Stopped in for lunch today and was not disappointed! We were greeted warmly and promptly by Danyal. Our server, Bobby, was PHENOMENAL! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We loved all his recommendations! The two managers ( the male that I did not get his name) and Brittany also stopped by to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. It was a great visit and we can't wait to come back!!
Can I just start off by saying outstanding customer service to Sebastian. If your manager is reading this please give this gentleman a raise 🙏! He was fast , very educated about the menu items , and full of joy with a charming smile . Our experience was lovely here and the food was the bomb . Mom dukes had the baby back ribs full of so much flavor and a great portion that covered the whole plate. Me myself the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were phenomenal 😋 along with the fresh handmade french fries. Also, for dessert, the fudge sundae was delicious as well . If your looking for a afforable restaurant Firebirds is definitely it ! If you go to this location ask for Sebastian he will definitely make sure your served with the upmost respect. Wonderful atmosphere at this restaurant as well. Thank you for making my mom enjoy her valentines day gift . Rate 10/10 we will be back again !
100% one of our top dining experiences. Starting with Sydney, our extremely knowledgeable, and kind server. Really, she should be promoted to dining coach, or food expert... her recommendations and knowledge of the menu surpassed our expectations and enhanced our experience. We selected the BLT salad with the roasted garlic ranch. 100% the way to go. I selected their Ceasar salad, likely one of the best I've ever had. Our main course, the bacon wrapped filet, 9oz, one with the shrimp and baked potato, the other with the mashed. Both steaks were on point, and perfectly cooked medium for us. Rarely do we see a perfectly cooked steak like this. Our sides didn't disappoint either, with the potatoes being very fresh. The shrimp were slightly overcooked, but this is a common mistake with shrimp, they still tasted good, just a little tough. Our finale, we selected the creme brulee cheese cake, but they were out of the full pieces, so Sydney offered to bring their petite pieces complimentary, so we accepted, and selected the 5 layer lemon cake. Can confirm, one of the best lemon cakes we've ever had. The frosting was light and fluffy, not too sweet, the lemon was not artificial, not overpowering. Moist cake. Served with a side of blueberries in blueberry sauce, a great compliment I had never tried before. All in all, great beer and wine selections, great ambiance and atmosphere, food was on point, but the true highlight was our conversations eith Sydney. Her attentiveness and relaxed, open and friendly personality made it a delight to share our dining experience with her.
Had a great dinner! The deviled eggs are to die for and have inspired me to try to replicate them for holiday dinner. My drinks were delicious! We ate at the bar and the bartender took great care of us. I would highly recommend Firebirds to anyone looking for a great time.
Stopped in for dinner. The service and atmosphere was great. There was no wait for my party of 2. I had the spinach lobster queso appetizer and the shrimp and grits. The food and prices were good!
We had a fantastic dinner at Firebirds! The food looked and tasted amazing. The appetizer nachos were loaded with fresh toppings and a perfect kick from the jalapeños. The shrimp starter was another highlight - crispy, saucy, and full of flavor. For the main course, the prime rib came out tender, juicy, and cooked just right, paired perfectly with the loaded baked potato and sauces. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and upscale without being stuffy.
This place will never get old to me!!! The service is always amazing, and they just never miss when it comes to food taste, vibes, and exceptional service. My most recent experience we were hosted by Chris, this guy gave us world class service with a smile. Extremely pleasant and attentive. The wings are too good to be on the “shareable” menu especially if it’s only 8 wings🫣….now 12 wings are shareable especially for almost 20$ 😅 but I digress and will pay the fee because the wings are that good but I cannot share them because there just simply aren’t enough to share 🤷🏾♀️ and washing it down the most delicious cocktail 🍸 🍍in the city has to be one of my most fondest moments 🤗 now the eggs…these are shareable! Very yummy 😋 but enough to share! And whoever came up with that happy hour 🍻 you’re the 🐐 and I hope life’s treating you kind🤞🏾
My sister and I went here for our birthday and we had a blast our waitress Laura was awesome and the food was to the table quick and it was delicious i can’t wait to go back also ask for the pineapple drink they soak it for 21 days and it was fire
Loved our first experience at Firebirds. The waitress was very pleasant, and this was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! The hot honey was delicious and not too hot. Everything was really fresh. So so good!
First time trying the food, and wow, what a great experience! The atmosphere was amazing, and so was the food. We did the three-course option, and it was incredible – great cocktails and desserts too. Katherine was our server, and she was so sweet and attentive!
I had the 16oz ribeye steak with loaded baked potato with fresh lemonade and it was fantastic. A little pricey but worth it. Service was great, very well taken care of by friendly staff. Atmosphere was also inviting. Will definitely eat here again.
15 September 2025: Today we went again for lunch. We love this place, their tasty food & bar service, so we were sitting at the bar. Took some pictures & video, and adding it below in this review. They have Happy Hour and we used that Happy Hour menu. Items we ordered are in pictures 👇 and attaching our today's bill/check also. What a wonderful experience as we enjoyed visiting this restaurant Yesterday on 22 FEB 2025. We went for lunch to this restaurant and sat at the bar. The person at the bar was very humble, down to earth and service was fantastic 😊 , food is very tasty 😋 Food service and delivery was good. The price is reasonable. They have Happy Hours. They have a huge bar and a variety of drinks. I am attaching their detailed menu's pics and videos so looking at it, people can get familiarize with what they offer, how much is the price. It's a huge place. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We stopped at Firebirds for a quick lunch. Very surprised how beautiful the restaurant was. Wonderful atmosphere. Calm and quiet. Our Server was pleasant and accommodating. While we waited for our meal, we had some fresh bread and butter. Our food came out quick. I ordered a Chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad. My Husband had a Burger and side Fries. They were both tasty, you could taste the grill fire. Plus the lemonade was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant. It’s in busy Town Center area, so it can get busy.
Me & My husband came here to celebrate our anniversary. Was our first time here.We both had the 3 for 40.00.I had mixed green salad with balsamic vinegar, chicken with potatoes and broccoli and creme Brule cheesecake. He had steak, soup etc.Food was amazing.Didnt really care about the bread though it was just ok.Our waiter was awesome his name was Travon. Will come back for a special occasion as it is expensive.
Enjoyment! The experience was just everything. Sean held the door open anticipatory of us walking towards the door - big ol' smile on his face. Genuine one to. We were greeted and sat down swiftly (Like Taylor Swift-ly). The place has a dim light situation setting the mood. Mood being "Calm delicious beauty". The dinner was kicked off with their "PHILLY CHEESECAKE EGG ROLLS". These crispy mega morsels of Northern American/Eastern Tradition mashups are to smack-a-loved-one for! They have a girth that feels hearty, with a meathy cheesy spiced Thai sauced mix that hits hard. Try it. I then chased it with Colorado Chicken Salad. The Bleu cheese and cranberries aligned this salad with a mix of savory and sweet setting me up for a gratifying fork full when the mixed greens were paired with the wood grilled chicken. The raspberry Chipotle vinaigrette crested the whole meal beautifully. The spiced pecans and apple pieces brought my salad to get this 5-star review home. I finished of my night with the 5 layer lemon cake with their blueberries and blueberry sauce. This lemon scented slice of sin (yes, "sin") was ooweee. Even Sean bet me he'd pay for the slice if I didn't love it. Not like - but love it. I lost that bet so hard. Moist and cloying until you leave your plate crumbles. The blueberries with the lemon layers are delicious together. Lara our server was super attentive. Our ice cubes never touched the bottom of our glasses. She took my onion allergy extremely serious. (Like she worked at a hospital). Sean even came back to our table to discuss the onion power that was part of the salad in which I ordered. I ate there with such peace and then turned into more enjoyment. What a moment. I will not forget this place. I will be returning
Firebirds! Thank you for such a pleasant dining experience. I recommend the early brunch. Upon walking in, I was graciously greeted by the front staff and my reservation was on time with zero wait. My waiter was Chris. He was very cool and welcoming. The manager even came by my table to check in and to see if we were pleased and asked if we needed anything. Atmosphere: Very nice with a touch of class Food: Delicious. The breakfast burger is my go to and I was not disappointed. I’d suggest the seasoned potatoes over the steak fries. The Honey Hot Chicken Biscuit is piled high and a bit messy but a good messy😋. The mimosas were made with love. I would suggest getting the carafe. That way you get four drinks and save three dollars by not buying them by the glass. The service matches the decor and lighting in this place; very mellow and comfortable. HAPPY HOUR! This place has a happy hour with a great menu. During happy hour, the noice is moderate but you can still have a conversation with your guests. I recommend this place. Been here several times and have not been disappointed yet.
This was our first time there and we loved it!!! The service was awesome and the food was amazing. We will be revisiting, now on my list of places to eat again.
Visited last Sunday for lunch/early dinner. We chose to sit at the bar and were serviced by Robbie & Nat. We really enjoyed our service from both bartenders. My sister chose bar bites w/ a side of charred carrots for her meal and I chose the Lobster Fondue Salmon w/ Mashed Potatoes and a side of broccoli. Everything was great.
Amazing food and We had an amazing dining experience, thanks to Trevon From the moment we sat down, they were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured our drinks were always full. Will definitely revisit
Great food, great portions! A colleague got the fish tacos and onion rings, and boy, was that a plate of food! Looked delicious. I ordered the Chilean sea bass with asparagus and grains (rice, quinoa), and it was delicious too. Spacious venue, with plenty of tables, good service. Server was attentive, but also allowed us to talk without unnecessary interruptions.
The burger was cooked perfectly. Nice medium rare that most places cannot get right. Good clean taste. Could actually taste each individual topping on it. Delicious! Crème Brûlée cheesecake didn’t have the crunchy sugar top like I was told it did, but it was still good. Not quite worth the price of it. Overall it was a great lunch. I’ll be going back to try more.
Food was absolutely delicious! Service was great! Atmosphere was warm and welcoming!
Had a very good dining experience. Seared tuna salad and their burgers were excellent. And several choices of draught beer to wash it all down. Will be back!
Great service, nice atmosphere very quiet, good drink, food delicious, I recommend
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Firebirds Wood Fired Grill – Jacksonville, FL From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely outstanding! Our server, Christopher L., truly went above and beyond — attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. You could tell he genuinely cared about making our dining experience special. I ordered the ribs, and let me tell you — they were cooked to perfection! The meat was so tender it literally fell off the bone, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. My husband had the grilled salmon, which was seared beautifully and grilled just right — juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the sides. My cousin ordered the Cajun ribeye, and it was seasoned to the tee — full of spice and bold flavor with every bite! Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was top-tier. Firebirds definitely exceeded our expectations, and we’ll absolutely be back again soon! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a classy yet comfortable dining experience in Jacksonville.
Just wanted to update my review. I was contacted by Craig, one of the managers from Firebirds asking me about my visit. They thanked me for being a regular and were disappointed that I didn't enjoy my visit as usual. I thought this was great service. We also chatted about how he was involved in helping coach the team in the Georgia location that I usually go. I was impressed by this call and the willingness to follow up with me. I have decided that I will re-visit this location during my next visit to Jacksonville. Thanks to Craig and the management team.
My wife and I went to celebrate Veterans Day with a good meal. This is one of our favorite restaurants and tonight we were treated to a Veterans BOGO deal which was an amazing offer. Our server Sebastian was awesome!!! He told us that they were super busy when we arrived so we knew it ahead of time. He brought us our drinks and some bread to get started. The food came out way quicker than expected for how busy they were. It was a great experience. Thank you Firebirds for honoring Veterans!
Top notch service and the food is outstanding! I had the Filet & Lobster tail with grilled veggies. Filet was cooked perfect and the lobster tail was a full half pound and delicious as well. My wife had the burger and said it was the best she'd ever had. I had 2 old fashioned while she had two martinis that she says we're awesome. Looking forward to going back to try some different items....
As someone who values both great food and an inviting atmosphere, I have to say Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Jacksonville absolutely delivered! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff was warm, attentive, and made me feel like my experience truly mattered. The food was outstanding, perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and served hot and fresh. The wood-fired flavor really sets their dishes apart. My steak was tender and juicy, and the sides were just as memorable (the loaded baked potato and fresh veggies were so good). The portions were generous, and everything tasted like it was made with care. The vibe inside was classy but still comfortable, the kind of place where you can come dressed up for a special occasion or enjoy a relaxed night out. I also appreciated how clean and well-kept everything was. Overall, Firebirds has definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to restaurants in Jacksonville. Great food, excellent service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dining experience that makes you feel seen, valued and satisfied.
Had a 7:30 reservation for 4 people. Night started off shaky, but we were eventually sat at a table and had Malachi as a server. He was just wonderful! He was attentive and proactive with filling drinks and checking on us throughout all the courses. He had a great personality and laughed with us. We were shocked when he said at the end it was his first night working there. He was like a seasoned pro! We told him how amazing he was and thanked him for his great service. The food was delicious, as always. Will definitely return and ask to be seated in his section if he is working.
This is one of my favorite Jacksonville Restaurants! My recommended items include; Lobster Queso, Deviled Eggs, Get a reservation or take a seat at the Bar, but we havent had a bad meal!!! Steak (any of them) with Cajun Butter!!!, get the glazed Carrots, and finally get the Warm Carrot Cake!! If you are hungry after ALL of that or having any of their large servings, it will be your own fault..... Husband loves their Pork Chop!! And YES. Get the Double Diamond Pineapple Cocktail!
I was celebratin something by myself. The steak was "just off the grill hot" ..hottest steak I've ever had when eating out, which Loved. Cooked perfectly too. The baked potato was kinda too cold...but I didn't want to complain so I ate it....the food was delicious. I left a big tip. :)
Great atmosphere. Staff was very attentive Angie especially. The food was great. Steaks cooked to perfect temp. You have to try the bacon deviled eggs. I must say I had the prettiest prime rib that looked so mouth watering. I could hardly eat it. Wife’s tenderloin salad looked pretty tasty too. After dinner the Manager stopped by to see how everything was. He let me know about the inner circle plus that they are about to roll out. Sounds like it is going to be a hit! Make sure to ask them about it. Thank you Firebirds for a great experience.
Had lunch with my sister here and our waiter, Jeremy was over the top with his kindness and attentive to our needs. The food was excellent. Looking forward to returning very soon and will ask for this young man!
This was our first time here, the atmosphere is very nice, our server Bri is very personable and professional. She recommends the strawberry cucumber infused margarita which was very refreshing. We'll come back just for the proper service! The Philly egg rolls were amazing, great recommendation. We were very impressed with our seafood plates as well! Will be back soon! Great job Firebirds!
First time eating here. We went for lunch and had the steak egg rolls, sirloin, fish taco and cheese cake. The service was great. Friendly staff and food was served quicker than expected. Lunch time was not crowded.
Disappointing Value Despite Good Service at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill – Jacksonville, FL We recently visited Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Jacksonville, Florida for a Friday night dinner, hoping for a high-quality steakhouse experience in a warm, inviting atmosphere. While there were a few positive elements to our visit, overall we left feeling underwhelmed and dissatisfied—particularly when factoring in the cost of the meal. Let’s start with the positives. The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained, and attractively designed. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance gave the impression of a higher-end dining experience. The lighting was soft and inviting, and the seating was comfortable without being too cramped. The layout offered a good balance between open space and a cozy intimate dining feel. Service was another high point. Our server was attentive, polite, and well-informed about the menu. Drinks were delivered promptly, and our server checked in regularly without being intrusive. Special requests were handled without any issue, and we never felt like we were being rushed, even on a busy Friday evening. The staff, from the host at the door to the busser clearing the table, all seemed to take pride in their roles. That level of service is increasingly rare, and it was certainly appreciated. Unfortunately, the food—particularly the steaks, which are the centerpiece of Firebirds’ menu—did not live up to expectations. We ordered two different steak entrees, both of which were cooked beyond the doneness we had requested. While the seasoning was decent and the char from the wood-fired grill added some nice flavor, the overcooking resulted in a noticeably dry and chewy texture. A good steakhouse should be able to consistently nail a medium-rare or medium steak, and in this case, both came out closer to well-done. Sides were fine, but nothing memorable. The loaded baked potato was lukewarm and the vegetables lacked seasoning. Given the price point—comparable to or even exceeding other established steakhouse chains—we expected a much better culinary experience. The quality just didn’t match the bill. When you’re spending upwards of $30–$40 per entrée (not including drinks or appetizers), the expectation is for a perfectly cooked steak, generous portions, and standout flavor. Instead, we got average fare at a premium price. There was no “wow” factor to the meal, and certainly not enough satisfaction to justify returning. In summary, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill offers a clean and comfortable dining environment with very solid service, but the food quality—especially for a place that brands itself around steaks and wood-fired cooking—just didn’t meet the standard. While we appreciated the professionalism of the staff and the overall ambiance, the overcooked steaks and lackluster value made this visit a one-time experience for us. There are simply too many other restaurants in Jacksonville offering better food at equal or better prices. We won’t be returning, and we wouldn’t recommend Firebirds to those seeking a truly satisfying steakhouse meal.
Good food. Fair price point. Need more selection of non alcoholic drinks. Ex. Berry lemonades and flavored teas. Grilled shrimp slightly undercooked for my preference. Cajun steak had great flavor. The breaded fried shrimp needs to have it's own entree instead of a steak addition. Overall 8. We were satisfied.
Our server was so sweet and kind! But my only complaint is my steak was cooked very rare and I also sent it back and it was recooked and still around the same temp. I ended up being it home and air frying it. Which is fine, was there for my birthday. But I understand how the restaurant industry is (I work with it) so not too much of a complaint. But the server was sweet, forgot his name. But he was really great and attentive.
Happy Birthday to my wife diner. Greeters at the door were amazingly friendly and we were seated pretty quickly. The waitress interactions with us were pleasant and cordial but that’s where the ratings started to slip. The single loaf of bread we received for our six guest went pretty quickly. As we looked at the table next to us receive two loafs for their six guest. The general impression by all the guest was that it was a three star experience.
Went there for lunch with my husband ordered a hamburger and had to send it back twice because of it not being well done. Instead of them redoing the burger they only cooked the cut area so guess what the area still had pink in it. Sorry to say the burger had no taste. The chicken tortilla soup was good apart of it only being lukewarm.
We were looking forward to our reservation but things didn’t go accordingly. My boyfriend and I arrived to the restaurant 5 minutes before our 9:30PM reservation. We checked in with the hostess, and were told that they were preparing our table and it would be “just a few minutes” before we were seated. She confirmed my phone number and told us we would get a text when the table was ready. There was no seating in the front so we decided to wait right outside the front door. 15 minutes passed by and we had not received a text, so we went to check on our table. A different hostess told my boyfriend that there were 3 other parties that would be sat before they got to us…we arrived earlier than our reservation, we had a reservation, and that still didn’t seem to matter. We finally received a text that our table was ready at 10:01PM, less than an hour before closing. We decided that we would just decline the table, because we didn’t want to feel rushed or deal with diminished quality of food and/or service due to the time of evening. We informed the hostess that we would not be dining and left. We were very frustrated to know that we had made a reservation but it was not honored. We arrived early, but we wonder if we should have arrived 30 minutes early or even an hour early to be sat somewhere near our reservation time..
The place is nice, cozy atmosphere. The waiters were very professional and personable. The food is overpriced, with no presentation and unremarkable. I ordered sirloin. It was like eating a shoe, and it cost me $29. I am not going back. My husband's dish was ok but again nothing remarkable and it was $24 for chicken breast. The food took over ONE HOUR to be served.
We stopped by this location last night & the service was poor to start of. What we usually order was taken off the menu so we decided to try something else. Our starters took a long time to come out & the pasta we ordered was over cooked. We mentioned it to our server and were not offered any resolution. Overall, the service & food has gone down hill or they just had a bad night. Wished for a better experience.
The worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. This is supposed to be a nice restaurant. It’s not a cheap dinner, so it was a very big surprise when we were eating to find a huge bug in our broccoli (which was an extra $8 side). When it was brought to the managers attention he came over to our table making a joke. Saying “looks like y’all got some extra protein in your dinner tonight”. The solution for us eating food with bugs in it was to take our appetizer off our bill. We even paid for the broccoli with the bug in it! I couldn’t finish my food. I was so sick to my stomach. Absolutely will never go back!! Highly recommend if you care about your health to think twice!
We came in for an early dinner date. We were seated immediately, and our server was very sweet. That's where the good stops. It seemed like there were more staff than patrons yet we waited at least 40 minutes for our food. He ordered a burger and fries and I ordered a salad with steak. When it came out, the burger was cold and my salad looked like the lettuce was old and the meat... Definitely didn't look like something they specialize in. Even the coffee was cold... When we decided not to eat the food that was served we were asked to wait a few more minutes. We were comped for the food we didn't eat and given gift cards that expire today. I was so excited to try it....Will not go back.
My steak was burnt on the outside which I am not a fan of. My loaded baked potato was pretty small. Jason's Deli has baked potatoes almost three times as large. Service was really slow. Waaaay overpriced for what you get. Phenomenally overpriced. I ordered a slice of cake that was advertised as a lemon cake. Only a smidgen of lemon flavor in the icing. The rest was just a plain white cake. I can't believe I paid 145 bucks for me and my wife for such a poor quality meal. Unbelievably overpriced.
My experience with this restaurant was horrible. If there was a rating of (0) that's what they would be. I went to a birthday dinner. Waiters got everyone's orders wrong. I never got my food at all. The waiters was very slow taking our orders, very slow bringing the orders back wrong and not bringing my order at all. Sat at the restaurant from 6:30 pm until 9:00pm only had bread and water. I'm will say that my great grandson ate his fruit.
I made a reservation in advance and still waited nearly an hour without ever being contacted to be seated. What made this even more disappointing is that no one followed up, checked in, or offered an explanation during the wait. I’m a frequent diner here and have always enjoyed the food, which is why this experience was so frustrating. Reservations should mean something, and the lack of communication and organization was unacceptable. I expect better from a restaurant I regularly support. Unfortunately, this visit was a major letdown.
Worst experience. Lobster spinach queso was like a soup ran off the chips all over the table and your clothes as you were trying to eat it, very watery. My son's broccoli and mashed potatoes that came with his ribs were cold. My salmon salad was great but the server snatched it away from me before I was finished. She also brought the check when I was in the middle of my meal. I did not understand why she was rushing me as the restaurant was not busy. The manager came over and said it was their policy to bring the check in the middle of the meal in case people were in a hurry. On a Sunday, WHY, so rude and unprofessional. We stopped going there 5 years ago as the quality of the food had deteriorated. Still the same no reason to go back. They have nothing to offer anymore, used to be a great place when they first opened. Too many other great places to go at the Town Center.
