We stumbled upon Union Station Diner on a Sunday morning and it turned out to be a little gem. The food was excellent, with an impressive menu offering what felt like 50 different omelet options — something for everyone. The pancakes were amazing, and the biscuits were some of the fluffiest I’ve ever had. I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of my food, but trust me, it was worth it. The atmosphere is fun and unique, especially if you’re into trains and train memorabilia — you’ll absolutely love the décor. Highly recommend this fun little restaurant for a great breakfast and a nostalgic vibe.
A great small town diner we love to take my Father for breakfast and lunch. He really enjoys the waffles and eggs, I like the patty melt or omelette. Great service, small town atmosphere, great prices. They can fill up quick, so plan ahead!
Lots to look at while you order and eat. It was a bit of a wait for the meal. It was breakfast for me. It is worth it. The refills just keep coming on for the coffee and tea. Had scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, hash browns and I missed something. But its all fantastic for the tummy. There's substitutions on the menu. Kids meals. Prices are fair. Huge portions. Definitely a possibly shared meal depending on how much you want to eat. They offer to go cups for the drinks. So thoughtful! Go check it out. Some vegan options seemed to be there. Check out the menu to make sure you get what you are looking for.
Our favorite Sunday brunch stop. Classic american style diner that makes you feel like part of a family. The owner John and all of his staff love this place and show it every day with cozy hospitality, great fresh food, and quick service. They also have some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. Thank you!
Food was great, service was great & VERY reasonably priced. Super cute train-related decor. Has Al fresco dining, the indoor space is VERY small & close quarters. I was asked to move to a different table to accommodate a larger party. I didn’t mind at all but it was a bit inconvenient. They seem to have a sign-in sheet but unsure why, long lines perhaps? Parking lot is small & has limited number of parking spaces. They serve Breakfast and Lunch but close at 3:00 so be sure to get there early to allow for crowds as it always seems busy. The restroom was stocked but very small & the door opens outward & blocks the entrance into the restroom area so just be aware of that, someone may be opening the door as you walk through. Definitely will visit again, don’t pass up this little gem!
Really enjoyed it was worth the wait. We waited maybe 20 minutes. But staff is so friendly and the food was good. Im not a pancake person unless I eat them at home but I enjoyed these pancakes. Maggie was our sweet waitress. Will be back
Very small place, maybe 20 tables or so but table turnover is pretty fast. Food was hot, fresh, and very tasty and affordable for large portions. Nice decor with RailRoad/military theme. Our server came of at first interaction as a bit unwelcoming/cold but we later realized that she's just a very serious and straight to the point kinda person. She kept our table clean, drinks refilled, and on top of all details. Hard worker for sure. Definately a place to go back to.
If you’re looking for a fantastic breakfast spot in New Braunfels you’ve got to visit the Union Station Diner! Their menu features a wide variety of omelette options that cater to every taste. Whether you prefer classic flavors or something more adventurous, you’ll find the perfect omelette to start your day. Their cinnamon rolls are hands down the best I’ve ever had! Soft, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, it’s the perfect sweet treat to accompany your meal. The service is always friendly, and the atmosphere to meet with your friends and family for a delicious breakfast experience!
Breakfast and lunch only, this diner has incredible omelets. I chose the "Elvis Presley Special" #55, Grape jelly, peanut butter and banana (no bacon). As an Elvis fan, had to try it - excellent!! We also had the cinnamon rolls, they were perfect. The decor revolves around trains, with many models on the walls, and a running train track in the dining area. They also have a great GI-Joe display. Worth it for a visit!
Really good food. Quick service. Wife enjoyed blueberry pancakes with bacon. My corn beef hash and eggs was great. Service outstanding. Our server Miranda stopped by too many times for me to count to ensure everything was good. Going to return and try one of their many omelets. We now have another nice little place to have breakfast.
Heavens to Betsy , this was a treat. We had to go to New Braunfels and asked google for breakfast spot. Outstanding food in such a small space. Absolutely worth waiting for a seat. I had the #48 omelette (look it up) wife had the biscuits sausage and gravy. Best she's had in a while. We highly recommend because service and food were great today.
I'm glad we found this restaurant located in New Braunfels. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the homemade buttermilk biscuits. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage patties were nice and thick, and the home fries were freshly cut. The prices were a little high, but the service was good and quality food was served.
Great cafe. You walk into a waiting/sitting area where there is a notepad to put yourself on the waiting list, if there is one. Staff comes out frequently to update everyone on the wait and who is next. Very friendly, courteous, and welcoming staff. Cafe was clean, cozy, and well maintained. The food was delicious. Quick turn around from ordering to receiving food. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and delicious. We had a table of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meal with no complaints. And was very affordable. My wife has stated this is her new favorite place to go get breakfast/brunch. I can highly recommend this diner for your breakfast and lunch needs.

Place is small and there is a wait. But their omelets are out of this world. Kids l9ved their fluffy pancakes and their hot chocolate is a must. The waiter Dwayne was very attentive and Steven was such an entertainer in showing us the model train running around above us. Overall the food is delicious and service is awesome. They do close at 2:30 so best time to come would be at 1pm.
Another must stop on the locals trail. Will go back. Classic diner made out of an old house. The house has been around since the 30's...1930's that is but it was a local grocery until 2015 or 2020 (website says 2020 but the mugs say 2015). Short wait unlike some of the more popular and larger breakfast joints in town. Cozy, friendly, and tasty. Awesome if you are a train enthusiast. Service was excellent. Breakfast was really good. Had the Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, Eggs Bacon Grits & Tortillas, French Toast with Bacon, and Eggs Bacon Hash browns and a Pancake. The grits were plain but nothing some butter and salt can't cure. Juice all around plus coffee. Everyone's plate was clean by the end of the meal... always a great sign.
The food was good, both my husband and I got ol reliable options. The biscuits were honestly my favorite part of the meal. The coffee really wasn't to my taste, it was really strong despite creamer…

Great diner food and service. ambiance is what you'd expect. We would do it again when in the area.
Cute railroad themed small cafe which was very busy. Staff were friendly but very busy. Menu standard for breakfast, but tasty. coffee was very good and it was a great spot for conversation.
This is a pretty affordable breakfast spot, and our waiter was kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I also noticed that they seem to have a lot of regulars, which is always a good sign for a local breakfast place. It was myself, my husband, and his parents dining together, and we all ordered the Country Fried Steak. In my personal opinion, it was comparable to something you might get at a chain like Denny’s or IHOP. When it comes to country fried steak, I personally prefer cubed steak that has a bit more texture and isn’t overly tender or didn't have burger patty texture — this one reminded me more of a patty. The gravy lacked a bit of flavor for my taste, and we ended up seasoning it ourselves. It didn’t come across as homemade. I also wish the hash browns had been crispier on top. That said, the restaurant itself is very cute, and I loved the antique décor. It has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience.
