Chicken zucchini is my girlfriend’s favorite. I always get the steak, with broccoli as my side. My girlfriend ends up eating half of my broccoli because it’s so good. lol Our new favorite go-to restaurant for date night!

We celebrated a family birthday on the first day Pura Vida. The place was beautiful and the hostess sat us immediately. There was a festive atmosphere and all the employees seemed so happy to be there and were frankly, very beautiful!! Ivett Buira, our server, was very gracious! The food was great-very generous portions. Something for everyone-even steak and burgers. The bar was open and service was fast! ❤️❤️

Today, we had the pleasure of dining at Antojo Pura Vida. What a beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and staff! We started with the ceviche, which was absolutely amazing and so refreshing. The red chicken enchiladas were fantastic, and the tacos de arrachera were on point. The drinks, including the carajillo and the Pura Vida mojito, were delicious and quenched our thirst perfectly. I definitely recommend Pura Vida for an exceptional dining experience!

Zaidi was out waitress and she was so sweet, so attentive, and great at her job. The restaurant itself was so clean, even the restrooms. We started off with an appetizer of fried seafood. It was basically just thin slivers of calamari (think fried onions for casseroles), tiny shrimp, and small pieces of octopus. It’s served with a salsa that lacked flavor but was just okay after adding salt and Maggi. It wasn’t anything special and we would not order it again. Not for that price. My kids nuggets and fries were good. Better than most places. I got the ribeye burger and it was soooo delicious. IMO it just needed mustard which I’m sure I would’ve been given if I had asked. The fries were decent, wish they would’ve salted them fresh out the fryer. I would definitely order it again. My husband got the filete relleno and he really liked it. I thought it was yummy too. The sides with that were good too! We will definitely be coming back! Their menu is huge and everything looks so delicious. My only complaint, besides the appetizer, is that we were charged for a soft drink for my son’s meal when the kids menu clearly says it’s included. I attached a pic of that so you can see. I did ask and said it wasn’t included and that was that, not gonna make a big fuzz over it. Overall, it’s a great spot.

Love the way the old La Mision was updated. Music was up beat but it was a little loud. Thank you for having such comfortable chairs! I liked the uniqueness of them (different detail colors) and the patch work of the name on the back. Food was good, although I did t care for the fried beans. The sopapilla tostada appetizer with cinnamon, honey and maybe caramel was very delicious. Chicharrons and guacamole appetizer was a good snack. I would definitely come back!

I wish I could give this establishment a better review. I know this restaurant is fairly new so I know being short handed is a given. However my order was wrong, the food honestly just wasn't super great especially for the price point. I'll have to try brunch another time I happen to visit here again.

My family and i went here for lunch on Sunday. This was our second visit. Our first visit was great! The food was tasty and service was good. This second visit however, was not great. One, there were several available tables and we still had to wait 15min. There were 4 adults and one baby in our party. The menu was limited due to a special “brunch” menu. The food was “ok”, small portions for the price. $18 for pastor tacos and no sides. We ordered queso which is $5, no biggie. The waitress brought her hand held tablet to check us out, i could not see the itemized receipt as it was on her tablet in her hands. She said it was $101, which seemed high, but i gave my card to pay and she handed me the tablet to select top amount, i left a $20 tip. The waitress asked if i wanted a receipt and i said yes, printed. To my surprise on the actual ticket i was charged a 17% tip of $18, so the amount the waitress told me included and $18 tip, which she failed to tell me the tip was included in the $101. So she got a $38 tip for mediocre service. She had also charged us for 2 quesos and we only got 1. Very disappointing second visit.

Great Food and Service! *I say this with all due respect* The Tequila, Bourbon, Scotch and cigar selection is very low and needs an extreme make over. This place only has 2 to 3 High-end, over hyped Tequila selections (Clase Azul), that's it!!! 2 Scotch, 1 Mezcal, Only 1 Bourbon selection (Buffalo Trace), no Weller's, Eagle Rare, Blanton's, Old Forrester's, etc. The cigar selection was in 2 small cheap humidors, No Premium Cigars. No Arturo Fuentes, LFD, Pardon, My Father, Gurkha's, Opus X. Extremely dry, not well maintained at all!!! What was on hand was a small House Blend Selection of Dark Maduro, Robustos and torpedos. Very dry, crumbly wrapper leaves on all the cigars! Not worth at all.

The food is okay if you're a seafood foodie. I am, but the food was much to be desired. It was bland. P.S. the ladies bathroom was the nicest part of the experience. 🤭😬🤔

Highly overrated

We had the combo beef chicken fajita plate. There was too much veggies, veggies were thicker than the meat. Very minimal meat. One thin dried tortilla cut in half. Flavor for fajitas was not bad. No flavor for rice, refried beans were good. Salsa was good but need a bigger serving bowl to use waffer thin chips. The decor was nice and bright. Service staff was attentive.

The restaurant looks great! Lunch menu is limited but if it’s for faster lunch service, I’m all for it. As an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido. I prefer more of an asadero type cheese rather than melted shredded cheese (which is tough) but it had good flavor. The corn tortillas it came with though, are extremely tough and hard to chew (I didn’t eat those and scooped cheese on a spoon ) The tortillas seemed to be heated in the microwave. For our main dish we ordered the two salads available. The salads looked great but weren’t made as directed by the menu. I ordered a wedge salad with blue cheese and croutons (which is my favorite type of salad) but it didn’t have blue cheese nor croutons instead it came with pecans and an avocado dressing. I don’t eat avocado or pecans so I didn’t eat it. My wife’s strawberry salad was supposed to come with a strawberry vinaigrette dressing and instead came with ranch on it and missing croutons and other key ingredients. When we told the waitress about it, she said “that’s how the chef makes it” even though the menu says something else. I know it seems like I’m being picky but if that’s the way you make it, I’m fine with it but please put the correct description so that I know if I want to order it or not. I won’t go back simply for the fact that I don’t know what I’m getting.

Giving the benefit of the doubt due to our party size, possible shortage in staff, but the loud music to where you can’t even think was outrageous. This felt more like a club establishment rather than a restaurant. Food took over an hour from time of ordering to receive, to which there were discrepancies. Wrong orders or orders that were not even put in. The quality of food wasn’t all the best either, it had great presentation but lacked in taste. Bar service while waiting to be seated was also just slow in service. Slow to take our orders and slow to receive our payment. I’m disappointed in that a very nice looking establishment and friendly staff lacked in service. Honest review of my experience here, I understand larger parties are more difficult at times, and can put a strain on the wait staff, but overall was not a pleasant experience.

La comida estaba rica, pero tuvimos una experiencia muy desagradable. A uno de nuestros invitados le salieron tres pedazos de vidrio en su platillo, y el manejador únicamente ofreció descontar su comida, lo cual nos pareció insuficiente dada la gravedad de la situación. Además, al mesero se le olvidó la orden del resto de los invitados y la cocina ya había cerrado. Al momento de pagar, no se entregaron los tickets correctamente y el cobro fue incorrecto, mientras que el manejador solo observaba sin intervenir. Éramos una mesa de aproximadamente 30 personas atendida por un solo mesero. Por estas razones, no creo que volvamos a regresar.

Had to ask a couple time for the music to be turned down because we had a speaker right above us and couldn't hear the person next to us talk. The Lime juice they call a margarita was absolutely sad. It seems like this place would rather make the food look presentable then actually taste good. I will not recommend this place to anyone in town and will instead refer people to taco bell for better Mexican food.

Initially, I made reservations for 2:45pm, anticipating the Mother's Day brunch advertised on their Instagram page, scheduled from 10am-4pm. However, upon arrival, I discovered that no brunch was available. The food was mediocre, lacking flavor. The flour tortillas were subpar, but their salsa was exceptional. Our waitress was pleasant, although seemingly overwhelmed, managing multiple tables and forgetting a few requests. The service was slow, with food and drinks taking considerable time to arrive. After ordering dessert, we waited over 30 minutes, ultimately deciding to leave instead. I would not recommend this establishment and do not plan to return anytime soon.
