We were headed to the subway and saw a sign that simply said coffee. In need of caffeine, we stopped in. I had a chai con leche and my daughter had a matcha with oat milk. Mine was perfectly delicious and aromatic. She enjoyed the matcha and said she probably should have had them add a sweetener. The oat milk upcharge was $0.50. More places are offering dairy alternatives for free, but I’ve seen it $1.50 elsewhere in town—so it seemed reasonable. We split spinach and cheese and veggie empanadas. They were hot and served with a pleasant verde salsa that was flavorful but mild on spice. The empanadas were 2 for $9 and with the drinks and tip, we spent about $25.
I tried the veggie and the chicken with spinach empanadas, sooooo delicious and flavorful! Their chai was also yum! The staff was super friendly, which is much appreciated. Can't wait to come back and try other things in the menu.
Great sandwich and coffee! Reasonably priced and nice staff ☕️🥪
Very cute coffee shop! I got the avocado toast and the hot chocolate with their homemade cashew milk. The avocado toast was good, it came with plantain chips. What really stole the show was the hot chocolate - it was so rich and creamy especially because of the cashew milk. HIGHLY recommend their drinks. The women working there are also super sweet and they had the shop decked out for Halloween which was cute!
Great coffees! The bombon espresso drink is really tasty but small
Hidden gem in Chinatown - a Latin place with a twist! Check out their menu. Everything is tasteful and with great presentation. The ladies - Fiona and Nicole take pride on serving with excellence. If you are in the area, swing by for breakfast or quick coffee. You will not be disappointed. Nice and clean atmosphere and even has some nice little tables for outside sitting under the shade.
The ladies are the sweetest and the best!!! Their açaí bowl is delicious and nutritious!
Friendly cheerful staff. Excellent Cortadito
Cute little cafe near Chinatown! Their smoothies are fresh and delicious 😋

Cafecito has so many great options, but I especially recommend the Cafe Bombon and the empanadas! The service is great as well!!
The matcha con lèche should be viral it’s unbelievable
This is THE SPOT. Every time I go there, I’m greeting with a smile. Everyone there is so welcoming and personable. Moving here 3 months ago, I’m still figuring everything out, but when I get my morning coffee, they make me feel so comfortable and calm. The workers and decor give it a cozy atmosphere, and the coffee is amazing! I initially walked in for the reviews when I googled, but I go back for the reasons they got those reviews. Amazing people and coffee
Nice place to stop for a quick coffee. The iced matcha latte with oat milk was good.
Best empanada I have found since I visited Argentina 25 years ago. Spicy beef mince perfectly seasoned. Would have been actually perfect if it had green olives and chopped egg in it too, but flavour was great, and very affordable.

Lovely little spot right next to the Grand St/Chrystie station. We had the b.l.a.t. & chorizo empanada, and a dirty chai - all delicious.
Amazing coffee!! The lava cake is so good too. Only thing I would change would be I’d love it if they had some vegan pastries, but overall such a wonderful shop!!

Ordered the Cafe con Leche with Cashew milk over ice. Not mind blowing but does it's job. It's not sweetened since there's a self serve section near the register to the right. Not upset about the price ($6.53 after tax) considering we're in Manhattan. Will be back!
Ordered the iced strawberry matcha. Strawberry tastes fresh. Love this.

Delicious 🧊☕️
I only had a cappuccino and it didn't taste great. I was underwhelmed. Hopefully the food tastes better. I also asked what kind of drink a cafecito is and the workers didn't know either which I found a bit weird

Decided to try this cafe located near the opening of the Grand St. subway station. Decor is cute and its cuban inspired menu intrigued me but sadly, it was pretty average if not bad. Ladies were super nice and I want to support them, but it’s really hard to communicate your order if you don’t speak any Spanish/LatAm languages and the person servicing me had a hard time understanding the English names listed on the menu. I had to point my way through it and gesture numbers using my hands. Beyond being hard to communicate, the food is haphazardly thrown together and microwaved with rubbery eggs in the BEC and a bunch of broken plantain chips that came from a bag as a side to the ham and swiss croissant sandwich. Sadly, a mess and for 2 sandwiches coming close to $20+ it was hugely disappointing. I also got the iced matcha con leche and it was so thick and the texture was offputting. No taste of matcha and when asked why it was so thick, they told me the vanilla and cinnamon powder made it thick. They were nice enough to switch out the drink for a normal latte I ordered, but it came hot. Considering I ordered an iced drink and they didn’t ask, I didn’t think I had to explicitly state iced again, but that’s my bad I guess. All in all, really wanted to like this place but with my order coming out to $30+ it was not a great experience.

Matcha with coconut was absolutely the worst I’ve ever had. No matcha flavor, there was like literally 2 sips because too much ice, and it was 7$!!! Never go here.
Too bad service. I’ve been standing here for over 15 minutes waiting to place an order. I asked politely, but they didn’t respond and continued with other tasks.
