Wonderful everything! The dumplings -we ordered 4 kinds- were each unique and delicious. Lots of variety for entrees, loved them all. Highly recommend dessert also, we had the homemade ice cream, saffron&rosewater, and the pistachio baklava. A+++

Authentic Afghani food served in a quiet atmosphere at a great convenient location. Food is delicious and served with care. Lamb Shank is tasty & Steak is great. Dessert variety is good. Ice cream and Baklawa has great flavor & taste.

Now I'm not am Afghan food expert but if you're looking for a flavor blast in your taste buds - this is a great spot for it! The sambosa was crispy and filled with an excellently seasoned ground beef and veggies. The green sauce also added tons of flavor (I believe this sauce is cilantro-based). The tikka lamb kebab was fantastic. The meat was juicy, grilled, and seasoned. The rice was also very soft and tasty. I will definitely be returning to try other menu items!

I visited this place! Price was excellent! Taste different than everything I have tried! Love the place! We came with 5 kids from ages of 1-6 and the staff was very helpful and nice with them.

Delicious Afghan food in New Hyde Park! They have a great combo meals to share. We got the Dinner for Four and tried 4 Kabobs and 2 stews. It was a good way to get a variety of different meats and dishes. The taste was good and the amount was huge. They gave us way too much rice that we had a whole to go container with rice. We tried their ice cream which was pretty unique as well. We all left there very full. The space was nice and kept clean. The price was a bit high, the service was alright, and the parking is side street parking.

Let’s start with appetizers and then move onto to main course to a perfect plate. Tonight’s dinner at Afghan Grill @ Hillside was amazing. The #Manto and Chicken #Kebab was cooked to perfection😘🙌🏽. Tender, juicy. The yogurt sauce was too good. I asked for recipe 🤣but the waitress wasn’t willing to share. A family friendly place for satisfying meal. Will be back. The bill came around $90.00 w/o tip for 4 people. Used my Venture X card, forgot to take the Wells Fargo dinning card for 3% cash back.

I ordered 2 chicken kebabs, one with qabili and another with zereshk. The rice was pretty good and they gave more than enough sauce but the chicken was a little less than I expected. It came with nice fresh salad. My critique is the bread was just a flat pita bread and not the traditional afghan bread I am accustomed to. The staff was very friendly and the firni (rice pudding) was good.

I ordered lamp shank but they gave bone(with little meat left!) asking anything they argue! They serve food after about 45mins later! They are cheat, unprofessional and food have no test! Worst place in NYC!

The Afghan Grill restaurant, located at 1629 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11040, appears to be engaging in misleading pricing practices. According to the menu on their official website, the family combo is listed at approximately $109; however, when I placed my order, I was charged $150 for each. This discrepancy reflects a lack of transparency and honesty in their pricing policy. Therefore, I strongly advise others to avoid purchasing from this restaurant until they correct their misleading practices.

I went to this restaurant with my family to have lunch after doctor appointment, when we trying to order food chicken sultan which is 23 or 26$ . It was fine . Thy serve us pita bread and when I remove the cloth to eat . It’s was so disgusting cloth I think they didn’t clean a week . So I change my mind , we was living I didn’t say why , I told them I have some emergency, and server response oh food is expensive, Really guys serve was unprofessional. They have no right to say This , I spend on food maximum 100 to 300 . I came out I call them I told them why I left , he was misbehave , he didn’t say sorry or I’ll change, he cut the phone . Bad restaurant , bad server , bad service, bad response, ill will nerve come back . And I don’t trust there cooks now ,
