Tasty burger and fries. We sat outside and enjoyed our food. There is a drive-thru, or you can order to go. They had beyond burgers and veggie patties for us vegetarians. Vegan cheeses as well.

I stopped in for a quick bite at around 8:30am, the shop was empty inside but I could hear the mobile orders going off like crazy in the back, so they are clearly a favorite. I was impressed by the menu and friendlessness of the single employee. I ordered the Chicken Milanese on Ciabatta, and it was hands down delicious, the bread was fresh and the lightly breaded chicken was flavorful. I am only visiting for the day but I'd come back in a heartbeat!

Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered 2 vegetarian and 1 vegan dish. All of them were delicious. Strongly recommend Mundos grilled mozzarella sandwich. Wish we had this in mid west.

The sandwiches here are a must! My boyfriend and I got a Philly cheesesteak and a bbq pulled pork sandwich. Both were so yummy we had to come back the next day to try the burritos. The breakfast burritos were decent, however, we definitely prefer the sandwiches!

The argentinian tri-tip is fantastic. For a swede like me i can appreciate a sandwich with a lot of meat!

I was pretty content with my sandwich. The tri-tip cubana had a good amount of meat and I enjoyed the chorizo in it. Felt the portion was quite reasonable for the price. Was not too busy, wait for the food felt like about 5-10 min. Feel good enough about it to come back again. There are tables where you can eat but it is a small restaurant.

More sandwich options than you can stand. The gentleman who runs the place went over all the sandwiches with us before we purchased. Super polite and appreciative of our business. The Mundos Tri Tip is out of this world on the Dutch bread. Affordable and filling.

Took my daughter to the aquarium for her birthday and stopped a 3 Mundos for lunch, I ordered the Mundos Cubana sandwich and hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Will definitely be stopping by again anytime I’m in the area.

Deeeelicious. I got a Warrior's Pork sandwich, Mundo's style, and it was so good. The sandwich is enormous, the pork is tender and juicy, and the sauces were bursting with flavor. My husband got the hamburger, and it was just as good. The biggest surprise was the *incredible* cheesecake with vanilla whipped cream! Next time I'm in Monterey I'm coming back!

We have been enjoying their food for years now. All the food is fantastic, vegan, vegetarian, chicken, pork, beef, burritos, breakfast and lunch. You cannot go wrong choosing anything from here.

Great sandwiches. They are huge. You will not be left hungry after one. Recommended is the California chicken with mushrooms and proprietary sauce. Excellent! Fairly quick service when not very busy. Small but adequate with outside dining.

As visitors to California, we were looking for a small 'mom and pop' style sandwich shop for a quick lunch. We were very pleased with 3 Mundos, and the service was excellent. Had the Mundos TriTip sandwich which was great and well balanced meat and veggies. Wife had the Hawaiian Pulled Pork and the bite I snuck was also great. As we chatted with the host about the menu, we mentioned being on a road trip and he gave us a complimentary cookie. Such a nice gesture. I'd go here weekly to support such a refreshingly passionate local shop if I could, so since I cannot, I urge you to treat yourself to their food.

We stopped in on a whim during vacation. We were absolutely blown away by the employees kindness, the quality of food and the value. I've honestly never quite had a burger that good before... Fresh, huge and tasty. We've been back home for a week now and I'm still thinking about that burger. Lol

Amazing sandwiches! Stumbled on this place on a beach day trip and grabbed some sandwiches to go, perfect to take to the beach. The sandwiches are large and a great value for price and they're made well, ingredients are seasoned and balanced (not too much bread). There are a few parking spots in front, no need to find street parking. No Safeway sandwiches, go here!

This was close to my hotel so i decided to walk over for a sandwich. I ordered the mexican tri tip. That was one of the best sandwiches ive had in at least 6 months if not a year. The thing that really made it was how fresh the bread was. Definitely recommend 👌

The vegan sandwiches here were fantastic! I got the chick’n Milanese sandwich and my friends got the vegan Cuban tri-tip and chicken, and we all loved our food (a few even got sandwiches to go because we liked it that much)! Highly recommend all their vegan sandwiches :)!

Whatever the highest praise is you could think of for a sandwich/lunch spot, the answer is yes. The first review I saw said “best sandwich I’ve ever had” and it’s true. Totally 100% true. Super nice folks, the best best best sandwiches. Lots of options. Great portions. I would come here every day if I could. If you’ve ever seen something on the food channel and wondered if it could really be better than what you are used to, this is the place to come, you can’t find better.

My partner and I just ordered from Mundos. I’d never tried their food before but my partner had in the distant past. She remembered it being good so we decided to try it for lunch. When it arrived and I opened the sandwich, I was shocked by the beauty of it. I was expecting just another sandwich, but instead received a piece of art. I knew it would be delicious even before trying it and indeed it was. I was just stunned by the flavors and textures of that sandwich. I was going to call them and tell them that I appreciate the hell our of them so much for facilitating this transcendent sandwich experience for me but I decided to just write a review. I am not a person who writes reviews ever, but I was so shaken by the beauty of this experience, that I needed to tell the world about it. I feel like I’ve grown as a human being. It was truly epiphanous. Thank you Mundos.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. As Vegans living in Alabama, we struggle to find vegan restaurants and we even struggled to find Vegan from Vallejo to Monterey when we landed. We ordered the BLT and faux chorizo burrito. And oh my gawd. Mouth watering. So many vegan options and it tasted like it wasn’t meat substitute. The sauces were perfection. The owner was amazing the entire time. He is vegan and doesn’t just serve Vegan, he lives vegan! He was accommodating and above friendly from the moment we walked in! Very impressed.

We hadn't been here for a while and we were delighted to stop by recently and order a bunch of delicious sandwiches at 3 Mundo's on North Fremont. The super high quality bread and creative fresh ingredients make their sandwiches exceptional we believe! So far, we enjoyed the Mundos Tri-Tip, Tuna, Pastrami and the amazing Philly Chees Sandwiches. We really appreciate that we could order many choices of Vegan and Vegetarian sandwiches, too and loved the Vegan Crispy Chick n Milanese and Vegan Cubana Chicken. The Chicken Quesadilla was great, as well. We were able to reheat them the toaster a few days later and they were still amazing! They have a variety of potato chips including our favorite Kettle Brand, plus cookies and a great gluten-free vegan Cheesecake and Chocolate Lava Cake. We also love using the new 3 Mundo's app - so convenient. The renovated interior looks great too. We're looking forward to bringing their great sandwiches along for picnics on sunny days!

An excellent experience! My husband and I split the Cubana with Pork and the Big Boy Burger. Absolutely delicious. Homemade taste, friendly staff. Generous portions. We just moved to the area and this will be one of our go to places.

I usually get a chicken or Turkey sandwich and they are great. Fresh veggies, awesome rolls and super tasty combinations! Now I can add the classic burger (cheeseburger) to the list! Prices are reasonable and the staff is fantastic!

We grabbed some sandwiches here since it was right next to our hotel. Tuna Sandwich was very good, decent size for the price as well. Their menu had a lot of options that looked great, I'd like to try some tri tip next time I'm in town. The service here really stood out, we had a large group ahead of ours with lots of questions and some substitutions, the young man at the register was engaged, attentive, fast and extremely courteous to everyone he helped. Really above and beyond service, for each customer. Great experience here, I love knowing there is a good local place next door to where I stay when I'm in town for the races!

Place is great. I went every day while in town for work. Macaroni salad was exactly what you want - cold, creamy, good texture on the noodles. Sandwiches are a meal enough without the need for a side and the ciabatta is really nice. Meats were always tender and juicy, and the sandwiches are assembled really well! The meats are pounded out so they lay nicely on the sandwich and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to shoot out the sides or fall apart. You can’t miss here.

Fantastic sandwiches! Convenient, quick drive-thru. Good service. If we lived here, we would come back often. Highly recommend. One a more specific note: their curried chicken salad sandwich is very flavorful. Almost no one makes them anything but bland, but this was really well-flavored. If there’s any small complaint it’s that they could’ve put a little more chicken salad on the sandwich, but it was a reasonable amount. Go try this place!

We had their breakfast burrito sausage and veggies. It was very flavorful and healthy. No fillers like rice. The tortilla was also great quality. We definitely want to return for their Cuban sandwich.

Ordered the Argentinan Tri Tip and the Mundos Cubana! Both sandos were schmackin!!!! The customer service was top notch. The gentleman at the front gave great recs and even made some adjustments to our sandos for a taste we were looking for. All in all a must visit if you're in Monterey!

This is where I go when I want a great tri tip sandwich. They just added a new ciabatta roll as an option. Yum!!

This place came highly recommended by a local after I mentioned how I hadn’t experienced any great food while being in town. My philly cheesesteak was better than ok but I was hoping for mouth watering delicious.

The chorizo breakfast burrito is really good! The only thing that I've ordered that I didn't like was the potato salad. It didn't have eggs and the only thing I could taste was mayo. Other then that burgers are really good to and great size.

Really tasty, however prices have recently raised which is understandable but was upset to see the carne Asada sandwich was off the menu. Otherwise super tasty and convenient.

Ordered the Paprika Chicken sandwich and added bacon, it was soooooo good. Chicken was grilled to perfection, veggies were fresh, bread was crispy, and the sauce on the sandwich was bomb. decent sandwiches. got the argentinean tri tip ciabatta. wish the meat wasn’t only well done bc it gets dry that way. i was excited for the chimichurri sauce but it was not that great.

Just okay... Monterey location is MUCH better. No bathrooms here, just FYI. Addendum: I thought that Mundos in Monterey was a part of the 3 Mundos umbrella. Maybe not?

Tri tip taste boiled fries were great chicken was bland. Cheese burger was the only thing good.

I eat here all the time and usually the food and service is very good. Recently noticed much less meat on the sandwiches and the sodas are warm. Not sure if they are cutting back on refrigeration/energy and supply expense and hope it just happens to be a couple off days for them.

2 stars, because when I asked for ranch to go with my onion rings I was told there would be a extra charge. Okay no problem, but when the guy turns around and pulls out a bottle of HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH, which if you are a ranch lover: YOU KNOW THIS RANCH IS BOTTOM OF THE CHAIN. $1.50 for two small cups. I feel taken advantage of as a customer. You can literally buy the same bottle at target for less then $10. Most burger spots give complementary dips. And house made ranch is ALWAYS better. And they obviously don’t value their customers opinion after the response down below.

VEGANS, DO NOT EAT HERE, YOU MIGHT BE EATING REAL MEAT: the young kids who work the register do not care about their job and they do not care if you are vegan. The two young kids that work there are consistently very rude and on their phones while working. I understand that they are kids but we’ve been very patient with them. My friend ordered the VEGAN cubano and the girl working had to be told the order 3 separate times because she simply was not paying attention. she also had headphones in while taking all of the people’s orders I brought to their restaurant. My friend who is a VEGAN of 10 + years ate REAL MEAT today. He was DEVASTATED. And he THREW UP EVERYTHING THE SECOND WE GOT HOME. I felt very let down and disrespected (I never leave negative reviews.) however, I have been given REAL MEAT TWICE NOW AFTER CLEARLY ORDERING VEGAN SANDWICHES. And the young kids that work their SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER OR IF YOU GET REAL MEAT. I have been eating at mundos since 2014. Although the owner came out and personally apologized, I still feel the need to leave this review because it is not fair to people who have food allergies to real meat, people who don’t eat meat for religious or cultural reasons and vegans/vegetarians!!!! As a vegetarian of 8 + years, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to you if you are considering ordering a vegan sandwich.

Not sure what is going on here but for me I am losing interest. The first time the sandwich was great, when I went back to get another a week later it was made different and I was truly disappointed, it did not taste as incredible as the first one, which was a grilled chicken bacon. So now the 3rd time attempt went sideways, the cashier had no idea what I meant by add mustard to the side of the bread that has chicken. I lost my appetite and got to watch my party eat. Sorry not sorry but this is a no way place for me now.

The service is horrible. Took my husband forever to place an order because a few groups came in and asked questions and my husband was ignored in favor of the groups. After many discussions including spending several minutes explaining what can go on a burrito with one person, they remembered my husband was in line first. They gave him the wrong sandwich after all that. I had a burger and it was a dry cafeteria burger. I wish I'd gone down the street to In N Out.

Chicken was not cooked thoroughly. Called in and talked with someone who said that is 'interesting' instead of apologizing. Then he asked for the order number, then all this run-around about order total, felt like next question was going to be mother's maiden name, SSN etc. I had to hang up. Bad (unsafe) food, bad service. Looks like no intention to make it right or 'apologize' still. Order number and who the customer is should be more than enough info to look up details. The defensive response instead of an apology and fixing the issue tells me enough about this place. Long time ago this was a decent joint. Too bad that it is going down in quality and service. I am still hungry by the way, words don't fill me up :)

As we walked through the door, the guy at the counter failed to greet us. He then didn’t inform us that they were out of burger patties, but swiftly began to ask us if we were ready to order before giving us a chance to look up at the menu. When we received our order (within 5 minutes or so) the meat on my husband’s tri-tip sandwich was unseasoned and flavorless. My fries were ok, but saltless. The best thing about this experience was our exit. I hope this was just an off day, but my experience was so poor that I ended up at Taco Bell.

I ordered a vegan BLT, as I am a vegetarian. I was delivered a BLT with meat. When I went up to the counter once I realized, the server (black hair with a beard and mustache around noon on June 20th) argued with me about whether I said “vegan” or not multiple times. Eventually, I said “can I just have my vegan BLT” because it didn’t seem like he was going to fix the mistake. It was highly unprofessional, and horrible service. I would not recommend this establishment if this is the kind of server they have. Fix your mistake and move on, don’t argue with the customer when I know I said vegan. I’ve been a vegetarian for almost 20 years… this isn’t my first rodeo. It’s a shame too, because otherwise I would give it five stars because the cooks did a great job with the sandwiches. Unfortunately, as the face of the establishment, he soured the entire experience by arguing with me about it back and forth. I wish I could take back my tip, which I shouldn’t have even given in the first place, as it’s not like it’s table service, but I was being nice. They also overcharged me, as the vegan option is a couple dollars cheaper than the meat option.

Been a customer for over 15 yrs. Left my debit card on the counter by accident. Checked my bank account after noticing card was gone. Called them the next day and was told it wasn't there (in the cash register), but to call back later when someone else was on shift...called back, oh yeah we found it behind the trash can. My bank account stated that there was the original charge for my food, but another $20 that was posted after I left my card on the counter. When I walked through the door to pick up my card, I overheard the staff making jokes about using my card to "shop at Nordstroms". Was given my card back, but was told that I would have to dispute the $20 on my own. Bottom line, they ran and unauthorized $20 charge on a card I left in their establishment, audibly made joke about using my card for personal use..... in my opinion, pretty crappy customer service,.especially towards a local long time LOCAL customer. Foods good, but honesty at a minimum. 👎

After waiting, they came and said the bread we specifically ordered — Dutch crunch — wasn’t available and offered ciabatta instead. At that point, I just said, “Fine, give us our food.” Other people were coming in and getting their food, while we were still waiting. I finally got my food at 3:35 PM — more than an hour after I placed the order. We were starving. When I opened it, I had asked for the sandwich to be toasted, but it was burnt. It was so bad that I couldn’t eat it — I took one bite and threw the rest away. Then I checked my husband’s sandwich — it wasn’t even on ciabatta, it was some other bread. The filling inside was a mess, and he couldn’t eat it either. He threw his away too. I wasted $37 for absolutely nothing. Don’t go here.
