We enjoyed a great brunch here in the comfortable dining room. Service was excellent. He knew the menu well and made great suggestions. Other servers also greeted us and wished us well as we left. The menu has great selections and our entrees were well prepared and delicious.
Opening night and they did a seamless job! The wait staff was very attentive even though they were extremely busy. The food was shareable size, unique flavors, cooked well, cocktails definitely were an elevated experience and quality. I highly recommend the Midwest gothic. My girlfriend’s and I will definitely be back.
WOW!!! It's been a while since a restaurant in Naperville has impressed me THIS much. From the crafted cocktails to the desserts and everything in-between, this place kicks ass. Our two favorite dishes were the steak bites and the octopus, but with plenty of other contenders. You can tell this chef really cares about flavor and style. The steak bites alone almost made me cry tears of joy. The one thing I regret is not taking a photo of the chocolate banana bread pudding for dessert. It looked so good I completely forgot to take a photo and inhaled it. Without a doubt returning next weekend to try the rest of the menu. The atmosphere inside is super cozy. Inside there's plenty of custom green decor like moss walls and resin art. The owner definitely spent the time and money to make a really unique design for the restaurant.
Date night with my husband. Lennon's was nice. There was a DJ playing and we sat outside. It was cozy, music was good, not too loud but loud enough that I didn't hear other conversations. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the shareable small plates. We ordered burrata, lamb meatballs and penne with asparagus. Each dish was well made. I also ordered a cocktail called red velvet. It tasted like a bit like a mulled wine combined with sangria. Very good.
We loved all the food we got. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese. Our server, Brendan, made the experience even more amazing. We will definitely be back!
Love the atmosphere cocktails were delicious . Food was small plates served family style Nice variety of options including grilled octopus, greek salad, steak and mushroom bites, salmon and bok choy , chicken and cauliflower on rice.
From the moment I walked in, Lennon’s impressed me with its warm atmosphere and attention to detail. The space is beautifully designed, the menu is creative and well thought out, and every dish I tried was full of flavor. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming! something you don’t always find. It’s clear a lot of care went into creating this restaurant, and it shows in every aspect. Lennon’s has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
Lennon's was an amazing experience! ALL of the dishes were so memorable and delicious. I went with a large group and the staff did a lovely job ensuring we were all taken care of and accommodated. They offer numerous food options, cocktails, hot teas, and desserts! This will probably be a new favorite spot to bring friends :)
This new restaurant is a fantastic addition to the Naperville River walk area. The staff were so friendly and attentive, (something that seems to be disappearing in the service industry). The manager checked in the owner checked in, offered us a tour of the upstairs venue where live entertainment will be held and/or reserved for special events. My daughter and I try to go out at least once a month. This will definitely on our preferred list. We’ve already shared our experience with many others.
This place is absolutely amazing, service couldn’t have been better with awesome waitress, food was so delicious, and the owner Jeremy was great man. Made sure everything was running smooth and customers were happy
With the constant changes of restaurants in downtown Naperville, I am so hopeful this one lasts. With it just opening, they are still getting their footing but they are stacked with a professional staff. The drink menu is great, but they are also more than happy to make an off menu drink that will be delicious. Perfect spot for happy hour.
Food was delicious. Loved the atmosphere, and such a perfect spot to grab food and drinks!! Cannot wait to revisit
Great place for breakfast, sit at the bar with joe and have a Mississippi brandy holiday drink.
We Enjoyed Friday evening at Lennons. My hamburger was delicious and my husband loved his steak bites. After dinner we enjoyed going upstairs to watch the Comedy Acts at Oren’s suggestion! We were pleasantly surprised to make an entire evening at Lennons.
Everything about this place was amazing. We tried a lot of the menu items which were all great but the fried chicken stole the show. I didn’t eat the burger but everyone else said it was amazing too. All the food tasted great. The staff was attentive when needed and not overbearing. Festive vibe and all around fabulous experience!
Our first time at Lennon’s with friends and for sure we’ll return. What a great restaurant at a great location in downtown Naperville. The food was excellent and delicious. All of the staff were always available. The atmosphere and decor were very unique and modern. A great experience all around. A 5 star for sure.
Great, unique flavors. We split the pesto burrata, a caramelized apple onion flatbread with feta cheese, and the half chicken. It was the perfect amount of food for 2 hungry people. Drinks are expensive but consistent with other higher end restaurants
My friends and I went to Lennons last night for a birthday celebration, it was a perfect spot! I love the family style dishes, all of them were incredible, they have great cocktails, and the service was great. Looking forward to coming back!
We've dined at Lennon's probably 4/5 times since they opened. It has become our fav place in NVille for a great dining experience. The atmosphere, service and food quality and choices are terrific.
A Must-Try in Downtown Naperville! We visited this new small plate restaurant and was blown away! The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. The small plate concept was executed perfectly with a wide variety of flavorful, beautifully presented dishes. The drink menu had something for everyone and paired wonderfully with the food. But the star of the night? The banana chocolate bread pudding—absolutely heavenly. I shared it this time, but next visit, I’m not sharing a single bite. Can’t wait to go back
I have lived in Naperville for 42 years...I have visited each restaurant at this exact location since it was Leonardo's Pizza... Lennon's outshined them all... from the moment we walked in the door the warm and pleasant greeting we received was a rare treat... the beautiful and gorgeous clean and cozy atmosphere with pillow/booth type seating as well as stunning high tops to excellent bar seating area and beautiful warm couch area at the window overlooking all of the Saturday Jefferson Street action! Also a very appealing 2nd floor with totally different vibe...great bar, live and GOOD music with small cozy tables and warm lighting... the food was superb....the service was equally excellent 👌👍 very attentive server and always at hand...we could not have been more delighted when the owner Jeramie actually popped over to our table to check in on our experience thus far...I don't think I've ever experienced such GENUINE warmth from a restaurant owner to date...I was celebrating my 63rd birthday with lifelong girlfriends and Jeramie only added to that fantastic experience....I highly recommend a visit.... it's a great venue for a full meal, small plates with drinks or even just a few cocktails over some great entertainment....thank YOU Lennon's for an outstanding first experience.. .
Amazing restaurant! Beautiful decor and atmosphere inside along with some really nice outdoor spots and live music upstairs. Food and drinks were spot on, appetizers were 🔥. The octopus in ceviche were delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely go back!
The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and welcoming — with beautiful interior design that sets the tone for an upscale yet comfortable evening. Service was attentive without being intrusive; every member of the staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations.
Celebrated a birthday on a busy Saturday night. Service was excellent as was the food. Tried several food options and were happy with all of our choices. Our server, Brendan was wonderfully attentive and helped with recommendations.
The food was excellent! Their cocktails were great too, especially the False Spring. The whole staff was friendly and created a great atmosphere. I'm excited to see Lennon's as a staple in downtown Naperville.
Im a regular down town naperville and this place is amazing! Will offered up the best pairings of wines and small plates and talked us into coming back just to try the desert and wine pairing next time! The lamb meatballs and the Spanish red were absolutely amazing also loved the jin jin and insolito. Can't wait to come back
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe, appreciated the efficient service, and loved all the dishes we tried. It has the feel of an upscale tropical lounge. With the multiple levels, huge open window entry, and tasteful music, it was a true escape - unique from any other setting in downtown Naperville. We’ll continue to dine here!
We had an awesome anniversary dinner there on their opening night. Food and service were amazing. Managers came to our table twice to make sure everything was going as planned. Definitely plan to go back. Excited to see what the 2nd and 3rd floor brings to this space.
We recently celebrated our friend’s engagement here and were not disappointed! The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere made the evening even more special. We’ll definitely be back!
Five stars!!!!! We had an absolutely wonderful time at Lennons! Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was top-notch. We ordered the calamari, Greek salad, steak bites, burger, and meatball flatbread. While every dish was delicious, the flatbread was our favorite. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Honestly, everything we ordered we would get again, it’s just delicious food. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were fantastic, super friendly, attentive, and clearly love what they do. The place has a great vibe (energetic yet relaxed) with an upscale lounge feel that makes it perfect for date night, cocktails with friends, or a casual dinner out. Highly recommend Lennons, we’ll definitely be back soon!
Lennons is a hidden gem, and I'm so glad our friend recommended it and got us there! Not only is the food scrumptious, but the atmosphere is unique and intimate! The natural touches in the decor make it especially homey throughout. The owner/manager, Jeremy, was especially welcoming to our group, and the entertainment manager, Oren, gave us a delightful tour of the upper floors. Jeremy has obviously done a great job of training the staff, because it's a well-oiled, smooth-running restaurant! I highly recommend it!
We had dinner at Lennon’s and it was fantastic! We had to wait a bit for our table, which was no big deal, and the manager more than made up for it. Drinks were great, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was really cool. We continued the night on the second floor which had another bar and an acoustic duo. We will be returning soon!
Loved our evening at Lennon's! Our 10 year old shared several small plates with my husband and I while our younger two enjoyed their food off the kids menu. Drinks and dessert were fantastic. The atmosphere was beautiful. We'll definitely be back.
Went in right before closing to get a drink and some food, but they closed the kitchen 10 minutes earlier. They let us sit there past closing and allowed us to order anyway. We ordered the Lennon's Big Burger which did not come out rushed or any less. It was one of the best burgers I've had in the suburbs and I wish I took a picture. The cherry on top was that they didn't charge us for food. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming.
I love this place!! The first time we came here, Jacky was our server. She is BEST!! So personable and very attentive. She made our experience so great! I came back here a few weeks ago because my boyfriend had planned a celebration for me and it was amazing. Oren is incredible. He is so accommodating and made sure we had a great time! Our group was drinking quite a bit but Will was bartending, did such an efficient job! Most importantly, made the drinks SO GOOD!! Thank you guys so much! We will be coming back soon
Lennon’s serves tapas and craft cocktails in an aesthetically pleasing space. The second floor of this three-story restaurant has live entertainment and the top floor is slated to be a steakhouse. Sarah took care of us and was fabulous, friendly and engaging. She was always checking on us. My husband ordered an old-fashioned and I went with Sarah’s suggestion, the Cloud Cover. Pisco, spiced pineapple, lemon juice and egg white - delightful. We shared four small plates for dinner starting with a beautiful gem salad. Watercress with blue cheese, snap peas, apple slices, cranberries dressed with a sherry vinaigrette. My only complaint was the salad was overdressed. Of course when I see deviled eggs on a menu, it’s a must. The BLT deviled eggs didn’t disappoint with its smokey bacon. The next small plate we shared was the charred Spanish octopus with gigante beans and red chili aïoli. The octopus was tender and charred perfectly. Last up, the beef tenderloin steak bites skewered with mushrooms with a chimichurri sauce and fried leeks. There were only two small steak bites on each of the three skewers, a very small portion. Definitely not worth $24 for the amount of steak that probably amounted to 2-3 ounces. However, the steak was tender and flavorful, but the star of the show actually was the fried leeks. Just give me a plate of those. We ended our dining experience sharing a dessert, the granny smith tarte tatin. A nice ending to our meal. I hope to go back to experience Lennon’s brunch on a weekend, also an evening listening to live music on the second floor with one of their craft cocktails in hand. I hope this restaurant succeeds because everything from the decor to the friendly staff to the delicious food and creative cocktails was fantastic.
Went to Lennon's for a night out with friends and they had been open a week. The atmosphere and decor was beautiful and the service was attentive, especially the bus boys. I ordered a cocktail that was too sweet and then ordered a beer, which was too warm. I think they are still working out their recipes and there was an issue with the chiller. The food is shareable small plates, and we chose burrata, a flatbread, steak bites, and ceviche. Everything was good.
dinner was very good. Great atmosphere and great service. Had octopus, whipped ricotta, steak, pork chops and a few other items. Very solid and would go back again!
We loved the shared plates menu at Lennon’s. We had Little Gem salad, lamb meatballs and hummus. Our lovely server was Angel, and she was very attentive. A very nice addition to downtown Naperville dining.
Good overall. I liked 3 of 4 dishes we ordered. My guest liked 2 of 4. In general everything was fine. But nothing really grabbed us to a point where we’d come back for a specific dish. The restaurant is on the first floor with a club on the second. So the music is clubby, which might not be what you’re looking for at dinner. The Foccacia dish was very good. But the ricotta with it was unusually sweet. I found it interesting and I liked it. But I could see it being way too sweet for most.
Really disappointing. First of all, the place is WAY TOO LOUD!!! It's impossible to have any conversation at your table over a meal... the bar (area) is especially loud (bartenders are screaming when talking to customers)... terrible, off-key music is being played throughout the venue (also way too loud). -- Decor was nice, in general. -- Service was mixed... food arrived fairly quickly and plates cleared promptly. But our waitress had zero personality... I felt like she was being punished by trying to help us. -- Food was also mixed. Deviled eggs and buratta were very good... would get again. But the calamari and beef tenderloin skewers were both greasy. (The beef also had fat and grizzle... and since it's one of the higher-priced menu items, this was a real miss.) -- We asked for more aoili/sauce for the calamari as well as some red/marinara sauce... and were charged an extra $0.75 (for each) on the bill for a tablespoon of each. Really?? -- Wasn't given/offered a customer copy of the receipt/bill, either. Very unusual. -- All-in-all, not a very pleasant dining experience. Doubtful we'll return.
I have little to say about this place. I had a cocktail that was as mediocre as they come, and food that was seasoned with a pinch of salt and nothing else. They’re playing it safe by offering simple fare, but maybe a little too simple.
Very odd service with Sysco food and don’t plan to return. Made a reservation for 2pm then was called and told we could come at one thirty or four because they close at three to reset for dinner. (Maybe adjust your Open Table reservations options.) We didn’t make another reservation because they didn’t make it seem like we had to over the phone. We walked in at four and were told they were overbooked for the night. We asked if we could sit at the bar and were told yes but the hostess seemed hesitant. We sat down and it took forever to be greeted. A server got behind the bar and tried to hold it down because the bartender was MIA. The bartender comes in and is clearly just late for his shift and gets behind the bar wearing his winter coat. He gets situated and finally comes over and takes our order and gets us water. Some of the food was pretty good like the burrata, but the Mac and cheese was very clearly just microwaved. I’m talking the sauce separated and the noodles on top were dried out. We were hardly checked on. We watched another couple come in and be told they had no beer on tap so they left. The server who was trying her best to take care of us and another couple at the bar told the other couple that the soup of the day was broccoli cheddar. After she walked away the bartender (Ari, I think) then asked the patrons at the bar what the soup of the day was. Incredibly unprofessional. Eventually we did get to leave and the real kicker is that there were only two tables seated in the whole place. So much for being overbooked lol! Very odd experience and I will not be back. You could also see that this place just gets their food from Sysco trucks. The gloves behind the bar are Sysco and the quality of the food gives Sysco. Don’t waste your time. You can get better food in the frozen section at Mariano’s :)
New restaurant in downtown Naperville? Have to try it! Walked in and appreciated the warm, nicely decorated atmosphere. Meeting a friend, I enjoy the concept of tapas, small plates, so we can try more dishes. Cherokee, our waitress, was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We split three small plates. I wanted to enjoy the meatballs more than I did (this was not her recommendation but I wanted to try it). The description sounds like it will be super flavorful but I feel it fell flat, lacking. The salmon was tasty and the penne was super tasty with loads of flavor. 2 out of 3 were good.
Love the decor. Service is insanely slow and we didn’t get everything we ordered. Also we were only able to order off the restaurant week menu (that was our only option according to our waiter) but other people coming in after us were ordering from the normal menu. Food was fine, nothing amazing.
I’ve ordered from Lenons before during brunch, but this time was a major letdown. My medium-well burger was overcooked and overly charred—dry, harsh, and lacking any juiciness. Key ingredients like the brisket and bacon were barely there: I got one piece of bacon split in half, and the brisket was dry, tough, and stringy—almost like beef jerky. The burger had none of the tenderness or flavor I expected. For $25, it didn’t taste premium at all. The menu has a lot of appeal, but execution needs to match the hype. The concept is good—it just didn’t come through again.
Attractive menu that unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The focaccia was the highlight, the fried chicken was bland and dry. The mac & cheese was pathetic. Naperville is in desperate need of a high quality non corporate owned spot. This did not impress.
Although aesthetically pleasing, Lennon’s definitely missed the mark. We came on a Saturday around noon, only 1 other couple was there, and it still took over 10 minutes for our server to acknowledge us and bring us waters. The online menu doesn’t reflect the actual menu they were offering which was disappointing. I asked to try the make your own Bloody Mary cart and told it was not being offered that day which was odd considering they only offer brunch 2 days a week. The Bloody Mary I did get from the bar just tasted like bottled mix with no spice at all. I ordered the Mexican omelet which is suppose to come with tomatillo salsa. When I asked for the salsa because it didn’t arrive with my omelet I was told they didn’t have any…and was given Tabasco sauce instead. Confused why certain ingredients are listed on the menu if they don’t even have them?? Not worth the price for the menu disappointments/poor service.
Booked a 7:15 reservation, got in at 6:50ish. They had us go to the bar upstairs while we waited. 7:25 comes around, no communication. We go down to check in and they say 5-10 minutes. I expressed frustration and they said have a drink on them. Appreciated the gesture but was still 7:50 with no additional communication. They also said they had no idea when a table would open up. We didn’t really have options of going elsewhere for dinner on a Saturday night without waiting so we gave it a shot. Bartender ended up getting us service upstairs for the main menu which was nice. 8:15 comes around and someone checks on us and asks if we want to sit downstairs not even acknowledging the hour delay in seating. Food was decent, live music was nice, service was non existent. The bartender was trying to smooth things over but all it would’ve taken was clear communication up front regarding delays in seating or finding an alternative. Frustrating. Beware.
I’m sorry but no, it just doesn’t work. I did have high expectations based on the reviews and the place is very pretty. I wish I didn’t. I need a decent wine with my meal and there are just no decent wine options here. No decent bourbon to fall back on with well only. Calamari is overcooked and chewy. The sauce with it isn’t good, it’s just jar mayo and ketchup. Everything comes with bread so if you plan on having a bread dinner then you won’t be disappointed. Lamb meatballs are overcooked, dry and without flavor. The burger is decent but no, absolutely not even close to the best in the Chicago suburbs like other reviews say, it’s not even close to being the best burger in town. The owner is nice and comped the meal. It’s a nice gesture for sure but there is no way I will return. It is cheap and a good amount of food if someone wants to eat on a budget so in that sense I do recommend it.
