Had a great time here yesterday during music bingo night (’80s rock-themed) and got absolutely demolished by someone’s grandpa.

My daughter was supposed to get married outside in a gazebo and meet with friends after at The Watering Hole. As her day arrived it was pouring down rain. When she went to The Watering Hole to decorate the area she was going to be in she was speaking with the manager. They very graciously offered for her to have the wedding there and saved the day! Thanks again!

Great place to relax and enjoy your night with friends. Plenty of room for large groups. Lots of tables, large dance floor, laid back atmosphere. Live bands, clean bathrooms, friendly staff.

I was only here to shoot some pool with friends. To my surprise there was a live band. It was a cover band but they put on a really good show. The staff was very kind and polite. The drink prices were very reasonable. This venue can hold a big crowd and still not be too packed. There is even food available.They do not require masks. Cant wait to return to have some more good times.

My favorite place in New Braunfels for some dancing and great live bands. The bartenders are great and work hard to keep everyone happy. There is a food truck available most days if I'm not mistaken.

Great live music, great bartenders, very fun place to pop in any night of the week. There appears to be a regular country western dancing crowd as well, will definitely come back when I've learned how to do that! Taco truck in the parking lot serves great food late night also.

Love this place. They have karaoke nights..which beings out a lot of great singers. The bartenders are what makes the whole experience that whole much better. So, don't forget to treat them well. But they are great place to come to unwind and let lose or whatever else just as long as it is legal and wont get kicked out of the bar. Lol.

Its my favorite place to hang out. My husband and I used to go regularly to dance to live music. It is an enjoyable experience everytime though because of the variety of people that show up for a good time. And if if the music is loud there is always a place you can hear a conversation of your just trying to hang out.

Great bar, live music for country dancing, shuffle board, billards and an outdoor patio with a BBQ truck! Pet friendly on the patio and a great group of people coming in through the doors. 10/10 reccomend

Most eclectic sports bar in town. If you get bored looking at the surroundings in this place, you have absolutely zero personality. Dejan Que food truck outside has the best brisket in town.

Who goes to a "saloon" who doesn't like country music and then hates on the place on a review?! lol - this place is cozy! not-to-small, friendly people, cold beer, loud music. if you don't like "country" go somewhere else. this place is exactly as advertised and fun to hang out at.

Hubby and I love going here! Its a mixed crowd, and all of the staff are always so friendly! We were there to see LC Rocks, and it was awesome! We usually go on Saturday nights, just as a cheap escape from the hum-drum life of work and teenagers :)

This place is very inviting. Met some great people, bartenders included. The drinks were good and Trey Gonzalez Band had the crowd on their feet. Overall I had a great time. No complaints.

This is a very quaint and fun place to spend an evening. Saturdays is live bands and there is a big enough dance floor so you don't feel crowded. I love that there is seating around the dance floor, b/c I (myself) am a big "people watcher". I especially love to watch the "older" couples holding hands and dancing. The bartenders are very nice and you don't have to wait long to the acknowledged and served; Prices aren't bad, either. It's a great place to get away from the big "hussle and bussle" of the larger clubs and still have a great time dancing, playing pool/darts, or sitting at one of the gaming machines. Oh...and let's not forget... IT'S A NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

I have only been here once, but it was a very great experience. I love the cozy feel inside. The atmosphere is perfect for winding down after a long day/week. I think I will be back here soon!

The place has a lot of character and is great for live music. It has a nice sized dance floor, pool table and dart boards. Two bars to handle the crowds.

Great atmosphere and Thursday night is often free dance lessons including line dancing. Great place to meet folks who like dancing and having fun.

My wife and I enjoy country western dancing on Sunday afternoons (we are not night owls). We checked this place out on their website and decided to try it recently. The folks are very friendly and the dance floor is large. There was plenty of seating. We were overall impressed and plan to return. The crowd is older folks which also fits in with our age group. A++

My husband & I wanted to have a date night, and after dinner we decided to try out this joint. We are from a small town, and just like to kick back. This place was right up our alley being the country folk we are. Everyone seemed friendly, and the servers never let my beer supply run low. The band they had was awesome ! The dancing scene great. We will be back again .

They changed happy hour from 7pm until 5pm. The working people don’t have a chance at happy hour. That was why I loved them.

We really enjoyed it. It was a good space with people in our age group so we didn’t feel out of place. Drinks were well served and reasonably priced. Would return. Cover charge is cash only.

The ladies at the front door were very friendly. The bartenders as well were super friendly. Restroom was in pretty good shape for a super busy night! Prices were pretty good but we just drank beer, even though they had some good specials. Smoking is allowed outside on the patio with your drink. We love going here!

A place to go country western dancing were you find different age group's have a great time. The people working there are kind, friendly, courteous, considerate, helpful, understanding and the owner keeps the place looking nice. Love the atmosphere since there is no smoking and the place always is neat and clean. Please check it our yourself.

We had a lot of fun. Be sure to eat before you go cuz sometimes the food truck will close The band was great. It is an older crowd on Thursday but man can they dance.

Great live music by some of our favorite country bands on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. Great specials on beer, drinks, and food. I stopped to have a beer here. Great place. Shuffle Board. Pool tabkes and a big stage. It's an example of a great Texas bar. The bartender was very friendly. The patrons were great to talk to. I had a few Lone Stars. I will be back. It was a great place with a wonderful atmosphere.

I like country music, drinks, live music, and food trucks. No food is offered by the bar, but the food truck is out back on the patio. The food is California style and delicious. Menu items range $6-16 and are shareable. Friendly staff for the newcomers and plenty of regulars. It is definitely a must come back to visit place.

I wish I could remember the bartender’s name but she was the sweetest to me. My first time there, just needed a spot to hang solo for a bit and she made me feel welcomed and even the regulars included me when they bought a round. They had good live music too!! Great place!

Our Bartender Michelle 🤩 was AMAZING!!! She was extremely kind and down to earth. My first time here and loved the dark “old bar scene” atmosphere with slots, pool tables, shuffle board and a live music stage! Will definitely be back!!! My new favorite bar in New Braunfels ❤️

Can't believe I've been living in town for two years and didn't know about this joint. An absolute must stop for awesome live music. You should make sure you try this place out when you're ready to dance all night. I highly recommend this dancehall when you are in town.

Great place to play a little pool, darts or shuffle board. You can boot-scoot on the dance floor later in the evening. 35-60+ crowed. Check your Ego at the door. Highly recommend.

An absolute must stop on your pub crawl, live music venue, or two-steppin' shuffle Locals unite! Live music on weekends. Lots of mature cowboy couples but plenty of younger folks too. Not a college student in sight...at least pre-semester. Much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Great stuff hanging from the ceiling and the walls. Big dancefloor and two bars.

I was going to Conway's when it first opened. They decided to change and not play a lot of old and new country. Stopped by watering hole one night and they had a great dancing band. I'll be coming here for now on.

Place was nice, live music was good. Needs more pool tables, thats the only complaint.

Great dance floor one of the best around. Music is allso great. The only down side is the smoke smell if this place ever goes none smoking it will be the most popular place in New Braunfels.

It's a nice friendly bar. Decent dance floor for concrete. Were there when just 1/2 patrons. Imagine dance floor can get pretty full.

Visited this place on a Saturday night, and it was crowded. The band sounded good and would have loved to stay longer, but there was just no place to sit. Suggest that you get there early and secure yourself a seat.

A nice place to hear good, and sometimes original country music. But if you can't two-step, watch out. The crowd has no dance etiquette and will run over you. Large crowds, small floor. But the entertainment and facility is first class. Large bar, but didn't use it.

Larger inside than it appears. Nice dance floor and stage.

Its a pretty decent place. Definitely a favorite for the older generation that lives to dance.

It was an alternative to where we had planned to go;but it actually turned out to be quite nice! It is aptly named...as the neighborhood bar atmosphere is alive & well. There was live entertainment -$5 covchrg(Sat.8:30) & the band was really good. Played a mix of musics & took some requests. There's a nice dance floor too. Didn't eat, but enjoyed my ApplTini made by my very nice bartendress. Only had the 1 drink as I'd already had wine w/dinner earlier. They hv multiple bars, & sections, so wherever you sit, you'll get served quickly. Friendly, we were invited to join a group at a table! I enjoyed the company & my time there too!!

Expensive and I hate country music. That's all that's allowed to be played. Not fun no more. But I won $2600.00 golf clubs from there. Titleist. Awesome stuff! Better pool sticks. Tables are ok. For pool players. Cue ball sucks on all the tables. It's a dead rock. Lol ok that's my day. Love my NB

It's usually really good, but the last time I was in there, one of the bar tenders would take his time waiting on people. After 10mins or more I went to the other bartender and she never got my drink either. Another person waiting in line said, " you've been waiting in line a while, let me get you a drink." Then we both proceeded to wait a lot longer.

The music and people were great! The dance floor is too small for how many people were there. Hubby and I left after an hour because it was too crowded - had my foot stepped on twice trying to dance :(

Liked this place alot. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because this place was packed, and me and my group of friends were the ONLY ONES wearing mask. There we no masks in site. The front door says masks required before entry. But when you walk in... Hahaha yea right!

Got there 1 1/2 hour early to get a good seat to watch a friend play. Waste of time because people stood in front of us all night. The sound guy has a booth but insists on standing in front of us as well. So, tall and fat people block the view. It took 15 min to get the bartender to come over to me to close out while serving 5 people who got to the bar after me. I almost just left. It would be hard to get me to go back.

Biggest dance floor in New Braunfels, in my opinion. Decent live bands rotate thru here. Bar staff is always friendly. No food here, except some snacks out of a vending machine, except on Fri and Sat nights when they do offer a few quick items. Prices are reasonable.

Music was really loud. Not a huge fan. But there were locals not bad for NB. Definitely an older crowd.

Good music, my wife and I go to dance every now and then, but today we had a bad experience; we got in the dance floor and when we came back to our seats that was another couple sitting in our spots and our beers almost full where not there, they said there was no beers there but they didn' t even bother to give us our seats. Another thing, there is a sign that says "No drinks on dance floor" , ok, I will say at least 15 drunk girls showed up, I guess comming from the wurstfest, they were spilling there drinks on the dance floor and bumping on other elderly couples that were dancing. And seemed like staff didn't care at all. Us , we just took off.

My Girlfriend and I visited here on a Saturday night out, the music was good but not to my taste. 80's rock cover songs and hard rock do not fit the music I expected to hear at what is claimed to be a Texas Dancehall. That is just my taste and I know my musical taste is pretty limited. The crowd seemed to be mostly local and not very friendly. The staff was friendly but they seemed to be short handed and a little on the slow side. We will try it again and give it another shot but it will have to be a night when we don't have anything else going on.

Craphole at its best. Bartenders were non existent at best. Watered down drinks, and double charged for several items on tab. Worst of all was constant snikering among "regular patrons" mocking my fiance and me for being new commers and not knowing this bars customs. Would not recommend this chithole to anyone unless you're a deranged old drunk or an ignorant youngon who lokes wastimg money.

I would give this "0" stars if it would allow me too! Horrible music and no fun for a holiday weekend. Entrance was cash only! Who carries xash anyway?!? The owner Holly was unprofessional and not welcoming. Don't waste your time. Go to the Hideaway fun atmosphere!

I feel bad for the people who live close to this establishment. The noise at night from the music and people outside probably makes it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The residences were there first and have to deal with a bad neighbor. I'm sure the bait shop that the original owner tended (not just a bar with bands) was much quieter. The original owner had a few tables to allow locals to play dominos and have actual conversations. I know because I lived nearby. I also knew the owner (she lived up on Perryman) and she was much more considerate of the noise levels for the surrounding families. Say what you like, some of us lived through the changes.

I rarely give bad reviews but the experience on New Years was the worst. No place to sit, ticket/entry lady was very rude, pool table people were very rude.

Service was mid the Customers were super racist saying things like “we don’t see your kind come in here” or “we don’t see Mexicans like you come in here” felt out of place and would say things “you don’t see everyone leave cause your kind is here” felt super disrespectful and they will be hearing about this
