My mother and I flew into MCO pretty late and did not get into NSB until 8:20pm. We were struggling to find restaurants in the area that did not close their kitchen 40 minutes earlier than the posted close time. We came across Limoncello South and were absolutely blown away! The restaurant manager Angelique was very kind to us, seating us at a table immediately. Additionally, Nate our lovely server added so much kindness to our dining experience, they told us all about the entree specials and all of the special nights they do other select days of the week! Such as ladies night and martini Monday’s! I want to personally thank Nate our server, Angelique and the kitchen staff for making an unforgettable delicious evening.
Let's talk about the food - oh my goodness, it was nothing short of heavenly! The flavors were authentic and absolutely delicious. Every bite felt like a culinary journey through Italy. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back and indulge in more of their culinary delights. Trust me, you won't be disappointed when you step foot into this Italian gem!
We've been here several times. On this occasion, we celebrated a family member's birthday and had a wonderful time. All our meals were delicious. Our table ordered the Filet, Lamb, Lasagna, and Veal. All dishes were very tasty and professionally displayed. Lamb could have been a little more tender. A little pricey but you get what you pay for and this is definitely NOT a chain so keep that in mind when making reservations. Love the atmosphere... has music and the solo singer is awesome. Note: Some reviews were negative and complained about price or the extra 3% credit card charge, but this is the trend at many restaurants and should not be a reason to give a restaurant's food or atmosphere a bad review.
Over the TOP. Just had a beautifully and perfectly prepared sangria, tried and loved the meatballs appetizer and tried an out of this world halibut in limoncello sauce and risotto which was on special. Ended the blessing with a limoncello cake. This restaurant is a Michelin contender. Our server was outstanding and the ambiance was beautifully decorated with the staff running as sharp as a clock.
Absolutely incredible food, atmosphere, and service. Food was so good we cleared our plates, delicious and authentic. Live music the whole night had the entire restaurant singing and having a great time. Our server (did not catch his name, but he was from Florence and had a NYPD pin on his shirt) was top notch, friendly, and provided spectacular service. We were truly blown away by our dinner experience. Limoncello was my mom's favorite restaurant, she passed last year, and I was determined to come eat at one of their restaurants, and it was an honor to dine here! We will be back very soon. Thank you.
Limoncello is a delightful authentic Italian restaurant with all the charm one might expect. Clearly a locals favorite spot and in one trip it has quickly landed as one of mine. Great menu, with many options and from what I was told the specials vary from week to week. Based on proximity I'm sure the burning question is how does it compare to The Garlic just down the road. It's hard to match The Garlic in its unique and quirky decor, Limoncello can only do so much being is a strip mall. But a restaurant is only as good as its food and Limoncello doesn't take a back seat to anyone in that department. The ability to make a reservation at Limoncello is a bonus compared to The Garlic. If you like Italian food go to both and you decide either way your going to end up having to great meals.
Great atmosphere, love music, and the personal singer at your table is phenomenal!!! The food was absolutely delicious and you are well taken care of by the staff. Can't wait to return!!!
Ate here for the first time and was continuously impressed. Service, excellent. Martinis, spectacular. Food, SCRUMPTIOUS. I can't emphasize enough how delicious my dish of PEAR GORGONZOLA RAVIOLI was. Such a unique combination of flavors that worked extremely well. I will say I added arugula to it that was leftover from the baseball buratta appetizer and that added an essential savory aspect to it. A member of my party ordered the lobster ravioli but it was a bit too fishy for her liking. Would return here again to dine and try more martinis!
Absolutely amazing. We ordered the carbonara. They made it in the big cheese wheel, it was The best we’ve ever had. We also ordered the calamari which was spectacular as well as the Barada. I had the lobster ravioli that was rich and full of lobster. Loved it. Now let’s talk about the server and management. Very very kind and accommodating. You can tell they really do care about there customers. This place is a must try and we will be returning very soon.
I went in to grab a drink at the bar. Emily made one of the best martinis I have ever had (the Garden Martini). I met some great locals and highly recommend you go say hi to Emily at the bar. The other interactions I had with the rest of the staff was phenomenal as well. I’ll be back and I recommend you check it out.
We enjoyed every moment during our dinner at Limoncello. Our waiter Nathan fully explained the many specials of the evening. To top it off they had a musician play music for us. It was wonderful.
Our first visit to Limoncello's was for my mom's 92nd birthday. The staff made her feel very special. The entertainment for the evening featured a father & son team. The 12 yo. son, a Sinatra impersonator, sang Happy Birthday to her as well as doing a great job handling Sinatra tunes. The father also sang to my mom, a Spanish song called Bésame Mucho with her singing along. A very special night for her. As for the food, we all loved the bread and olive oil dip as well as the Baseball Burrata. My wife absolutely loved her Pear & Gorgonzola Ravioli in Bolognese sauce. My Saltimbocca was on point and mom loved her shrimp/garlic and white wine & pasta dish. The birthday dessert was a couple of very good cannoli's with a candle. The Smoking Old Fashion, smoked with cherry wood, was awesome! I highly recommend
The service was excellent, the ribeye cowboy steak was tender I don’t think there was any extra fatty, chewy or rough parts about the steak, it wasn’t over marinated or under, cooked to my specifications and was priced pretty decent. It was accompanied by probably some of the best asparagus I’ve ever had and a side of quarter cut roasted potatoes. Excellence with a small city vibe. We’ll be back. Thanks!
A hidden gem in New Smyrna Beach! Fabulous martinis. Highly recommend the beet mascarpone salad. The food and service was fantastic. Make sure you save room for the tiramisu.
Dined in at Limoncello on a Sunday at around 7:30 pm. Despite being short staffed we were seated and served right away. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very kind. Bathrooms were clean and the entire restaurant was as well. I ordered the stuffed ravioli which was stuffed with cheese and lobster served with cherry tomatoes and shrimp covered in sauce,I rate the meal a solid 10/10. Make sure to stop here if you're looking for authentic, fresh and delicious Italian cuisine.
Always an amazing time at limoncellos great food wonderful staff and great live music. We are always treated like family the staff always goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great dinner.
This is our new date night spot! We ate here with my parents and loved every dish. My parents have been to Italy and liked this just as much! The pasta is homemade, the salads and meats are devine and the dessert.... Let's just say, you want to save room for the Tiramisu. We had the Mediterranean sea bass (branzino francese), the veal piccata, cavetelli al cognac, and the grouper fettuccini special of the night. Our family shared all four dishes, and practically cleaned the plates. We can't wait to go back. We were so excited to have found such an authentic Italian experience in NSB! PS: Beet cobbler was super good, and you want to order the limoncello martini to end your meal. Enjoy!
Phenomenal atmosphere... The food was mouth watering delicious 😋 and the cheesecake was yummy... And I have to say the owner and his friendly staff made it a memorable experience.. I highly recommend Limoncello's... Lol I ate the cheesecake so fast I didn't have time to take a picture 🤭
Fabulous menu offers outstanding food. Servers handled our large group with excellent service. A+++
Limoncello’s South is an awesome restaurant! Food is amazing and I so love listening to their live music especially Danielle and Mike sing! As always great times!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nathan was our server last night and he gave us the most wonderful experience he was very informative and friendly would recommend 10/10 and will the espresso martinis are impeccable.
The best martinis, and the best octopus that I have had to date... and I'm always on the hunt for some delicious pulpo

Wonderful experience. Server Joe was great. Sliced ribeye special was on point. Cooked perfect medium rare! The Brussel Sprouts and potatoes where a great accompaniment.
Wonderful Italian restaurant in new Smyrna. Everything was very fresh and well-cooked.
Cute place with great food and live music. Everything we ordered was delicious! ♥️
Went in for a family sunday dinner. 1st time in. Was very happy with the service and the food. We had the appetizer special, the eggplant parm, ans the linguine limoncello. Everything was great. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I went here for our 7th anniversary and at least once a day for the following 3 days we have referenced it and how good of an experience it was. For reference we have dinned at probably at least a dozen high gastro / fine dinning restaurants. Limoncello is the best place experience wise we have eaten yet. I would put its food in 1st place for Italian and top 5 overall. My wife had lobster ravioli, which was amazing, and I had a clam and noodles dish that was very good. Our server was informative and friendly. We had what I would describe as a sommelier listen to a few of the popular styles in America of wines we like (Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot Noir) so he could recommend an Italian style. He suggested Vignali RoccaMena Negroamaro. It was a fabulous wine, probably the best I've ever had to date, and I hope we can find it locally when we get home.
First time eating here. A wonderful place.
Finally a good Italian place in Florida!!! Food was beyond amazing and service was top notch!!! Went there to celebrate my wife's bday yesterday and they made her feel like the queen she is!!! I would give 10 stars if I could!!! Will definitely be back! Best veal.chop ever!!!!
Absolutely love this place. The food is always perfectly balanced. The service is outstanding, Angelique and Enrica went out of their way to ensure our experience was exceptional. Enrica suggested the ravioli entree with braised rib stuffing that was most definitely the best ravioli I have ever tasted. Angelique went above and beyond to make us feel like family. I highly recommend you experience limoncello, a one of a kind foodie experience.
Absolutely fantastic every time! We’ve dined at Limoncello on several occasions and each experience has been exceptional. Luigi and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure everything is perfect. Delicious food, warm atmosphere, and top-notch service—highly recommended!
This is the best restaurant in the Hamptons for a reasonable, fresh, delicious, Italian-ish meal! Simple interior, attentive staff, delicious and NOT EXPENSIVE!!!
Our first time here and everything was fantastic. The bread was fresh and delicious. The cocktails excellent. Chicken Parmesan, Linguini Limoncello, spaghetti bolognese, and lasagna perfect. The service was also excellent. And the live music was good and not too loud to stifle conversation like most places. Highly recommend!!
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Limoncello. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. Our server, Enrica, was outstanding—she knew the menu inside and out and made fantastic recommendations. Her service was warm, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional. The manager, Angelique, was just as impressive—attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about ensuring every guest has a great experience. It was also a joy to watch the entire team of servers work together; their chemistry and positive energy created such a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. And the food? Top notch. Every dish was packed with authentic Italian flavor and beautifully prepared. If you're looking for amazing, expertly crafted cocktails, this is your place—each drink was balanced, creative, and just as memorable as the food. From start to finish, Limoncello exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to come back!
We went with our 2 year old daughter who loves live music. We went to watch the musician that night because a friend of our told us it was really nice. Well, when the Owner noticed us watching the singer, she immediately asked if we wanted to move to a closer table. Yes! It was perfect. My daughter was enthralled the whole time and the server got our food out promptly! And the food was delicious!! Our daughter consumed their bolognese pasta and I loved the chicken Piccata! And their house Merlot was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. Overall a 10 for everything! The night went so so so nicely!! Thank you Limoncello Staff for a nice night out!!
Fantastic Italian food with fun staff! Overall, it was very delicious and prepared how we expected. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because two of the menu options that we had planned to order were not available. We ordered the clam appetizers that had a great dipping sauce that complimented the bread. The pesto dipping for the bed was a nice treat compared with oil or butter. The bruschetta had an excellent basalmic reduction and very fresh tomatoes. I ordered the cheese pasta that is freshly made tableside (available only on weekends) as you can see pictures of, and it was delicious everyone at the table agreed it was fantastic! The paccheri al cognac was good but not as rewarding as my dish. The Frutti Mare was full of great seafood, but the lobster was overcooked. The fresh catch of the day was prepared perfectly with fresh veggies. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and creme brule that was flamed tableside, making this a fun way to end a meal. Overall, great experience!
It's a cute little restaurant, had live entertainment which was nice & also necessary. We started with the lamb, it was tender but for me it needed flavor. I had the Chilean sea bass with shrimp risotto, it was delicious together but individually the fish was under seasoned & the risotto was salty...definitely need to be eaten together. My cousin had the seafood linguini, he said it was good...seafood was fresh but it needed more alfredo sauce as it was a bit dry. We finished with the limoncello cake for dessert...it was ok. Our dinner was over $230 for what's shown in the pictures plus 4 beers that we got during happy hour. It was an experience, I gave it 4 stars because we knew it would be on the pricey side but didn't think it would be that expensive & for us the dishes were good but not great, the seafood was fresh & our waitress was sweet. I don't think we will be going back considering those prices but we had an ok time.
Found this place thanks to a friend giving us a gift card for Christmas. Came hoping to get the early bird dinner as we had seen the menu online, only to find out they are no longer doing it. Our server was super attentive. We both got the onion soup which was the days special, but it was not your typical French onion soup It had good taste, it was creamy served in a very shallow bowl. We mentioned it to the server which we could hear talking to the other servers on our comments of the soup which. Was a bit uncomfortable. Ordered the pear Gorgonzola raviolis which are amazing. The lasagna looked a bit dry and honestly it was just ok. Ended dinner with the creme brûlée which was also ok. I would return for the 6 pieces of pear Gorgonzola ravioli tho, they had a unique flavor
Went here with a reservation at 5:30pm. The restaurant from the outside looked deserted, but was busy inside. Started off with the limoncello martini and the espresso martini, both great. Then we had the lobster ravioli and the risotto ai funghi e agnello. The ravioli we asked to substitute white wine sauce, which was excellent. The risotto with lamb at first was not great as the risotto was undercooked, however they redid it for us and came out great. The lamb was good, just needed a bit more seasoning. I would likely return for the food, but the restaurant was a bit noisy and the tables very close together, so it was not quite the intimate dinner we hoped for.
This new Italian restaurant is trying hard to deliver an above average experience. And it mostly succeeds. The Martinis are correct and not watered down. The Carpaccio is thinly sliced beef of great quality, good parmesan, and nicely presented. Maybe too many crispy capers on top. Chicken Picatta was good. Bucatini Amatriciana was excellent - flavors coming together nicely and pasta cooked al dente. Good wine list, including wines by the glass. Waitress knew the menu and the wine. Limoncello South is one of the few "finer dining" destinations in New Smyrna Beach and is worth a visit. The location is not the most charming. And while prices are not steep it is one of the more expensive places in NSB.
Went to this place last night with a small group of friends after a sunset boat tour. We were able to get a table for 5 right away, which was great on a busy Saturday night. We ordered the Baseball Burrata & Frito Misto (without anchovies) to start off with. The Burrata was great, but we had to send the Frito Misto back - several of us tried 1 bite of the calamari and it was terrible (had a super strong non-calamari fish taste to it). It also came with anchovies on it, despite my friend saying twice “no anchovies”. I also ordered the Tijuana Cesar salad to start. I wish I would’ve looked more closely at the ingredients, because this salad was slathered in anchovies, which made the entire thing taste like anchovies. Besides that issue, the salad itself was VERY small for $9 - definitely not worth it. For entrees my friends enjoyed the Beef Carpaccio (good), Chicken Marsala (good), Tuna Steak Special (good), and the Fish of the Day Francese (good). I got the Carbonara and it was also good. None of our dishes were outstanding but we did enjoy them. Service overall was good as well.
I'll start with the positive, the atmosphere is always awesome the look and the feel are top notch . Music was outstanding again. They got us in without a reservation so we were very happy. In our first visit we had the most delicious surf and turf I've ever encountered in all my fine dining experiences. They must have changed the menu because there were not the same options, which is fine, so I had the grouper special and pasta and my wife wanted the lobster ravioli but it was 86. The waitress offered a solution , the cheese ravioli with the sauce that accompanied the lobster ravioli, a great compromise you'd think. But no, the cheese ravioli was flavorless hard and chewy! This is a fine Italian restaurant! How do you fail in your pasta?? My grouper was guaranteed to be fresh and bright accompanied by a delicious shrimp sauce and white wine sauce over the pasta. Again it lacked seasoning and whoever finished the sauce drowned it in lemon juice without allowing the sauce to come together and finish properly with the subtle touches a chef inspired dish would have. And we don't care about the price because I'm paying for these details to be accounted for , there might have been 4oz of fish and 3 white shrimp that looks like they came from Publix freezer. I'm NOT TRYING TO SHAME, we have been looking forward to coming back for quite some time and I probably told 100 people to skip The Garlic and go to the True Italian restaurant in New Smyrna , I hope this was just an off night. our waitress Emily was great, thank you for the pleasant service . Back of the house , "Fare meglio!"
We went specifically for the pear ravioli and told it was not available !! Really at 5:30 PM they have no pear ravioli. Then told Happy Hour prices for appetizers and drinks only apply if you are sitting at the bar. This is the first restaurant ever that we have heard of this policy and we go out to eat frequently and always try to book when Happy Hour is still going on. We will not return. Service was fine and our waiter was very apologetic but definitely a management issue with one of their main entrees unavailable and not allowed to enjoy Happy Hour specials simply because we were seated at a table.
This was our first time dining at Limoncello South and I had high expectations because of the reviews. Wow, were we disappointed! The good points were that the waiter was friendly , the tea and the appetizers were good, and the lady and man walking around were very nice. The bad was the wait time on our dinners. We got one of the specials tonight, Lobster Fra Diablo and apparently you have to ask if you want it spicy. Normally it is spicy but that's minor. So we both asked for it to be spicy. Well, when we finally got our meals ( which took forever and even the nice lady said she was going to see what was taking so long and never came back to tell us ), what an utter disappointment. They both weren't spicy, had no flavor , and the pasta was basically floating in oily tomato sauce. At this point we didn't tell our waiter or the nice lady ( didn't get her name ) that the food wasn't good because we didn't want to wait for another two dishes to be prepared.Oh and another thing , I would watch the wait staff when they grab the martini glasses for the bartender, there was one waitress in particular, that every time she grabbed a martini glass she'd stick her thumb inside the glass! Gross! I mean the alcohol going into the glass probably killed any germs but still. Would you want to drink out of a glass that someone stuck their thumb in , I think not. So we didn't order any alcoholic beverages for that reason. When we were leaving there was a drunk couple dancing right in front of the door going out. I had to climb over a chair to go out the door and my boyfriend had to move the guy out of his way. Sadly we won't be returning to this establishment.
My husband was taking me and 5 guests to dinner for my 70th birthday. Everything was fine for awhile until they brought our entrees. I ordered the RACK of lamb dinner for my birthday dinner. Everyone received their entrees and they bring me 2 lollypop lamb chops. I told her I didn't order it is ordered rack. She said they would fix it and it shouldn't take that long. It took forever and all my guests had finished their meals and I still didn't have mine yet. The meal was $59 and the lamb was thin and greasy. Certainly not worth the money. I was so upset I couldn't even eat dessert. My guests had theirs while I was eating my entrees. I had to argue with owner, who told me it was my fault to negotiating with manager over bill. I wasn't trying to get a free meal I just wanted to enjoy my family for my birthday. I definitely won't be going back.
Service was extremely slow. Alert… 3% surcharge for use of a credit card. Truly outrageous. No warning at all. Ordered the middle neck clam linguine. The clams were the smallest I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, clearly not middle neck. With regard to credit card surcharge, I suggest that customers Deduct 3% from the usual tip and let the owner know why.
Worst Valentine’s Day experience in my life. People were packed in like sardines and it was so loud I could not hear my wife talk. The photos of the restaurant suggest an intimate environment but that is very misleading. I ordered the lamb medium-rare and it was dry as a bone. For a $65 entree, it was well shy of expectations. The beet appetizer was more like a bad desert. I could not have been more disappointed in what I had hoped would be a fine dining experience.
Really disappointing experience. The service was terrible—our blonde server seemed angry the entire time and was rude whenever we asked anything. The food arrived cold and lacked any flavor, and the drinks were poorly made and not enjoyable at all. The overall atmosphere felt tense, with both staff and customers visibly irritated. Definitely not a place I’d recommend or return to. It's especially frustrating to work hard and then be treated poorly when you’re paying good money for what should be a nice dining experience.
Very mediocre food that is overpriced. The atmosphere tries to be elegant, but we’re sitting on plastic chairs. This was my second visit, thought I would give it another chance. I am Italian. I know good Italian food. This wasn’t it at all.
