Stopped in for an early dinner. Beet salad was very good. Had the steak taco and pork belly taco. Steak was amazing and had good spice to it, pork belly was good but had a more muted pallet than I expected. Guava cheesecake tastes like real guava, not the candy paste. Server was on point and anticipated my needs more than once. Very good experience.

This is my go to for Mexican! The Tacos are so yummy and they make Guacamole table side, yep, a must do!! If you are a fan of jalapeño margaritas like me, they make the best Margaritas. I’d say they stand out amongst the rest. They have outside seating and inside seating. The Square (town-center ) but us locals have always called it the square. It has some great after dinner hang out options to make it a nice extended date night! Maybe grab ice at Mayday around the corner after dinner.

Great service and amazing food. First we had the chips with salsa that they bring everyone. Then I had a steak and a chicken taco. They were fantastic! My sister really enjoyed a pork belly one and a steak one as well. We shared the cream-stuffed churros for desert. Quick and easy.

An overall amazing experience! The food was absolutely amazing! I got the steak tacos and they had to be some of the best tacos I’ve had. The waitress we had was also very nice and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean as well as the tables. I definitely recommend and it is one of my new favorite places to get a taco. Also, the chips and Queso were very great. Was in town for business. Spotted the guacamole as my coworker and I walked by during an afternoon shopping excursion. Had a variety of appetizers and a specialty cocktail. Everything was on point and very well done. Both the bartender and overall atmosphere was pleasant. Will be back for a full meal next time we are in town.

On vacation stopped here twice, we had the guacamole table side prepared by an amazing worker with a great energy about him named Graham, I’ve previously worked as a server and this kid stands out to me as someone whom has excellent customer service I really hope the best for this dude, managers make this kid a server he’s a gem 5 stars just for graham alone and the margaritas kick ass

I especially loved the Peruvian rice bowl — an unbelievable explosion of flavors in every bite. There are also several taco options, and you can’t go wrong with the steak tacos. We’ll definitely be coming back next summer!

We had a wonderful dinner at the Flying Iguana in Neptune Beach. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. We ordered the Peruvian beef rice bowl, the Junk Yard taco, the blackened shrimp taco, and a beef taco—each one was delicious and perfectly prepared. The wait staff was superb—friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. The atmosphere inside was relaxed and inviting, and while there were TVs showing sports, they weren’t overwhelming or distracting from the dining experience. We chose to eat indoors, but the outdoor seating looked lovely as well. This is a great spot for flavorful food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Honestly, this was a pretty good experience overall. Chips and salsa were a good way to kick it off but also it was $3.50 for the order. We also ordered the queso dip which was excellent. On to the meal, we ordered the Steak Bowl which was a bit too spicy for my preference (8 out of 10 spicy level). The other was the chicken bowl was in my opinion much better than the steak bowl. Our server was really cool and the restaurant looked clean. Will be making a return visit!

Our bartender Donovan was great and knowledgeable. There was another guy behind the bar helping, but I didn’t catch his name, but he was great as well. We had the steak, pork belly, achiote chicken, and shrimp tacos, along with ceviche, chips with salsa, and queso. Everything was so tasty and cooked perfectly. Now the drinks! Omg! So good! From the mixed shots to the margarita, it all was blended perfectly and tasted amazing. We got lit! The vibes were great here, and other bars are walkable if you want to bar hop after. I’d definitely recommend!

My fav Athletic Brewing NA beer was on hand. In enjoyed the refreshing drink along with the deliciously fresh guacamole and chips. Ordered the Peruvian whole chicken that came with four sides. Chicken was baked to perfection and was juicy and tasty. Lucky to take home leftovers to also enjoy. Looking forward to my next visit soon and treat myself again!

Looking for a great margarita with some great tacos? This is the place!!! Took my wife for a valentines day lunch the day before(cuz we like less people) and it was great. The handmade guac at your table to order hits the spot and taste just as good as we make at home. Its got a great beach vibe with the open side and the coastal breeze coming through. We have tried a few taco places and always have a margarita with them and this is by far the best we have had in JAX area so far. The tacos and the margaritas!!! Look forward to our next visit!!!

Street parking here will be impossible to use the valet if available and then validate it. once we validated it and decided to go elsewhere they were cool and just gave our keys back and told us where the car was so we kept our parking spot, but that is the parking people the same valet can be validated to several restaurants. This is definitely a more upscale looking Mexican place where u will pay about 4 to 6 dollar a taco. And 9 dollar drinks. We sat at the bar and they have some awesome craft drinks, but the reason why we came in was because we were waiting for another restaurants table and there was a sign outside for happy hour and once we came in it was over. So we had to drink on regular prices even tough they failed to take the bait sign out of customers sight. That felt like I was cheated a bit. BRAZILIANS DO IT BETTER - pretty nice and tangy drink with blueberries yummy and sweet at the same time. RABBITS FOOT- the best drink I had here so far. The mezcal is smokey and blends well with the citrus I have never tasted a smoked mezcal I am impressed, it was super new to try a smoked flavored drink and it worked very well. JUNKYARD TACO- even tough I am not a huge fan of chicken nor potatoes, this taco has me wanting more. The sweet corn the sauce and the meat blended well together and it was perfect! I would definitely recommend this taco, comes in a soft flour shell. SCALOP TACO- pretty impressed. The flavor of the scallops was pretty nice and the soft shell taco brought it all together. The scalols were nicely seasoned and crashed in runway with the pickled cabbage. It is a good taco. SOUR CREAM- YES I HAD TO PAY FOR AN SMALL SIDE OF SOUR CREAM. SO SMALL IT WAS NOT EVEN A DOLLAR WORTH IN VALUE AND I PAID $ 1 see pic, why pay for a side of sour cream?? it was so small and eating the taco it fell all over the bar, I was not happy I feel like they were a bit too much charging for this. COCONUT FLAN- Smallest 9 dollar flan ever, event tough it was a pretty tasty flan, with black berries and blueberries, sauces and a cute and tasty sugar cookie perfect on the sweet amount and the coconut taste was on point I think that the serving was too small for the price. yes so, the only reason why I gave 4 stars is cause my friends really liked here cause if it was for I only, I would give them 3 stars. I think that the food and drinks were good, the decor was nice, but the service was ok and normal for sitting at a restaurant bar, nothing about the service stood out to me and the fact that the happy hour was over and the sign was still bating people in, the side of condiments for things ordered were being charged when to even a complementary side came with the plate, and the fact that the dessert was so small and expensive, makes me think that this place has a bit of rethinking to do. At least in my opinion I was not 100% ok with the things I saw and experienced. I would not tell you not to go here, but I definitely would not be the one to tell my friends that we should visit here.

Great place for lunch date or just to grab drinks. They have two outdoor patios; One is dog friendly so bring your fur babies along with you! They have a large selection of margaritas and cocktails to choose from and they are all amazing.The guacamole is to die for and you're given a hearty serving. The service is always quick and the servers are always so kind and accommodating. I would definitely recommend checking it out! 4/5

We stopped in here for Taco Tuesday and so glad we did. Everything was excellent. We sat at the bar, like we always do! We started with the quest and had pico + some poblano peppers. Then for the main event, shrimp tacos and mushroom tostada. YUMMY. The beer was cold and the service was great. Definitely worth a visit (or two!).

Amazing location with a lot more potential. Went on a slow day and service was expedient and friendly. However, the restaurant was in need of tidying up. Menus had to be exchanged, tables were sticky, and after seeing the guacamole cart, we opted to skip the table side service. Food came and was decent. I was a little turned off with the cleanliness so my appetite subsided.

Parking sucks!! I’ll just get that out of the way. After 4pm it’s all pay parking. Spots are saved for valet parking. The food was good, I got three tacos, the scallop, Baja fish and the blackened shrimp. Very good. The margarita was good too. Other than the parking in this area it was fine

My wife and I had a pretty decent meal there. Good selection of tap beers. Good selection of individually priced tacos. Reasonable prices. Overall I thought everything was great with the exception of our hostess. We asked to be seated outside. There were about 4 to 5 tables out there and the hostess tried to sit us next to the only occupied one that had two very small and loud children at it. As we approached the table, we asked to move one table over and the hostess was miffed and Grabbed our menus and Slammed them down on the table over without turning nor saying a word to us and just stormed off. Not for nothing this is behavior I would expect from a teenager or younger. Again, I thought the food was good, our server was great, but the hostess needed a time out.

Not "Mexican" food per our waitress....! We have been eating Mexican food for a very very long time (lived in AZ for 25+ years). I was stymied at some of the descriptions of the food items on the menu...and this is when she told me it's more of a "Latin fusion" menu. Hmmm. She asked me how I would like it cooked, I indicated medium rare. See the photo... it came out like a work of art! But that is where the fun ended, since the meat was over cooked and overspiced tasting more like Mexican meatloaf made from tough old beef. yuk. it had many strange things piled on it including a chunk of pork belly that was hard to chew and very salty. Oh well live and learn. I wanted sweet potato fries instead of regular fries and was up charged $2 for that privilege... making my burger a total of $15, very pricey for something I did not enjoy but yes I did eat it because I was hungry. The waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere out on the front porch was good. I don't think I will be eating here again however due to the prices and the strangeness of the menu. Suggestion to management might be to reduce the amount of chips you give to 2 people... use the cost savings to lower your prices on your menu a bit? I felt very bad leaving behind all those delicious chips! They were the highlight of the meal in my opinion!

Gluten friendly options. There is lots of cross contamination. No separate fryer for chips. Meat all cooked on same grill. The shrimp was over cooked, tough, and flavorless. Pork belly taco was good.

The food was lacking. The service was good. I have the "elote" street corn. Really the corn was lacking. I have the blackened shrimp taco and it was lacking something and the shrimp was burned.

Non-traditional paella, but it was delicious. Update 05/24/2022. Our second experience in this place disappointed us. Guacamole was super, BUT everything else (tacos, ceviche, drinks) were just okay . Food did not even taste good. Hence changing my previous 5 star rating to 3 stars.

The flying🦎iguana comes nothing close to👎Latin type cusine. The food they bring out can feed a small👶child and is way over💰💵priced! On top of the pitiful🍽portion size the taste😷is also unappetizing. They do have traditional tacos🌮but also some strange combinations🍤🦑and each is $6-$7 a💸piece! After trying the tiny appetizers I thought💭🤔to give them a chance on entrees. We ordered the🐄Chimichuri steak and asked our🧑‍💼waiter if it was big enough for two adult people.😆(not kids) And I thought for it being $33💰💰💰that it would be a generous🥩🥩amount of steak. My🤯mistake! Came in late night 1040 so they only had the late night menu which only carried five items to choose from ☹️ the host sat us down to a DIRTY booth when we asked if she could clean the table she took out a WET WIPE and proceeded to half wipe the table off it was no difference from when we sat down photos are included. After a brief wait our waiter came out took our order. steak tacos. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich it took a lil while for it to come out. When my taco came out it was like warm at best 😫 husband said the Cuban sandwich was good. It was a miss for me tonight. Their was a live band playing and plenty of people in the place.

Taco lovers beware, they tried to get too fancy with the tacos, but neglected to put anything with flavor into them. Salsa had no spice or flavor either. Very overpriced for the fare, even considering location. Left me very sad.

This restaurant is more of an Americanized Mexican restaurant but with a unique menu. The food their doesn't have that feel like real Mexican restaurants have. Don't go in expecting to order a regular beef taco or anything of sorts. If you like different Mexican, with random additives, go for it. But I had NO idea and wish I would have read more than just a few 5 star reviews. Very loud and server next to us was a bit obnoxious. Def not a recommended Mexican restaurant of my liking.
