Love love love 87 Ludlow. The food is delicious--exactly like an elevated Filipino tapas bar in Manila would be. For pork eaters, the adobo kebab is a must try! Service is excellent and the drinks are good. We were surrounded by couples, so it seems like a great place to go on a date, too. As for me, I'll be coming back with more friends, so we can order more dishes! Haha. Try to checkout Ligaw, the adjoining bar: the eponymous drink is a must-try.
Wow!!! Me and my best friend went here for valentines, the food and service was amazing!!!!!! The octopus was perfect, the short rib divine, crab congee and oysters AMAZING. Definitely coming back to try more😝😝 get their yuzu cava!
I celebrated my 32nd birthday here with 12 of my friends, and it was truly unforgettable! 🥰 Hands down the best filipino restaurant I’ve ever been to 🫶 even my friends said they’ll definitely come back. The food was authentic and flavorful, the service was excellent, and the owners were so kind and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious Filipino food and genuine hospitality! 🇵🇭
The dishes are small, tapas-style, but really delicious. We went as a party of two, and the table felt a bit tiny. It’s probably best to go during happy hour. The staff were friendly and nice, but since it gets busy, you might have to wait a little. I thought it would be a great place to have a birthday party at one of the bigger tables next time. The food was truly amazing!
A must-try—we had the best dining experience in the Lower East Side! They were able to accommodate our friends’ intimate wedding dinner with top-notch dishes and service from their crew. The food satisfied my Asian/Filipino palate. I’ll definitely be back and recommend 87 Ludlow to friends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We came to 87 Ludlow as a group of three and had such a great experience. The food was amazing, and we were lucky to catch their happy hour — the tapas were incredible! The Panang Curry with mussels was our favorite dish. Great vibe, great food, definitely coming back!
We had a group of 22 people dine at the restaurant and the food, atmosphere and staff were all fabulous! Food were reasonably priced and delicious! Our favorite was the adobo with rice, uni palabok, crispy pata, sisig and bone marrow rice but we also had paella, salad and callos which were all very flavorful as well! After dinner we went downstairs to the speak easy lounge which was a perfect ending to our night! Chef Aries, his team and his wife were all very gracious and accommodating to our large group which sometimes can get a little rowdy but they handled us like the pro they are! If you have a large party or even a few friends, do not hesitate to bring them here! I already made a few dates with some friends tp visist the place when I go back to the big Apple from San Diego. Thank you chef Aries and team!
What an amazing time we’ve had. We had a private event at 87 Ludlow and it did not disappoint. The food is amazing, service is top class and the owner Aries and Amanda are just the most beautiful people. Their staff, are very attentive. Cocktails are amazing. And also there’s a speak easy bar in the basement and what an ambiance it has. Very much highly recommended! Till my next return to NYC. Love from London!
If you're looking for a place that consistently delivers flavor, comfort, and great service, Good Food is an easy recommendation. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere—modern décor balanced with a cozy, neighborhood feel.
One of the best restaurants in the Lower East! Chef Aris and team were very attentive on top of serving such really good food. Make sure you try the bone marrow steak fried rice and uni palabok!
An amazing experience, staff were accommodating and attentive with our group. Thank you Amanda and Aries for helping us celebrate and made it intimate. Food tasted very good, nice fusion. Portion met our groups need and even more. Highly recommend to taste all the dishes since they were very tasty.
I had a fantastic experience at 87 Ludlow! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot for a night out. Service was excellent from start to finish; the staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. On top of all that, the quality of the food and drinks was top-notch, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!
We stumbled upon this tapas place and were glad we did! The food was phenomenal. Every single dish was delicious! The Pork belly skewers and mussels are a must! The coconut curry sauce that came with the mussels was so delicious I literally asked for a spoon to finish it. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I wish they had a dessert menu! Other than that it was a fantastic dinner.
Wow...blown away by the Filipino/Spanish fusion! A friend mentioned this spot to my husband and said we had to try it. While I love traditional Filipino food, it's always awesome to see any kind of fusion. They have solid Happy Hour deals so we tried a few items from that menu as well as their regular one. They don't have a full liquor license yet but serve wine and cocktails with shochu or sake. Loved - Pork belly adobo ala plancha: Perfectly cooked with the right amount of flavor! - Oyster sisig: What a great twist on a classic dish! I typically don't eat sisig but I love oysters, so what a great combo for me to dive into sisig. Great portion size and crispiness. - Crab congee: I don't eat congee but I love crab! I'm not obsessed with this dish and feels like what everyone should be eating on a cold day. - Spicy margarita Liked - Boquerones: I love white anchovies and this was just OK for me. It wasn't bad but maybe I hyped it up too much in my head. - Pimientos de padron: I always order a shishito peppers dish and while good, it was as expected. - Chorizo shrimp al ajillo: The chorizo was too sweet for me and the garlic wasn't as strong as I'd like for a shrimp al ajillo. Moreeee garlic please! The bread was also too hard - kind of like croutons.
We absolutely loved our experience here, this was a super fun menu to explore. They are combining Filipino with the merging of Spanish tapas for one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. Great spot for date night or after work dinner and drinks. Here were our menu highlights: 🦪 OYSTER SISIG (a must try dish) 🦐 CHORIZO SHRIMP AL AJILLO ( an absolutely must try dish) 🔥Truffle Scallop Crudo 🥩 BONE MARROW STEAK FRIED RICE
A wonderful new Filipino Spanish tapas bar. The staff were very warm and hospitable and everything we tried was great. If I had to pick, my personal favorites were the bone marrow steak fried rice and the oyster sisig. Very nice espresso martini as well. I will definitely be back!

I had the best birthday experience here! Everyone here is so nice and friendly. Definitely would recommend all my friends to come here and support. Our fav dish is the baby 🦑 it’s so damn good!
I cannot begin to express how incredible my food and dining experience was at 87 Ludlow. From the moment you walk in you are met with a smile and calming environment! The food is brilliantly concocted and the Sangria leaves you wanting more and more! Stop everything you’re doing and head to Ludlow now!
We had the best experience celebrating my birthday here! The team was super accommodating and attentive from start to finish, which made everything feel so seamless and special. The food was amazing across the board (everything we ordered was already so good ) but my absolute favorite was the adobo kebab. Hands down the best thing ever!!! 🤍 So flavorful and perfectly cooked.
Walking into this spot felt like stepping into a warm little pocket where Manila meets Madrid, and honestly, the fusion works so much better than I expected. Service was warm in that very Filipino way—the kind where you feel like a guest rather than a customer—but also polished like a European bistro. My favorite was the Pork Skewered Adobo. Instead of the usual stew-style adobo, they grill the pork until the edges get that perfect little char, then glaze it with a reduction that hits you with all the classic adobo notes—soy, vinegar, garlic—and laid on top of a bed of adobo rice… it was delightful!
My wife and I hosted our post-elopement dinner at 87 Ludlow, and it was the perfect night! Huge kudos to Chef Aris for coordinating with us weeks in advance—for being so patient and attentive to our needs—to the wonderful staff who made sure we were well taken care of, and to everyone behind the scenes who delivered one of the most delicious meals we’ve ever had in NYC. Our guests LOVED everything and are still raving about the chicken kebabs, steak fried rice, pulpo, shrimp gambas, crispy pata, and the uni palabok! We can’t wait to come back!!!
87 Ludlow is lovely Spanish Filipino restaurant. The service and atmosphere were great and the staff were very accommodating. The food overall was fantastic. The rice with blood marrow was delicious and by far the best dish. The only down side was it seemed fairly small. We also ordered the Paella Negra (Paella cooked with squid ink). It was also delicious but similar to the other dish a bit too small.

The bone marrow fried rice was fine. Do NOT get the shishito peppers, it was so spicy that I still have a stomachache 5 hours after leaving the restaurant. This is coming from a person who usually enjoys spicy food. I was feeling dizzy and hyperventilating for 30 minutes because of it. Do NOT get a seat by the wall if you don’t like bugs (a fingernail-sized spider + a tiny bug in the video) on the wall when you eat, which we were told that it’s something they cannot control and it’s like having bugs at your home. The service overall felt very absent and distant; even when I was in visible pain.

I was really excited to try this place — the reviews were great and the menu looked amazing, everything sounded delicious on paper. Unfortunately, it just didn’t deliver. The food was greasy and bland, and the seafood had ZERO flavor AND I’m not exaggerating. Also, Sorry, but boiling rice and tossing in thawed seafood does not make a paella… The only saving grace was the service; the staff were very nice and friendly. I might come back for a drink because of the atmosphere, but I’d avoid the food at all costs
