I've come here Saturday after work again for dinner Sunday I just got back from work and I'm working in Sherman Texas. I just got the 12 Livers again with a large family order size of french fries & two large ice cream gravies. This is so very delicious as you can see I keep coming back buying the same thing. Whenever I'm in town I always look at my family and say y'all want some chicken?!? Always referring to going to Golden Chick. I love you guys Golden Chick

***MILITARY DISCOUNT*** Best fries ever! The chicken was a too little lightly breaded for my tastes but those crispy fries were on point! The cashier was extremely helpful and kind. I took longer than normal because I asked her opinion on everything and she was gracious enough not to get irritated with a first timer. We will be back!

We ordered fried chicken. A3wing diner and a two piece white. After we sat there for at least 5 mins waiting on our food. The kitchen staff said they didn’t have enough fried wings. So I opted for the oven roasted cause I didn’t want to wait the 10-15 minutes for fried. Then it was another 5 minutes till we received our food. The fried was great the oven roasted not so good. And the dirty rice was just awful. Never have I had dirty rice that tasted like stuffing. I highly recommend the fried but the oven roasted stay away for that.

The food is always good. You just have to go before dinner. The afternoon shift always act like they don’t care about you and it’s a lot slower. From opening to mid afternoon you get great, friendly (and fast) service. Just have to time it right.

(Updated from original review of 2 stars at new location) We visited on July20 and the drive thru was a wait... but friendly and our order was correct this time. As a result, I upgraded them from previously 2 stars to 4 stars. The photos i attached are both a six pc chicken tenders to reflect the improvements and the difference.

We have ordered the fish three or four times, and it has been so overcooked that it was very dry and hard each time. We rarely go there now, and when we do, we will only get the chicken. The mashed potatoes come with gravy, so I asked for no gravy on my potatoes because I couldn't eat it, so they put the gravy on the side and charged me. The place is fairly clean. There is good parking. The cost of food is good for fast food. We have had good service before, and good fish, just not so much lately. If you are gluten-free, the frys are battered so they are not safe.

On my last visit the food quality was good however the chicken pieces were very small and the value for the price was atrocious.

I wanted to give this chain a benefit of the doubt. During a time when our local Chicken Express was gouging their prices, we were always on the lookout for a good chicken place that was affordable. That was when we spotted a Golden Chick on our usual rides through Mineola and the first time we have ate there was an overall fantastic experience. The food was delicious (great portions and you got to love a place that serves top quality fried okra), the service was great and it was affordable. We haven’t been by but only a handful of times in the past so we decided to stop by yesterday. It was the first time I had decided to purchase our food with the mobile app. This app would advertise a Tender Bundle Box that offers 18 tenders, 8 rolls, 4 single sides and a large gravy. Judging from the picture, the single sides appear to be of considerable size. After looking around through the menu, I decided to purchase this bundle box as it seems to be the best option for what I’m looking for. We arrived at 11 o’ clock and the app had stated that our food would have been ready around 11:15 AM. We had to wait over half an hour for our food to be ready. I will admit, it was a big order and the restaurant was busy with customers. Even though we were in a rush, I didn’t mind having to wait for them to make sure the order was up to par. We did notify the cashier around 11:15 that we had a mobile order, she told us that they just started working on it and that she will let them know that we are here. Since they hadn’t started on our order the whole time we were there, we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for our food to be brought out. I will say the presentation of the bundle box had me excited. We took it to our car and checked to make sure our food is in there and it seemed everything was in the right place. We got home to find out that the sides were of embarrassingly small proportions. We had purchased two sides of mashed potatoes and it wasn’t enough to feed our family. We had also bought a side of corn nuggets (a side order that is extra pricy) and they had given us a measly 8 corn nuggets in total. And don’t get me started on the size of the fried okra. If there was one thing I learned looking through the mobile app is that the sides are incredibly overpriced. There is no reason that dinner sides of such small size should be included in a FAMILY MEAL. Some of us weren’t able to eat the sides because there wasn’t enough. And that isn’t the main complaint I have with this order. We were given a perfect amount of rolls and the gravy, albeit fairly small for a family size, still was plenty and it tasted great. The chicken on the other hand, which makes up the bulk of our order, was tough and coarse. Almost as if it were loaded with bristles. And this wasn’t just a couple tenders here and there, this was the whole order. Safe to say, I was very disappointed with the quality of the chicken. Their chicken used to be soft and could pull apart easily without resistance while this order was filled with tough, hard to chew chicken that seemed to not been done cooking, probably pulled out in a hurry. There should have been no reason for us to have waited that long for a $50 order of tiny sides and subpar cooked chicken. I used to sing praises of this fine establishment, now I don’t think I will consider coming back to this restaurant for a very long time.

I just waited 20 minutes for my roasted 9 piece as a part of my $106 order. We had the right number of boxes and sides, however after the 20 minute drive home we discovered no roasted chicken at all. We tried to call but the phone was never answered. We did not want to drive another 40 minutes round trip without confirming we could get the roasted chicken as I know sometimes it runs out. This isn't the first time our order hasn't been 100% correct but it's usually just a missing side or they forgot the extra rolls we ordered. The only plus was the girl taking the orders was very pleasant.
