El Porteno is one of the best, if not "the" best Steak House around Milan. Their meats are seasoned just right, and all our steaks were done perfectly to what we requested. This is Argentinian style cuts, there does not appear to be NY strip on the menu 😂. My favorite here is the boneless house special ribeye steak. Next is their equivalent of the porterhouse, then the filet. If you order the beef rib, it comes in a fancy presentation rack. The wine list is also very extensive, good work on the sommelier's part. There are wine from €10s to €1000s, enough to satisfy wide ranging tastes. When you receive the bill, they bring this enormous candy / lollipop tree to complete the evening. Yes this is not as sophisticated as those other Michelin and Milanese cuisine restaurants that we have come to try in Milan, but coming from NYC, it really satisfied our craving for traditional steak house fare.

Amazing food, from the starters to the meat! Very nice wine menu as well. The only thing that doesn't seem great in a restaurant like this is having a waiter that took 5 mins to open a bottle of wine because he didn't have the experience (something really simple) and also the fact that another waiter while listening to us ordering food was making baloons with a chewing gum, a true disservice to a great food experience.

I had dinner at the restaurant last Friday and I had the best meat in town for dinner. The venue is amazing, the style of the interiors are very classy and aesthetic. The service I must say wasn’t the best I was expecting. Me and my friends like and value the gratitude and smiling of the waiters, that we didn’t really find at this venue. We respect the fact that they’re working and it’s not always easy to be happy during work but we also don’t enjoy to be served without having even a minimal consideration. It would be better seeing the staff enjoying the company of the guests and giving a bit more attention on the service. For the rest it’s the place to be with some friends or for a date, the food quality is one of the best I’ve ever seen in Milan.

We went to have dinner on Saturday.. Waiting times with a reservation were too high. Service was honestly slower than average (comparing to the Gourmet near Duomo). Argentinian cuts are amazing, without a doubt. The waiter should pay attention when serving to make sure the cooking point of the meat is even and as requested. This Porteño isn’t as intimate as the Gourmet one, and we had the misfortune of having a group of guys yelling from 22:00 til closure. We had to ask to switch tables because we couldn’t even talk because of all the screaming.

Good beef and newly all kinds of beef can be found. Good wine selection, surely, good service ! Perfect ! The portion of side dishes already can feed me well ! Bee there already three times and would like to go again !

There are several cuts of meat available. Range goes from tasty to soft meat. I suggest to improve side dishes, it’s low quantity and choice.

Came here on a Friday night with some friends, first impression was a very chic and lively place. Before our table was ready we enjoyed a superb negroni 😍 later we had some starters and for the main course we went for the 1,5kg Filet - wow Imagine that 🤩 the whole filet piece from a beef!!! Never saw that one before on a menu! It was so delicious, cooked and seasoned to perfection- pure heaven! 😋😋😋😍😍😍 however that night the service was subpar, the sides were not served with the main dish we asked for it and were told it will be served soon, yet the only place where we saw them was on the invoice at the end - a big no no especially the lame excuse from our servant. On the plus side she wanted to offer some negronis, but we were too full. Anyway my friends told me they came here 5 times already and it was never like this. 🤷🏿‍♂️ well I will be back for sure, maybe it was just bad luck.

Place looks amazing, but unfortunately the food was bad and the service was very slow and quite unprofessional. We had several types of steaks, but nothing was good. We even had to return one dish because it wasn't hot enough... I would not recommend this place to any meat lover.
