Brass Rail Bar & Grill

Now this is a bar for Germans. Smoking out front. Pizza inside. Nobody in here so my beer is full before it’s empty. My wife made me leave before close. I am divorcing her as soon as we get back to Deucheland. I’ll be back and with out the old battle axe next time.

My partner and I stumbled upon this place in search of a smash burger after a day of exploring the avenue of the Giants. The food was excellent, as was the service ! as it turns out it was karaoke night so naturally we stayed to sing a few tunes. We had a great time chatting with all the local people who were incredibly welcoming. An absolute hidden gem. Thanks again for a great night!!

Had the smash burger. I tell ya these people. They treated us like they've known us for years. From the owner telling my wife and I to take his seat because they were slammed. And it's obvious why. Every single employee was so on top of it we didn't even know who our server was. We were treated like family. Now the food. The smash burger. Secret sauce made it all. Cooked perfect. Juicy with that crispy outer shell yet not burnt. Excellent consistency of proportions. The seasoned beef separated it from all other burgers. Wife insisted I try her chicken sandwich and I was like naw, all chicken tastes the same. Told her I didn't want to ruin the flavor in my mouth from the burger but....loving husband that I am, took one for the team... No it's not like any other chicken sandwich. Had no idea Hogwarts had a culinary academy because this was wizardry. You guys straight up rock!

Great place! Awesome food! The Buffalo chicken sandwich was perfection…huge chunks of perfectly crispy juicy spicy chicken with perfect accompaniments. A succulent pulled pork sandwich. Good beer. And super attentive bartender and chef. Dinged one star for atmosphere ONLY because it was a chilly evening and the fireplace wasn’t going, though we might never have left the comfy leather sofas if it had been! Oh, and there’s kind of a room for everyone…patios, bar, high tables, comfy couches, and a pool table!

AMAZING place to stop for a drink and some dinner, even return the next night for happy hour! The locals are welcoming and helpful, bartender makes a great drink and they have two patios! Kitchen was fast and delicious, wish we were here longer to enjoy it more!

This place is great! Stopped by on a drive along the California coast (coming from Ohio, of all places!) and what a spot! Delicious, handmade food, great drinks, and Alysha our bartender was so nice! I love a place with history, and this place definitely has a lot! I’d reccomend stopping by for food, drinks, and fun any time!

Visiting from the east coast, we had an amazing time at the Brass Rail Bar and Grill! The bartender was amazing, with her margarita skills! Open late, bar food, fair pricing, and great company- what more could you ask for?!

Not only fun but the food was delicious. Tuesday is taco night and we got to enjoy their first carnitas. Excellent! Carne asada tacos were also exceptional. Owner joined us for cocktails - great guy and good staff. Thanks for a great happy hour. Check out the fireplace…

A little known gem! Take the time to get off the highway and find this place! The bartender is on point! The Monday night special is BBQ! Tri-tip, chicken and a hot link! So yummy. The spices were great and the meat was so tender and delicious! They also have taco Tuesday, give them some love!

I only went to try the food. I’ve heard Taco Tuesdays are fire. I was greatly. GREATLY, disappointed at my food. My order: 2 burgers, chicken tenders, 3 curly fries. Almost eighty bucks, so I expected damn good quality food. The burgers were good. But all the curly fries were garbage. And the burgers don’t come with fries. They don’t have regular fries by the way. I stood at the bar for around 7 minutes before the one bartender acknowledged my presence. There was five people at the bar, not a busy night. I know this is a bar not a restaurant but I thought the food would be better. The food experience was as I said disappointing. But the drinking experience might be better. Personally I’ll never go back ever. Best of luck, the drinks are all it’s good for probably….
