We had such a wonderful dining experience at Boqueria. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything we tried was outstanding! A special thank you to Léo, who provided exceptional service and made us feel truly welcomed. He was attentive, friendly, and professional the entire time. We also want to thank Colin, the manager, for being so kind and making sure everything was perfect. You can really tell this place values great service and a great atmosphere. Overall, an excellent experience with amazing food and outstanding customer service. We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others! Happy Valentine '
What a great gem! A friend and I wear walking back from a show and decided to stop in and have a night cap. Angel was at the bar and helped us right away. He was so nice and talked with us for a while to tell us about the restaurant. He made sure our drinks weren't empty unless we wanted them to be. I enjoyed his service so much I came back the next day to have a pre-show dinner at the bar. The restaurant and food were outstanding and if you're lucky enough to meet Angel, congratulations!
Arrived 5:55pm. Just in time for happy hour! Sangria, $2/pan con tomate. ------------------ Nice orange tang red sangria. Serves Spanish beer. Namesake Barcelona interior. High loft good. Bar in the middle. Adjacent to AC hotel. Two tapas plus churros con chocolate good lunch option. Had solid beef skewer and croquetas. Pan con tomate very nice.
We dropped by this spot for Saturday brunch, and it didn’t disappoint. Located in Midtown Manhattan, it was surprisingly not too crowded for a weekend, which made the experience more relaxed. We ordered the Boqueria BEC and Dos Huevos Y Más, and paired them with churros. The food was good overall — the side potatoes were especially tasty, and the salsa verde dip was perfect with the bread. The ambience is spacious and clean, and the staff did well — we had a small issue with part of our order initially, but they were quick to respond and fix it, which we appreciated. Overall, a very solid brunch spot in Midtown with good service and a pleasant atmosphere. We’d definitely consider coming back.
I didn’t believe a nice place could exist around Times Square but was I wrong! Amazing atmosphere, food, cocktails and a very friendly and attentive staff make this a go to for me from now on! The host helped me find my friend and the guy that took care of us was awesome! Thanks for the great experience!
Loved the service and food is amazing!!!!! Thank you Joel! EDIT: My friends and I loved it so much we returned the next day to dine again. I will be back next time I am in NYC. Thank you to Collin for being such a gracious and personable host! I recommend the entraña steak, croquettas de jamon, blue cheese bacon wrapped dates, bikini grilled cheese. Everything was divine!
Food, service, atmosphere, everything was great! It’s an ideal place for the romantic dinner (where you can talk and hear each other!). By looking at their outside terrace we didn’t expect that much, until entered inside. Good choice of tapas. We ordered tuna crudo and seafood paella (they also have veggie and meat options). It’s more than enough for 2 people. Usually I’m not a huge fan of paella but here the guys know how to prepare it good! It was very delicious! Order a glass of cava, it’ll be a nice add-on to your meal. Overall, 10 out of 10.
Seated at the kitchen window, I couldn't have asked for a better seat at in the house. Chef Arturo not only accommodated my partners food questions and adjustments but also was our server for the busy lunch. Great burger, juicy roasted chicken and possibly the best Ceasars salad I've ever had. Crispy potatoes wedges are to die for. Can't wait to come back for tapas!
Boqueria is absolutely phenomenal. From the aesthetic & ambiance, menu selection, to superb service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. We tried about 11 dishes and every single one was amazing. Bobbi was the best part of the evening; her bubbly personality and laughter helped make my friend's birthday even more special (and shout out to the birthday churros). I cannot recommend this place enough! I will definitely come back the next time I'm in the city.
Food was great. Paella didn’t take so long which was amazing. We had both the pulpo and the gambas al ajillo and they were fantastic. The green sauce in the paella is great, it add some nice flavor. We came around 3PM on a Sunday and the place was pretty empty but it has a nice vibe.
We had a fantastic dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Our server was incredibly warm and hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. She was attentive throughout the meal, checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. The welcoming atmosphere and excellent service made for a wonderful time with family. We’ll definitely be back!

The experience from start to finish felt thoughtfully curated, the kind that reminds you how powerful great hospitality and well-executed food can be. From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone. Karla (with a “K” 😊) took exceptional care of us throughout the meal, attentive without ever being intrusive. She had a warm, natural way of making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Manager Tiffany also stopped by and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. That level of attentiveness elevates a meal from simply good to genuinely memorable. The atmosphere itself deserves recognition. Even during the lunch hour, the space maintained a calming, relaxed energy. We ordered the paella, and although it required a bit of patience, it was absolutely worth the wait. The rice was cooked beautifully, with a superb texture that struck that delicate balance between tender and structured. It was hearty and deeply satisfying. For my personal taste it leaned slightly salty, but the overall execution and flavor profile still made it a standout dish. Among the tapas, the croquetas were easily the highlight of the meal. Crisp on the outside and wonderfully creamy within, they delivered that perfect contrast of texture that makes this classic tapa so beloved. Each bite was rich, comforting, and incredibly flavorful—without a doubt my favorite small plate of the afternoon.
I have been to the Boston location a few times, and decided to try my luck in NYC. I was not disappointed. Service was a little slow, but the food and ambiance were just perfect. We ordered albondigas ($17.5) croquetas ($9)and gambas al ajillo ($19.5) all delicious and authentically Spanish. Two bottles of wine later ($60 each) and a great lunch was had. Food is authentic and delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
Been here two times and did the “Boqueria experience” both times. The first time had an amazing experience. Everything was brought out with an explanation of what you were getting and in a nice timely matter. The most recent time felt rushed, they were bringing multiple plates out at once. They didn’t let us know what we were eating. Our table was so crowded because they didn’t give us time to finish our current plates. Either way food was always good.
It's perfectly decent Spanish Tapas. Nice decor, good service. The food is alright, nothing that will blow your mind but it's good. The Brussels sprouts is nicely caramelized and mildly charred, which is proper. The octopus was ok, it was tender but would have been better if the "skin" was crispy. Overall, would I eat there? Sure, if it's convenient, but wouldn't go out of my way to go specifically for it.
We went last night pre movie and were seated immediately . I loved everything especially the fast , friendly efficient service . Only issue, vwe sat outside in the enclosed courtyard and it was very noisy a lot of the time with people talking . There's a fantastic selection of reasonably priced tapas dishes and the ones we had were delicious ( not amazing but arrived fast!) . Would go back definately .
Chic Ambiance and Must-Try Tapas! We visited Boqueria W40th for a slightly delayed weekend brunch and were seated immediately, which was a nice start. The atmosphere here is truly a highlight—very chic, vibrant, and thoroughly enjoyable. It sets a fantastic scene for a New York brunch or tapas experience. Our server was excellent: polite, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us through the tapas-style offerings. For starters, we were highly impressed with the tapas. The Kale Salad was very nice and refreshing; while it lacked a bit of crunch, the delicious cheese component more than made up for it. The absolute star of the meal, however, was the Mushroom Croquets. With its perfectly crunchy exterior and the wonderfully cheesy, truffle aioli filling, it was a thoroughly flavorful delight that truly won us over! Hoping for another hit, I ordered the single-serve Seafood Paella. Unfortunately, this dish was a bit disappointing. Although the flavor profile was there (and improved with a pinch of salt), the iron skillet it was served in had excessive charring—it felt almost burnt in parts, making some of the rice nearly inedible. While the rice texture might have been intentionally al dente, the char was distracting and meant the dish ultimately didn’t meet expectations. Overall: Boqueria is a fantastic spot for the atmosphere and those incredible tapas (seriously, order the croquetas!). The service is top-notch. If you stick to their strong small plates, you will have a wonderful meal.
