Delicious and gigantic burritos for around $12. Enough for one and a half meals. Their sauce is also amazing. If you are getting the carne asada, the bowl has more food and is easier to eat than the burrito. Service was quick and we got ours in under 8 minutes. Also sell tacos and nachos. They don't have a lot of inside seating though. We had both carne asada and California chicken burrito and both were phenomenal. The fries in the California burrito were fresh and crispy. You can even see them make it live in front of you.

The burrito joint I’ve been searching the five boroughs looking for and all New Yorkers have been waiting for! As a west coaster I hate to break it to New Yorkers but West Coast is best coast when it comes to burritos and these guys get it. All the California vibes oozing from this joint case in point the Johnny Utah burrito. This place is all about bringing burritos to the East Village and their menu speaks for itself. You can get the classic California burrito with your choice of meat, it’s a good portion size and fair price. It’s hella brand new so support a local joint bringing some West Coast vibes out to the Big Apple!

I’m not a burrito person but @electricburritonyc really was pretty yummy! Who can say no to fries!? (Not the most healthy thing I know…) Tortilla was average but the fries/cheese/sauce/protein combo went really well together😌 Very filling and quite heavy, so even just half of it was enough for me as lunch.

It is very good! Drove from Jersey to a shrimp burrito. Been looking for something similar to Baja Fresh and this is very close. Highly recommend. Don’t forget to get your chips too😊

Unfortunately a 20 dollar burrito is par for the course in Manhattan. However, if you’re gonna get one. I would recommend this. I ordered the cali burrito with beef. And I gotta say. Very flavorful. Beautifully seasoned. I could eat it without salsa and love it but the salsa is a great addition. I recommend. It gets p crowded there so I recommend getting carry out and gobbling up your burrito in a nearby park.

Great place for a burrito! Very small store with stools that face the wall, immediately walking in, what caught my eye was that the meat was super fresh! The guy in there was cutting the meat like it was a butcher and I just knew it would be good just from seeing that and knowing they don’t use frozen meat. I got the Hot Rod + my girlfriend got the Johnny, both were delicious. Coming from a person that eats a lot, the burritos here are huge! Left very full and they were very tasty, I loved the breakfast burrito but next time probably would just get the regular breakfast burrito no bacon, with the hot rod it felt like a lot was in it but it was still great

Good for a new york burrito. It was a little too dry, I got the conga burrito. They should make refried beans less dry, reduce the amount of rice and make sour cream more noticeable I think it is one of the best burrito places in new York but does not compare to a california burrito.

I've been visiting somewhat regularly since they opened and it does feel like quality had declined a bit since the beginning. Tastes drier and not as tightly packed. Still enjoyable occasionally but not the 5 stars it once was.

Usually good, however, I ordered light beans on this Johnny Utah... I think they put extra beans. Spent $19 on this burrito otherwise I wouldn't really care. If I order light beans and spend $19 you should put light beans.

As a California native and local neighbor, I’ve tried a few different burritos here and have been consistently disappointed. The proportions are off –the burritos are massive and there’s an overwhelming amount of each ingredient ( too many bites of straight refried beans). Yesterday I added chorizo and didn’t get a single bite of it until the very bottom. Tried to like this place but I don’t😓 please do better

Maybe I just got unlucky… But this was genuinely the most disappointing burrito I’ve ever had in my life. Every single component of it was so incredibly dry and the entire thing just lacked flavor. The steak was cooked BEYOND well done and was nearly impossible to chew. I ate it there, and somehow the rice and cheese were already cold (the cheese hadn’t melted). The steak wasn’t particularly fresh either. The fries didn’t add anything to the experience either. Considering I paid over $15 for it, I expected something better than what I could get at Taco Bell. This managed to be far worse.

First time I had it months ago it was actually good but the second time the California burrito was horrible. Everything inside was cold. All I tasted was cold cheese and fries with barely any steak. Unfortunately after this disappointment I won’t be coming back. They need to improve their quality control and consistency.
