Everytime I go to Monterey I always stop off at the Morgan Hill Pete's coffee its off the Cochrane exit to the right cannot miss it. Love Petes best coffee and great service.
Always terrific service at Peet's. Favorite place to get my coffee beans... Top quality, fresh and a variety of types and roasts. Plus they're grinder works so much better than the one we have at home. Not to mention their brewed coffee , tea is always so good.
I have been going here for nine years. Always consistent with great coffee and good service. I am so relieved to go someplace I can be confident I'll get what I expect...a great dark chocolate almond milk mocha!
First time here and first time at a Peet's Coffee in general. Full disclosure: I used to work at a law firm that got Peet's coffee by the truckload. (A bit of an exaggeration, yes, but not by much.) Every day, I'd come to work, and the place just smelled as if it were a coffeehouse! Of course, lawyers are famous for working through the night and needing coffee on IV drips to get through late-night powwows. And Peet's reigned at my law firm. But the coffee always smelled so STRONG that I never dared try it. (I'm a coffee weakling. I admit it! I do decaf and like it sweet and light--NOT dark, strong, and thick as petrol!) However, I was there to meet a young lady whom I was asking to do the cover art for my upcoming novel. She's in high school and not a professional, but she is a TRULY talented artist. I love to meet people who have talent and passion and see if there's any way I can get them in the spotlight with/for their talent. And my book cover, I'd hope, would be a great way to showcase her talent. (And, yes, I intend to pay her. So this would be her first professional gig, and I can say one day, "Well, you know, of course, that I was her first paying client!" (I'm actually not certain she intends to go into art as a career or just keep it her hobby.)) And she (thankfully) agreed to do the job! Yay! Anyhow, she lives in a different city, so Peet's was her choice for a meeting place that was centrally located between us. I got there early and ordered the hibiscus tea (served cold)! Yum! I LOVE hibiscus tea! And this had a WONDERFUL flavor. Very refreshing. The people working at Peet's were friendly and QUICK! My tea was ready before I'd returned my wallet to my purse! Anyhow, now that I know Peet's has hibiscus tea, I'll be back. And MAYBE one day I'll work up the courage to try their coffee. Maybe if professional baristas make it (and not a group of lawyers), it'll be better. Anyhow, I can't stand Starbucks coffee, so Peet's would have a loyal customer in me if I did like their coffee or their hot chocolate. (I love hot chocolate, but Starbucks even makes AWFUL hot chocolate, so I stopped going there because I never found anything I could drink and enjoy)! Next time I go in cooler weather, I'll try Peet's hot chocolate and see if I like it. (And hopefully I'll remember to post an update!) 5/11/22--Yesterday I was at my chiropractor and had some time before my next appointment, so I decided, since it was cold, I'd finally try out Peet's hot chocolate. And, hallelujah, it tasted like hot chocolate! It wasn't the greatest hot chocolate I've ever had, but it SOOO much better than the swill passed off as hot chocolate at Starbucks. I mean, HOW do you get hot chocolate wrong? I don't know, but Starbucks does, and I told the batista at Peet's that and made his day. He showed his appreciation in heartfelt laughter at my unexpected comment. So, yes, I can recommend Peet's hot chocolate.
I moved into the area about 10 years ago, and this has been my go to coffee shop the whole time.
Since the moment I started coming here, it’s felt like home. From the warm “welcome in” every time you enter, to the hearty acknowledgment as you exit, this place is the real deal. They not only remember your order, but your name and use it each time - for every customer. If you’ve been gone long, they’ll comment how they’ve missed you - genuinely. I’ve sat here til closing enough times to witness them being just as warm and welcoming when someone comes in within three minutes of closing as they were at the start of the day: no eye roll or frustration, but a genuine “welcome in” once again. What a standout. It’s the coffee place where you truly feel like family. Kudos to solid training and management, Sarah! Isaac, Sam, Candace, and the whole team – you really make this place super special! Thanks!
I just stopped in for a quick cup of coffee fortheroad. There coffee is consistently great. This location has easy on and off access from the freeway.
Every time I am heading down to Las Vegas or OC, I always stop by here for coffee. Today, we just driving around and got a ice cafe latte with coffee cake shared with my mom. Looking thru the window.

Dominic was very friendly and had a great sense of humor! Glad I got to try Pete’s coffee for the first time and have such a great experience!
I often ride here from San Jose, a cozy, relaxing coffee shop, place to just pick up a book and start reading!
Sweetest staff! I love getting the black tie! A must stop in Morgan Hill!

It’s Peets! Always good. They’ll brew fresh if they can. Gotta love that.

The coffee and food are very good. The day I visited, they were fairly busy and after placing my order, waited quite some time before receiving my breakfast item which came at a different time than the pastry that I also ordered. This was confusing given the amount of people waiting for there order and because of how difficult it was to hear my name being called due to the noise level. Like I mentioned, the coffee is delicious and so we're the food items that I ordered.
i like their matcha latte (especially the blushing rose one). honestly peet whoever peet is, is a genius for the protein matcha. great way to meet macros while having a treat. they did mess up my matcha latte order once by putting coffee in it. i spent the next thirty minutes sitting on the porcelain throne

This is a great rest stop between the central coast and Bay Area. HOWEVER, I am very disappointed that Peets had decided not to make loose leaf tea cups on site. I really used to enjoy a good cup of Darjeeling here. I even offered to buy a full tin if they would brew a cup but they still wouldn’t do it. They will stand on their head to accommodate coffee orders but will not make a loose leaf cup of tea. What gives?

Conflicted with this place. Half of the time I'll get a great drink and the other half I'll be drinking whatever perfume the barista was wearing because it's all over the lid.

The Asian lady working the register 04/10/25 8:00am was half asleep with a stale look lacking awareness and customer service. Came to pick up a mobile order and I seen it ready, but she seemed to refuse to serve me and hand me my order and proceeds to do other tasks. Weirdo behavior. You get payed to serve the customer. This is a job not a charity, so do your job, it’s called customer service for a reason!
I’ve order online pickup at least 4 times over the last 2 years. I’ve tried ordering my drink, just as it comes, tastes like one big cup of milk. So I’ve gone again, and tried adding extra shots (even though when I go to any Petes in San Jose, I never have to do so) still tastes the same, how’s that even possible? If I’m adding 2-3 EXTRA shots, sorry but I should be able to taste that. Also, the staff is always rude.
I came in at 4:55pm on 12/14/25. This Morgan Hill store closes at 6pm. I ask for a drip coffee and told me they were out of drip coffee. The person explains further they don't make drip coffee an hour before they close. Wow! What poor customer service. This place clearly doesn't prioritize customer satisfaction. I won't be coming back.
Worst Peet’s I have ever went to. Whoever the three girls were that were working on Monday 11/3/25 around 10:30am need to learn how to properly attend to customers and do their jobs. Why did I have to wait so long for my 2nd drink while there were 3 baristas surrounding a table begging for tips? The Filipino girl that was making my drink that day poured espresso in my wife’s chai latte because how distracted she was from talking to customers who weren’t even ordering. It took her almost 5 minutes to pour that shot btw because she wasn’t at her station. I had to go back and get it replaced and all she said was “guess they didn’t like it”. I didn’t like the drink because it was made wrong. When I went back inside one of the girls I believe her name was Carmen was still talking to customers at a table and not doing her job. Please utilize your staff better. There shouldn’t be 5 baristas and only one is working which was the only guy there. Very unprofessional staff be aware. I was late to work due to the extreme delay for 2 drinks.
I went to buy my $22/lb coffee beans only to have the employee make me wait for other customer who was after me to be rung up (which took longer than it took her to get my coffee beans). Then when she got to bag my beans the phone rang which she answered. She stopped bagging my beans and started to take care of the customer on the phone. I asked for my beans and she said “I’m on the phone” I had to wait for her to hand the phone off to someone else before she then bagged my beans and put them on the counter and walked away. I said “thank you” and she just walked away. I paid $22/lb for that- never again.
