The best coffee between Portland and Berkeley, and being a European grown daily cappuccino drinker for 25 years I would know :) Cool people and cute saucy decor, both relax and thought stimulating. It was an unexpected find and we will definitely come back.
Fun shop! Love the vibe. Coffee was delicious!
GREAT COFFEE! Negative reviews reflect a lack of humor of previous visitors as the owners is sarcastic and blunt but any individual level headed / even keel would definitely appreciate the energy. Remember the purpose of your stop, COFFEE, and I attest, its good!
This place is great! Always my pit stop on my travels. The staff are so down to earth they make you feel like you've known them forever. They have a great variety of not just coffee drinks, they offer tea and smoothies as well. And don't get me started on the SHAKES! They have the best espresso shake, with salted caramel drizzle, it the best shake EVER! Great for the summer time heat! The atmosphere is very cozy. The shop has all kinds of cool schwag and souvenir's . I highly recommend you stop in If your ever in the area. "Myers Flat, is where the Daily Grind is at"
Cute coffee stop on our way back home. If I had more room in my carry-on, I would have bought shirts and stocking staffers. Coffee was great.
Great place for a cup of coffee and a pastry. The coffee is good with two shots of espresso! One of the best features are the shirts that are available, and it's more than worth it to stop by just for them. Just stop in and get a few chuckles and a new shirt.
The Daily Grind is awesome. The girls that work there are really nice and so is the owner Jesse. The drinks are delicious and the bagels and treats are always fresh. They also have very unique options like the espresso shake. I would definitely recommend going there.
We stopped there everyday for a week while camping. The owner was amazing. The coffee delicious. I had Espressos, my wife had Mochas and the kids had shaved ice. It was a favorite stop each day. The signs are worth the trip alone.
One of my favorite coffee stops while on a road trip around northern California. As an iced coffee aficionado, I was extremely satisfied. The gal serving us was extremely friendly and working hard as they were busy with only one employee!
Jessie was a wonderful host and he made great coffees for us to set us up for a long day of shooting photos in the Redwoods. Thank You ! Your coffee was excellent, and your shop was an unexpected gem full of things we wanted to buy. xoxo
While on route for work I stopped in at this small coffee shop in Myers flat. It is a nice little place with a good selection of beverages and a friendly atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would reccomend anyone passing through to stop and enjoy a cup.
Great little place!! Super nice local owners. Good variety of QUALITY locally printed t-shirts in case you're traveling thru using The Emerald Trail app--perfect stop for fresh coffee and a souvenir! Easy to find, right off 101.
If you are visiting Meyers Flat, this is a great place to get Coffee, tea, pastries. Excellent.
Went for coffee this morning, lots of options, merch, stickers, and souvenir type things too. Very chill and coffee was delicious. Took my hubs back later in the morning for a Shot in the Dark and he loved it. Thanks!
This place is amazing. I went everyday of my vacation for a a nice Blended Mocha. If you are in the area it is a great deal for great coffee. I had no problems when I went which is rare for a coffee shop. What a great place. Two thumbs up from me.
We loved this adorable coffee place. Good coffee and awesome swag. Our only regret is that we didn’t buy more T-shirts.
Needed some coffee while we were staying at a campground nearby on a bike tour. Fantastic coffee and food and couldn’t recommend more - friendly staff, cool location, and a super interesting place (love the music too!). Avocado toast and the bagel were delicious
10 Stars. Oct 29, 2021 about 9am, a young girl served us each a large Americano. It is the best coffee I've ever had in my life. I live about 1200miles away, but I will return.
This place is sooooo cute! We almost missed it on our way out of the area, but I'm so glad we decided to stop by. I ordered my usual, a vanilla iced latte, and it was delicious! The shop was filled with merchandise (stickers, clothes, etc) that is all made by the business. We had the chance to speak with one of the owners, who said her husband's family has been in the area for many generations! Overall, would definitely recommend stopping here for both a treat and a taste of local life. P.S. We might have seen bigfoot there 🫣
I love this spot. Amazingly adorable. Fabulous coffee and treats. So many original flannels and tshirts (bought a few...) My friend's daughter got the cutest beanie -- knit brown with sparkly red antlers. The owner is the nicest man. I'm sure we'll be back tomorrow. It's a must check out stop if you're traveling through the Humboldt Redwoods!!
Chill place, great hand crafted coffee drinks. Lots of cool stuff to look at. Worth a stop :)
Cute little organic coffee shop with souvenirs!!
This drive through tree was nice. I dont remember the cost, less than $10. Make sure to bring exact cash for the drop box in case no one is at the window.
The prices and coffee were just right. You will really enjoy the cool vibe of this fun little shop!
I purchased a T Shirt from The Daily Grind a few months ago, it is very comfortable and the shop is great. Elijah who served me was very friendly and asked me how my day was which was much appreciated to be fair. Definitely worth the visit if you live in Humboldt or you’re passing by!
Comfortable seating this is a great stop The kids really needed a nourishing smoothie and I enjoyed that wonderful coffee so many choices this is always an epic fulfilling choice Spot to stop and recharge and see some beautiful local art get nice shwagg and souvenirs. We love our tees and socks and such a special painting. Thank you for your dedication and service been stopping here for decades!

Funky little coffee shop just when you need a hot drink pre or post visiting the giants. The owner was chill and kind of odd but I like that from someone who runs a coffee house! He was running the place all by himself and there was a decent line of customers, and he was knocking out those orders in a timely manner. Would totally stop by again someday.
I enjoyed the sticker selection here (smaller ones than the Burlington Campground visitor center) and the iced white chocolate mocha. Coming here during off season was lovely, easy service and tasty coffee, especially considering the secluded location. I enjoyed their merch, very cute and nice memorabilia from my trip!
Love this coffee shop. Check your bad vibes at the door. The coffee and espresso are strong and the intentions are good. We came here twice on our short stay in Myers Flat and can’t wait to get coffee here again on our next trip. Also a great place for funny and unique Humboldt themed merch. A lot of homemade stuff supporting local makers.
Stopped by this little coffee shop on my way out of camping. So glad I did! My latte was amazing and the employee was super sweet! If I ever find myself in the area, I would definitely come back again.
Super cute and cool coffee shop. Great vibes and the owners were so friendly!!! We went every morning on our camping trip and the coffee was great each day. Fairly priced as well!
Great little shop and an excellent spot for a cup of hot coffee. We stayed at the Giant Redwoods RV park around the corner and stopped here for coffee and pastries on our last day. The teenager behind the counter was helpful and polite. There are a lot of fun things to look at (t-shirts, stickers, bracelets) while they make your drink or toast your bagel. Their prices are super reasonable considering they’re the only coffee shop around.
Excellent Coffee, FAB souvenirs & really nice service. FYI - they have their own door. Not connected to GaRUMPY store next to it.
Favorite coffee spot along Avenue of the Giants! The owner Jessie is awesome and the coffee is next level. Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Was camping across the road for vacation and had coffee there 4 days in a row. Coffee was always good and didn't have any of the attitude problems noted by other reviewers. Owner was cool and gave us tips for day hikes with our toddler.
I enjoyed my double cappuccino which was made with organic coffee so I didn't taste any chemicals, just pure, good coffee. Wish I had another right now! Didn't have any problems with the staff or owner. Myers Flat is a beautiful little place. Sorry that it suffers from "Trimmigrants" and the problems that they bring. If I ever am by that way again, I will definitely stop in again.
Friendly service and convenient location, however my family of 3 all had stomach aches after eating a sandwich here made on the day. We have pretty strong stomachs too. Suggest getting packaged snacks here instead.
Visiting from New Zealand. This is the only unfriendly place we have visited. Everywhere we go we are meet by warm friendly helpful Americans that are proud to welcome visitors. The guy running this business is a rude obnoxious ass. Don't spoil your day by calling here. Better to drink water than coffee with no love.
If you like chocolate syrup to make a mocha it's up your alley. Just not for me. I tried to be friendly and make conversation but he didn't respond well in kind.
I asked the guy if I could use a bathroom, he rudely answered me that there's no bathroom and cussed at me today, what a guy, I was gonna get coffee too but I didn't. thank you fully Tom the next store is kind.
I'd like to give this place a better rating because the store was cute and the coffee was quite good. But I can't because the man behind the counter, who stated he was the owner, was incredibly rude despite the fact that my family came in with warm greetings. In addition to comments muttered not quite under his breath, he never gave us our totals to pay, asked if we had questions or needed anything else, and just generally was unwelcoming. Do not recommend and will not go back.
To avoid! The worst coffee I've ever had, in fact you can't call it coffee because it's so filthy. Plus the owner is hateful. He doesn't like tourists and doesn't hesitate to let people know... run away and don't spend your money here!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE. Basically I’ve walked in and out of this place.Worst experience ever! The men that works in this coffee shop is very rude.very loud disco music, worst customer service I’ve ever experienced .I didn’t even ordered anything because of the person that works in there,I’ve had a couple of questions about the coffee and all I got was attitude and no answers.won’t be coming back to this place!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The shop is cute and the coffee was good, but the man behind the counter was exceptionally rude even though my group and I greeted him with a friendly demeanor. He made snarky comments not quite under his breath, didn’t tell us how much our drinks were, or even offer to give change. His attitude soured the entire experience. I will never go back here.
This was a bummer. The place was very dirty, the staff were a bit rude, had dirty hands/fingernails while handling food and drink, and there was dog fur from the black pug roaming around stuck to my coffee cup. They need to clean up big time. It's unsanitary.
Went into this coffee shop to start my day trip off, was greeted with blasting electronic dance music and sarcasm at 8 in the morning. Ask if they have flavored syrups…the answer I received was “yeah, this is a real coffee shop”. Not of course we do what would you like or these are the syrups we have…just miserable. Terrible customer service, attitude…avoid at all cost….more coffee down the road. Won’t be back.
This place is super rude to anyone who is not a local. If you’re camping or on an epic adventure with your friends and family skip this place. My coffee is cold, the what I assume son who took our order, let’s just say the Apple did not fall far from the redwood tree from his cranky pops behind the counter. Lots of signs about no whining around, well your customers want to whine because the coffee and attitude are lame. And I told you as much to your face.
I had a *very* disappointing experience at this establishment. The black coffee was served from a carafe and was room temperature or cold. Additionally, the owner and (presumably) the son were rude and unresponsive. I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was notably poor. I would not recommend this place, especially for non-locals. Ruined my morning on our otherwise fantastic roadtrip.
