Food was great, the Giant Beef Ribs were fantastic. The steak was good all the way through. We fi wished with a cheese cake that was a vanilla gold mine! We will be back.

Got there around 12:30 and it had a lot of cars in the lot already. We got in, and they seated us fast. The server (Alex) was fast and courteous. They food was great, and had a great salad bar. I ordered the 1/2 lb beef brisket with two sides and a salad. The food came fast and fresh cooked. Will go back there again. It is one of our new favorite places to go. They also serve hamburgers, sandwiches, country fried steak, and other foods. Great place, they have a big enough selection to please the whole family.

First, you should follow my reviews... We are reviewing some BBQ in Texas, for those that follow me, you know I love BBQ, I've been wanting to get down and try some Texan BBQ... Things move a little slower down here with seating, BUT waitress is quick, courteous and helpful.. Promptly refills drinks.. Nice layout, kind of sports bar meets dinner meets smokehouse... APPETIZER Breaded Mozzarella sticks: Exactly what you expect, properly done, I'm assuming store bought/frozen..3/5 Breaded zucchini: Delicious, perfectly done. A touch of salt tops it off... 4.5/5 ENTREES Sliced brisket: good flavor and cooked properly3.5/5 Baby back ribs: good flavor and cooked properly 3/5 Chicken fried steak with brown gravy: this was the star of dinner.. absolutely delicious, the breading was perfect, not overly done, meat had good flavor, cut it with for fork, one of the best CFS I've ever tried.. If the brown gravy was a bit thicker this would have been perfection... 4.5/5 Philly cheese steak: daughter said it was good.. SIDES cornbread: nicely made..3.5/5 Curly fries: what you expect..3/5 Onion rings: I really enjoyed these, 4.5/5 Overall this is a nice place, if you like Chicken Fried Steak, you should try this place..

Many good things on the menu, but some just miss the mark. Chicken Tenders are excellent. Pork chops are too. Fish is very good. Nice salad bar. Great portions for the money. I just can't understand why they serve frozen prepared shrimp? Pre-made hamburger patties? Things like that keep this place from being great.

This place is definitely a yes for me!!! The cat fish was delicious and the portions were generous and the drinks are amazing, the macaroni & cheese and green beans however had absolutely no seasoning so I'll try something else next time. The bartender was attentive and welcoming it felt like the bar from cheers. Overall this place is definitely worth visiting the salad bar is well stocked and everything looked and tasted fresh. If you're in the New Caney area you'll definitely want to stop by and visit this one.

Normally, I only have raving reviews about Splendora Cafe, but my husband treated me to dinner here last night, 10/22/25 after I was released from the hospital on our way home. I hadn't really eaten in 2 days and I was ready for some good food. I ordered their Chicken Fried Steak, Salad and Baked potato. The Ranch dressing was really thin and watery and didn't have a ton of flavor. The breading on the CF Steak was soggy and lacked any flavor. The Baked Potato was good but they were skimpy on the cheese and sour cream. We also got the fried mushrooms and things pieces were huge slices off of some big mushrooms. We both personally prefer the smaller whole mushrooms we've gotten previously at Splendora Cafe. My husband had their Shrimp, Green Beans, Salad and fries. He didn't say much but seemed like he really enjoyed his. Our Waiter was good as well as the service. We love Splendora Cafe and will go back despite the CF Steak not being very good this time. I also noticed time price seems to be increasing. I believe $20.75 for CF Steak to be expensive plus the extra charge for having a baked potato. Hubby's shrimp was even more.

Our server was very loud and aggressive ( I get its loud but jeez she shouted our order at us twice) Food was pretty good but when some one asks for jalepenos for there potatoe 3 is pieces is not enough. Today was my sons birthday and the lady made a comment that it was not his birthday. Son was born 9/28/2011 just fyi. Put the bill on the table and came buy twice as if we werent going to pay. I really hope you train your waiters that that is not acceptable. FRIED PICKLES ARE THE BEST I HAVE HAD EVER HAD MUST GET!!!

So I have been here several times and the food is either great or horrible for the same items ordered. The 1st 2 times I ordered the cheeseburger it was great the last 2 I had a hard time even eating it. The fried green tomatoes are always 100 great and the brisket could have had more flavor and be less dry the sausage I wouldn't ever dare try again. I do love the customer service and the atmosphere. This is the closest main restaurant to my house so I guess ill keep trying new things

We had an absolutely amazing waitress. Thank God, because the food was horrible. That does not even begin to describe it! All of the meat, but especially the brisket was drier than the Sahara Desert. The barbecue sauce should not even be called that. It was more like a runny caramel colored extra sweet syrup with a hint of cinnamon and an after taste that stays with you. All of the sides were directly from your most generic box mix from the grocery store shelf and none of it was edible. We did pay our entire $65 bill and tip our waitress well because this was not her fault. She told the manager about our issue, and they never even bother to speak to us. Most expensive meal my dogs ever choked down. We did give them extra water with it though.

Service great but the food lacklustre especially for the price. The burger tasted like a frozen patty you can get at the grocery store. No flavour no taste. The BBQ was way too smokey with no flavour other than tasting like an astray. All in all: servers great but food not so good.

This place isn't friendly to people of color and the food reflects that as well. No ancestrial seasoning in nothing we ordered. From the moment we walked in my wife and 2 kids got nasty and awkward stares from the customers dining and even from the odd guy just standing outside looking like the food owed him money. Anyways, we got our food to go (which was ready at a prompt time) and came home and had to open our pantry to season...everything. the potato salads texture and flavor tasted like someone chewed up the original potato salad and spit it out back into the container. The dirty rice, tasted just like that..dirt. The Mac and cheese tasted and looked like something my 10 year old son would make from a box. Even the French fries tasted like they were unhappy to be coming out the grease there. With no seasoning at all as well. The meat was surprisingly good, flavorless but cooked decently enough to swallow without over chewing. Spent well over $100 to eat dinner tonight and have leftovers for tomorrow, just to piss the family off again.

This place is by far the worst bbq I've had in awhile . The meat both pulled pork & chopped brisket were unflattering, no flavor at all ! The pulled pork wasn't even what is consider pulled. The cobbler was trash. Gooey & smelt horrible. The bbq sauce was gross . Very pepper like & had an awful aftertaste. For 16 $ baked potatoes I'd go elsewhere. We won't be back here.
