Excellent service. Very fancy dining experience. Did the bar tasting with 5 courses, it was the perfect amount of food. Besides the fourth course with Chinese broccoli, the food was very tasty and flavorful. The bread/croissant was one of the best I’ve ever had!

A fabulous meal at Eleven Madison Park; all the staff were friendly and attentive, every interaction was meticulous, but never felt pretentious. The food was amazing, each dish well presented, introduced and devoured. This is definitely a once in a life time experience for most people but if you get the chance go for it. You will not be disappointed.

None of the photos I took do this place justice. It is an absolutely divine place to have an experience like no other! The food is elegant and carefully prepared to take your taste buds on an adventure of a lifetime. This is the first Michelin star restaurant we've ever been to, and it really set a standard for fine dining. We didn't know what to expect with a vegan restaurant, and we proudly say we'll come back again and again. Outrageously attentive service and everything feels so special. A real treat!

I went to Eleven Madison Park for my birthday and left with mixed feelings. The service was excellent throughout. Precise, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. I never felt unwelcome, but there was a noticeable corporate and slightly stuffy tone to the room. Everything ran flawlessly, yet the experience felt formal rather than relaxed. One major drawback was pacing. Lunch ran from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, which felt far too long. Especially for a daytime meal, the tempo dragged. Given how much modern fine dining talks about reading the guest and adjusting accordingly, this was surprising. We were ready to move faster, but the meal never picked up. The food was uneven. I chose the scallop, lobster, and duck. The scallop was a clear miss for me and immediately unappealing. The lobster, however, was genuinely good and one of the stronger courses. There was also a dish with noodles in a light broth that I enjoyed more than I expected. The potato cooked in a tagine was interesting in concept but ultimately tasted just fine. The leek salad was engaging, and the collard green dumpling that came with it was solid. I had a strong negative reaction to the duck and could not get through more than a bite. Desserts did not land for me. The ice cream served in a coconut was a miss, and the final chocolate pretzel felt more symbolic than satisfying. We each took a bite and left it behind. The meal did start on a high note. The bread and butter were excellent, simple and deeply satisfying. Another standout was the mocktails. We tried all four and they were exceptional, easily some of the best non alcoholic drinks I have ever had. I am glad I went, particularly for the service and the drinks, but for a birthday lunch at this level, I wanted to feel more engaged by the food and better carried through the experience.

Eleven Madison Park impressed us with its elegant, modern design and impeccable service. As one of the best restaurants in the world, each dish was presented beautifully and tasted incredible. The attention to detail in both flavor and presentation was unmatched. Fun fact: the restaurant holds three Michelin stars and recently switched to a plant-based menu. Another fact: it’s known for its sustainable dining approach. The only downside? It’s a splurge, but the experience, from the food to the atmosphere, made it absolutely unforgettable.

A surprise birthday dinner at 11 Madison Park. And … yes for all those who are vegan, vegetarian and those who are open minded about culinary inventions, do go to this place at least once! What an experience, from the minute you sit down from the bar to the dining table, the service is impeccable, the atmosphere is one of excitement, relaxed and fun at the same time. The wine pairing is amazing. I had the best wines with our meal. The food is simply mind blowing; delicate, decadent, beautifully prepared and presented. You just keep eating and drinking non stop, the dishes just keep coming. Highly highly recommended!!

It was a F A N T A S T I C dining experience. Thanks for this amazing dinner. AMBIENCE: very elegant. A former insurance, a lobby inside this building with high ceilings and a giant blue painting which is in the center of the restaurant. Very elegant atmosphere. SERVICE and KITCHEN STAFF: Impeccable. Exceptional and fantastic. The waiters maintain a very precise order when serving the dishes.. we had the opportunity to be chosen to visit the kitchen and all the staff and the work that goes into creating these culinary creations that are divine. Kitchen was damn clean!! Wow. All the people who work for the chef in the kitchen do an exceptional job. Chef is a genius to create this vegan kitchen. FOOD was truly delicious even though it was vegan and it was our first experience it was a really positive, fantastic experience that I will definitely repeat.

Just about the best restaurant experience I have ever had. I have been to a couple Michelin starred restaurants, however Eleven Madison Park takes the cake! It’s an all vegan Menu and every dish is an experience of its own. My personal favorite was actually the tomato tea with fresh local tomato’s in a type of savory cookie. It was a way of consuming and experiencing the aroma of a tomato I had never had before and absolutely blew my mind. So simple yet so unique and absolutely incredible flavors. The service was perfect. They were very friendly, inviting and relaxed while retaining utmost professionalism with an astonishing attention to detail. All in all, a flawless dining experience, I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The bar team, consisting of Charles, Isaiah, Bowen, and Sebastian, truly exceeded all expectations with their exceptional service. They were not only incredibly attentive but also provided a welcoming and engaging atmosphere that made my experience unforgettable. I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and care, and I’ll definitely be returning for another fantastic visit.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary here, and all I can say is wow! This place was perfect, from the service and presentation to the flavors, drinks, and more. Definitely a must-try, whether you're vegan or not. We loved it!

We were absolutely stunned by the work done in this place, the service was on point, always here to keep everything clean on the table and prepare for next service, keeping the water and drinks always fresh. The ambiance was very New York, jazz music, dimmed lights, cool vibe. And the food was just a delight. We chose the 5 courses dinner and wine pairing, the wine was gorgeous, well chosen, always matched the taste of every course. We were very surprised by how much food we had, and felt like we ate for hours, which we did! Portions were perfect, the presentation was beautiful and not too over the top. The taste was on the salty side but never overpowering the taste of the different flavors in each dish. An experience we would 100% recommend and do again in our lifetime! Edit: we are so so so disappointed in the recent changes made by chef Daniel Hum to reintegrate meat in their menu. It was already an inclusive menu, even for animal eater. This is choice that will have long-lasting impacts, not only on vegans, but mostly on animals… ❤️‍🩹

Dining at Eleven Madison Park was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, providing service that was both professional and personal. Every dish was a masterpiece—beautifully presented, thoughtfully balanced, and bursting with creativity. The tasting menu felt like a story told through flavor, with each course surpassing the last. What stood out most was the team’s attention to detail and their passion for creating a memorable experience. Eleven Madison Park isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of culinary artistry and hospitality at its finest. Impeccable from start to finish.

This was our second trip to Eleven Madison Park and we’re once again completely blown away by the food, the attention to detail, and the way everyone works together like a well oiled machine to make the experience special. We were asked if we wanted to tour to kitchen and were able to see everyone hard at work making everything perfect. Being plant based, it is rare to feel special in a way that isn’t an inconvenience to the chef, the server, and those we are dining with. At Eleven Madison Park we felt free to dine just like everyone else. Plant based food can be high end and exquisite. This restaurant and experience is proof of that.

I'm a meat eater through and through, and while I'm fully aware of the environmental and health benefits of vegetarian/vegan diet, I simply don't know if I could ever give up meat. So when I came to EMP for Valentine's Day weekend, I had tempered expectations. Without question, EMP thoroughly impressed me. Each dish was innovative, savory, and almost made me forget about my meat cravings. The potato and soup in particular were amazing, and the broccolini was a top vegetable dish I've probably had ever. Some were admittedly a bit too salty and heavy, but we were all satisfied and full at the end of the meal. The service is, as most have emphasized, otherworldly: refined and regimented (it surpasses even some of the best I'veseen in Europe), yet friendly and with a personal feel. One of us had to take a call before the start of the meal, and EMP assured us that the kitchen can push back the start of the tasting menu. Genuinely, EMP is one of the most impressive dining experiences I've had. Given its price point and, again, its vegan menu, I understand the skepticism. But it's absolutely worth trying at least once in your life.

The best fine dining experience I’ve ever had. The food is remarkable. I was worried about being hungry, but everything was so tasty and filling. What I like most about a dining experience like this is that they don’t rush you. We were there for 5 hours, and the staff was amazing throughout it all. 10/10, thank you so much to Eleven Madison Park!

Iconic. Deserving of all their accolades. 3 Michelin stars and phenomenal vegan food. I am not vegan and I loved every dish. Their cocktail menu is to die for, incredibly delicious. From the moment you walk in the front door to the moment you leave it’s just an experience to remember. I cannot wait to dine again for a special occasion in the future! Bravo!

Rarely have we found a restaurant with such outstanding food and service. It's amazing that it was all done with only vegan offerings! The mushroom brioche with morel butter and mushroom velouté, the first course, set the standard for the mind-blowing meal to come. With one exception, every course was beautifully presented, interesting to taste, and wonderfully enjoyable. Only the romanesco was disappointing to some of us. For that, we were provided with an extra potato course which was incredible! Our tour of the kitchen was amazing! The servers were fantastic in every way. We all agreed that the experience was worth the high price, and we plan to return when the change in season brings us a brand-new menu!

It was my second visit to Eleven Madison park, this time celebrating my birthday. This is the level to be expected from a three star restaurant! From the atmosphere, to personel, service and food; all of it is above expectations. I can easily say this is the best restaurant i have ever been to! And where else, but in the amazing city of New York. It's a fully vegan (plant based place) and it fascinates me how they were able to draw every possible flavour from vegetables. It is a harmony of taste, with every second discovering a new level of food sensation. Food is creatively served, making it a piece of art. The personnel working are detail oriented, fast, cultural and extremely friendly, giving you a feeling of familiarity, and excluding uptight formal atmosphere. If you want to have a magical experience of a top restaurant this is the place to go. Guarantee you will not feel sorry. For sure this is not the last time I will be coming back.

Incredible dining experience. Food, service and ambiance were all 5 star level. It may seem to have a simple focus- asparagus, mushroom, potato...but every course is elevated in seasoning and cooking techniques to the absolute best asparagus, mushroom, or potato you have ever tasted. I was full by course 6, but ate every bite not wanting to miss any of it. While being very upscale, with exceptional service, the staff was very friendly and personable. Highly recommend this experience, at least once.

Every once in a while a unicorn appears. Eleven Madison Park is that kind of magic. From the stellar service from every single staff member, to the exquisitely prepared plant-based food, this is one of the few NYC fine dining experiences that lives up to it's hype. Maya our server was nothing short of spectacular. She knows her details on each morsel of food as well as the establishment's history. Chloe, the Hospitality Operations Consultant, brought us back into the kitchen for a special Chef Tasting dessert and kitchen tour. Her passion for her field is highly evident. We spent some time with Chef Stefano who is a true artiste. The kitchen was immaculate and run with impressive precision. Even the bartenders Sam and Bowen put on a terrific 'show'. I don't know about you all but when I am paying 'top dollar' for a dining experience I want it to be perfect. Eleven Madison delivers on all fronts and goes way over the top with details such as sending you home with homemade granola for your breakfast. BRAVO TEAM! We are filled with immense gratitude for such a memorable evening. If you are choosing between Michelin Star restaurants do not hesitate. This is the one you want!

Had the absolute best food experience here. The food and meals were absolutely phenomenal. I am incredibly impressed with the quality and flavors of all the dishes here. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. We went for lunch and it was very relaxed and the building it is in was stunning. The service we received we received from Anthony, Josh, Oswaldo was great. They were very informative about the menu, food, ingredients. Chloe gave us a tour of the kitchen and was kind enough to take a photo. They also have a Manhattan cart where they make your drink of choice right there. Isiah was phenomenal and gave us great recommendations on the subtle differences with the ingredients of each drink. They also gave us some fresh made granola as a nice little treat. Definitely will be back when we are in town and absolutely obsessed with this place and what they’ve done.

Honestly, I've been to this restaurant once before, about 3-4 years ago, for my husband's company Christmas party. I remember enjoying the meat that was served back then. So, unaware that the restaurant had become vegetarian, I made a reservation and went again two years ago. I probably wouldn't have gone if I had known it was vegetarian. Anyway, it was still a pleasant experience. Normally, I hardly eat if there's no meat or fish protein, but I seriously considered trying vegetarianism after dining at this restaurant. I still can't forget the clean and pure taste of the food and its heavenly aroma. The most delicious part was the appetizer bread and the butter, it was so amazingly tasty. However, I remember the portions not being a lot. We had beverage pairings, and even after finishing them all, I didn't feel full. I'm not sure if the portions were small, if I was missing meats, or if the food was just too delicious and I wanted to keep eating. After the meal, we got granola from there, which was so delicious that I've been making my own granola since then and eating it every morning. There's no doubt that it's a place influenced my life.

A Culinary Symphony at Eleven Madison Park Stepping into Eleven Madison Park is like crossing a threshold into a world where vegetables become poetry and hospitality feels like an art form. My recent visit with my wife and our children was not only memorable—it was transformative. From the moment we entered, the staff welcomed us with a warmth that immediately set the tone. Many fine dining establishments are hesitant when it comes to hosting young diners, but here, children were not only accepted—they were embraced. That spirit of inclusion echoed throughout the evening, adding an unexpected but deeply appreciated layer to the experience. We chose the five-course plant-based menu, complemented by the optional dessert tasting. What followed was a thoughtful progression of flavors, textures, and imagination—a true symphony on the plate. The meal opened with a potato soup that was deceptively simple at first glance, but as it unfolded, revealed layers of depth, warmth, and complexity. It flirted with spice—not aggressively, but in an aromatic, rounded way that lingered gently on the palate. Next came a dish I can only describe as a celebration of the humble potato. Roasted, fried, and adorned with subtle sweetness, the contrasting textures created an elegant interplay—crispy meets creamy, savory meets sweet. Every element on the plate felt intentional and expertly crafted. The journey continued through a series of main courses where vegetables took center stage—not as supporting actors, but as the stars of the show. The balance of flavors, intensities, and presentations spoke volumes of Chef Daniel Humm’s mastery. Each dish told its own story while contributing to a larger, cohesive narrative. It was a meditation on seasonality, restraint, and creativity. Even though the kids couldn’t quite keep up with every complex flavor profile, the kitchen met them with patience and grace, happily revisiting favorite courses to ensure they too enjoyed the full experience. What makes Eleven Madison Park truly remarkable is not just the food—which is undoubtedly at the cutting edge of plant-based haute cuisine—but the philosophy behind it. It's clear that Chef Humm isn’t simply creating dishes; he’s crafting a new paradigm, where vegetables are elevated without pretense, and where sustainability and flavor walk hand in hand. This is not just a meal. It is a narrative of craftsmanship, hospitality, and vision. Eleven Madison Park is, without question, worth revisiting—again and again. Fun fact: my 8 year old daughter confirms they deserve the three star rating :) haha

A night to remember at Eleven Madison Park — every dish from the chef’s spring tasting menu felt like a love letter to new beginnings. Each course was meticulously crafted with ingredients sourced from their very own farm, capturing the season’s essence in every bite. The service? Impeccable. Every member of the staff wished us personally, the champagne was on the house, and the highlight — a private tour of the iconic 3 Michelin star kitchen where all the magic happens. Grateful, full, and in awe.

I frequented this restaurant when they used to serve meat and thought “how could it still be elevated” and that question was answered! The execution and thoughtfulness in every dish is evident. The waitstaff were all knowledgeable and on point. The kitchen was humming in perfect unison down to the garnish station with tweezers. The fridge previously showcasing duck had a beautiful rainbow of vegetables. Impressive, delicious, beautiful and almost choreographed. I enjoyed every bit of my meal. BRAVO EMP! You’ve done it again.

Went for 5 course lunch and was not sure what to expect with this plant based menu. But it met the quality of food I would expect from a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Standouts being the potato 3 ways and the silken tofu with brussel sprouts. The chocolate and orange dessert course was amazing as well. The service was impeccable. Im very glad I got to experience it and even get a tour of the kitchen

What an experience!! My sister and I went to celebrate her birthday and both chose the 8 course tasting menu. Additionally my sister went with the optional wine pairing- where I not being much of a wine drinker chose the optional non alcoholic drink pairing. By doing it this way, we were also able to sample both sides of the spectrum. That said- I still preferred the non alcoholic selection which offered unique and exotic combination of flavors to accompany each course. Some of my favorites from the selection were the eleven Madison Park green branded bottles (not labeled by name but shown in the pictures below.) The 8 course menu is definitely not for the weak and the overall experience lasted an unforgettable 3 hours to complete-but definitely everything from presentation, service and quality were impeccable-And yes it is vegan but trust me you will not feel like you are missing out on anything. Overall highly recommended the splurge—but see for yourself why have still hold 3 Michelin stars!

Absolutely incredible - a true fusion of art and alchemy. As two vegans visiting from Boston - a city that isn't exactly known for being vegan friendly - my friend and I are constantly on the lookout for exceptional plant-based experiences. When we heard about Eleven Madison Park and it's transition to a fully plant-based menu, we planned a special trip to NYC just to dine there. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn't just a dinner - it was a performance, an experience, and a celebration of culinary creativity. The ingredients were unbelievably fresh and meticulously crafted into dishes where every bite was a perfectly balanced explosion of flavor. The menu was thoughtful and intentional, showing deep respect for both the produce and the dining experience itself. The service was flawless. Truly high end and refined, yet warm and welcoming. The entire staff wore impeccably tailored suits and carried themselves with grace and professionalism. The host at the door greeted us without a computer or a list - every reservation was memorized. No coat tickets were issued either, they somehow knew exactly which coats belonged to which guests. It's these smal, seamless details that elevate the experience into something magical. We were served nine different courses, each by a different server who carefully explained the ingredients, preparation, and even how best to enjoy the dish. The wine was exquisit. To our amazement, the evening ended with a personal tour of the kitchen. It was a surprise gift from them and such an incredible honor. As if that wasn't enough, we were sent off with a small jar of granola and a printed copy of the night's menu - something I had been eagerly hoping to take home. This was, without question, the most perfect dining experience I've ever had. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and already dreaming of the next visit. If you're plant-based, or even if you're not, Eleven Madison Park is a unforgettable curling journey you must experience.

Absolutely one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in my 70+ years of life. The food was exquisite. The wait staff spectacular, non-intrusive but yet able to convey everything on the menu with clarity, the atmosphere was genteel, the music, just perfect, relaxing, and elegant. The surprises included in the menu were delightful.

Having dinner here was an absolute dream. The attention to detail was unparalleled, both in terms of the food and the service. All of the dishes were a marvel of sophisticated and nuanced flavors, with exciting textures and unusual ingredients. The restaurant is as visually stunning as the food, too. An absolute must!

Fantastic fine dining experience. The staff is courteous and attentive, without pretentiousness. Everyone from the waiting staff, sommelier, to food runners were a highlight of the entire experience. The food was good to great. Some courses were top notch while others did not compare to the heights of the laminated bread or maitake mushroom. Their innovation in vegan cuisine is something spectacular even if some dishes were doubles instead of home runs. I would gladly return to experience the dynamic menu. Highly Recommend.

Dining at Eleven Madison Park was an unforgettable experience—one that redefined what plant-based cuisine can be. From start to finish, every element was considered, executed, and delivered with extraordinary care. The food itself was exceptional: beautifully plated, imaginative, and, most importantly, delicious. Each course was a testament to how local, seasonal, and entirely plant-based ingredients can be elevated to the highest levels of fine dining. As someone committed to a vegan diet for reasons of sustainability, health, and animal welfare, I was moved by the restaurant’s conviction that animals need not be part of the equation to create culinary excellence. Service was on par with the cuisine. We were graciously and attentively cared for by the entire team—especially Garrett and Chloe—who made the evening feel personal, educational, and fun without ever being intrusive. Their depth of knowledge and passion for the menu enriched every course. What stood out most, however, was the thoughtfulness. Every detail was considered. Every need anticipated. The team’s understanding of their ingredients and suppliers was impressive, and their willingness to accommodate our pace—staying late so we never felt rushed—was deeply appreciated. It was a once-in-a-lifetime meal that I sincerely hope not to wait a lifetime to experience again.

We have been to EMP several times over the past few years, but have had two meals in the past week. I was actually hesitant to book the first meal, as I had a very underwhelming group dining experience in a private room in January. However, in my opinion after these two meals, EMP is as good as ever. (The first meal was so great that we didn’t hesitate to go back.) Both meals were special occasion meals booked at the last minute (we live in NYC) - one for an anniversary and the other for a birthday. The agility of the EMP team to recognize a special occasion is second to none. Both meals had special extras that were thoughtful and picked up on details mentioned during service. I find the EMP staff to be the perfect mix of down to earth and expert. This is the major leagues of fine dining and they show up like that in how they remember details and in how they move across the dining room. The food is as good as always. The bar tasting is an outstanding value in particular, as it has most of the dishes we like most from the main dining room. While we are primarily plant based, the addition of some proteins seems thoughtful and additive to those looking for a change from the menu of the past few years. I think I admire most that they’ve kept their plant based patisserie - which is most certainly the world’s finest. They seem to always be upping their game here. Bread service and brioche served with dessert are life changing. In summary, EMP deserves its 3 stars and is well worth a trip. Engage with the menu and team and you’ll likely have as a great a time as we have over the past week.

The Legend Falls Eleven Madison Park was once one of the very best restaurants in the world. It held three Michelin stars for years and even reached #1 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2017. Back then, it was my absolute favorite—the food tasted incredible and every meal felt elegant and special. Unfortunately, after the restaurant switched to a plant-based menu, things changed for the worse. We went back twice after the transition, but that original top-tier flavor and experience just never came back. Here, I’m sharing some legendary photos from its glory days, back when meat was still on the menu.

An unforgettable culinary journey. From the moment you walk into Eleven Madison Park, you’re treated to a truly elevated dining experience. The service is flawless, warm, and deeply attentive without being intrusive. Each course is a creative masterpiece beautifully presented, full of flavor, and thoughtfully explained by the staff. The plant based menu is proof that fine dining doesn’t need to rely on animal products to be exceptional. Every dish feels both artistic and deeply satisfying. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just indulging in one of the world’s top culinary destinations, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommended.

I’m constantly amazed by the creativity and beauty of their plant-based menu—rooted in the seasons and completely reimagining what a multi-course meal can be. This isn’t your typical “starter, meat centerpiece, dessert” setup. It’s a thoughtful, artistic journey through flavors, textures, and unexpected delights. I saw another review say “don’t come hungry.” I couldn’t disagree more. I came hungry and left completely full and satisfied. And the staff? Absolutely outstanding. Warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of the experience they’re curating. Truly a special place.

Eleven Madison was surely one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. Of course it was; it has 3 Michelin Stars! The service was unbelievable and each course was fascinating, unique, fun, and enjoyable. Even the granola gift they sent home with us was super good. That being said, you do have to ask yourself whether it's worth the money. No doubt it's a 5 star...heck 10 star...vegan dinner. No doubt we will never forget this experience and have no regrets. Was it worth the price? Was it significantly better than our 1-star Michelin vegan dinner in Milan last year? Maybe not. Given all of this, if you can afford it, go have a great experience and don't worry about the money because at this price there's just not a fair way to analyze the value. It's like Superbowl tickets...surely they can't be worth THAT much money...but it's something you'll never forget.

Eleven Madison Park wasn’t just good for a plant-based restaurant—it was good, period. The tasting menu was both innovative and delicious, with each course more visually stunning than the last. While the savory dishes impressed, what truly stood out were the desserts. You’ll likely remember the sweet courses most vividly, and if you can, I highly recommend trying their signature cake. Was the overall experience worth the cost? Probably not—but I still thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

One of the best meals I’ve had, across food, service and beverage. Loved the inventiveness of some of the dishes, especially the potato, duck and the coconut dessert. Wine pairing is very good as well. Service is attentive and personable. Very blessed to be treated here.

Wow, what an incredible experience! I only wish they were remaining vegan. Even so, there’s no place like it, and it was truly a special night. I loved absolutely everything I tried, and every last thing was unique and an explosion of flavor. The wine tasting menu was amazing, though expensive (but it’s a Michelin star experience, so I guess that’s to be expected). I’m sad they won’t be vegan anymore soon, but I’m glad I got to visit before that happens. Wow, definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

When we went to Eleven Madison Park and ate in the dining room, we were amazed at how special the experience was. Magical was the word we used when talking about it. The food was beautiful. The food was delicious. The wait staff was remarkable. The wait staff not only delivered amazing food, they delivered a theatrical experience. Each delivery of the luscious food and wine was a delightful event. We returned this Saturday February 28th and did a food and wine tasting in the bar. We didn’t know what to expect of the bar experience. It was also a magical evening. Our wait staff made a point of making the evening fun. They made my birthday celebration delightful. To quote a friend that was dining with us, "I have been to Michelin star restaurants in Europe and other cities in the USA, and this one delivers the full experience above the others”. Thank you for a phenomenal experience again.

Eleven Madison Park encompasses the prestige of fine dining without feeling sterile. The dining room is breathtaking and refined, plushly furnished with delicate lustrousness throughout. I indulged in the full tasting menu complemented by champagne to celebrate my 10th Vegan Anniversary, and the experience did not disappoint. Although the menu had abruptly contrasting flavor elements that missed a critical mark of cohesion for me, each dish did present texture and flavor that could hypothetically stand on its own. I felt satiated by both the meal and the value of the experience. The shining star of Eleven Madison Park is the reputation for hospitality, which is evident in every interaction with staff from the front door to the kitchen. I felt like a princess, doted on and catered to, truly valued not only as a guest but as a person. However, I do have to admit that the transition away from an entirely plant-based menu comes as a betrayal to those of us who aim to support vegan establishments. I traveled from Indiana to experience the innovation of the only Three Michelin Star ALL VEGAN restaurant in the world. As Eleven Madison Park regresses into offering animal flesh products once again, the allure of distinction will be lost. I really, really enjoyed my experience, but ethically I do not see myself visiting again for this reason.

Phenomenal. This is truly plant-based dining, elevated. We had the 8-course tasting menu - even though our autumnal menu didn't feature stunts (like liquid nitrogen), there were constant elements of delight. Even though our expectations were sky-high, overall the peaks exceeded our expectations. Course 1: Bread (10/10) - still my favourite thing. Having the bread alone is already delicious - like an onion croissant - but then dipping it in the incredibly savoury broth really transforms it into something mind-blowing, and the garlic butter! With caremalised onion - better than any onion jam you've had. Such pure delicious alliums. A spectacular three-in-one. Course 2: Leeks & dumpling (8/10) - the dumpling is so surprisingly savoury and complex, perhaps the most umami fish of the night. It alone is my second-favourite part of the night The leek salad is OK - the vinaigrette brings an important sweetness, but overall still too acidic for my tastes. Course 3: sunflower hearts + petal w/ bean puree (6/10) - the bean puree is the best part of this, surprisingly light and herbal but savoury. But I was underwhelmed by the sunflower hearts, although the petals are nicely spiced. Course 4: tempura eggplant (8/10) - a medley of textures with the creamy eggplant and the right amount of crunch from the barely-there batter. The sweet neutrality of the eggplant is a perfect foundation for the extreme savoriness of the topping, and the splash of date and chili is so well-done. Extremely well balanced. Course 5: silken tofu (6.5/10) / curry squash (8/10) - the curry sauce of the squash dish is truly the star. The silken tofu curry is a bit too acidic, whereas the sweetness of the squash plays very well with the galangal-forward, deeply savoury curry. Course 6: confit potato w/ lentil cream & 'caviar' and potato puree (7.5/10) the confit potato is soo soft. The cream is dessert-like and surprising, but a beautiful complement to the caviar. The mushroom powder atop the potato is also much-needed and delicious. Course 7: pobalo pepper w/ masa + seitan & corn (7.5/10) / maitake mushroom (6.5/10) - the poblano pepper is very well-balanced, with the masa helping the slightly-acidic, moreish sauce shine and tone down the intensity. The corn is a surprising hit of acidity and, of course, sweetness - overall a delightful dish. The maitake mushroom w/ mushroom puree is unfortunately too intense for me, with extreme savoriness, but my partner loved it. Course 8: 'cheesecake' with seasonal berries & sorbet (7/10) - this is an interesting deconstructed cheesecake, with most of that flavour residing in a thin cream rim around what is basically cream and sorbet. Still, the berries are beautiful and it's a nice fresh ending. We also got chocolate pretzels as a finisher and, of course, the granola. Overall a truly delighting experience. We have to come back despite the steep price tag!

First heard about the restaurant back in 2017, when it took the No. 1 spot on World’s 50 Best. Didn’t know much about fine dining back then, but even so, it immediately landed on my bucket list. Then EMP went fully vegan. My friends and I hesitated. I love great plant-based cooking, but at that price point, it’s a gamble. Still, after reading Will Guidara’s Unreasonable Hospitality and hearing about the recent change (back to MEAT), I finally pulled the trigger. Food-wise, it wasn’t the most extraordinary tasting menu I’ve had. But the hospitality. The best I’ve experienced in the U.S. The menu was still a vegan–meat hybrid, with only three non-vegan options available to swap in: scallop ceviche, poached lobster, and honey lavender duck. In hindsight, that mix was probably what made the experience feel more special than a fully vegan menu would have. A completely plant-based lineup can be impressive, but the flavor spectrum is inevitably narrower. Some dishes, like the leek and mushroom dumplings, felt more like attempts to mimic non-vegan flavors than to embrace their own ingredients. Interesting, but not particularly moving. Yet, three of the vegan dishes ended up being my favs. The meat courses were great, but didn’t reach that same level of nuance or impact. At most fine dining restaurants of this caliber, a tasting menu starts with something small and delicate (usually amuse bouche). EMP did the opposite. They opened with a loaf of vegan laminated bread, onion butter, and a roasted allium & leek broth. It’s almost a full meal’s worth of food right out of the gate, but honestly, I couldn’t complain. The bread was incredible. Flaky, layered, almost too buttery for being vegan. The onion butter added savory & subtly sweet, and somehow so satisfying that it felt like eating a full sandwich without the heavy toppings. The allium broth tied it all together with deeper roasted notes, echoing the same flavors in a more concentrated form (it kind of smelled like a really rich pho broth). Borderline excessive, but impossible not to finish. Soba – Wasn’t sold on the first couple of bites, but the dish unfolded in layers I’d never experienced in a cold soba before. Growing up, I had countless versions of cold buckwheat soba, and the texture was always the whole story (since buckwheat itself is notoriously tricky to work with). Here, the noodles were spot-on. Firm, no hint of mushiness. But what surprised me was how each slurp carried a different dimension. The first was sharp and refreshing with pure tomato water. Then came the herbal aroma of Thai basil. Another bite leaned nutty, with roasted sesame seeds releasing just enough crunch and warmth. It felt almost engineered as if each element was portioned to create a rhythm between acidity, fragrance, and nuttiness. The sesame note in particular was addictive, and it felt like they precisely halved the sesame seeds to release more of that aroma while maintaining that crunch. Potato – This ended up being my favorite dish. Potato in multiple forms (purée, smoked and crisped, and powdered) and crowned with a generous spoon of “land caviar.” The tonburi seeds had that same satisfying pop as tobiko, but instead of their usual broccoli-like flavor, they were infused with sea grapes, bringing a subtle oceanic umami. A reinterpretation of the classic potato and caviar pairing that actually made sense. Honey Lavender Duck – I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t the dish I was most excited for. The duck breast was beautifully cooked, with a perfect ratio of tender meat, fat, and crisped skin. But despite the name, the honey and lavender never really showed up. I caught them in the first few bites before the Sichuan peppercorns on top muscled in and took over. Technically flawless duck, just not the honey-lavender balance I was hoping for.

Visiting New York and going to this restaurant was a dream of mine as soon as I found out they were making the entire menu vegan 💚 It's a shame they're switching back to a meat-based menu, but I'm glad I made it in time. The service was very nice and professional. The food was amazing and they even prepared a gluten-free menu for me so I could enjoy the food too. We had a reservation in advance, so they already knew about us and had a table ready 🙂. It was literally a dream come true, and at the end we even received a little gift as a thank you ❤️ It was pleasure, thank you so much for a wonderfull time and great, delicious meal. 🥹❤️

EMP has been a bucket list restaurant for me for quite a long time. Being all vegan made it even more interesting because I didn't know what to expect. I believe this place definitely deserves their 3 Michelin stars. This is the best food I've ever had! Everything tasted so fresh and the flavors worked extremely well with each other. The service was the best I've ever had. If you're thinking about dining here, stop thinking about it, you have to try this!

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Eleven Madison Park, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. I first discovered the restaurant through Will Guidara’s book Unreasonable Hospitality, and it truly lived up to everything he wrote about. From the moment we walked in, every detail — the service, the ambiance, and the creativity behind each course — felt intentional and heartfelt. The plant-based menu was beautifully crafted, and the team made us feel genuinely special throughout the evening. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a celebration of care, thoughtfulness, and everything great hospitality should be.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable dining experience at Eleven Madison Park! From the moment I walked in, everything felt meticulously crafted — elegant yet welcoming. The service was beyond exceptional: attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every course was a piece of art, balancing creativity with flavor in a way that only Eleven Madison Park can achieve. What impressed me most was the restaurant’s commitment to plant-based cuisine without sacrificing luxury or depth. Each dish told a story — from the delicate textures to the thoughtful plating — and the flavors were bold, surprising, and deeply satisfying. The wine pairings elevated the experience even further. The atmosphere is serene and sophisticated, with every detail designed to enhance the meal. By the end of the evening, it didn’t feel like just dinner; it felt like being part of a masterpiece. A particularly memorable highlight was being personally invited into the kitchen — an extraordinary gesture that offered a glimpse into the artistry and discipline behind each creation. The team’s professionalism and passion were unmistakable, making the experience even more inspiring. If you’re looking for an experience that’s both inspiring and indulgent, Eleven Madison Park is truly one of the world’s finest.

Incredible incredible incredible evening. Best Dinner in a decade. Went here for my 5th wedding anniversary and my wife and I were floored by all the surprise and delights. We had both read “unreasonable hospitality”, so we were familiar with the vision of the space. but it blew away every expectation we had. Huge thanks to our amazing server Kalem Scott, Marina our greeter and Chloe our Kitchen Tour guide that showed us behind the scenes. Book a reservation here as soon as you can. They pull out all the stops. We even got to meet Chef Daniel Humm.

If ever a plant-based restaurant deserved 6 stars, it's Eleven Madison Park. They proved that you don't need to serve animal products as part of the very best dining experiences. This review is written after the announcement that they're soon returning to serving animal products as part of the menu but before they've made this transition. It was difficult deciding how to write and frame this review given the recent announcement made after we made and pre-paid our reservation, but in the end we're reviewing the restaurant as visited based on what we experienced. We hope that reviews like ours will help convince the management that the plant-based tasting should at least remain the default option, as it's a great shame to lose what the restaurant represents (or represented). Having the plant-based menu as the default, while offering optional omnivorous swaps to secure the bookings they need to remain in business, would be an acceptable compromise in our opinion (as we believe it's better for a place like this to exist and provide a plant-based experience than not at all). It's easy to condemn a restaurant that serves an omnivorous customer base, and in an ideal world we would all be plant-based, but with the closures of so many vegan restaurants in both the UK and US (one even closed its doors between the planning stage and the trip itself), we think it's better that vegan dining experiences exist alongside options we wouldn't have if that's the genuine difference between closure and staying afloat. That said, the experience we had was second to none. We booked the full tasting menu and added a cake to the booking. We also opted for the non-alcoholic pairing to go with the tasting (not selectable at booking but possible to request at the restaurant). We were emailed ahead of time to ask if we needed any accommodations or if we were celebrating any special occasions, and we'd let them know that we were coming as a joint honeymoon highlight/30th birthday meal. The restaurant gave us personalised, hand-written cards in reference to both shortly after we were taken to our table, and the staff were extremely friendly and outwardly interested in our trip. I cannot understate how excellent the service staff were. We're not used to Michelin-star level service (it's difficult to find it at all if you're vegan), but it blew every possible expectation out of the water, especially as we're used to the less personal, less enthusiastic service of the UK. Every single member of staff that we spoke to or were served by was warm, knowledgeable, courteous and really made us feel special. The food was without doubt the greatest meal we've ever eaten. Every single course was an exercise in brilliance, from presentation to flavour. Pictured are some highlights, but some elements/dishes weren't photographed. The non-alcoholic pairings were undoubtedly a great choice, as it was explained that every one was prepared on-site in partnership with the chefs to ensure that each paired and complemented the course it was served with. Primarily consisting of the juice of a grape varietal traditionally used in wine, each one was imbued with aromatics, spices and infusions to shape the taste exactly to go alongside each course seamlessly. Every single thing we ate and drank tasted amazing, ranging from in-your-face flavours to more subtly elegant dishes. Every single course and pairing was explained by the staff, which really added to the experience. One particular highlight was the preparation table-side of the smoked hasselback potato, tonburi 'land caviar', pomme purée, seaweed cream and chive blossoms. The service staff assembled the dish in front of us, walking through it while demonstrating excellent quenelle technique. To close out, we had a coffee and a tea (for which the staff were more than happy to walk us through the options and their own recommendations) and the prepaid cake, which, before it was served, was presented with a birthday candle for us to take photos if we wished. A once-in-a-lifetime experience we will never forget.

Fine dining at its peak of perfection. This place is a 10/10. One of the most creative meals we’ve ever had utilizing ingredients that could be thought of as “plain” but executed with absolute perfection. Especially when you consider a majority of the meal is still plant based. Favorite bite of the night…The land caviar

Came here for a birthday celebration! It was amazing! The staff was so on point, I didn’t even know when they were refilling my glass with water. So happy there is Meat on the menu again! The team was great, they work so well together. It was an army there! A shout out to Brandon. And the staff member that heard me when I said “oh I would love another one of those” then there it was another one! We will be back for the next menu

Our evening at Eleven Madison Park was, without question, the most beautiful gastronomic experience of my life. We chose the eight-course tasting menu, and each course offered a unique and extraordinary expression of flavor. It’s truly difficult to name a favorite dish, every plate was exceptional in its own way. Beyond the sheer joy our palates experienced, the service was absolutely impeccable. Thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind, the entire team made us feel deeply welcomed throughout the evening. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a memorable and unforgettable night.

Eleven Madison Park redefined what fine dining means in New York and then redefined it again when they went fully plant-based. Daniel Humm took one of the most celebrated tasting menus in the world and rebuilt it from scratch without animal products and somehow made it even more creative. The multi-course experience is a journey through technique presentation and flavor that challenges everything you think you know about vegetables grains and fruits. Each course arrives like a small piece of art and tastes even better than it looks. The sunflower butter with sourdough bread is so good that it could be the entire meal and you would leave satisfied. The dining room overlooking Madison Square Park is one of the most beautiful restaurant spaces in the city high ceilings natural light and an energy that is both serious and joyful. The service is beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere every member of the team is knowledgeable passionate and genuinely invested in your experience. They explain each dish with enthusiasm that is contagious. The wine and beverage pairings are inventive and perfectly matched. This is a restaurant that asks you to trust the kitchen and rewards that trust completely. Whether you agree with the plant-based direction or not you cannot deny the ambition and execution. Eleven Madison Park is not just a restaurant it is a statement about what food can be when creativity has no ceiling.

Likely the most amazing dinner you'll have. Every course was to die for; the staff was beyond perfect. Do not fear, carnivores, their vegan items will astound and delight you! There's a few courses where you have the choice between a plant-based dish like the rest of the menu and an animal protein dish. We got both, and though the animal proteins were still amazing, I felt the plant based dishes stacked up slightly better.

In life, you rarely get the opportunity to go to Eleven Madison Park. When you do, you arrive excited, thrilled, and very curious about what to expect, maybe even a little stressed by the whole fine-dining scene and such elevated service. Sometimes you wonder if this world is really for you. But honestly, from the moment I stepped inside and sat down, everything changed. The service, the food—everything was exquisite. The entire staff seemed to know everything about everyone. It was truly impressive. It was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had in my life, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation and its Three Michelin Stars. So kudos to the entire team, huge respect to all of you. I also loved the selection of cutlery and silverware. Beautiful pieces, excellent products, perfectly polished, and clearly chosen with great care. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Daniel Humm and Eleven Madison Park have long been on my personal culinary to-do list, and during our honeymoon the moment finally arrived. On our second evening in New York, despite feeling the effects of jet lag, we were incredibly excited for the night—and we were not disappointed. The entire team was aware that we had just gotten married and were celebrating our honeymoon, which made the experience feel even more personal and special. The food was exceptional, with the dessert in particular truly standing out and leaving a lasting impression. From the warm welcome to the impeccable service until the very end, everything was flawless. We were even invited into the kitchen for a behind-the-scenes glimpse, where we were surprised with a small snack after dessert. Afterwards, we were able to end the evening at a private table, enjoying the moment and reflecting on a truly magical experience. Thank you for an unforgettable evening and for the thoughtful little gift at the end—it meant a great deal to us.

Hands down this is one of the best food experiences I’ve probably ever had in my life. The venue is beautiful, the service was almost too good, and the food alone would have made the trip to NYCz worth it. This place is sort of magical. From the moment you enter through the revolving doors you can feel a buzz or energy throughout the restaurant. I truly believe this feeling has to do with the fact every single person cared deeply about what they were doing down to the smallest of details. In some ways this place might have ruined me because I might be forever let down in the future by other restaurants. I won’t drone on about the specifics of the food. There’s enough of those reviews already on here (scroll up or down if that’s what you’re looking for). The food was mind blowing…I hate peas and yet the pea dish was one of my favorite out of the whole tasting menu. That’s how talented this place is, they got to me like a vegetable I haven’t liked my entire life. I feel like that says it all.

I've been to about 50 Michelin star Restaurants and this was one of the best restaurants I've dined in. It is the best vegetarian restaurant in the world. But one thing that sets this restaurant apart is the staff go above and beyond for the people that dine at their restaurant. I was visiting New York for Pokemon Go Fest 2025 and I told my server. She went out of her way to contact a graphic designer who created a one of a kind Pokemon card with Gengar commemorating my time with a special message from Eleven Madison Park. I also got a nice tour of the kitchen as well. The dishes and presentation was amazing. The best vegetarian dishes I've had in my life. So happy I visited and this restaurant made my Pokemon Go Fest so much more special! Thank you for your kindness and it was a World Class Dining Experience. The restaurant is beautiful. I write this review from the, arguably, unfair perspective of having spent hundreds of dollars for a full tasting before I even walked through the doors. I expected to be blown away by the best bite(s) of my life, but unfortunately that did not happen. The technique was exquisite and perfectly executed, I'm sure, but there was nothing I would go out of my way to order again. I also expected more color, but the dishes were mostly brown and green. I should also add that I can't stand mint and dill in my food, and one dish was heavy on mint and dill. I also would have liked a menu, so I knew exactly what I was eating. (We were informed in real time, but I later forgot.) The desserts were the most delectable part of the experience. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the dish with the Japanese seeds (again, I would be more precise, but I have no menu to reference) was very complex, a flavor combination I had never tasted before. The udon noodles and artichoke tart were also delicious. One of our drinks had an acidic, off-putting taste. It was removed from the table, but I'm not sure about the bill because I didn't get an itemized bill. Service was phenomenal.

Wait time in between courses was a bit slow, might’ve been because we had a late booking at 9:45 - got seated at 10pm and dinner ended at 1 am. Standouts were the avocado dish, the potato soup, and maitake mushroom for me! They were amazingg. I wished there were more standouts tbh for how much the tasting menu is. Overall very nice experience though.

I came to Eleven Madison before they went vegan, but it was not too impressive. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but did not stand out among other fine dining restaurants to me. I was surprised they went vegan and still got Michelin stars, so I decided to come again. Wow, what a huge difference! And it was actually very good! All the dishes are very flavorful and fresh. I can see they are Asian-inspired, but not on the oily or spicy side, more on the clean and comforting side. But to be honest, there was about 20 minutes wait without any food on the table between dishes, and it was kind of awkward and weird because I could tell the waiters were trying to avoid our eyes. Overall, it was a very good meal. I will definitely come back again.

Came with very high expectations that were not met. The food was good and some courses great (e.g., the squash curry). Wished that they would have had more non vegan option, for example the potato dish, which was great, could have done some nice salty caviar instead of the “cavalier of the land” they used. But overall the food was good and didn’t disappoint. What was disappointing was the service. After a cocktail at the beginning I got a glass of white wine ans told the waiter i would like to switch to red for the final main course. While the final course came, nobody ever followed up with me regarding another glass of wine, till I was halfway done with the course. Lastly we ordered a tea for the dessert course, that we never got - when informed the restaurant apologized and didn’t charge us for any drinks. Which was a nice gesture. Overall we just expected more due to our high expectations. We still had a good time, but coming here again might not be a priority for us.

First experience at EMP. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We opted for the 5 course bar seating as we only had a couple of hours to devote to this. The meal started out strong, but left something to be desire. The food was pretty good, but with the accolades and price point we were really expecting exquisite. This is why we gave it 4 stars rather than 5. The ambiance, the service, and the wine pairing were top notch. They even brought my wife and I back to tour the kitchen as it was our anniversary which was a wonderful surprise. We'll likely try it again, but after giving some of the other restaurants with 3 Michelin stars a shot.

Dining at Eleven Madison Park is always a unique experience. Although the vegan food did not impress, the staff were amazing and the atmosphere romantic, even though there were constant movement of staff since we sat close to the Kitchen opening. I have to say that we expected way more of the food of a 3 Stars Michlen restaurant. Except the Avocado and the fried Mushrooms, most of the food tasted similar and there wasn't even once that we were wowed by the food. I don't think this experience is worth the money, unfortunately.

I recently visited Eleven Madison Park and overall, I really enjoyed the experience—but fair warning: this is not the place to go if you’re hungry. The portions are more about art than appetite, but if you’re someone who appreciates beautifully plated dishes and thoughtful presentation, you’ll be in heaven. Each plate looks like it belongs in a magazine spread—elegant, minimal, and designed to spark conversation. It’s the kind of spot where, if you were playing host to a visiting friend or trying to impress someone, you’d definitely earn style points. One of the most special touches is that many of the vegetables come straight from their own farm in Upstate New York, which you can actually taste in the freshness and quality of each bite. The flavors are clean and delicate, more about quality than quantity. Bottom line: if you’re craving a visually stunning dining experience with farm-fresh ingredients and a refined vibe, 11 Mesa Park is worth a visit—just grab a snack beforehand.

For a 3-Michelin star restaurant I expected more. I don't know if it's because we had the 5-course menu, but we sat at the bar, which was darker than the other part of the restaurant. The food was very good, but I didn't think it was exceptionally better than a 2-Michelin star restaurant. And considering everything, food, ambiance, and service, I didn't feel like I had had "the experience". Finally, we received that little gift at the end of dinner with ingredients that my husband is allergic to, even though it was mentioned at the beginning of dinner. Overall, I've had better experiences in many other 2-Michelin star restaurants.

I really wanted to give this five stars. I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant ever since my company read Unreasonably Hospitality. Although the atmosphere and service were out of this world, the food was lacking for anyone non-vegan. I went in with an open mind, but I couldn’t help thinking of how several dishes would have been improved with animal protein. I will come back if they reconsider the menu to include some meat selections.

We really enjoyed our experience at Eleven Madison Park. We got there just before they opened at 5p so we could grab bar seats without a reservation so we could try the drinks and food without paying for the whole prix fixe dinner. The drinks we got were all phenomenal (2 cocktails, a mocktail, and then they kindly let me wife try several wines until she found one she liked). Service was generally excellent and they were fun and patient in helping us navigate the menu. At one point we'd been waiting for several minutes with empty glasses and plates trying to get someone's attention (but they seemed really busy and focused) but eventually they did get back to us. Still great service overall but I guess I expected someone to always be keeping tabs on us. The radish variations dish and red curry dish were both delicious, although neither felt so amazing to justify the price:size ratio to us. Definitely enjoyable, but for example the red curry wasn't much different than what you'd get at a good Thai place but much less. Overall I'd recommend people try out the bar for the drinks and the service but we wouldn't return for the food (even though we appreciate having fancy vegan options).

I went here after years of anticipation for a chef’s experience birthday dinner. There were some really nice touches like the house made granola he gave me as a gift at the end but overall compared to other restaurants it was a little underwhelming. I usually keep Halal and I know that 11 Madison Park has gone entirely plant based and while The creativity was impressive, I found sunflower butter to be a tad bit overused. There was also a conspicuous lack of abuse bouches relative to their peer restaurants in the city and around the world in the La grande table du monde league. The service was Michelin level in terms of being attentive without being obstructive and invasive. I appreciated the tagin inspired potato and the “ land caviar” they have been featuring heavily called “tonburi”. The eggplant fritter with the chilli jam was my favorite along with the global rotation of flavors in each dish. The original dessert with berries and cream was remarkable, but the chocolate that I ordered left something to be desired. The mocktail’s definitely delivered as did the tea and the croissant. I will probably come back for the lounge but stick to à la carte..

Service was honestly a little slow, we came for the collaboration menu with Central (from Peru), execution was excellent but we found ourselves sitting there waiting for our food a lot of times. Bread was delicious and so was the butter.

EMP has been on my bucket list for a long time. When I found out they were featuring meat courses again, I was ecstatic because we happen to be in town. I was lucky enough to grab one of their bar tasting menu reservations. We’ve had the privilege to dine at many Worlds Best and Michelin starred restaurants around the world, so I had extremely high hopes. The courses were good, but nothing really wowed me. I wish they offered less vegan courses. Since we do not drink alcohol, I was surprised to see a non-alcoholic wine pairing. I opted for it ($135) bc I was intrigued, but I would not get it again. The white pairings were delicious, but the red pairings all tasted sour and left a bad aftertaste. I only had a sip. Service was exceptional, I did not expect anything less. For the price, I would rather go to Per Se or Le Bernardin.

It’s been a couple of months since our visit to Eleven Madison Park, and it’s still bothering us enough that we felt we had to share our experience. We accidentally booked the wrong time slot. 10:45PM—for our 5-year anniversary, which also happened to fall on Valentine’s Day weekend. We realized the mistake immediately and called the next day, hoping to change or cancel. We explained it was a special occasion and asked for flexibility, but were told the deposit was non-refundable and that we should “try something new.” Eventually, they moved us up by just 30 minutes to 10:15 PM. Not exactly accommodating, especially considering we had made it clear that our typical dining time was around 7 or 8 PM. When we arrived, 10 minutes early, we were seated off to the side with other couples. No water, no cocktail menu, no welcome, no “happy anniversary.” It didn’t feel luxurious, which is disappointing for a restaurant of this level. It was just awkward. When we were finally seated, one of the staff wore a face mask the entire time. While we understand the importance of health and safety, it felt impersonal in such an intimate setting. It made it harder to connect, especially since that staff member felt uncomfortable and rushed through the first interactions. We were asked what we wanted to drink within a few minutes of sitting, without any introduction to the meal or the wine list. We asked to understand the food before choosing wine, but the server launched into a detailed explanation of every dish, which wasn’t what we were looking for. We didn’t want a full breakdown of the 10-course menu—we just wanted a general overview so we could pick a wine that paired well. Thankfully, the sommelier was a bright spot—she was warm, helpful, and nailed the pairing based on our budget and preferences. The food itself was good, but not exceptional for the price. Some of the dishes, like the tofu with mushrooms, felt too humble for the fine dining price tag. We know winter isn’t the easiest season for fresh produce, but we didn’t feel like we got the best version of the menu that evening. It was a lot of potatoes and mushrooms—nothing that really surprised us or elevated the ingredients in a memorable way. Also noting that after our dinner we checked Instagram and found that online the dishes were explained much better, with so many crucial details that were missed in many of the in-person interactions. A lot of the food runners felt new and for that reason didn’t entirely know the menu, and rushed through the explanations. That said, we did have one standout moment. We casually mentioned that we were feeling warm, and almost instantly, we felt a breeze. A server had overheard and adjusted something behind the scenes without saying a word. That kind of attentiveness is what we had hoped the rest of the experience would reflect. All in all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime splurge that didn’t feel worth it. For the price, reputation, and occasion, we walked away disappointed and wishing we’d celebrated somewhere else.

EMP has been on my list of places to go for a very long time, mostly due to my curiosity of whether it would be a life-changing experience. While it was a life-changing experience, it wasn't in a good way. It changed my life in that now, about once a week, I think about how much I regret having gone to EMP. I wish I could go back and stop my past self from making the reservation. The interior: First, the interior was clean but nothing spectacular or awe-inspiring. In fact, it felt very outdated and bland. The service: The service, which everyone seems to rave about in reviews, was certainly higher quality, as one would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Yet, as someone who has studied and worked in hospitality, I wasn't super impressed. It felt very stiff and corporate, almost burdensome at times because I felt like they were watching us like hawks to clean up any mess made on the table or to refill our water glasses every other minute, as it constantly felt disruptive during my date with my husband. Other than their attentiveness to those minute details, I didn't feel any genuine hospitality, friendliness, or warmth from the servers. However, I did notice that those same waiters treated the guests at the table next to us with that warmth and welcome I was hoping to experience. The food: I really tried to convince both my husband and myself the entire time that the vegan food was worth the price because of its design and uniqueness. The first couple dishes that we started off with were impressive but it only got progressively worse. One dish in particular that had some decoratively placed spinach on the side seemed almost like a mockery. The only "meaty" dish which included mushroom was not even seasoned properly and overly salty I couldn't finish it. The server did notice this and offered to ask the chef to remake the dish so I accepted. Unfortunately, it was just as salty and I was unable to consume it because every bite felt like a spoonful of salt. Not only that, but every dish started to taste the same... the same flavor of acidity. The desserts were good, but not good enough for me to constantly think about. The chocolate peanut pretzels that everyone raved about were literally just ok. Additional notes: The entire course lunch took about 4-5 hours and by the end, my husband and I were exhausted and bored. Sure, they don't rush you out and take their time with serving and letting their guests soak everything in. But at a certain point, I felt like we were waiting too long in between meals, perhaps as a way to make guests feel more full. But by the end, I just wanted to go home and take a nap. Also, based on reviews as well as actually witnessing this in person while we were there, I noticed that many guests were invited to tour the kitchen. We saw many guests being led in for a tour. Not sure if there's a special reason some guests get asked to do a tour, but we were not asked once and it was honestly the cherry on top to make EMP one hell of a disappointing experience. Someday, I'll get over it and stop thinking about how much I regret spending my money and time here. But until then, it'll be my roman empire, something I think of at least once a week. Ugh

Been to a two Michelin star vegetarian/vegan restaurant and it was better than this. Service between courses was extremely slow, waiter did not bother to converse with me while he had elaborate conversations with the tables around me. The dishes objectively did not taste good although beautiful in presentation. Did the cheapest course and after tip it was $300. Would not recommend and was not worth the price :(

Okay, here it is…After spending the money we did, I would love to say we loved it, but that's not the case. The hospitality is wonderful. The food is good but the level of salt made it very difficult to enjoy it. We wish we knew ahead of time that the salt was the main ingredient we would have asked to hold it 1/2 way. We loved many dishes but could not enjoy them fully due to that. It mad us sad. We waited a long time to go due to $$$$. I wish I could go back and ask to hold the salt to actually enjoy it. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending.

Beautiful restaurant, very friendly staff, amazing food, but lacks innovation. As someone who's been primarily plant based for the last 15~ years and has dined at many Michelin restaurants, I was pretty let down. The dishes were all good flavor wise, but they weren't anything to write home about nor were they anything special that wouldn't be served at any other high end restaurant. I think what marks a truly good vegan restaurant is the ability to manipulate vegan proteins, as you do have to be incredibly innovative and have extensive vegan AND nonvegan knowledge to do this in a way that is tasteful to the general population. There were 0 protein-based courses; but don't believe the stigma about vegans not eating protein!! I aim for 100g a day and hit it easily most days. While I'm not going to Michelin restaurants for nutritional content, creating at least one unique protein-rich dish is what I fully expected and was most let down about. Everyone left dinner varying levels of satiated, but within an hour we were all joking about stopping by Chinatown or a bodega for some protein. The second hardest category to manipulate, imo, is vegan desserts/baked goods. While the first course of bread was incredible (my 2nd favorite course, right behind the artichoke heart), they really dropped the ball by serving mochi sorbet and strawberries with koji cream. I have a running joke that anytime I go to a restaurant if their only vegan dessert option is sorbet or sorbet-adjacent they get docked a star. A sorbet based dessert is such a cop-out and incredibly overdone by subpar restaurants that just want to advertise that they accommodate to vegans. A truly good vegan-friendly restaurant would be able to come up with something a bit more complicated like a baked food/pastry/composed dish that isn't just fruit + a dip or frozen fruit. A phenomenal example of this is Uchi, which consistently comes up with very unique vegan desserts as well as other composed dishes despite not even being on most vegans radar. Additionally, Joel Robuchon, Wana Yook, L'Atelier, Restaurant Story, and a few other Michelin restaurants were all able to offer incredible, one of kind vegan dessert courses despite not typically catering to plant based diets whatsoever. All-in-all, I'm extremely grateful for the experience and opportunity to dine here, but I would explore one of the many other Michelin restaurants in the city before choosing to come back to 11 Madison again, and saying that as someone who follows a vegan diet most days feels wrong. As the only 3-star vegan Michelin restaurant, I feel there's a level of responsibility to uphold higher standards for vegan dining, and they really have not done veganism justice here.

I came here with my husband for a 7:45pm dinner on an extraordinarily hot day in late June. We made the reservation 28 days prior to the actual event. I had been wanting to try this restaurant so I was saving it for a special occasion (milestone birthday). The space is beautiful and very spacious; but almost so expansive that it felt kind of cold. I felt like I was in the restaurant of a nice hotel in downtown Chicago; not at one of the most famous restaurants in one of Manhattan’s most popular neighborhoods. The restaurant seemed about 65% full when we sat down and slowly got more empty. We were greeted very promptly by various members of the staff. I don’t think we had a primary server but that was never made clear to us either way. About 25 minutes into the experience I asked “could we please get some more insight into the experience we will be receiving?” And at that point one of the servers walked us through the tasting menu. Overall, the service and staff is very good but maybe a little cold. We were at the restaurant for almost three hours. We received eight savory courses and one sweet course. Was the food good, fresh, and unique? Yes. Did the food blow me away based on the hype of the restaurant, reviews, and price of the meal? Absolutely not. The tasting menu plus a few drinks per person was almost $1,200 with tip. While the portion sizes of each course are small, we left very much full. I would likely not come back to this restaurant unless someone else was paying.

Huge disappointment. Visited the week that they started serving meat back in October. Their vegetarian dishes were great but the protein or the meat courses were a huge disappointment. They were bland, not enough flavor and overcooked. They also served soba which tasted like any regular soba you can get for $15 in the city. For Michelin 3 stars, a huge disappointment. Will not recommend.

The dining experience at Eleven Madison was ultimately a rollercoaster of highs and lows. The service is the peak, with staff members anticipating patrons’ needs and attending to the finest of details. The food however, was seemingly not as intentional. There was an incessant tug of war between captivating and unimpressive dishes. Also, the pacing between courses was tedious—amounting to four hours—and the progression lacked a cohesive culinary narrative. It is with great disappointment that my experience was misaligned with the expectations generated by the restaurant’s reputation.

Disappointment is the perfect way to describe this experience. We were so excited to try the new menu which included the return of the honey-lavender duck. A return to the glorious past right? Unfortunately, the menu is still primarily vegetarian and while decent, not special. The laminated bread with onion butter is the starter and it's really good. The onion broth give the butter a complex and interesting flavor. The next dish, leek and coriander steamed collard green dumplings was average. There's a nice use of spices, especially saffron, but still not a standout. The highlight to the soba noodles dish was the tomatoes which were truly impressive but that can't hold a dish, especially with the noodles being bland. The butter-poached lobster was also nice but not particularly memorable as it needs something more to be impressive. Next was the potato, served in a clay pot with land caviar (seeds) and chive blossom. This was a really great dish and while the vegetarian caviar didn't taste quite like the real thing, it was very good. The potato itself was cooked perfectly and overall this was my favorite. Now on to the duck. You've read about it and there was a lot of hype but the truth is it was tough and the lavender only numbed my taste buds. This is the definitive example of a bland dish. It also would have been helpful to have a steak knife since the duck was so tough (!). Finally on to the service, with for a 3 star should have been over the top. Yes there's a lot of staff but they are very mechanical and cold. When I mentioned the tough duck and my disappointment with it, the waiter literally said "ok, now let me tell you about the dessert". Wow. I'm not expecting a freebie but at least acknowledge you'll tell the chef.. Overall all the bad buzz is real and having dined in many Michelin started restaurants, including past iterations of this one, this was one of my least impressive visits.

Good experience, but not even close to worth the cost of the dinner. The food was very good, and the service was very good as well, but neither were to the standard that we expected for what was voted the best restaurant in the world. The sommelier talked us into a wine that was around double the price of a bottle we were looking at and it was just decent. He also promised us a glass of the cheaper wine we were looking at, but we never received that, and by the time we asked to speak with him he was gone. Besides the bread, which was the best bread I have ever had in my life, nothing else left a lasting positive impression on me. The kitchen tour, which we had to ask for, was pretty cool, but the kitchen tour at Alenia in Chicago is far and above a better experience. For a place that prides itself on customer service, it seemed as if you were bothering people to ask for things. I was even dumb enough to leave a 20% tip on top of my meal (maybe it was the overpriced wine bottle), and it seemed as if the staff was still learning. The one thing I would give them is if they did not know something they would not lie to you, but they would ask others. It was also cool to see how they move around the room in patterns. Unless they greatly improve, I think that there are much better dining experiences in the city for much more reasonable prices.

This was one of the most disappointing meals that I can remember. We had such high hopes since we enjoyed the retrospective menu from May 2017 *so* much that much of it remained seared in our culinary memory, but this meal was a total flop, an anticlimactic decrescendo that slapped us in the face with a $1,400 price tag. We are still reeling from the experience today and vowed never to come back. I commend the sustainability concept and how this would make EMP a pioneer in the culinary world, but that’s only if the dishes were actually good. There was not one single “wow” in any course throughout the evening; everything was flat, unremarkable, had no real developed flavors, was missing acid in a few dishes, and the dessert course included some tough mochi and strawberries that were banged up and tasted less than fresh. We remarked that this seemed indicative that EMP didn’t have a pastry chef that could deliver a delicious dessert. The bread and butter course may have been the tastiest, which is sad. The soba noodles were so unappetizing, I could not even make it through the dish. Our last experience was brilliant and inventive with beautiful plating and unique concepts like a meat grinder to make carrot tartare tableside. There was none of that here, just mediocrity. The one (and only) thing I thoroughly enjoyed was the banana cocktail. I ordered two, they were lovely. The dressed lettuces with the ricotta cheese were also tasty, and the hasselback potato was just ok. The celebration dish (peas and beans), the asparagus, the fried fritter, the soba noodles, and the romanesco were all unappetizing. The team poured a “mole” sauce that they said was more like a salsa verde, and honestly it had little to no flavor as the whole dish was overrun with the flavors of masa and bitter dandelion green. We asked the sommelier for a Brut at a $200 price point to accompany the bulk of our meal, and we noted that there were lots of options in that price range (or less). We got the check and were charged $255 for an underwhelming bottle of sparkling wine, 25% more than the requested budget and it truly was unimpressive. I was surprised that this was not communicated to us by the sommelier. We wanted something bright and crisp and instead, we got a bottle of Champagne Clan Destin that had a peculiar aftertaste (like Smarties candy) on the palate and did not finish clean at all. It was not at all the bottle of wine we hoped to enjoy and regretted that the sommelier asked us to trust her with a blind selection. Another unique aspect is that most restaurants parse out the cost of the menu and items pretax for gratuity. Here, the prepayment listed included the tax on the meal. We didn’t say anything because it was just a difference in maybe $10 of gratuity which was not a big deal and we were happy to pay, but I appreciate when restaurants are thoughtful and transparent with these things. This celebration was for my husband’s 40th birthday and we wanted it to be really special- this was the only “gift” he wanted: a memorable and beautiful dinner. He felt really disappointed and sad at the end and asked if he could select a different restaurant for a redo celebration, which broke my heart because my husband always finds a way to spin a negative situation into a positive one. I am just so upset that we spent so much money on such an underwhelming experience when we could have gone to Joomak, Cesar, Jungsik, or any other exceptional restaurant that knows how to deliver at this price point. We certainly spend a good sum on food and fine dining, and have no issues doing so if it’s a great experience, but that did not happen yesterday evening. If Eleven Madison Park didn’t have a good reputation for years, I am confident that not many folks would choose to dine here. I am surprised that the team does not note how underwhelmed their clients are- the two tables surrounding us were also celebrating birthdays and I overheard them also remark about how underwhelmed they were and one of the tables wishes that they left midway through the meal.

I had heard wonderful things about Eleven Madison Park, but the experience was extremely disappointing and did not justify the price. I had the full tasting menu with wine pairing, and these are my main concerns: 1. Excessive time between courses. The service took far too long between courses. My reservation was at 5:45 pm, and dinner ended at 9:15 pm. This pacing is not reasonable for a three-Michelin-star restaurant. 2. Service below expectations, especially the wine pairing. The wine pairing presentation was very poor. Each wine was introduced with only a few words, with no depth, explanation, or storytelling. The experience felt superficial and far below what is expected at this level. 3. Lack of seasonal coherence in the menu. Considering it was winter, I was surprised to be served a dessert (Sicilian style orange ice). The dish felt completely disconnected from the season.

It makes me sad to share that I had an underwhelming experience here last night. I dined at Eleven Madison Park with high expectations, and unfortunately the experience fell short of what a restaurant of this reputation should deliver. This visit was especially meaningful, as it was both my birthday and New Year’s Eve, and EMP has long been my number one must-try restaurant in the world. I’ve worked in the service industry for a decade and have read Unreasonable Hospitality multiple times. I truly admire the philosophy behind this book, which made this experience even more disappointing. From the beginning, we felt rushed. We were hurried over to our table 20 minutes before our reservation when we had hoped for a drink at the upstairs bar first. Our table was shoved in a corner and was lacking white table cloths/more elegant settings since we were seated at a bar table. The first course arrived before our cocktails, which threw off the pacing of the meal and felt very rushed. One particularly surprising moment was when my soup was poured into my water glass instead of the proper vessel. I was sad that more soup was not brought to replenish my serving as it was delicious, but I feel I missed about a quarter of the serving from the faux pas. I was very disappointed that the duck was removed from the tasting menu for the night as this was a course I have been fantasizing about trying for over a year. I was excited it was supposed to be back now that the restaurant is no longer vegan. Dessert arrived frozen solid, we could not break into it. My date’s dessert went flying off his plate from his effort to cut into it, so it had to be replaced. While mistakes can happen anywhere, experiencing this many issues at a restaurant that holds three Michelin stars was genuinely underwhelming. What stood out most was the service overall. The servers felt over-rehearsed and burnt out, like they were just going through the motions rather than offering genuine hospitality. I believe this is why so many mistakes were made. My date remarked that the staff felt very green, but my feeling was that holiday burn out was wearing everyone thin. At this price point, and at a three-Michelin-star level, the experience should feel thoughtful, seamless, and warm. Instead, it felt rushed and mechanical, lacking the care and attention to detail that make a meal truly special. I am hopeful that these rare mistakes can be addressed and corrected for future diners to better enjoy the experience I had anticipated for so long.

Food was salty minimalist vegan. Croissant bread was very good. The rest of the meal was a disappointment.

Restaurant service was so poor we asked for new server. Menu was not worthy of Michelin star let alone 3. The only salad choice was a leek salad . Restaurant asked if needed to accommodate any al…

The dinner was a great deception. From a *** Michelin restaurant I expect much more. The dessert was a disaster and we told them so. In terms of atmosphere, the seats are great but the music far to…

Extremely disappointing experience. Our group reduced the reservation from 7 to 5 weeks in advance, confirmed by both email and phone, yet EMP still charged for 7 people. Being billed for seats we did not use despite early notice felt deeply unfair and left us feeling taken advantage of. The food made the situation worse. The new duck dish was shockingly dry, the vegan options were bland and uninspired. Nothing came close to Michelin quality. For a restaurant of this reputation, the entire experience felt careless, dismissive and far from honest hospitality. I strongly advise others to think twice before committing to a prepaid reservation here.

Heartbroken to hear you offer animals on your menu again. I have only had the opportunity to have the vegan bake it nice and it was so good. You may as well change it to bake it cruel. Was going to go out and get more pastries from you this Saturday. Good things never last. Will never be a customer here again. Will never wait in one of your long lines ever again! Was always my dream to dine here and have the full vegan experience. I am sure you were not making any money because so many vegan restaurants are tanking in the world. So sad. You should have just said the truth.

As a Michelin Star restaurant lover I was looking forward to try 11 Madison. Unfortunately the food was either too salty, or too plain, lobster dish was just fine but we didn’t enjoy any other dish ( we took both regular and vegan menu to try). I’m honestly very confused how this restaurant received any Michelin star. On top of that they low key ruined the birthday we booked to celebrate. It was such a long boring service with little knowledge of what they were serving with long wait between meal. Drinks were fine but didn’t compliment the food which is not ok for the price of the restaurant. When they asked how was our experience at the end - we mentioned that the birthday was not celebrated they said they ran out of candles sorry. What a lame excuse for $1000 dinner, you’re in Manhattan - go buy a candle from any pharmacy nearby!! The desert was shaved ice in the coldest winter ever in NYC ,they offered us tea before serving dessert which obviously won’t go with shaved ice! I get they want to sale the tea but offer something that goes with the desert at least! Beware and don’t waste your time and money. Better go to - Le Bernardin - it delivers what 11 Madison promises.

A very disappointing experience. The table was near the door, and the cold air hit my back the entire time. The place is a large room that offers no intimacy, with resounding acoustics. The first course was bread with onions, with a butter that had a very strong flavor. The second course was rice with a super spicy sauce. My palate was completely on fire, making it impossible to truly savor the subsequent courses. The cold dishes were frozen, and those that were supposed to be hot were lukewarm. Dessert was a granita, also covered in the aroma of the Amaetroc di Saronno. No dish offered the opportunity to savor the true essence of the products, except for the mushroom one, which really highlighted the product. The staff was attentive and kind, and even the chef, who conducted the table tour, was very helpful and friendly. Maybe we Italians have a different cuisine, but I believe that an experience in a starred restaurant should excite and convey something. This is what's missing.
