Had one of the best Halloween nights. Musics were loud enough and staffs were nice. I recommend their open bar special. You could drink like 5 glasses of drink for only $29.

Went here years ago and come back to the same great service! Went to the bar and had a good drink and then asked if me and my friend could do karaoke without a reservation. ( didn't realize you needed one.) They let us have a room and charged us a great price! I will be recommending this place and I will return with more friends!
Great spot, they always have availability and you can bring in your own food (but not drinks). You’ll see some old reviews mentioning a drink minimum but they don’t seem go have that anymore. Music catalogue is healsonic and it’s easy to add songs from the app on your phone. Staff is nice, you can reserve a room SUPER fast via text and they are clear about rules, I think this also changed from the past. They take ID checks seriously, you NEED your physical ID. Been here a bunch and the experience has always been fine.
They were very transparent with pricing and hosted us with such kindness! Eric was the best host you can ask for! Great vibes, great song selections, great karaoke bar! Thank you Eric for making our night!
I had a great time here and I'd come back again. Out group of 8 fit the room almost fully. Room was warm, mics worked well, drinks from the bar conveniently closeby. Bathroom was clean. Didn't order food but it was affordable split between our group for 12-2am. Respectable staff. Made reservation few hours before and got in smooth, it was busy Saturday night.

I came here with friends late one night and we had a fun time singing and drinking. We got the all-you-can-drink, which is limited but can be cost effective if you hustle. The music selection and the music I listen to have a small overlap but I found a few that worked.
honestly i was kind of worried after reading the reviews but it was fine and they were upfront about the prices! so my group personallt had a good experience. overall its a little more expensive that i would like to spend for karaoke but there are def worse places. it was also the only place available to saturday w no reservation so i was thankful! the mixed drinks were decent, but it was kinda wild how the flavored soju was $35?!?! and they even reminded me to not double tip when i went to sign (as gratuity was already included), i feel like a sketchier place would not do that lol. i do like the karaoke system with the app - it's cool how you can queue and change the key but the songs are pretty outdated.

not the best rates (drink prices were insane) but at least they were honest and upfront with the charges. they even explained our bill at the end. they have a 2-hr minimum stay which isn’t crazy at all. however, make sure you keep track of time (ask them to remind you or set an alarm on your phone) as you will lose yourselves in the singing. one point I’d like to make is that the process of finding songs and setting everything up through QR codes and phone apps? it’s not the smartest way to do things for karaoke. especially when you’re most likely slightly intoxicated or intend to be. we spent about 15 minutes just trying to navigate the apps & half the songs we wanted, we couldn’t even find. the $25/person unli drinks deal is a good deal indeed if you can handle your liquor. but the options are limited. we only got vodka mixed with fruit juices throughout and a screwdriver isn’t part of it — which was a little ??? if you know how to make one. I will still recommend them if the original place you want to go to is not taking walk-ins because the staff are nice and the place is relatively well-kept.
had fun but was severely overpriced and facilities could be better. no byob but you can order in outside food which is nice

Private room karaoke 🎤 $40 an hour with a 2 hour minimum. High tech digital catalog of THOUSANDS of songs. Full bar with an odd rule that all cocktails are served as doubles... Can't get a single unless you order a shot 🥃. These might have been 'special rules' reserved for an obvious tourist... But that was my experience.
The cons unfortunately outweigh the pros. It's an alright place if you're going with 1 or 2 other people for a casual session, and they're really quick to get you a reservation, even on the weekends. They use healsonic for their karaoke system and some songs that aren't available at other locations fortunately work! However, the microphones kept cutting out through the entire 2 hour session, and the speakers kept popping. The usual disco lighting system was creaking and whirling a bunch- that we at first thought was genuine defect. For the pricing, I think it's kind of ridiculous, but for a last minute place, it'll get the job done. Try to go a little later than 7 since they won't have made any soju flavors earlier than that.

This is the second time I reserved a private karaoke room for my 5 friends and I. The first time was pre pandemic. The room rate was $40 per hour for up to 5 people the $8 per hour for each additional person. Pre pandemic a karaoke room reservation also came with a free 6 pack of beer (not that we are beer drinkers) and bottle service. There was also a food menu to order from. During our first experience, we ordered a bottle of vodka and were provided with mixers to make cosmopolitans. We ordered the appetizer sampler that came with fries, shrimp, chicken nuggets. We reserved the room for 3 hours and extended it one additional hour because we were having so much fun. When the bill arrived, the total came to a little over $367 and we were told if we paid cash we could pay $360 even. It was such a great experience we were looking forward to returning once they reopened after COVID. Post pandemic the experience was completely different. We came on the Wednesday after Christmas as we were all on break from work. The karaoke room rate remained the same. However, we were the only ones there so there was only one gentleman working the bar and no one present to attend the kitchen so the kitchen was closed. We were unable to order any food. First disappointment. The second disappointment was that there was no more beer included with the room and no bottle service. Instead they now offer open bar for $22 per person/per hour, or premium open bar for $29 per person/per hour. We opted for the $22per person/ per hour option. We again reserved the karaoke room for 3 hours but stood longer because we decided to order food through Grubhub since we were starving after a few hours. We ordered food and even ordered food for the gentleman attending our group since we felt sorry that he was there working alone. We ended the night 6 hours later. I also have to comment that some of the song lyrics were incorrect and the tune was different than expected on a numbers of songs. We had a great time, but the open bar was an absolute purse drainer. The third and final disappointment………………..the bill was $1089 compared to the $367 we paid the first time which included food. We were not offered any deals like last time. Overall we enjoyed ourselves since we were in each others company. Being friends for over 25 years, we bring the fun to wherever we go. We were looking forward recreating the memorable experience we had pre pandemic and end the year together. Unfortunately, this experience was a complete 180 compared to the first time. Don’t think we will be coming back.

Room was nicely AC'ed. Music selection is up to date. Service was upsetting. Rates were great BUT they had a hidden spending minimum so beware. They initially told us a great rate of $8/hr per person. After we agreed and went into the room, they pressured us to order drinks however we did not intend to because we already had drinks else where. Some of us had work so we weren't planning on drinking more. Once they realized we werent going order drinks, they were visibly upset. They then told us that we had to order a minimum of $20 of drinks per person on top of the rates. We were going to dispute the lack of transparency and were ready to leave but then the manager said it was okay so we stayed. However, they would peep through the door frequently see how much we've ordered. We felt very pressured to drink. We ended up ordering two drinks out of courtesy. We dont mind spending on drinks but the hidden rate was shady and a turn off. It definitely ruined our night. Had we known we needed to order drinks, we would've gone somewhere else with higher room rates but no spending minimum. It's about principles.
Drinks were watered down, my friend had 4 cocktails and didn’t feel tipsy at all and has a very low tolerance. I’d avoid at all costs if you plan on ordering drinks other than beer. Otherwise this place was fine for a night of karaoke. The mics blew out a few times but still had a decent night. The staff was nice.

I had a very disappointing experience at 5 Bar Karaoke. I reserved a room for 10 people, but at the end of the night, we were told that there was no room available for 10 people, and that we would have to pay for an extra 2 people. When we got into the room, the song selector remote wasn't working. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come fix it, but no one came. We ended up having to download an app to select songs. The drinks were weak and the room was dirty. There was a long hair on the microphone stand and the tables were sticky. To top it all off, they tried to charge us for the 15 minutes we couldn't sing because the song selector remote wasn't working. I would not recommend 5 Bar Karaoke to anyone. Here are some specific details about my experience: The song selector remote wasn't working. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come fix it, but no one came. We ended up having to download an app to select songs. The drinks were weak. I ordered a pomegrate drink and it was barely alcoholic. The room was dirty. There was a long hair on the microphone and the tables and floors were sticky. They tried to charge us for the 15 minutes we couldn't sing because the song selector remote wasn't working.
Shady spot. We reserved for two hours ahead of time for the advertised $40/hr rate but when we arrived we were told we would only get one hour unless we purchased one of their bottle bundles ($270 for a $40 bottle of booze and an hour of time). When we declined and chose to stay for just an hour, they held on to one of our credit cards. After we were seated, we were then informed there was an additional $20/person minimum. We made the most of our time, even though both the room and drinks were low quality and barebones.
Stumbled upon here randomly while looking for something to do late at night with friends. We were taken to a room and the server explained how to work the machine. Apparently, there's a 1 drink pp minimum (which, btw, is not listed anywhere). Cheapest drink is a beer for $8, cocktails $16. He then brought the drinks to our room. There is also a food menu. I would give this place zero stars due to lack of price transparency and bad (to say the least) attitude of the owner (at least I think he was the owner). My friend and I were told by one of the workers that it was $30/hr with a minimum order of 1 drink pp. We stayed for 1 hour 50 minutes. When the bill came, we were charged $73.33 instead of $50-something. I informed him that we were told from the beginning by our server that the rate was $30. Instead of apologizing or trying to make amends, he asks "so what do you want me to do?" After some back and forth, he finally decides to give us a refund. As he was doing so, he was very passive aggressive, acting like he was doing us a favor. He then became defensive and said that the worker "has worked here for a long time, you probably misunderstood." The place was not loud and he was not wearing a mask so I was able to read his lips clearly. My friend and I both definitely saw and heard "THIRTY." He then proceeded to tell me that "you're accusing us of ripping you off" and running a "scam." "The computer is preset to $40, why would we tell you $30?" I simply told him that we were mischarged, but if he saying that he was "ripping us off," that says something about the way he runs business and the whole establishment. If you don't want to give us a refund, fine I'll just call my credit card company. But, if you offered to refund us, why say all of this out loud? This owner needs a course on customer service recovery; the way and the tone he talked to us was unacceptable. Our server, during this whole debacle, was down at the other end of the bar and then eventually disappeared without saying a single word😑 I really don't care what the price is but just tell us up front and be honest and stick to your word. Other karaoke places I've been to don't have prices listed either, however, whatever price I was told in the beginning was the actual price I was charged. Don't know how this place is top-rated but stay away! I'll just stay in Jersey for karaoke.
If I could put 0 stars I would. Incredibly rude staff yelling at us for no reason. Disrespectful and unprofessional. Never coming back neither is anyone I know.
If you can find karaoke somewhere else in the city GO ELSEWHERE! First I had confirmed for my big party of about 21 people a month before the date. I called on the day of the actual event to confirm the party size and how many hours which I always said was 3 hours not 2. Some people in my party arrived first and they were told we could only have the room for 2 hours and had to be kicked out after. So when I arrived I ended up disputing that and saying what I confirmed for since the month prior. The man was very nasty and said well all of y’all can get out I’m gonna go kick your party out right now. That was very rude when apparently the different people I spoke to it was always confirmed for 3 hours. Next someone else in my party spoke to the same man and he said we were to move to another room after 9 because it was another large party who reserved for 9. Fast forward that was a lie because no party even so called came for that room and we stayed the WHOLE 3 hours in the same room . Next I noticed as people were ordering drinks at the bar one side of the bar was telling people you couldn’t pay for your stuff at the bar but it had to be billed to the room. The other side of the bar was saying you could pay for your items at the bar if you wanted to. So I called them out on that with several people around and they didn’t like that as well. Oh but it gets better then I discovered that they were charging people different gratuities on their drinks and adding on their own too which was different numbers for different people as well. They were also making up different prices for the drinks as well. For example my cousin ordered the same drink all night. Don Julio and juice which the first one was 20, then his second they charged him $27 and it just kept increasing till his last one was $34. This place is a complete scam from The way they handle business. The way they talk to people, the way they make up their own prices and add their own tax. COMPLETE SCAM! Also, it gets better they charged my card 2x for the amount of 700. If you can go somewhere else go oh and also they act like they don’t take cash so they can slap your card with the extra gratuity and throw own added tip as if you have to tip them. Don’t waste your time !
Summary: This karaoke spot was unable to provide a room with working speakers for our birthday party with 16 people and charged us full price without seeking any ways to accommodate our experience, and went so far as to aggressively tell us to "deal with it or leave." Details: When we asked for help in fixing the speakers to our party room, the manager organized a quick try, but after it didn't work, he settled with a "deal with it" attitude. When we asked for possible accommodations to make up for the experience, he aggressively replied "you can leave." When I asked for time to let me discuss with the party, he said "sure," but not without sending his employees to already bring cleaning supplies to our room, letting us know we were not welcome. This is a horrible and offensive attitude, showing no empathy for the birthday girl who was very excited to celebrate in this location. I hope the manager realizes that he cannot treat his customers this way and that they should be proactively ensuring that all rooms are functional beforehand, especially when it's known in advance that such a large party would be there. We are never coming back.

VERY VERY rude staff, unprofessional, disrespectful. Too bad because the place is legit.
