We held our annual holiday dinner at this amazing establishment Our server Jaime was absolutely amazing and made our experience go from a 10 to a 1000. His service, sense of humor and all around attitude was 2nd only to his kind the way he treated us all like family. His kind demeanor was everything that was needed for our special evening. 4 Million and you're coming on vacation with us, so get ready. :) The steaks were all amazing, melted like butter. The apps and sides were fantastic. Jaime's wine suggestion was top notch and the deserts were amazingly delicious. We were all very happy with our evening and will define back.

If you're looking for a fining dining restaurant that's in the heart of NYC, look no further. Food quality and presentation was spectacular while the ambiance and mood was warm and cozy. It also helped that our party was seated near the fireplace. Our server Jaime was very friendly and he did an amazing job to make sure everything was perfect!

Sea Fire Grill offered an extraordinary seafood dining experience that left a lasting impression. We began our meal with a rich and creamy lobster bisque, which was perfectly seasoned and had a smooth texture that was incredibly satisfying. Following this, we indulged in succulent grilled prawns that were marinated to perfection, resulting in a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The creamed spinach that accompanied our dishes was velvety smooth and complemented the other flavors beautifully. For the main course, we chose the tomahawk steak, which was cooked to our exact specifications, resulting in a tender and juicy piece of meat that was a true culinary delight. To top off our meal, we savored the crab-stuffed lobster, a dish that was both visually appealing and bursting with the fresh, sweet taste of crab meat. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Sea Fire Grill was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly attentive, always ensuring that our glasses were refilled and that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Their kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and valued as guests. The restaurant itself provided the perfect setting for a weeknight dinner, offering a balance between a cozy and casual atmosphere and a formal dining experience. The beautiful instrumental music playing softly in the background, combined with the dim lighting, created an ambiance that was both intimate and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a memorable evening.

What a great find. There was seven of us. We had the Branzino, Dover Sol, Yellowfin Tuna. This place is great and a must eat at. I’m from Florida and we have great seafood. This place is one of the best if not the best seafood places I’ve ever been to. Great job Sea Fire!

My fiancée and I were in the area and were looking for a great restaurant in NYC. Decided to call to make sure we could get last minute reservations for the two of us. The staff was very friendly and we were lucky enough to be able to get a table despite it being restaurant week (we had no idea!). The atmosphere was elite, and the food was exquisite! Our server Dennis made great recommendations and he (along with the entire wait staff) went above and beyond to make sure our experience was phenomenal! The food was so good that I’m already looking forward to coming back the next time we are in the NYC area. FYI there is no valet parking but there is a garage directly across the street from the restaurant for easy and safe parking!

If you’re searching for an unforgettable seafood and steakhouse experience in Midtown East, look no further than Sea Fire Grill. From the moment you step inside, the warm, cozy ambiance welcomes you in, with a roaring fireplace that sets the perfect tone for an elegant yet inviting meal. The menu is a masterclass in indulgence, where every dish impresses. The tuna tartare was a standout—so fresh, so perfectly balanced, that I could eat it every day and never tire of it. The scallops were divine, cooked to perfection with a delicate sear, while the ribeye steak was an absolute showstopper—juicy, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let’s not forget the balsamic Brussels sprouts, possibly the best I’ve ever had. Pair all of this with exquisite drinks, and you have a meal that leaves a lasting impression. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly attentive, their recommendations were flawless, and we were treated like royalty from start to finish. Sea Fire Grill is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-tier seafood and steak in a refined yet comfortable setting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to an extraordinary meal, this restaurant delivers on every level. Highly recommended!

Great service and food! They have an excellent lunch prefix. We went for dinner where everything was a la carte with comparable prices to other fine dining places in the area.

This was a ladies lunch for us to catch up as we hadn't seen each other in awhile. It was our first time going to Sea Fire Grill. I was impressed by the decor. The noise level was perfect. We could hear each other speak and didn't have to struggle. The staff is professional and so nice. We all did the Prix Fixe menu and the options all sounded delicious, making it hard to decide. I had the mesclun salad, the Scottish Salmon and tiramisu. As you will see by my photos, the portions are perfect. The salad was delicious, I love the watermelon radish and asparagus. The salmon was cooked to perfection and I loved the black rice. Our waiter highly recommended the tiramisu and he was so right, it was the best I have had. I will be going back to try other items on the menu. I highly recommend Sea Fire Grill

We had an absolutely excellent experience at The Seafire Grill. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. For appetizers, we ordered the hamachi sashimi, tuna tartare, octopus, and grilled shrimp — every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The ambience was very nice, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. There was no wait time, and the service was truly top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. For our main courses, we had the filet mignon and the ribeye, both cooked to absolute perfection. We also ordered the truffle fries and lobster mac and cheese, which were both excellent and complemented the steaks perfectly. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Sea Fire Grill on on E48 th St, near 3rd Ave. NYC. Clean and quiet contemporary American seafood restaurant with gas fireplace in the rear. We came on a Saturday night. Clients mostly couples and families.I had split pea soup, halibut, French fries & apple strudel. All quite nice. My wife had a glass of (French) Pinot Noir, mesclun salad, duck, Tiramisu. Duck was ok but just ok. The others pretty good. On this chilly March evening the fireplace added warmth to the atmosphere.

The food was AMAZING! The service was even MORE AMAZING! Jaime was our waiter, and while we didn't think anything about the place or the food could be made better, the experience of having Jaime serve us - his attention to detail and intention to ensure we were happy and satisfied with everything one expects to have when they dine-out - pushed our desire to give a 6 STAR review for service - but the most you can give is a 5 STAR review.................so we are forced to make note of his STELLAR service in the text portion of our review! We would recommend Sea Fire to anyone/everyone seeking to have an outstanding restaurant experience and also strongly suggest they request Jaime as their server! GREAT TIME HAD BY ALL of us who wined and dined here! We will be back again, and again, and again!

Our family of eight is still talking about our Christmas Eve dinner. The Italian food was outstanding, the menu was impressive, and the service made the night special. The 30 feet of fresh in house made pasta was a impressive. A highlight of the night was how beautifully they handled my wife’s vegan meal. She said it was the best vegan dish she has ever had in a restaurant. Ben, the captain and manager, immediately put her at ease. He told her “I got you, don’t worry,” and delivered memorable meal. We look forward to many more visits.

We had a wonderful impromptu dinner for 6 on Xmas day in NYC. Tableside service was entertaining and food, although expensive, was delicious. My only negative comment pertains to the mandatory tip that was added to my bill as I was treating my family. The tip of 20%, which is fine, was added to the bill AFTER THE SALES TAX, which I feel is inappropriate and was not an accident. For such a classy restaurant, I did not expect this and did not bring this to the attention of the host because I was with my family and did not want to bring attention to the bill which was in excess of $1000. At least when I calculate the tip, I have complete discretion but when it is automatically added to your bill in a fine restaurant, I expect it to be correct.

The service was amazing. Camila the bartender had exceptional service and made wonderful drinks. The service was super fast and the food was authentic and delicious. I recommend the clams for the appetizer. The paired citrus sauce was divine. I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try a new Italian restaurant.

This was my first time to NYC and I want to say I visited a lot of places but one place that stuck with me was this restaurant , It was amazing !! I want to start by giving Benny the owner a shout out he gave me the NYC experience as soon as I got there , I was staying at the Hilton Bernic the hotel right beside the restaurant. We stopped for some expreso martinis the first night and while sitting there Benny yelled out ! The trash ! And I was so confused but it was his way of telling his server to take out the trash and continued to tell him that when he says “trash “the trash needs to be taken out .I found this so authentic and New York . I was in New York for three days and the main reason I was there was to propose to my now fiancée . She said YES ! . While there I got news my father had a stoke . While leaving New York we had dinner one last time and Benny showed so much compassion and gave us a the full experience of his restaurant , his staff to the bartender was great with delicious food and dessert and the way Benny loves what he does you can tell he put so much love to his product . Thanks Benny he didn’t know but him showing so much grace and kindness while serving his delicious food and wine was healing me . Thanks allora and Benny ! I’ll be back soon .

My recent dinner at Allora was absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The food was nothing short of incredible, You can truly taste the passion and quality in every bite. What made the night even more special was Nol, our waiter. Nol was beyond amazing — attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, and genuinely warm and welcoming. He made us feel like family and elevated the entire experience. If you’re looking for a perfect night out in NYC with outstanding Italian food and top-tier service, Allora is the place. Ask for Nol — you won’t be disappointed! Highly, highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to Allora regularly for the past seven years, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite spots in New York. From the moment you walk in, Elio, Ben, and the entire team make you feel like family. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail create an atmosphere that’s both welcoming and refined. Whether I’m hosting a business lunch or enjoying a night out with friends, Allora always delivers. The ambiance is perfect, the service is impeccable, and the food—consistently outstanding. My favorite dish is the Pollo Mt. Etna—a flavorful masterpiece that I look forward to every time I visit. It’s a must-try! Allora is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where great meals and great memories are made. Highly recommended!

This is my second time here. At its price point (perhaps $75-$125 depending on alcohol), this is a delightful experience in traditional Italian cuisine. My meal was a Negroni, a Caesar salad prepared table-side (with anchovies and raw egg yolk), and a very standard rigatoni bolognese with a glass of Chianti -- no surprises, everything traditional. At the start of the meal, a choice of breads is brought to the table. Then another server brings a few small plates of complimentary antipasti - some chunks of cheese w/ hard salami, a pepper, and some toasted zucchini (I think) slices. The service was attentive without being cloying. If you're east of Times Square or north of Murray Hill and need something you can depend on, this is a great choice. I ate at a table, but bar seating was nice as well. On the way out, the manager encouraged me to share a limoncello but I had some work to do and had to decline. Maybe next time. There was a back area for outside dining (I think, but not sure). I'll be back.

Food is great. The octopus special was amazing. Very classy restaurant. The service was superior and I strongly recommend this spot. I have stayed at the hotel attached and would visit daily to get food or enjoy a drink. Camila is amazing and so friendly while handling business at the bar. With all of the great options for food in Midtown Manhattan, I still find myself eating here regularly for the food and the staff.

A Hidden Gem in Midtown . Allora is an absolute treasure for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality, an elegant yet cozy ambiance, and an air of sophistication that sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. My partner and I have been coming here for about 2 years now and we will always denominate Allora as our favorite Italian spot in Manhattan. The menu is a perfect balance of classic Italian flavors and modern culinary artistry. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that shine in every bite. The pasta is undoubtedly a standout—perfectly al dente, rich in flavor, and made with precision. The seafood dishes are exquisite, and the wine selection is extensive, ensuring the perfect pairing for any meal. My partner is always pleased with their seafood dishes and I’m always amazed with the quality of the pasta. The service at Allora is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about making each guest’s experience memorable. Allora always provides us with the best experience in every way. Frank is one of a kind and his attention is always top. If you’re in Midtown and looking for an extraordinary dining experience, Allora is a must-visit. Five stars without hesitation!

Good food and great service. Sommelier in the house and did a great job recommending wine pairing with foods. Lobster Bisque was too salty and small amount of lobster bits. Filet mignon was done well, medium rare, juicy, tender and tasty.

Amazing appetizers, I didn’t like the lobster much. But the Spanish octopus and the scallops were amazing.

The restaurant was attached to our hotel. After a long trip it was an easy place for dinner. We were promptly seated. Dinner and service were all great. Atmosphere is quiet and cozy. We always split meals and they did the split in the kitchen which is always appreciated. Great and convenient choice and would go back.

As part of our Ryder Cup visit to NYC we spent a lovely evening at the Allora Ristorante where we were looked after by the host, Elio and his team. Food was top quality and it was a pleasant atmosphere…”Ya better believe it” is a phrase you’ll hear a lot 😂!!

We went to have a nice enjoyable dinner at The Seafire grill . The name itself was already very inviting especially if you like a seafood. It was a Holliday evening and we expected to have a great time with the delicious food. We met a relaxing atmosphere, classic interior with white tablecloth, candles and nice tableware, welcoming space with the dimmed lights. The menu printing was hard to read but staff was very welcoming and gave us some guidelines. I highly appreciate that the music was not loud and we could have a pleasant conversation. The basket of warm bread with butter, olive oil and spread was served as complement from the beginning. The order included two appetisers: Jumbo Lamp crab cake and Spanish octopus. Spanish octopus was the star dish, very well seasoned and balanced with vegetables and the most tender and juicy meat. We enjoyed it very much. I cannot say l like a crab cake. It was very dense, hard with few sauces which were plain and didn’t complement the dish in any way. The pillow of sliced celery root under cake was dry and tough to chew. Not really enjoyable combination. For a main course we chose a classic: a piece of fish and a piece of beef, and it was a disappointment. The piece of beef that we got cannot be served as bone in ribeye for $90. It felt as several times defrosted meat with the texture of paper. Just look at the picture. The side you should order separately. And we did. Fries. No words. The other entree was fish of the day: fresh catches: filet of Striped bass served on sauced Brussels sprouts. Taste of cabbage was extensive sour, overwhelming with balsamic vinegar and the fish was dry, unflavoured and the it had a greyish color. I know my review sounds harsh. Maybe it was that restaurant’s bad day, not great products delivery, anything? But over $300 check for two with such quality is unacceptable. The restaurant was almost empty with just few tables occupied. I give 3 stars for just a such a nice place, great location, carrying personal and future positive perspectives.

Really wanted to like this place. It's a nice location and has a lovely fireplace at the back. We had the branzino and the swordfish along with the creamed spinach, lobster bisque and burrata. All of it was just average. Disappointing for the price.

My husband and I decided to try Sea Fire Grill based on a recommendation from a friend. We made a reservation for 5 PM via OpenTable before heading to a Broadway show at 7 PM. When we arrived, there were a few tables occupied, but it wasn't too busy. The hostess seated us at a table directly in front of the fireplace, which was perfect until they started seating other parties uncomfortably close to us. This was odd, considering there were plenty of other available tables. The proximity of the two parties made our dining experience less enjoyable due to the loud conversations surrounding us. Despite our efforts to tune them out, it was challenging. Initially, the service was good, but it declined as the night went on, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. We started with a special appetizer: a large grilled prawn. While it was good, it lacked flavor and seasoning. For cocktails, we ordered an Old Fashioned and an Espresso Martini, both of which were pretty good. For our entrees, we decided to split the surf and turf, along with Brussels sprouts and lobster mac and cheese as sides. We requested our steak to be cooked medium; however, some parts were medium while others were medium-well. The seafood that accompanied the steak was flavorless, tasting as though it had only been blanched in water. On a positive note, the sides were quite tasty, with the Brussels sprouts being our favorite. Overall, our experience was a bit lackluster.

This was our third time visiting. The atmosphere is great but the food is overpriced and bland. When we went years ago, the food was better. I do remember liking he atmosphere better than the food. This visit I had to send back the tuna; the bok choy was boring and flavorless. It was an easy dish to make well. Mgmt was great and highly professional about returning it, but my server seemed politely annoyed. The salmon was better but the black rice was a little hard. The lobster and prawn were okay but bland as well. I have had fresher seafood at other places in the city. The drinks are delicious. For the high prices, the food should be better. Maybe it used to be better flavors but I won’t be returning.

Lobster bisque tasty but found two shell pieces I bit into. Bread was sooo bad, shouldn’t even bother serving. Veal Marsala basic and not that tender with little seasoning, reliant on the sauce which was one note. Dessert ugh don’t bother

The comments on the predatory upselling are true. They are extremely aggressive in upselling menu items, often in a shady manner. On multiple accounts, they offered a "sample" of different menu items for our large party, only to bring out full sized portions for each individual person. They attempted this several times presumably to rack up our bill and we had to be adamant to prevent them from continuing to doing so. It seems a part of their ploy is to speak rapidly and make decisions on your behalf to add unnecessary upgrades to your meal. They quickly poured 3 bottles of spring water to our bill despite us saying well water was fine; they poured our wine bottle out to our entire party despite us explicitly asking for it to be saved for one half of our table, so as to encourage ordering more bottles; our waiter offered "half" of one dish and "half" of another only to bring out (and charge for) two full dishes for one guest; you can imagine that many of these small tactics would add up to rack up a much larger bill than expected. I will say the appetizers were all very flavorful, but the main courses were average at best. The Mt Etna chicken dish was not as advertised; what was supposed to be cherry tomatoes and balsamic reduction came out as a simply weird takeout Chinese-like mixture. The entire restaurant was empty save for one other party, and I have a feeling their predatory tactics are a reason why. Avoid this place if you're a large party; or if you desire more respectable Italian cuisine.

Review It’s 2025 and I expect that I have to give consent before being taken advantage of. Every time we ordered something the waiter upsold us without permission and positioned it like it was on the house. I ordered the prosciutto melon appetizer and the waiter said, “Ok we will add burrata to that for you” and then he started taking the next order. That addition was an upsell. For another appetizer he upsold us and we thought he was just repeating the order. We ordered one bottle of wine but got two and both were opened before we could say a thing. Overall this resulted in extra 350 dollars in charges. The Branzino was 55 dollars and supposed to be deboned at the table. Due to the holidays they were deboning it in the kitchen. This was a lie. We received what was obviously a frozen pan fried fish. The manager brought a real branzino and deboned it in front of us and it was a completely different dish. The gnocchi seemed store bought (or it was very bad gnocchi). Some of the food was good. The ribeye may have been the best steak I have had in New York. The actual branzino was also amazing. It’s disappointing they cut corners when they were capable of making good food and the deceptive upsells were not appreciated.

Rigena Lewis

Absolutely atrocious experience with dishonest, predatory service. I came here for a holiday dinner with coworkers and strongly advise against this restaurant for large parties ..or any party, frankly. Upon being seated, we received no drink or food menus. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, we were finally given a wine menu and placed our order. The wine arrived already opened. When our server came to take our appetizer order, our group requested calamari. Instead of taking our actual order, he arbitrarily decided we would be having a calamari and scallop combo - something nobody requested and nobody was consulted about. When the appetizer finally arrived over an hour later (by which time we’d finished our wine), it wasn’t calamari and scallops at all, but rather a “combo” plate of tuna, octopus, grilled calamari, and something else we couldn’t identify (27$ pp by the way). When we pointed out this wasn’t what had been ordered, the staff was dismissive and simply brought scallops as an afterthought. By this point, we’d been waiting for food for 1.5 hours and were starving, so we reluctantly ate what was served. What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening became an exercise in tolerating predatory upselling and blatant dishonesty. For my main course, I ordered the branzino and explicitly confirmed with the server that it would be a whole fish. He assured me it would be, explaining they would debone it in the kitchen since maneuvering the cart was difficult. I agreed to this accommodation. When our entrees finally arrived at the 2.5-hour mark, I was served what was clearly a pan-fried filet - not a deboned whole branzino. When I refused to accept it, they suddenly decided to actually cook the whole fish as originally ordered. Once prepared correctly, it was quite good - which makes the initial deception even more infuriating. If you don’t want to prepare a dish properly, simply tell customers it’s unavailable and allow them to order something else. Don’t lie and serve inferior substitutes to paying customers. The steak was reportedly good, but no steak knives were provided. When we requested proper cutlery, they brought butter knives. This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had mostly because of the systematic lying and dishonest practices throughout the evening. The complete lack of integrity is disgusting. Do not patronize this establishment. Spend your money literally anywhere else.

I never leave reviews, but I felt I had to share how disappointed I was with this experience. From the pictures you’d think its rooftop, but we were seated in a cramped drab hallway, with low effort Christmas decor. We waited for 30minutes before we ordered food, the food took 1hour to come (despite being just 3 pasta dishes). It was WAY overpriced, and the portion sizes were meager. They even forgot one of the dishes we ordered and charged us for it. The waitstaff was nowhere to be found, until the end of the meal where they couldn’t wait to clear our dishes before we barely finished. The food was fine, but nothing special. I would not recommend.
