consistant quality. We definitely enjoyed our meal. Carl in Dover
My order is always quickly made and DoorDash delivers it perfectly. I get the turkey / cheese sandwich and broccoli soup (I don’t eat broccoli this is the only soup I would eat ) it’s just amazing . The Mac n cheese is good just particular taste it’s white cheddar so it’s rich .
This is my third time in this location and we are simple persons who enjoy quality in our food. The time of delivery for take out was on time, the food was what we expected according our order, very delicious. The 2 details were the next: the welcome from the staff, the lady was nice but our first 2 visits before the staff was friendly and enthusiastic; the second detail was the new or seasonal items were sold out even in the beginning of the season and we went there just because we wanted to try them. The good thing is we also checked the app if they were available or not, and decided to get other choices of the menú
Middletown Delaware is always great. Cranberry, Walnut Chicken salad sandwich on tomato basil bread was perfect. I had pick 2 with French Onion soup and it was perfect to. Looking around today all the salads people had looked really good and looked really big. This is my favorite Panera Bread.
I really appreciate the bagels and food wrapped in paper instead of of Aluminum because studies has showed it harms or health in hormones etc other bagel shops in Middletown don’t take this seriously.. I really impressed you do it correctly! We do need gluten free bagels no seed oils or corn products please we love more gf options please ! Who makes theses decisions? Ginger hot tea and stevia and almond milk please 😊
First time at this Panera Bread location. The restaurant seemed to be farely new since everything was up to date and clean. There were a couple of kiosks for ordering when we walked in. The food was good and the service was quick. Our food was ready fast. Everything was good, but the overall price seemed high, may be due to inflation. I love the green tea at Panera, which I always get.
Panera Bread Middletown Delaware, the restaurant serves a great meal. The other day, it was my first time in the restaurant. They offer a cozy, super clean dining space. I was impressed by the comfort, service staff and the natural light flooding the restaurant. The food, I always wondered why Panera's Bread was so good. Well, they cook the bread at the restaurant. The cinnamon rolls and desserts are so fresh and so good. If you want a good meal with a delicious treat, head to Panera Bread. SOUP IS ON, TOO
Staff are awesome. The only reason it's not five stars is because the drive thru line blocks the parking lot. No point in rapid pick-up if there's a car blocking me in.
The roast beef and cheese was very good, but had very little meat for the price. Long haired food preparers wore no hair nets. Things have changed.
Used to get their Tuesday bagel deal often. Tried going online to have ready when I arrived. It was showing the special price but I couldn’t get the purchase to complete. Went in person only to find they do not offer that price at this location. Disappointed.
Good but my drink dispensed wrongly
We stopped so that my husband could get his favorite soup and he was not disappointed. I ordered a favorite of mine, a tuna sandwich and was very disappointed. The tuna salad was the consistency of soup and tasteless.
Coffee cups needs get better. They often loose shape and Coffee spills in hand or in car.
My daughter and I are having a mother/daughter week in O.C. Saturday was a humid, rainy but cooler day. We wanted Panera soup. The line wasn't long, however we waited a long time to get our order in. The cashier was very polite and sweet and I know like everywhere else in this COVID world, they are Very Short- Handed. Our order was taken to eat in. My daughter waited for her smoothie and our food. The order was done fairly fast considering how short handed they were. But it was boxed and bagged for carryout. I don't know if they're using plates and real knives and forks or not. My daughter feels portions are smaller in the carryout containers, so that's why we ordered to eat in. My sandwich & soup were great. My daughter's salad and soup was great too. Hoping and praying more people want to work to fill these jobs. It seems the job seekers just aren't so available in a resort town. We Love Panera. The extra long wait for service and no eating in plates, cups etc were a little disappointing.
Had a decent family dinner. Toasted frontega chicken was my pick of the lot we had. Mac and cheese for kids was a bit less quantity-wise (as compared with the photo on the menu) but tasty nevertheless. Margherita flatbread pizza was loved by the kids. Grilled cheese sandwich was okay (a bit too toasted for our taste).
Too bad they don't have a microwave to heat up the soup. Looks steamy but not that hot.
They tend to be decent more often than not. I just wish the drive thru people would ask if we’re Panera rewards members without me having to say something every single time. It’s literally the same person 60% of the time there too.
This Panera used to struggle with consistency. Also they would be out of items often. In the past 6 months or so they have really turned it around and have become a regular rotation stop for us. Not sure what happened but keep it up.
My first time visiting Panera bread restaurant. Atmosphere was nice and very clean. I got the flat bread, pepperoni pizza and also the chicken sandwich . The chicken sandwich was very good but the pepperoni flatbread pizza needed a little bit more sauce and cheese. Overall very nice place.
The Avacado Chicken Melt was very good. All the flavors really matched and it was just so good. Probably is my new favorite sandwich at panera now. The caesar was also great. It’s a classic that is hard to get wrong and panera did it well. The mac and cheese was also good as always. The flavors always good and i just really enjoyed it. The smoothie was ok. Compared to everything else I would give it a 6/10. What threw me off is the after taste. I understand in most strawberry banana smoothies there is gonna be an after taste. However this one was almost unbearable. But it was still good.
I love panera 😋 but this location never has kitchen sink cookies always sold out an employee told me they only get a limited amount twice a week would be nice to go there an be able to get anything on the menu...
Expensive for what you get. Thank goodness I had a gift card
Self service so service a 1 star....way over priced...and had the new Italian sandwich and salad was not good to me....
Although our food was very good, the service was very slow. We went through the drive through. We were the third car in line and it took almost 25 minutes after placing our order to receive it. Fast food it is not.
Nice location, bright, clean, inviting. Pleasant outside seating. Many food and beverage choices. Good place to get together with friends for a meal or dine alone. Good soups. Food is ok, a step above fast food.
Went in today around 7pm for dinner and got a soup and a warm bowl both were extremely good so no complaint there. My main problem was as I was eating, it was apparent that the manager or at least the one guy in charge in the back was making all the employees feel very uncomfortable. He was pacing around watching everyone over their shoulders and not doing anything but starting task and then walking away. I’m not sure if something happened earlier in the day but I just wanted to leave a review on it in case anyone else has noticed this.
Did not enjoy the food we got, the bread's texture was old and way too hard. The staff wasn't rude or friendly.
First of all this Panera is moderately new so I expected to eventually run into a problem. I’ve come in two- three times (ordered from the kiosk) over the last month and my sandwich’s never have sauce condiments. The food itself is good but I find it weird that it keeps happening, and without the condiments the sandwich is supper dry. As for the soups and the other options I’ve never had a problem. My advice, if a sandwich order has a sauce condiment you should put enough on that you can taste/ see it.
Food is good, but I got a 3 inch sandwich and that's just disrespectful for $6
Dear Panera Management Team, I recently called to inquire about adding red onions and Parmesan cheese to the side of my DoorDash order. During my call, I spoke with an employee named Liz, who informed me that she would try to accommodate the request but stated that she was not going to notify the entire kitchen because they were in the middle of a lunch rush. While I understand that busy periods can be challenging, I believe all customers should receive the same level of service and courtesy, whether they are dining in or placing an order through delivery. I would appreciate it if management could address this matter with Liz to ensure that customer requests and concerns are handled professionally and respectfully, even during peak times. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
My husband and I traveled cross country and we are Sip Club members. The coffee at this location was lukewarm and when I poured almond milk in it looked like it separated like spoiled milk. Also, there were no kiosks to input our Sip Club membership. That seemed very weird to me. So, we had to order from the counter. I love Panera, and this store can definitely use some tweaking.
Ok purchased two sandwiches from Middletown Store today. The taste of the Asiago Tuscan, and Spicy are very good. BUT it lacks chicken... absolutely nothing like the advertised photos on tv or in the store. Lucky if it covered half the bagel. I ordered chips with each sandwich and when I ask about the chips the lady wasn't the most pleasant.. "it doesn't come with chips!" I said I ordered and paid for them and showed her my receipt. As she tossed them on the counter. For $20.xx plus tip. Not happy.. I usually write positive reviews but can't do it here. Middletown, DE location
I knew Panera was changing their menu starting in April. I did not expect the grain bowl I ordered to be a cold bowl. The warm grain bowls are gone. I couldn't eat my food. I would not have ordered it if it had been properly labeled. The restaurant was clean. The bite I had was very tasty. My only complaint is the labeling and lack of warm bowls.
When I got there they didn’t have any large cups even though I paid for them, had to wait for cup Carriers, had to wait for straws, forgot all the bread, Mac and cheese and gave no silverware. Do better.
Bad review due to barely any chicken. The chipotle chicken avocado melt had maybe 1 ounce of chicken. No wonder the restaurant is empty almost every time I go in there. Anything other than baked goods is a waste of money.
First time at this location and used the drive thru. Waited 15 minutes for 2 salads and one side of soup. Once we arrived home, our chicken cob salads were unfortunately just lettuce with a few small pieces of the ingredients that should have been included. The free baguettes were also missing from the bag. Items were not worth the price, nor up to standard compared to other Panera locations we have visited in the past. Additionally, the drive thru workers were condescending in tone and initially mixed up our order with the car behind us. Will not be returning.
I'm not sure why they still have cashiers or anyone working up front. You order from a kiosk. You get your own pager and drink. The only thing they did was make my sandwich. The kiosk asks if you want to tip. I'm usually a very generous tipper. However, what service did they do?
Placed a curbside pick up order an hour in advance, had to wait for half an hour to receive an order because the place was too "backed up", plus only to find out already when got home that they gave the wrong soup which I can't even eat. What a waste of time and money. I love Panera, but won't come to this location unless I'm really desperate. If you can't handle all these coming in orders, just don't take them. I'd rather go somewhere else to begin with than go through these troubles
I understand this location just opened recently, thought I would give it a shot as I love the food. However, I waited in the drive-thru for 50 minutes, completely unacceptable. Great food, very nice customer service, but you need to work on speed.
Very inconsistent. I got the barbeque chicken sandwich 2 weeks ago and it was great. I got it again today and I'm trying to figure out if it's a different sandwich because it is not good at all. I did the rapid pick up and they gave me the incorrect salad. No biggie because they replaced it with the correct one. I'm just glad I checked the bag before I left the store.
How does Panera Bread still in business? The bread in their name should mean they specialize in breads. They are so processed and made from (frozen?) ready dough that you regret buying it, especially at the eye-watering prices they charge with a straight face!
15 minutes for a grilled cheese is crazy
Since they got rid of the black bean soup there is basically no vegan option. Which is strange because when I search for vegan restaurants Panera always shows up.
Bad service. They don't know what they have available. I asked for bread bowl and was told they were out. Person behind me ordered bread bowl and they had plenty left. Then as I waited they never called my name and order sat there for 5 minutes when someone told me it might be at window. Horrible service.
Terrible branch!!! Waited at the window for more than 15mins after placing my drive thru order without anyone even opening the window to tell me a single word or even an apology that they are busy or anything!!!!! took the order after 20mins!!!!!!!! TERRIBLE DRIVE THRU EXPERIENCE
They left a chicken caesar salad out of my order and I had to drive back because I had clients coming for lunch. The chicken was so embarrassingly skimpy that I had to broil a piece of chicken to add to the salad to make it presentable. $9.00 for a big bowl of lettuce and 1.5 ounces of super-thin sliced chicken - supposedly a "full size" salad.
This place is terrible. I've tried three times now. Chicken was raw and cold. Some staff is polite. The rest are arrogant. Flatbread is undercooked and ice cold. Green juice is all juice and no veggies. They can't even toast a bagel right. Also the drive through will take you about 35-40 mins. Good luck
If you wanna eat somewhere for soups I rather go to “Zoups!” Customer service is nicer than here, workers rolling their eyes at you when you ask them for anything, workers bitching and complaining about their jobs even life outside of work! No one wants to hear that! The fact that they hate how busy they are on Sundays and rather have customers go somewhere else!
I am so disappointed with this location. I have visited this Panera Bread four times and my all of orders my have been incorrect every time. From missing items, sandwiches made incorrectly, wrong dressings for the salad or hair in my food, not reall sure which is worse. 😖 I think there is a challenge with cooks reading the order instructions and/or the baggers are not checking the orders to make sure the order is correct. It is unfortunate becuase I LOVE Penera Bread, but it is so frustrating when your oder is wrong time after time. 😫 I will not be visiting this location ever again. Thinking the staff needs more training or the staff needs remedial reading classes.
There is an employee by the name Daniel that gets in personal space when visiting and makes rude comments while trying to come a cross as funny. He has done this multiple times now to my girlfriend and I which makes us very uncomfortable. I’m not sure if he means well, but I think he needs some extra customer service training.
This location is extremely slow. I waited in the drive thru for at least 5mins before I ordered... paid for my items at 5:38 and waited until 5:51 thats when I asked for a refund because my order still wasn't ready. Reading other customers review I see this is a common problem at this location. Will not be returning.
Went through the drive through. 3 people staring at me through the window. Before a nice girl finally came up. She was super kind and split my smoothie into 2 cups for my 2 kiddos. But I got a kids grilled cheese and it was ONE slice of cheese in between 2 insanely thick slices of bread. There's no way that's $6 at Panera. No way at all. Absolutely horrific pricing.
Come here all the time. Recently came for breakfast and it took almost 30min. I then asked Liz the manager about my order, she then started yelling loud at me about how busy they were and a few other things. Told her that’s not nice. People these days!!!!
I'm writting you because I'm so upset and disappointed of the service that I received last night, I'm a value customer that loves panera bread but last night 02/12/2025 I went to one of your location at" 584 Middletown Warwick Rd, Middletown, DE 19709" aroubd 8:45 pm and I ordered two chicken chipotle avocado melts, I told the girl that was taking my orddr that please put extra extra chipotle aoli dressing on the sandwich and to put no zetsy red peppers and no cilantro, they did on both, my sandwiches were wrong but what concerned me the most was that when I when to the pick up window to get my order I asked for dressing in a really nice way because nono of my sandwiches had no dressing on it even when I asked for extra, so the same girl that took my order her name is "Mia" laughed at me and had an attitude she walked to the back and grabbed me 2 small cups so I please asked her for extra, she gave me attitude and said that I made an mistake, there were 3 other employees there just laughing at my face, the employee "Mia" gave me more dressing and said to me "there is no reason to had an attitude and act like a that" all the employees laughed at me again and she slapped the drive thru window at me, I waited because the employees keep laughing at me and making sings with there hand at me, she opened the window again and said " We close at 9, moved out the way" then she said to me " Called the store if you want our manager is not going to do nothing" and slapped the window at me again. I'm really piss and disappointed I can't belive that somebody with that behavior is working on customer service specially when I wasn't rude to her, I was buying food and I'm sure that I don't deserve to be treated like that, nobody deserve to be treated in that way. The staff is completely rude but that girl "Mia" is so rude and had a really bad attitude, really really bad customer service, If I could give 0 starts I would, I would appreciate if you reach back to me Thanks you
I went through the drive thru and ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee with milk and no sugar. What I got was a bagel in a bag toasted unwrapped, nothing on it and a black coffee. No napkins. The Middletown store service was slow, not friendly, and found a way to screw up a really easy order. I usually like Panera so it may just be this store but the service was sloppy.
I went through drive through for a quick sesame bagel with CC and received a plain bagel with no cc. When I called the manager - Liz, she informed me she was short staffed and wasn’t interested in hearing specifics but let me know her staff was doing the best they could and eventually hung up when I attempted to coach her up on customer service skills. I don’t plan to visit again in my lifetime.
We have had so many problems with this fast food restaurant. We ordered tonight One of the orders was for a combo & they forgot the soup. All she got was the salad. I don't know what kind of idiots they have working for them. Will never ordered from them again, this is the 3rd time they have done this to us. And going into into the store they are so slow before you get your ordered.
Turn off the air conditioning! It's 30 degrees outside there shouldn't be cold air blowing in the cafe right now.
Extremely slow drive through every time I’ve tried to pull through. Like 20 minutes per car. Not worth it
I ordered ahead and went to drive-thru to pick up the order. The guy was nice but little did I know later that day that I noticed thar I was given a dirty and USED bag that had a strand of long grey hair with crumbs or dandruff at the bottom of the bag. Of course my apple was at the bottom and covered in whatever it was so EVERYONE PLEASE CHECK THE INSIDE OF THE BOTTOM OF THE BAG! I lost my appetite to even eat the food and take it for lunch today :-(
I have given this Panera Bread multiple chances and finally have to surmise that the experience is just not going to be good. Recently, I contacted customer support because the size of my sandwich was half of what I expected. I heard from the manager right away and he was very nice and apologetic. He said I could come back to the store for a refund. A few days later, I went to the store for the refund. There was only one worker at the counter, Christine. She helped the pickup order than asked how she could help me. I began explaining that I talked to the manager and she cut me off and said with attitude "so, you need a refund." I said yes and I may need a manager. Since she was being rude in cutting me off and a lot of people were starting to come in. She claimed she was the manager but looked confused when I pulled up the refund on my phone. After some time, she got it done but was not pleasant to deal with at all. I'm not gonna try with them again. There are too many great restaurants in Middletown for me to keep trying with them. The manager I spoke with on the phone was very nice but the store experience is just always lacking.
Went to pick up a mobile order from the drive thru, order was wrong. I reversed since no one was behind me, explained what was wrong with the order. Girl working said ok, she cut me a new bagel and then handed me a new bagel through the drive thru window. No bag, not even a napkin wrapped around it. I was disgusted, most people like to wash their hands before eating or touching their own food-
I had a very disappointing experience. I specifically explained for nearly two minutes that I did not want bacon added to my sandwich, and the staff member assured me that she noted it correctly. However, after going home when I opened my order, the sandwich contained only bacon and nothing else as requested. This was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I hope the management takes better care in handling customer orders moving forward.
It's winter. Turn off the AC. Could enough that soup sitting in the pass turned tepid by the time I picked it up. For clarity, order was placed on the kiosk, last name of 5 on the screen, name or number was never called, and less than 4 minutes passed from placing the order to pickup. How can it possibly cool off that quickly? Avoid sitting inside during colder months or you might freeze. There's nothing "warm or welcoming" about this environment. From freezing air inside during the winter to the lack of greetings from staff to some staff calling out some names but not others when orders are done. Lack of consistency. And not very friendly. Make sure you stand in front of the pass to avoid your food going cold because this employee chose not to call your name for your order but did call the name of the guest who order after you. Crazy
I went to the Panera Bread to order a coffee and a bagel and later. When I got to my room, I found a black foreign object at the bottom of my cup, which I immediately spit out. I took my receipt back to the store and told the cashier, and I got my money back. A couple days later, I had a coupon on the Panera bread Mobil app to purchase an entree and buy a cup of soup for $1.00. The store employees gave me a hard time about redeeming the coupon, they began arguing with me, then lied to me and said that it was expired when it was valid. I was assaulted by some black male, (who appeared homeless and high on drugs). He began threatening me while I was in the store and forced me to leave the public property. I did not appreciate the way I was treated while at the Panera bread and I do not believe people like that should be working in customer service.
I just begun to trust this store again from an incident last year. I ordered a whole salad, and consuming some of it I found a curly hair in it. GROSS. I can remember back in the day when the Health Department required food workers to wear hair nets for this very reason. Now hair is just flying and swinging all over the place. It's back to preparing my own food. Disgusting.
Never again, at this location. I have not been to Panera in years but wanted a fresh salad. With not many good options in Middletown, I decided to try Panera. When ordering, I mentioned this to the cashier who was kind. I waited unnecessarily for my food, wondering why it was taking so long. Entire time, I waited directly in front of the cashier and watched her bring another customer his food. As time went by I began to wonder what was taking so long. Another lady walked up and asked the cashier if her food was ready. She replied that her order would come out of the other window at the end of the restaurant. The lady stated that no one told her that and she didn’t notice the window. I shared the same thoughts. After the customer got her food, she asked my name then informed me that my food was food waiting in the window also. I thanked the lady stating that I wish the cashier told me. The other customer agreed. No one called names to inform customers when orders are ready. No type of alert system. When picking up my food, I informed the lady at the window of my concern. She shrugged and said sorry. After looking in my bag, I notice that my bread was not covered or wrapped but simply bare, next to my salad bowl. No butter either. Salad bowl was not full or tasty. Nothing special.
I went to Panera on 4/3/24. The employee at the drive thru window was a gentleman, professional, friendly, and patient. I ordered the Apple Fiji Salad and the Fontega Chipotle Sandwhich. However, when I got home the sandwhich was #1 prepared sloppy. But the most crucial part is it was NOT real chicken on my sandwhich. It was absolutely GROSS!! It was slimy & wet. A piece of “the chicken” fell onto the wrapper & I thought it was mozzarella cheese; which the sandwhich does not come with cheese. Which lead me to open it up and take a look. What I saw was unbelievable!! I actually started eating the sandwhich. I know the FDA approved the “fake chicken”. This has to be it!! I am appalled Panera would sell this garbage & pass it off as chicken. Please TAP on the photos to see & please tell me what you think!?!!
