Stonehouse is single-handedly responsible for all my “I’ll just stop in real quick” lies. No one leaves quickly. No one. I go in for coffee and suddenly I’ve stayed an hour, eaten way too much, and run into at least three people I know. Every. Single. Time. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in town. The staff are ridiculously friendly. Like remember your face, ask how your life is going, and somehow still bring your food out perfectly friendly. The owners clearly love this place and this community, and it shows in every detail. Nothing feels rushed, forced, or corporate. Everything is warm, welcoming, and very Middletown. Just real people doing a really good job. The food is consistently excellent, whether it is breakfast, lunch, or weekend dinner (yes, they serve dinner now and yes, it is worth planning your weekend around). Breakfast, lunch, and weekend dinner are all solid enough to completely ruin your standards elsewhere. Everything is made by people who actually care if you enjoy it and you will judge other restaurants afterward. Stonehouse is not just a restaurant. It is a social event, a community hub, and a guaranteed “run into someone you know” situation. It is a trap. A very cozy, welcoming, well fed trap. Come hungry. Stay longer than planned. Repeat often. Highly recommend getting caught there.

We love when we can go to Stonehouse; The food is good, staff is friendly and helpful; While the atmosphere and menu has been updated and changed..there's no complaint. We were so happy that our little date breakfast location is open. We've also had dinner at this location and loved what we ordered. We're pretty much creatures of habit and order the same items once we find an item that we like. If you're on the fence about checking this spot out, give it a try - We don't think you'll be disappointed.

I had brunch with my Daughter , Son Inlaw , and Granddaugters which had driven from Pengrove to meet . We sat outside and was immediately served with a smile and genuine welcome . The portions were satisfying and wholesome . They have a boarded yard area with a nice grassy area to enjoy outside which also has a covered area for dining .

The hospitality from Dave, Jana and Lynnette makes you feel like you're part of a functional and caring family, and to top it off, the food is amazing. Multiple breakfasts here, and the dinners are awesome. I had the salmon which was amazing.

This place is exactly what you've been looking for in a small town restaurant. The breakfast menu is excellent and the service is exceptional. The lunch menu is the same circumstance. My wife and I went to the test opening and the food is going to be better than what you would expect from a past renown breakfast restaurant. You will be pleased to know that this food is going to be amazing. Great presentation, amazing flavors. You will not be disappointed.

Food is great and Fresh! Burger super juicy. Veggies cooked to perfection. I would appreciate cheese as an option over addition. Only suggestion! Thanks, will come again.

Fantastic food, wonderful staff! Have not had one bad meal yet and have gone many times. The garlic ranch is amazing. Get the club and added any one of the meat jams.... yes just ask... and it's fierce yummy good!

My girls and I were there at 1130 and into 1pm today on one of their busiest days! Middletown Days had just finished their parade and although it was packed with people, everyone was smiling and enjoying their meals. My girls and I were able to sit at the counter and the wait was usual for a busy day but regardless, the staff was very accommodating, stayed focused and Courtney kept checking in with my girls and I, food was delicious AND the one thing I noticed during the hectic time was the staff checking in on one another, making sure they were doing okay with the hustle. We love coming to this community favorite. 💕

I’ve been coming here for lunch since they opened a year ago, and the experience is always outstanding. The staff and owners truly stand out—they’re warm, attentive, and make you feel welcomed every time. The food is consistently top-notch, and you can tell how much care goes into every dish. They recently started offering weekend dinner, so we came to try it out, and it was fabulous. Absolutely not disappointed! The same great service, even better flavors, and a really enjoyable evening overall. Looking forward to the spring when outdoor dining opens—this place just keeps getting better. A wonderful addition to our community!

OMG! What a gem for Middletown! We had breakfast and lunch on a recent visit to town from out of state, and was so pleasantly surprised! The food was really creative and just plain delicious. Although they were busy, we were served in a reasonable time, and The staff was welcoming, professional and friendly. The owners Janna and Dave both stopped by to chat for a moment. The Stonehouse is a MUST SEE when visiting Middletown. Id give it 10 stars if i could!!

Just had lunch at Stonehouse. Great Western burger an fries cooked the way I like them. Ali our waitress was amazing smiley funny great personality. Back patio is being remodeled can't wait for the outside bar live music 🎶 an I believe dinners to come. Great spot!!

Pleasantly impressed with the food. I had the California Benedict which I sent back because the egg whites weren’t cooked enough. They made it right & discounted the meal which made it nothing to complain about. ☺️My husband had the avocado toast, which I have to say is tdf. And that is what I’ll be ordering next time. 8/14/25 update: came in for that avocado toast just after 11am. No longer serving “breakfast”. They close at 2pm! Breakfast should be served all day if you close that early. Lunch menu is very limited & no avocado toast for lunch. 😞 We went elsewhere this time.

I really liked the previous restaurant at this location and I really wanted to like this one also. But... Although the presentation of our food was beautiful the flavors just weren't there. I had the country fried steak which, I tried to like, but just couldn't and my friend said his first bite was cold and his flavors were bland also. The prices are a bit high as well, and I know everyone is these days, but the cup of black coffee was like $5, which I consider to be way too much. Maybe it was an off day for the food and I may try them again in the future, but I'll be drinking water.

Food was average and the waitress charged us $10 for a short stack that was less than average even though it replaced his toast.. Our breakfast was $58 for two people. It’s a shame. We were looking forward to a new breakfast place in town.

Bad service/management. (Edit w/ reply) We called to make reservations FOUR days in advance for our party. When we got there, they said they don't have a table for us. The server said "we tried but it got crowded" Seriously? What's the point in making reservations? Very disappointed. Edit: this comment has left even a worst taste in our mouth. No one was rude at the restaurant. The server was not rude, just said that they tried but it got too crowded. We decided to not wait around. There was no talk of waiting 5 minutes. The server simply said we tried but it got crowded. Due to the crowd, we decided to try restaurant down the street. No anger was between the server or the party. This is a very disappointing reply from the owner. The photo mentioned with proof would be very appreciated. Thank you!

In other experiences here they tend to forget about people at their table, take long to bring drinks, don't bring the check unless you walk up to the counter and ask for it. It doesn't really feel like they approach from a customer service perspective. The menu is written in a weird way as well. I've tried to keep coming back here to give it another shot, but this was the last time we will attempt going to this restaurant.

My family has supported this restaurant for five years, but today ended that. When we arrived, the owner refused to seat us since my mother was on her way.. Her tone was curt and unaccommodating, and the experience felt hostile rather than hospitable. We won’t be returning.
