Best Chinese food I've had in the area.
Love the hot and sour soup on a very cold night. We can't wait to taste the other soups. I bet they are just as tasty!
Consistently good food with lots of tofu options. Has never messed up my order in 10 years of patronage.
Had the General Tso's chicken and spicy beef with pork fried rice and dumplings. Super delicious both times, I will be coming back!
This place never fails but something about tonight was SPECTACULAR. Every person who ordered food in our party raved about the food. Excellently done and beyond flavorful. I don't know who was cooking tonight but WELL DONE!
I'm giving it 5-stars because it's exactly what it claims to be. It's a small-town Chinese restaurant. The seating is casual like a food court. I wouldn't plan a dinner date there, but it was a decent option for ordering food to-go when my family was in town visiting.
Very nice and friendly staff and the food is always good. The place is always very clean. There are 8 tables but i have always taken out. The food comes reasonably quick. The prices for the amount of food you get is very reasonable. Overall i always enjoy getting food here.
I don't often leave a five star review, but I just had one of the best Chinese meals I've had in a long time here. I ordered the Moo Shu Pork and it was excellent. Instead of rice it came with what I would call rice tortillas, probably the same thing they would wrap egg rolls with, and some sauce. I rolled it up like an egg roll and it really hit the spot.
The owners are ad nice of people that you will meet. Their kids help alot and are so sweet. The foot is very good and always fast.
Both their website and Google say dine in but it's clear they will never allow dine in again. They make you stand outside in the cold to pay and get your food which isn't fun. Food took only 25 minutes after ordering online though and it was great
When Mt. Horeb rolls up the streets in the evening, and all the other restaurants are closed, this place has hot, tasty enough, and expensive food available. No seating inside, to go only.
This is a very good local Chinese place by the standards of small town Wisconsin. It seems the heat level has been adjusted for local palates: For fans of truly spicy foods, "Extra Spicy" means "I can tell there's a bit of heat there if I pay attention." Note that the place in Mount Horeb is closed Mondays, but the online ordering system may not alert you to that fact: You're allowed to place the order online whether the business is open or not. Tip for vegetarians: Unless you like the texture of raw tofu, don't order any dish with Bean Curd in the name (these are the only options under 'vegetarian' on the menu). For the fried tofu that's typical in American Chinese cuisine, try "General Tso's Tofu" (under the Chef's Specialties section; sadly, that dish contains absolutely no vegetables, so order them separately if you feel the need).
Ordered the yang chow fried rice and shrimps with chinese veggies but got shrimps with veggies instead. Shrimp with veggies is too salty and I could barely eat it. Yang chow tasted fresh but not the best I have had. I gave 2 stars for the great customer service and the freshness of the meals.
I was super sad to get Chang Jiang tonight and it is nowhere close to what I was hoping it would be. I ordered the beef fried rice and three egg rolls. The egg rolls were super mushy and I didn’t even finish one of them. (Which is so unusual. They’re very reminiscent of the egg rolls you can buy in the frozen section of your local grocery store. The beef fried rice had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It was completely lifeless I put two packs of soy sauce in it to try to breathe Life into it. It still was not great. It was just overcooked It still, maybe thrown in the box after being mixed with beef, no veggies no scrambled eggs, it wasn’t fried at all. No hoisin, no soy sauce, it wasn’t edible and I gave it a good effort. I go out of my way to the Raymond Rd., Chang Jiang In Madison for eggrolls, but this location is nowhere near the other ones. I’m super sad.
I just order from them today and exactly 5 hours after I get food poisoning after eating what I ordered after a very long day of nursing. :(
Very low quality food. Last time I went my coworker and I ordered chicken and mushroom. When we arrived we told them our names and order. The man at the counter then says: "You eat general tso??" No I ordered chicken and mushroom. "OK you eat general tso." Proceeds to hand me general tso. Did the exact same thing to my coworker.
Even if I didn't find stainless steel scrub pad parts in my food, I would still give it a 1 star because the food was bland and the egg rolls had no flavor but grease. I know it can happen to anyone anywhere accidents happen but slow down and watch what you are doing. That easily could have been an ER visit.
